Close to my house and such a nice spot. First time trying a lamb burger—so yummy! A happy place for a good breakfast 🍽️✨
What an absolute gem Parkhouse Eatery is. I almost don’t want to say how fantastic the food, service and drinks were for selfish reasons and to keep the secret going but I won’t. It’s amazing. They have outside and inside seating. A cool bar rounds the inside of this converted restaurant. Decor and menu all hit and so do the specials. We waited 30 mins for a table at brunch time on a Sunday and would have waited longer. Worth it!
Long wait line, worth it. The staff is excellent. Communicative and kind. We ordered the PH salad with shrimp, acai bowl, and the lamb burger. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and was really tasty. They actually got my order wrong with the beef burger, but they were quick to fix it and adding a veggie platter. Took 5 minutes to replace. All the food was good and fresh, and the bathrooms were clean. Worth the price and wait.
First visited Parkhouse in 1996 when it opened. Absolutely top San Diego brunch restaurant with consistent high level food for almost 30 years. So many restaurants fail but this place continues to shine. Lots of copycat restaurants to choose from now with talented chefs. We are lucky in San Diego to have so many great restaurant choices. Expensive? No! More like a good value if you are a home chef and know what it takes to make eggs benedict at home (I do quite often and a pain). I will keep this on a regular brunch rotation as long at it keeps going.
This is an amazing restaurant. The staff is friendly, energetic and makes you feel like family. The food is amazing. I have tried so many foods off the menu and have always been very satisfied with my choices. The specials of the day are incredible...it's like the chef dreams something up with the ingredients and makes a masterpiece. Highly recommend!
So many places offer unique eggs benny variations that sound great on paper but mid on the plate, this is not one of those places. The Cowboy Benny was maybe the best, most balanced "unique" benny I've ever had. The spicy scramble we got was killer too and the house hot sauce slaps. My Mexican Mule was A+. Only slight neg would be the espresso martini was a little on the flat side. Cant wait to come back 🤘🤘
Quaint little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for a small friend, family, or date night. It’s got a quiet, warm, homely, and intimate atmosphere. Food prices are on point with what I’d expect given the food and the area. Expect about 25/35 pp for an entree. We ordered a glass of prosecco(so yummy). The brussel sprout appetizer (could use a bit more Brussels and a little less sauce) was divine. The kale Caesar salad (a little less cheese and a little less dressing) was so fresh. And then my sister ordered the steak and I ordered the salmon, replacing the mashers with fries. It all came out hot, seasoned well, and fresh. I would absolutely go here again! Our waitress was kind, funny, and perfectly attentive. It also seemed like although there were just a handful of wait staff, they all worked together very well and made sure everyone got their food timely and checked on everyone regularly.
Our server Javi was amazing! My husband and I visited here for the first time and Javi really made our experience great. Service was super attentive and warm. I also had the spicy tofu scramble, which was incredible. Hubby had the Mexican mocha which was rich, warm, and just the right amount of sweet. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place!
Lemon Ricotta Pancakes comment got us in the door. So glad we did. They offer a pancake combo, and offered a lemon ricotta pancake with blueberry sauce when asked. The house chicken sausage patty looked to me like a cookie. Well, it certainly is NOT a cookie, and a few chunks were nice and spicy. Nothing short of excellent. My wife found some pan fried linuini with eggs, feta, basil... and it has perhaps changed some our thinking about pasta for Brunch. A red sauce piped around the plate was extra delectable. A large old house converted to a restaurant. Outdoor seating on the grounds, well landscaped and maintained. Excellent Mexican Mocha with Oatmilk, though I keep hoping for a cayenne version, this one was remarkably tasty absent the extra heat. Lots of 2 and 4 tops, table or counter height. A decent crew of attendants who never left you wondering where they went. Beautiful surroundings, and despite this being our only visit, exceptional culinary skills in evidence. Glad I didn't go with the short stack, as this portion was ample.
I grabbed dinner at this American spot the other night, and it turned out better than I thought. The place has a cozy, kinda hometown feel, and the staff was pretty chill and helpful. I ordered a grilled chicken plate with veggies, and everything tasted fresh, maybe a bit light on seasoning for me but still really good overall. My friend got a classic cheeseburger and said it hit the spot. The prices were reasonable too, which is always nice these days. Not the fanciest place around, but definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for simple, good food without any fuss.
Charming restaurant serving breakfast and sandwiches for almost 3 years. The service is superb, the food delicious, and the restaurant itself is cute. The lamb burger was thick, very juicy, and delicious. The fries that came with it were excellent, where the outside was crispy and inside tender. The three egg scrambles were all very good.
⸻ The staff were very friendly, the service was fast, and the food was delicious! I ordered lunch and my husband had brunch, just take a look at the photo, it says it all. This will definitely be my go-to spot whenever I’m back in San Diego. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and it fills up quickly. I sat outside and absolutely loved it! I already miss it!
So delicious! We had the stir-fried rice bowl, One bluecorn meal flapjack meal, and my kiddo has the one pancake meal. We also ordered PH Sunrise and Cran Pomegranate mimosas and both were worth the $1 upgrade for the prosecco instead of champagne. A restaurant I would recommend and will be coming back to the next I’m in San Diego.
This place was so good that when I was visiting, I went two mornings in a row!! The stuffed French toast was to DIE for, the pancakes melt in your mouth, & the Asian rice brunch dish was sooo good. There is literally nothing bad on this menu. The mimosas were some of the best I’ve ever had too! Not too sweet & fresh orange juice taste. I would highly recommend!
In 2023, I decided to try this place for brunch. 2 years later, it’s hands down one of my favorite places to enjoy brunch with friends. This year alone I have already celebrated 2 special occasions here(yes, they do have a birthday club). I’m addicted to their mimosas and Eggs Benedicts. Pair the excellent food with the cozy environment and you’ve got the perfect brunch spot.
Stopped here for some brunch. Decided to get the eggs and bacon plate. It came with mashed potatoes which were sooo good. Also got the turkey chorizo plate that’s mixed with potatoes and eggs. The chorizo had a delicious kick to it. Ended the meal with some hot lattes which were delicious as well! Overall a great experience.
We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday morning. I'm glad we were able to grab parking quickly. We booked a reservation ahead of time, learning from our previous experience with the place. I ordered a cafe latte, which came in a big cup safe to say that's equivalent to 2 cups. I also ordered the french toast combo that came with scrambled eggs and bacon. My husband ordered the pork belly benedict. We both liked our good.
My wife and I have been eating here since we were dating and we love this restaurant. We just came back from having breakfast and everything was delicious. The Green mole chilaquiles were delicious but a little salty but the egg balanced out the saltiness. The massive raspberry chocolate muffin was delicious and crunchy around the muffin top edges. We also ordered a table pancake and selected the lemon ricotta pancake with blueberry drizzle which was perfectly fluffy and delicious. 1

This place in INCREDIBLE from the food to the service! The outdoor area is also dog-friendly which is a treat. If you haven't tried this place, GO! If I loved near, I'd go every day!
Best crab cake ever! Seasoned with sun dried tomato sauce and cilantro. Great option for our late lunch! Sitting outside gave a cozy environment!
Nice, cozy spot for breakfast. Great selection with unique takes on the classics . Avg about $15 - $25 per dish, so a bit on the pricey side for some for breakfast but if u do Dennys or IHOP your going to pay about that amount anyways but get better quality, unique choices and better ambiance. Want to try their interesting options for Benedicts on the next visit.
Such a cute brunch spot! The food was delicious, the space was clean and welcoming, and the staff was so friendly. They even surprised us with a free churro pancake (which is delicious by the way -way too good!) for our late friend’s birthday that we were celebrating. All of the special touches made the experience extra special. Highly recommend for a tasty and fun brunch!

Food is good. Service lacks. It shouldn't be that staff show preference in seating when there's a 40+ minute wait for everyone else.
NOT TODAY! I will give you another shot next year. I used to come here often when I lived on Adams and Park about 3-4 years ago. I decided to visit for breakfast this weekend with friends and was highly disappointed and grossed out. This place has taken the overpopulation in the area for granted and serving mediocre/substandard food at high prices. This quality of food has no place in this area and unquestionably not at $25-30/plate. Crab is overpriced and tasteless. The breakfast burrito and potatoes tasted like reheated truck stop food. The food was bland and unnecessarily WAY overly spiced. Parkhouse, you have become complacent in today’s restaurant dine-out culture. And please clean the restaurant— it’s disgusting.. everything’s coated with a layer of dust. I started sneezing 5-10 after I got here. What a shame!
