Bewertungen von Ramen Nagi San Diego
My husband and I were fans of Ramen Nagi ever since we tried them a few times in the Bay Area before this San Diego location opened. It’s nice to find that the taste and quality is still the same as we remember. They no longer offer free mustard greens, but the bean sprouts and sesame seeds are still free. I enjoyed my original king ramen with light salt, no oil, extra heavy garlic, cabbage topping, kakuni, thick noodle firm. The karaage chicken was covered in a tasty honey soy sesame oil sauce, but way too oily for me to eat many. I liked the crisp and egg dipping sauce. Parking is 2 hours free at UTC mall. For lunch on Thursday about 1pm, we walked right in since the lunch rush was done.
It’s been a year since our last visit here. Six customers ahead of us right after 11AM opening on a Saturday. No wait time for our seats. We were offered / ordered their limited Wagyu slice beef as the main toppings so why not try it. Satisfied with our Ramen. Creamy and hot broth the way we like it. Perfect cooked eggs! - Original King - with Kakuni - Limited Wagyu Beef Slices. I think instead of potatoes, should have been with something else since you already have the noodles (starch). It’s just my personal opinion. I cannot stop eating their seasoned bean sprouts even though it’s peppery, it taste so good! Line gets long and busy so be prepared. Courteous and attentive staff!! Highly recommended if craving for Ramem while shopping at UTC La Jolla mall. Line gets long and busy so be prepared. Courteous and attentive staff!!
This is my families favorite ramen chain. Usually have to take a trip to LA for this, but found that they opened one in La Jolla not too long ago. Food is always exceptional and service is quick. We've only ever had the karaage chicken and gyoza, both are delicious. There's been a few times that we want to go there just for the chicken. There are a few types of broth but we typically go for the red (mild spicy). The wait to be seated is typically 30 minutes to an hour. But once you're seated everything comes really quick. While in line you're handed a menu on a paper for each person and you use their markers to get everything normal (chefs choice) or you can customize everything. You also pick the appetizer and drinks on the same menu. Once closer to being seated, someone checks your order and takes down the number of people in your group. For the La Jolla location you can be seated outside or inside. Downside to being inside is that you're sometimes at the same table as other groups or seated really close to others and you can hear everything they say regardless of how annoying they sound. Turnover at this place is typically quick cause its small. Servers start removing empty plates immediately and you're given the check. They dont rush you to leave but you kind of feel the pressure to go cause everyone around you is coming and going. After a big bowl of ramen the last thing you want is to simply sit anyway.
Parking Guidelines: Go into the parking lot inside the plaza. Drive all the way to the end toward the UCSD Health direction. Take the elevator up, and Nagi will be right there. We’ve tried all the ramen types here. My husband’s favorite is the Red King, and mine is the Veggie King. The Green King is a bit too oily for me. I don’t really remember the other types. The Veggie King is so good — I usually finish all the soup! But the two fried potato cakes are a bit too much for me.
The pork belly!! I feel like sometimes the meat in ramen is an afterthought, but I was blown away by the flavor and tender texture of the pork belly. My sister and I went to Ramen Nagi on a Friday evening. We arrived at 6 pm and only waited about 5 minutes for a table - this was definitely the right call, because the line was a lot longer when we left at around 6:45 pm. We ordered most of the chef’s recommended choices (except for the pork belly on my end), and I ordered a level 2 spice. The staff were very friendly in explaining how the menu worked. I also appreciated the tissues at the table - this is clearly ramen eating for professionals. The broth was so rich and delicious and the noodles were the perfect bite. We both ordered a marinated egg, and although I felt it didn’t really add to the ramen, my sister liked hers. Definitely in my top 5 ramens. I would go back, and the only thing I’d change is taking the spice down to a level 1. I like spicy food but I don’t love it, and for me the level 2 was at the top of my spice tolerance, to the point where my mouth was getting too hot and it was interfering with my enjoyment of the broth.
The GM there was terrific, he made sure we were seated as soon as we could as we understood it, there’s always lines to this restaurant, but from what the group said, it’s so worth it. And they were right! I was blown away with how good the food was and how quickly the service was, they were never pushy. Unfortunately it was raining outside so it was limiting outdoor seating but by the time it really came down, we were dry, safe inside enjoying our food. The GM travels to his various locations and we were fortunate enough to meet and talk to him, since he travels from Arizona. Lovely gentleman and really made sure we were very happy with our food, the service and everything. Couldn’t ask for a better dinner!
I think this is my favorite ramen place and I have been to so many including in Japan. Everything is excellent and you can even choose how much salt, oil, and spice you want, what type of noodles, toppings, etc. It's so customizable and each person's order is so well done. The fried gyoza is also amazing!
Best ramen that i have eaten so far, hands down! From the broth to the ingredients and the Japanese style atmosphere combined with the outdoor arrangement left us completely satisfied!!!!
We found this place completely by chance, and wow, it ended up being the best ramen we’ve ever had! My wife and I both like it spicy, so we went with the Red King, and our son got the Original King. We were all super happy with our choices. The flavors were amazing, and being able to customize everything was a nice bonus. Definitely get the pork belly if you go. It was insanely good. Just a heads up, the pictures were taken after we had already started eating.
This place is amazing! We went for the first time yesterday afternoon for linner. The waiting and line is a little confusing, but the workers are very friendly and patient and will guide you where to go. One person will give you a very thorough breakdown of how to fill out the order form, including broth types, add-ons, noodles, and spice levels. Something that's cool is that they have a Chefs Recommended option for those who aren't too well versed in ramen eating! The Red Kong spicy ramen I got was one of the best ramens I have ever had. When they said savory they were not lying! It has a sweet, sour, and spicy flavor that I absolutely love - you know what I'm talking about if you're a spice fan. I will definitely be getting it again next time I visit! A friend had us grab some karaage on the side, it was well fried and had a sweet flavor coating the fried batter. The atmosphere is great, it helps they are in a further section of UTC away from the main food court, so you know if people are coming here it better be good. The prices are also moderately fair compared to some other ramen places I've been, definitely a bonus. The only downside is that the line is normally pretty long. My friends and I got lucky and arrived right as the line was empty, so we waited maybe 5 minutes. While eating, we saw a line forming and guests waiting for seating, which there was not that much of.
The ramen is so good. So far, I’ve tried red (spice level 7-10), original, and black king. Red king has a much thicker broth than the original. Large portions and quick service
The ramen is one of the best I've ever had. The broth, the noodle, and the pork are delicious!! The chasu rice is so good!! The service is top-notch! All the servers are so fast, and always check in on you! They are very welcoming! The place is also nice. We ate outside because I have my doggo. But amazing on everything!!
A Must-Try Ramen Spot in Westfield UTC Ramen Nagi is easily one of the most popular dining spots in Westfield UTC Mall, with people lining up as early as 11AK OR 5PM on weekdays. The indoor seating is quite limited, but the outdoor dining area is spacious and stylish, offering a great view of the mall and pool—a perfect spot to enjoy a bowl of ramen. The menu is simple yet customizable. While waiting in line, guests receive an order sheet to select their preferred ramen options, including noodle firmness, broth thickness, garlic, salt, vegetables, and additional toppings. This streamlined process boosts efficiency, ensuring quick service. Additional toppings like Tamago (Japanese-style egg), seaweed, extra Chashu, extra vegetables, Chashu rice bowl, and Karaage are available for an extra charge. For small groups or solo diners, there’s a chance of shared seating, which helps reduce waiting time. Despite the crowd, the staff is friendly and efficient, keeping the experience smooth and enjoyable. As for the ramen itself, the Original king is a must-try, featuring a thick, aromatic Tonkustu broth that’s rich in flavor. The Black King is infused with squid ink, adding a unique depth that pairs well with the noodles and Chashu. If you’re into spice, the Red King delivers a flavorful kick—just be mindful of the spice level when filling out your order sheet! The ramen would be great with the extra Japanese Style Egg (Tamago). The price has raised dramatically as the Black King Ramen from 1$6.25 (2024) to $17.95 (2025) and soft boiled egg from $1.95 (2024) to $2.75 (2025). A huge plus is their pet-friendly outdoor dining area, where dogs are welcome. It's best to plan ahead and leave extra time for both waiting and dining if coming in a large group.
This was my first time here, the food was amazing and the customer service was even better! Brandon the host made our experience great and he gave us the best recommendations! If you think you had good ramen before It definitely doesn’t compare to this one!

Incredibly delicious ramen! Highly recommend the Green King Pesto Ramen! YUM! Chicken karage and Edemame were amazing too! Great staff and atmosphere! Loved it!
Love the service concept here. They give you a piece of paper in line and you decide which ramen you want and how you want it prepared. I highly recommend the green king - it's definitely different, but so delicious! They also have gyoza, which is not on the menu, but you can just ask for it. They do not serve any alcoholic beverages. But honestly, it's probably why everything else is so quick. You don't have people sitting at tables longer than necessary, so waiting in line goes quickly.

I think the Ramen some of the best I have ever had. The toping were top notch. The broth was also very good, I think I slightly prefer the Menya both at times. But next time I think I will order extra garlic here (my friend also recommends getting the thicker noodles). The Red King was really good. I'm not the biggest fan of the venue itself, it is a little small and there is a bit of a wait. I was there on a rainy day and was seated outside and was kind of freezing (yeah, I'm a southern Californian).
My family of 5 went to enjoy some Ramen. The wait was about 15 to 20 minutes, but it was well worth it. A service person delivers u a menu while waiting in line and takes your order. While waiting for in line you can enjoy the beautiful koi pond. My family was seated quickly. We enjoyed the lively ambiance. The bustling passerbyers during the holiday made it even more vibrant. The food was 5 stars with so much robust flavor. We all ordered the Red King 🤴 and enjoyed the spice. We also ordered Kaarage.
Ramen Nagi is a ramen restaurant in the corner of UTC. There's often a line outside, which is because the shop is small and you have to wait at the door to order. I suspect the restaurant is deliberately slow just to create the effect of a long queue. When I came for the first time, I ordered the Black King ramen and thought it was just average. This is my second visit—they even launched a pumpkin flavor for Halloween. The pumpkin has a crispy texture like potato chips, and it tastes quite good. I sat outside for al fresco dining; the environment is beautiful and has a unique charm.
First time trying Ramen Nagi at UTC before watching Freaky Friday! My friend lined up for us, which was great because it usually has a long wait, especially on weekends. I ordered the basic ramen with pork belly and cabbage, sadly, no corn (I always love ramen with corn!). It was okay, not the best I’ve had, but still nice to try. My friend went for spice level 3, and she could definitely handle more! The restaurant is small but very busy, with good service. I also liked that they had lots of condiments on the table like ginger, soy sauce, and spices. Worth trying!
Great Ramen- no chicken ramen option. Pork and veggie only. But flavors are wonderful. Spicy levels are also good.
I visited this ramen shop located in a westfield shoppina mall, where you can customize your own bowl based on the menu. I ordered thin noodles in a rich tonkotsu broth with an egg. The soup was incredibly flavorful and thick, just the way I like it. The thin noodles were also to my taste, though they had a slightly strong wheat aroma or flavor. So far, this might be the best ramen I’ve had in San Diego! The gyoza had a nice crispy wing, which I enjoyed, but I wish they had vinegar soy sauce available as a dipping option. The karaage (fried chicken) was also delicious. Overall, a great spot for ramen lovers!
A decent ramen spot with a few tasty options to choose from. The wait to get in and for the food can be a bit long, especially during busy hours. The ramen itself was pretty good, but due to the crowd, things like utensils and side dishes on the table weren’t always restocked in time. Still worth a visit if you're craving ramen and don't mind a bit of a wait.

Ramen is delicious and can be customized in various ways (e.g., thickness, noodles texture, saltiness). We came here Sunday night and need to stay in the line to get the seat. We wait for about 30 minutes. Their ramen is little expensive than others and there is extra fee if you want add an egg.
Good Ramen, with good service. I just think their broth was too oily. Their chicken karage was good but also too oily for me. I believe they added sesame oil on top or something. No beer or alcohol. The place was nice and the staff were nice and friendly, too. The seating system is little different so you will need to stay in a line until they give you a table.
Pretty average ramen. We ordered the red spicy broth (light). Despite customizing it to be light in broth and oil, it was noticeably thick. The broth also had a sweet flavor I couldn’t completely identify. Noodles were a little odd too, they didn’t feel as smooth as traditional ramen. Fried chicken was fried well, but the chicken flavor itself was lacking.
