Very excited to come eat waba grill in my area. However, one of the workers was on his phone the entire time. He had his phone on speaker and was so focused on his phone he took forever to attend me. While ringing me up he was still on his phone full blast speaker phone. While in the kitchen still using his phone while the other guy worked. The guys name was Giovani well that’s what it said on the receipt. He definitely made this an undesirable place and he was very unprofessional.

I placed an app order at 2:50 for pick up at 3:30. When I arrived at 3:40 my order was still not ready. I was told it would be about 5 more minutes and I did not mind. Although I did place the order to wait less, since I was meeting a friend nearby. I did not get my order until almost 4. It was disappointing but I know there was only 2 people in the kitchen so I did not want to be prissy about it. I did ask the guy for some extra hot sauce and he said he would have to charge me 30 cents per packet. This is when I said, “hey I waited about 30 minutes extra for my food, is there anyway you can just hook it up because of the wait”. He said “No I would get in a lot of trouble if I do not charge for the hot sauce it’s just store policy, I’m sorry”. I do not blame the guy at all but that’s a ridiculous policy to enforce so strongly without any exceptions. This place claims that customer opinions are important to them, I highly suggest they fix their staffing issues and make SOME exceptions to the ridiculous hot sauce rule. And yes, I am going to request a free drink for his reviews thank you very much.

Weird customer service, the young man arguing and saying his mom owns all the Waba Grills in San Diego, after i had asked if they had the original waba sauce bottles for sale. I told him it was fine if it was a refillable bottle i still paid for it but he kept arguing with me and claiming i was wrong. Maybe teach the son of the owners to be more respectful.
