Friendly people quick and easy online order as well
Stopped by Subway today for a quick bite, and not only was the food on point, but the service really stood out—thanks to Robert behind the counter. From the moment I walked in, Robert greeted me with a smile and a genuinely positive attitude. He didn’t just go through the motions—he asked how my day was going, gave great suggestions for my sandwich (pro tip from Robert: toasted Italian Herbs & Cheese with chipotle sauce is chef’s kiss), and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. He was fast, friendly, and handled the lunchtime rush like a pro—never once losing that upbeat energy. The sandwich was fresh, stacked just right, and actually looked like the photos (rare these days!). Honestly, it's service like this that makes you want to come back. If you're stopping by this Subway, hope you catch Robert on shift—he makes the experience better than you'd expect from a fast food spot.
Manager Karla it’s super nice and pretty she always has the store really clean veggies are always fresh , the bread it’s super delicious and soft 💯🙌🏽
dropped my sandwich and they were friendly and made me a new one! good crew and vibes! thank you guys 🙏
Love the remodel work that has been done. Very nice atmosphere/vibe. Lots of menu options. Food is great and service is fantastic. There was a wait to get in, but they are very efficient (not rushed) and the wait was very minimal. Would definitely recommend!
Broken Yolk is great for portion size and flavor! Been to multiple locations in different states and it always hits the spot. Service was fairly quick and server was friendly. Our table order a variety of breakfast items that nearly all came out together and had no issues. Will definitely be back at some point!
A diner-style breakfast/lunch gem in San Diego! The food here is delicious and well made. They have a variety of delectable and fun breakfast options. The food was flavorsome and hearty. Our server, Christian was engaging, friendly and attentive. Good vibes, large portions guaranteed to be filling and some delicious, customizable cocktail choices!
Christian was great at serving us, the food was excellent! We would most definitely come back.

I got take out and drank a mimosa while I waited. I had the chilaquiles bowl, which was delicious! Will definitely go back here next time I’m in town.
Great place we didn't wait long about 5 minutes but then again it was about 1pm on Saturday. Quick service and easy to pay at the end.
Google Maps recommended The Broken Yolk, and I'm glad they did. Great service, good portions and very decent prices. I had the Noname omelette, delicious.
What a find at 6am after 25 hours of travelling. Attentive staff, superb selection of omelette and pancakes as well as platters for all day dining.
This is a great breakfast spot. The menu is laid out perfectly with everything you need. Food is tasty. Service is friendly and fabulous and the prices aren’t stupid.

Absolutely AMAZING breakfast! So good we went twice within a few days! Great food, drinks, atmosphere & staff! The flight of Mimosas & Bloody Mary’s are a must!
Love that this Subway is actually open 24 hours! Fast service and correct orders. A bummer that the bathroom was out of “service” but not the biggest issue in the world. Slightly annoyed that you can only use coupons if you order online - but the app doesn’t let you use your EBT card as a payment method so their promos and discounts dont apply when using EBT unfortunately ($6.99 any footlong I’m talking to you!!) Overall neat and tidy tho and will be back again for more late night subs!!
The service was friendly and phenomenal. Our waiter was fantastic and always kept my black coffee full. The food itself was ok. On the plus side, we enjoyed watching the soccer matches playing on the tv by us. Not sure if we'll come back, but it might be worth your time and money if you're nearby and you only feel like dealing with great service in the morning.
Loved the dining room setup with ample booths. Service was great, coffee right away when seated. And no wait at 8am. We had to try the Cinna-cake and it was available as a side item. The cream cheese topping was perfect ( not too sweet) with cinnamon topped pancake the size of a dinner plate. Yummy! Main dish was a Cali Breakfast Burrito which included avocado, egg, bacon and cheese. Salsa and rice+beans were a flavorful accompaniment.
We ordered the Chilaquiles bowl and they were bomb. They came out fast and hot, and the waiters were super fast, friendly and helpful. Especially Christian Rome.

Good food and portions, but a little too spicy for us. Make sure you know what you're ordering. Ours said peppers, but where we are from, in a breakfast this is green or red peppers, not spicy ones.

We grabbed a quick lunch here before leaving town. Service was SO SLOW and they weren't that busy. It took forever for my husband to get a pepsi. Food was ok but nothing great.

Stopped in before a Padres Game and ordered on the kiosk. Was disappointed that they didn't have ice available as were the other customers since they didn't let us know prior to ordering. Worst was the soda was warm too from the fountain. It was 93 degrees outside. The sandwich was almost as bad. The only thing that didn't disappoint was my jalapeno chips. Sad but true. This place has gone downhill fast. I most likely won't be back. I used to frequent this location often.
Located right next to Petco Park in the gaslamp area. Open all night long. The footlong sandwiches are triple the price they used to be. my sandwich was skimpy as could be. I am disappointed in the amount of products and how light it was. Years ago the 5 dollar footlongs were 3 times as big as what I recently received.
It was our last day in San Diego, and we decided to go there. For that purpose, it was a decent option since the food was prepared fairly quickly. Aside from that, though, I didn’t find it to be anything special. The atmosphere was mediocre and nothing memorable. The food was okay—not particularly fresh—although the menu did offer a wide variety of options. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing; the waiter was not friendly and didn’t seem very attentive or professional.
Tried Broken Yolk Café for breakfast, and it was a decent experience. I ordered the Meat Lover Skillet, but it was just okay for me, mostly because it had a lot of potatoes, and I’m not a big fan. If you love potatoes, you might enjoy it more. My friend got the Ranchero Skillet, and he really liked it, so that one might be a better pick. Their juices were fresh and good, which was a nice touch. Overall, a decent spot, but I’d probably try something else next time!
Cute place with "we've got huevos" sign that is visible from outside. Sadly, on the day when we visited (Sunday brunch), there were many call outs and two poor servers had to split restaurant betwe…
The required digital ordering system has made the experience slower and more frustrating than it used to be. In the past, you could walk down the line, tell the team what you wanted, and be out quickly with a fresh sandwich. That efficiency was a big reason to come here. Now, it takes several minutes to click through every option on the screen. Often you need help from the team just to complete the order, and they still have not started making the sandwich. By the time you reach the payment screen, you could have already ordered, eaten, and left under the old process. I understand the goal of using technology, but this system creates delays and confusion instead of improving speed or accuracy. I hope you reconsider how this process works so customers can get back to the fast, simple experience that made this place great.
The sandwich maker was very rude. He didn't acknowledge my presence until I cleared my throat. When I told him I was picking up a mobile order he turned away when I told him my name.
We got the salmon avocado toast, lemon and ricotta pancakes , and steak and eggs, as well as a cappuccino and a latte. the steak is very chewy, although the eggs and hash browns were okay. The pancakes were not flavorful or fluffy at all and seemed to be cooked poorly. The salmon avocado toast was supposed to be on a sourdough but didn’t taste at all like sourdough. The salmon did not taste fresh and the avocado tasted more like cheap store bought avocado spread. My latte was also watered down. The ambience was nice and the waiter was efficient, but the food was definitely lacking- especially for the price point
Got seated quickly, server was attentive. But there were 4 of us at the table, unfortunately 2 of the orders came out completely wrong after we waited 40 minutes after ordering. Asked for not avocado and no beans with breakfast burrito, got extra beans and avocado in the burrito. The build your own omelette came out with green peppers instead of red peppers, said there were no red peppers available and then set a plate of grilled red peppers on the table on the side? Eggs of the omelette were spongey and flavorless. Luckily, they took those two items off the bill. But, we also ordered a $20 chicken and waffles Benedict and was given two from frozen chicken tenders on half a waffle with completely cooked eggs and flavorless hollandaise sauce. Hostess said that the “Thursday kitchen” never makes food right so we should come back tomorrow.
We were in town for a quick birthday trip and decided to stop by here for breakfast. The ambience is nice -- a pretty hip-looking spot -- and we were greeted warmly at the door. There was no wait, …
Older lady being very rude for no reason when I came to politely pick up my order and was very polite she had a very bad attitude and threatened to report me because she was being very nasty and even though I gave her clear and direct information she was upset that she had a difficult time reading the name so I showed her on her phone. She immediately with no reason trying to hinder me from being successful in my endeavors by being unnecessarily difficult and possibly discriminating and would not let me speak to her coworkers without allowing me to explain that I simply am here to pick up an order. Why she was being difficult and her job is to communicate effectively with the public is now inconvenient due to her lack of communication and friendly customer service duties.
I’ve ordered doordash from here multiple times as I work overnight and it’s the only things really open. I’ve always had an issue with the food from here and tonight after eating my other half of the sandwhich ordered yesterday i found HAIRS. i’ve worked restaurants before and even retail and this disgusts me after not one but TWO. in my food. i have dark brown wavy hair and this peice was blonde and straight. I’m disgusted and will definitely be reaching out for compensation .
Horrible experience, avocado skin, pit, banana pepper stems, stem from lettuce in both our sandwiches. When asked for a refund or to remake sandwich employees said they won’t do it, when asked for a number for manager booth employees went to the kitchen and stayed there. We weren’t being aggressive or rude, we just explained and asked politely and they just ignored us after.
I always come to the subway several times a day I came around after midnight and was treated very horribly I ordered two of The deal of the Day meals and for $3 made them into a footlong the person that took my order was extremely rude threw the cookies at me refused to give me a receipt completely not acceptable. I wouldn't give them a one but a 0 I will like to speak to the manager about this Employee need to be fired ASAP
Bathrooms not open during overnight. Few transient about. Ok service but management does not support community. Maybe if you don't look homeless, and ask anyone other than the disheveled kid usually working nights alone, you can use restroom. Preferably, use Walmart within three miles. Not an ideal community vibe with these guys. Gentleman in pic claimed he was the owner. "The 10th guy that messed that bathroom up ruined it for everyone". Is this what subway is about? "F the public" - guy in pic. Last straw with franchise owners.
First time in SD, got here @ 12:40am (kinda late… but OPEN 24hrs!!) and was denied service - stating to place an order on the kiosk ONLY, and that it would be an HOUR wait after that. What kind of service is that? Staffing needs to be addressed at this location, 1 person cant fill all mobile and in-person orders. Unfortunately 0.3/10.
Can build your way. Its all done buly a kiosk then only 1 sandwich maker. Very different from other subways which is unfortunate when you come to a subway knowing what you get. Also 1 worker is crazy and also unsafe for the area. Please do better. P.s. nothing against the worker just the setup and staffing
I always come here and order form the kiosk because they tell you to. They tell you not to order at the counter anymore. So i do and i always ask for extra veggies and extra protein and i pay for it but when they make my sandwich its all small and they dont put the extra items. Even though i paid for them. Big disappointment. This has happened 3 times already.
I am very dissapointed because I told the guy to toast my sandwiches and he didn't do it. I had to heat it up in my home microwave. Also, I had ordered a spicy nacho chicken sandwich and he gave me a roast beef with nacho sandwich covered in all types of sauces that were very salty. He also told us to use the screen to order instead of being polite and take our order and input the order himself.
The staff was really kind and they were working really hard. My problem with my experience was the automated ordering. They had kiosks that you're supposed to order at instead of just asking the human to make it the way you want. It has a terrible UI, and it ends up taking longer to order what you want than it ever took to to have the person make your sandwich - then you have to wait for them to make it! I want it to be clear that the employees were great, but management has made a terrible, anti-human decision here. I'd bet that they're using this to justify lower wages for the (again, exceptional!) staff. Terrible experience, never returning
Subway, no longer offers wraps, made with tortillas only with flat bread. If I wanted bread I’d order a sandwich. It appears the only place I could buy wraps are at hospitals smh
