We felt at home here. The bartender introduced himself by name, and spoke to us by name. It's small, trendy, and upbeat. Love the selection and the pool tables! Great happy hour specials from open to 9. Wonderful bar snacks, too!

This is a fantastic local watering hole. With a fantastic selection of 18 beers on draft and happy hour deals on local San Diego brews that you can't beat anywhere else and free pool, this place tops my list of worthy bars and local pubs in Pacific Beach. Always a great time there, and the beertenders make the experience all the better.

Randomly popped in here visiting town. Tanner is the best host, regulars and off duty staff were extremely hospitable. Felt instantly at home. Would recommend to anyone who loves a cozy dive.

I placed a to go order at Lazy Dog Restaurant, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant was clean, well organized, and welcoming, even just coming in for pickup.The food was fresh, carefully prepared, and well packaged. Everything was neat, intact, and still hot when I received it, which really showed attention to detail and care. What truly made the experience stand out was the customer service. Shayna went above and beyond she took my call personally, handled my order over the phone, and made sure everything was correct. Her patience, kindness, and willingness to help made the experience feel genuine and stress-free. I also want to recognize Justin, who was professional, welcoming, and attentive during pickup. He took the time to make sure everything was in order and made the interaction feel smooth and positive. A big thank you as well to Marnicee, the manager, for clearly leading a well run and intentional team. You can feel the care and professionalism throughout the entire experience. Overall, this was a great takeout experience that felt thoughtful and well handled. If you’re looking for good food, a clean environment, and truly great customer service even for to go orders Lazy Dog is absolutely worth stopping by.

Jenn was a great waitress; friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The restaurant is great. Large with wood interior and unique wood and rock floor. Patio is on the corner, but shaded and comfortable. The food was wonderful. Thai noodles were packed full of flavor and shrimp. The trout was juicy and came with excellent sides of roasted potatoes and green beans with corn and red peppers. Going out to eat is expensive. You want to make sure you check all the boxes: great food, service and relaxing experience. Lazy Dog checks all the boxes. We will definitely be back.

From start to finish, this was a standout experience. Josiah was an exceptional waiter—attentive without hovering, genuinely funny, and incredibly engaging. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, which made the whole meal felt so relaxed. The food was on point: beautifully presented, perfectly timed, and delicious across the board. Had a great time at Lazy Dog! I ordered the bison burger, and it was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I wanted it. The French fries served with it were crispy, golden, and seasoned just right—definitely a perfect pairing. The bar area has a comfy, cozy vibe that makes it a great spot to kick back with a cold beer and hang out with friends or family. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which added to the laid-back and enjoyable atmosphere. All in all, a solid spot for good food, great service, and a chill time. I’ll definitely be back!

I recently visited the lazy dog with my girlfriends for some dinner and a chat, and I was not disappointed! The lazy dog is a really big place, which is a plus! They also had happy hour but we got there late. We ordered noodles, and salads. Everything was very tasty! Ended up ordering dessert which it was delicious. Our server was really nice and helpful. Overall a great experience! Can wait to go back.

Visited some friends in CA for Halloween and loved this place! Couple of drinks and an amazing steak dinner meal. The waitress was extremely nice and loved that they dressed up to be in the spirit of the holiday! With the name "lazy dog" it was also adorable that there were statues and pictures of dogs on the wall :)

Its been awhile since I've dined here. My little Bela is old enough to join me. The service is very welcoming and Burgers are delicious. Burger was prepared with the option Medium. Not many restaurants offer this choice. Coffee is delicious Bela enjoyed the burger with brown rice and mix vegetables

Incredible service, food, and atmosphere. It’s our first trip traveling with a dog and their patio is awesome. We were brought water and bought him a $5 burger bowl with rice and veggies. My husband and I had the cali burger and tofu teriyaki bowl. The burger was great, needed to be cut since it was so stacked haha. My tofu teriyaki bowl was INCREDIBLE. It was cooked so well, and I will miss Lazy Dog when we go back to AZ because of the tofu. We also had the watermelon margarita pitcher. It’s def worth it for $35. We had 2.5 margs each from it and they’re good. $99 for everything. I believe our server was Keenan. He was great too :)

First time here. Great place for a nice meal out. We sat outside in a really nice outdoor area. We are visiting from Ohio. This is a great place, the atmosphere is nice and the food was delicious. The service is good and with a smile. I would recommend this place when visiting San Diego.

Casual family-friendly spot with a large menu. Sign up online for their rewards program and get a coupon for a free starter or dessert. We got the cheese curds, and they were great! Our sandwiches were also very good and a good size. The service wasn't great, but we've certainly had worse. They have a large outdoor patio that is very dog friendly. Parking is free and plentiful.

We went here for Sunday brunch today. Coming from Arizona with family for a casual meal. The vibe and food were great. What was unexpected and outstanding was our service. Shout out to SHEILA. She's possible one of the best servers I've ever had. Highly attentive, warm and friendly and just awesome with options on the dining experience. Our meal was 1000% better because of her. The Dog is a chill place to play some pool and have some decent beers. You really can't ask too much from a place like this.

Good beer lineup. It feels like a locals-only living room/hideaway from the Garnet rage river. Dip in here & take a moment to collect yourself before you jump back in.

They offer a wide variety of food, with a fewp good vegetarian options to choose from, which is definitely a plus. That said, the service can take a bit of time, especially during busier hours. One of the best things about the place is that they’re open late, and on Saturdays they stay open until 00:00, which makes it really convenient. Wonderful desserts and good draft beers to enjoy! The staff are generally very friendly and polite, but they do seem quite overworked. It feels like the team is stretched thin, and management might want to consider adding a few extra hands. That would probably help speed things up and make the overall service smoother and more relaxed.

Visiting the town anf my First time here, overall it was a good experience, particularly with the service was on point (we appreciated huckleberry tasting request for sweet IPA). The selection of beers and cocktails were good and we loved the hazy ipa on drafts. Buffalo wings was good but served slightly cold, hence reducing one stars. Would visit again to try other food and drafts.

We stopped by Lazy Dog and overall had a good experience! We started with the bacon cheddar biscuits and the lemon pepper tots, the biscuits were hands-down the best thing we ordered, warm, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The tots were great too, perfectly crispy and seasoned. For entrées, we tried the Teriyaki Chicken and the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl. Both dishes had good flavor, but the rice in both was undercooked (or had been sitting out a bit too long), so it was a little crunchy. The chicken itself was tasty and well-seasoned, though. Service was great, friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean with a nice, welcoming vibe. Despite the rice issue, we’d definitely come back to try some other dishes, especially after how good those biscuits were!

I’ve come here several times and I’ve never had a bad experience. The restaurant is pretty large with an outdoor patio, bar seating, and regular dining booths and tables. I’m still sad they got rid of my favorite ribs with the umami fries because the flavor of the sauce on those ribs was so good! I used to order delivery to my job multiple times a month. This last visit we did the lunch special and got soup & half a sandwich. The food was great I have 0 complaints. Servers are always pretty attentive and have good knowledge of the menu. I like that they have items that rotate with the season so you always have something new to try. It’s also a great place to watch the games & enjoy happy hour.

Beer / wine only and pool tables are free, so don't expect to play. Large groups of people "claim" tables for the whole night. Better options in Pacific Beach.

It was difficult to rate this place. It was my first time and living just a block away, I was happy to find such a dog friendly establishment. I went yesterday afternoon for happy hour. The HH menu and dog menu were wonderful. Ordered the watermelon margarita and it was the best I’ve ever had. Ordered a couple apps and another marg. Food, drink, waitress was all incredible. My waitress’ shift was over and I was told another would be taking care of me, I insisted on paying with my original waitress so she would get the tip. After that no one came to check on me. She assured me they knew I was there. I waited, and waited, and waited. Trying to get one of the waiters attention to order more. But they just ignored me. Finally got someone’s attention and no one knew who my waiter was. How does that even happen? I was on the patio with my dog. In the end it was frustrating that I didn’t have a waiter to order another drink or request more water for my dog. Instead of them trying to find out who my waiter is I just asked for a box and left. Editing my review because I ordered takeout last night and it was trash. I’ve never see a cheese quesadilla flat as a piece of paper. Every single piece looked like this. Did they forget the cheese?

I’ve been here once before and deleted my previous two-star review so I can post this one but it’s the same as before. I thought I’d give it a chance with the $15 meal promo and I would say the food was definitely middle of the road, nothing stood out. ordered the breaded chicken breast with mashed potatoes and veggies and it was a super thin piece of chicken breast that was overly seasoned. The veggies were overly seasoned with salt, the mashed potatoes not good and I just say, overall, the meal was basically subpar. And like last time I sat at the bar, and the waiter only approach me once early during my meal never came back, never refilled. My water, never checked on me again, so I gave him a subpar tip. To me this is just addressed at IHOP or Denny’s. It’s really just the venue has a little more updated but the food quality the service is no better than a IHOP or Denny’s to me. I will never come back I’ll never spend the money here again I’ll just go back to outback steakhouse. Where are the food is much better and the service is more a tentative and consistent.
