Was Kunden über DNA Pizza sagen
DNA Pizza is a late-night spot connected to a nightclub, offering pizza by the slice and a full bar. While some rave about the pizza and service (shoutout to Morgan!), others complain about cold slices, high prices, and inconsistent hours. Expect a mixed experience.

Great pizza, either by the slice or whole pies. Open exactly when you need it. Staff are awesome. Will be back here.
Attached to the venue... The pizza ain't half bad 😊
Omg! Best pizza ever! Also, please make more locations because I have to drive from Sacramento to San Fran Cisco.
Very interesting and unique place. Live music in one room, and the restraunt in the other. They made the besy vegan pizza I've had!
This is legitimately the best pizza I've had, and I'm glad I don't live nearby since I'd only eat this every day.
Very good pizza ny the slice or you cam order a whole pie. Lots of toppings well worth it.
amazing to have pizza right outside the club!! it is a great idea ;) you have a good night and est before you go home
Excellent pizza and a full bar! Ok, I admit it, my son works there. Just go!
Highly recommend carnivore style pizza. Its got lot of flavor and the sauce is good too! All their pizza's looked good. Great environment and all around a decent joint.
Really eclectic pizza cafe. The pizza choices are in a window immediately as you enter the cafe. The cafe has 10 tables and a lounge seat that accomodates 2 individuals. The cafe is set up for tap beer as well as can or bottle beer. The cafe also has hard liquor. The cafe has a unisex bathroom. The cafe is very clean and organized. The cafe is located between Slim's and the DNA lounge. This is a good stop to eat and run.
Business team was friendly, welcoming and fun. We appreciated it! We were attending a event upstairs at club, which included our family member REO900 in a show case. Blessings to successful '2022 year. Big Broom'😎 A2B 😎🙏 Blessings 🙏💞🙏
I work here, so of course I'll give it the best score I can right? Actually, i rated it that because it's the level of service I'mm dedicated to giving during my shift most mornings. I put a lot of care into every Pizza, Sandwhich or Breakfast burrito I serve because I personally can't stand half assed food. It can ruin my whole day. So if you are looking for a good place for breakfast or brunch, I highly suggest DNA Pizza.
Even at 2:00 in the morning, the staff here are incredibly upbeat and friendly. Quick service and great pizza. Can’t go wrong with this place.
A San Francisco original. The pizza is actually pretty good if you like Neapolitan thin crust style. I wish beer selection was a tad better, but it's still good.
Great coffee! I was surprised too, but worth a visit. Didn't try their pizza, but I did notice they have gluten free and vegan options!
It's a cool place to hang out. Great atmosphere and much fun to be had here. Pizza really wasn't to my liking though.
Perfect spot to get two pizza slices and a Red Bull to preemptively fight your eventual hangover while chilling with cybergoths or whatever and grooving to techno music. The owner is the guy behind XScreensaver, so the place gets a free star from me just for the nerd points.
Awesome. Period. From their creative use of ingredients in formulating some of the most unique pizzas I have every tasted, on top of that, OPEN 24 HOURS, with commensurate delivery until 4am. That, in and of itself, makes this place four stars. The fifth star comes from the fact that they also hgave a full bar inside. Couple that with the direct access they offer into DNA Lounge, and you have what could possibly be the perfect pizza joint. Easily top three pizzas in The City, if it's late, and you don't feel great, hit up DNA pizza, and you can say you ate...
Who doesn't love pizza at 2 am. Sure it's a little pricey but it is great. The music played in the dining area is fun and again, pizza at any time of day. Drunk food win!!!
Came here on a Tuesday night/Wednesday Morning 1am. Atmosphere was kind of weird for me because it was different (it is San Francisco), but I loved it. I loved the art on the walls and the music being played. It was a new taste. Plus they had vegan Pizza! Had a few beers as well :)
Absolutely delicious. Would 10/10 go there everytime I'm in San Fran. Atmosphere to the food itself was just perfect. Definitely has a decent price tag but more then worth it. They have shows there a well that I don't know much about.
I’m from New York. Very authentic NY style crust.
Cheap slice. Open til it closes. Perfect late night snack after a long night of jamn. Super sweet. And garlic fries. Im just saying its affordable and convenient. Kind of a staple to grab a slice before you leave. Mmmm.
This place is the best. Great food. Cool spot to see shows
Great pizza place to eat at after a night out.

Great pizza place to eat at after a night out.
Morgan was super helpful and double checked all this stuff for my allergies! Awesome service, awesome pies.
I don't think anybody expects much from a pizza they got in a night club. I didn't either but it was actually great. Very nice slices on a dough made the right way. Can't say anything bad about it.
So first, the food above average pizza by the slice or full pizza. As well as a few sides made to order. They do have a full bar I believe. Next, the restaurant is a shared theater space. They host lots of concerts with many different types of music. The inside is coved in many different posters from past events, which really adds to the feel of the place. When events are happening, they might close part of the indoor seating. Which can be a drawback, but from past experience, if you ask and are polite, they will sometimes let you sit in the closed off area to eat. ( Please keep in mind this is not a given! Please respect when they say no.) They do offer outdoor seating to eat as well. The staff were kind and polite.

Good pizza, some vegetarian and vegan ones. Nice decoration and music videos. Unfortunately, everything is served in disposable plates and cups only.
Place was decent. Staff were chill, atmosphere is like a dive bar. Pizza was better than expected
Great Pizza, but some occasions I have found inconsistency with the taste and texture. Overall great pizza.
Good pizza, a bit pricey in my opinion, but still good and the only thing open 24/7 around there
This is the best food you’re gonna find in SOMA after midnight. My only criticism is heat the pizza up to the right temperature (HOT)! The difference in taste is SIGNIFICANT. Sincerely, A New Yorker
I’ve always enjoyed being able to grab a slice of pizza and a side of wings while out on the town. This place does both at a perfect toy decent price without ever having to leave the club.
Delicious but absurdly expensive. $6 for a slice of pepperoni? Ha. That aside, DNA lounge also has a good bar, great events and a neat atmosphere.
4 stars for some really quality pizza at a place that can have some really questionably quality people. I have to say I've had the DNA pizza both in a time of inebriation and a time of sobriety. In each instances, the pizza is fantastic.
The beer was in plastic cups while we waited for the pizza.. but otherwise the pizza was good. Sad to see them trim off the bread rim though. A bit wasteful
Not the cheapest, but I'd rather pay a few extra and sit amongst friendly fine-looking Gothic individuals on a Monday night (Death gUiLD-I love you lot!) Good good. Open crazy late (Google list this as 24/7 - which actually is the exact and only appropriate time pizza should be served. TaWENTY FO' cEvin :| BUT this place IS NOT.) DNA is a good joint for post show/dance revelers that need convenient bites to sober up. *cEvin Crompton is the evil one ya'll ⚰️🖤🔥🖤⚰️ *intention be made very "clair" x YHWH
Great atmosphere pizza isn't he best but it's pizza
Yummy pesto pizza. Open 24 hours, friendly staff in the middle of the night. One of the last 24 hour restaurants in San Francisco.
It doesn't need a review. If you're in the area partying after midnight and need a bite, this pizza will blow your mind. Don't go out of the way for it, but dont hesitate if you are nearby and hungry!
Such a fun time at the Monday night burlesque show! Visiting San Francisco from Minneapolis and the performances were full of talent and fun! Explore the history and nostalgia that the DNA Lounge promotes. Get of the couch and do something different... you won't be disappointed!
Only giving 4 out of 5 based on the choice of toppings. Although the ones they have are great, there is only one meat option, pepperoni. Other than that, its BYOB, our server was amazing, she actually took our beers and put it in a fridge for us and when we ran low, grabbed them and filled our glasses. How great is that! The sauce is outstanding, the crust thin a crisp with a nice char taste. Cal zone was also pretty legit. All in all now in my top 5 with L & B's, Luzon, Di Fara's. Up next Roberta's & Paulie Gees!
Decent slices of pizza with a wide variety of topping combos plus some of the best tater tots in the city. I suppose the grungy atmosphere is part of its charm, lent to it by its adjoining music hall. Don't wear a white glove here and you will be fine.
Pizza was good. Service was good. My only feedback would be to clean the pizza oven a little more often. My slice had a bunch of black carbon on the bottom. Just give it a scraping and brush it out a few times a day. I will still be back.
The pizza here is SO GOOD and so are the mozzerella sticks. Make sure you buy a full pizza before the club hours or you're paying by the slice. Food was received pretty quickly for how busy it was. Lady at register was very nice.
Great pizza by the slice, DNA pizza is always a welcome stop when in San Francisco. The slices are cheap and quite large for the size. The venue is large enough with plenty of seating, open till late. I can always recommend going to DNA pizza after your final drink of the night.
I had varying experiences here. From my meatballs frozen on my sandwich to free food because there register was down. Very inclusive staff and welcoming vibe. Lots of seating music options and lots of art. Pinball as well as outside seating.
We were at the DNA lounge for the Broadway Bares performance. It turned out very well done. The show and large cast were impressive and professional.

Our meaty pizza was rather expensive, adding up to $6 per medium eighth-slice. The taste was quite good with cupled pepperoni and just the right amount of the other meats, solid cheese, and nice crust that straddles the line between normal and thin. It's difficult to get your pizza because the staff have to shout each name instead of using a PA or text notification system.

The pizza is pretty good & they have vegan options as well. The environment was a little to rock and roll for me but the service was good
The pizza is expensive but worth it because the environment is great. Their events can be spectacular when you know which one to go to.
Their pizza is super greasy and has a soggy crust, but after a long night of drinking, sometimes you just need a warm slice of whatever you can find.
I have been curious about this pizza place for awhile and finally I made it in on Thursday, however I have a very sensitive stomach that reacts to cheap ingredients and I had a stomach issue after I ate their pizza, I think they need to improve the quality of their ingredients, DNA pizza wasn't very DNA friendly for my system. I think it probably is the ready sauce they use, ir the cheese, the veggies was fresh.
Pizza is really slow and they didn't start taking food orders till 8pm. My food was good but I was also starving.. decent staff just wish they were more organized
There aren't many positive things I can say about DNA Pizza. The pizza is just average, the place feels definitely unclean (sticky tabletops), and the staff is not all that helpful. The vibe is funky, that would be my one positive remark.
Gluten free option, which is great. Good tasting pie, peppery tomato sauce and generous toppings. Cost $22 after delivery. Had to dock stars because took an hour to get pizza at midnight on Sunday.
The pizza's pretty standard, and the price is okay ($6 for a fancy option). I had a weird experience with service (the guy behind the counter acted like it was really inconvenient to pour me 2 cups of water, and he was also standing there sipping on what looked like a glass of whiskey), but it's forgivable because, hey, it's the DNA Lounge. The key thing about this place is that it's open late, and it's really convenient when you show up for an event, and you're like 'oh right I need to eat.'
They were charging $7!for a slice which was no cheese and vegan. Instead i lifted to a pizza spot across Mayes for two slices instead of one. A shame tbh - shame. I left the club after finding the price for a dam slice. Shame
If you are seeing or playing a show at DNA Lounge, it is very convenient to go here. But it is pretty pricy for just decent pizza. They do serve Speakeasy beers, though, whereas the inside venue doesn't - and you can bring the beers into the venue so that's a plus.
A bit overpriced but that's due to the fact they are opened 24/7. Nice staff too, very friendly... The pizza itself is pretty good though, they also have sandwiches, salads, fries, Buffalo Wings the kinda things you would find on a Sports Bar Menu.
I like this place and all, but the drinks are astronomically expensive and I've had to wait 30+ minutes for my sandwich at the restaurant/cafe downstairs from the venue/bar almost every time I've gotten one, though pizza is ok. They do have rad events and performances, which are priced reasonably. If recommend going for a show and a slice, but definitely pre-game (if you plan to drink) and don't order a sandwich if you plan to eat quickly!
I felt like it was a bit pricy and the service wasn’t the best, but the pizza was good. I’m glad there were marked vegan options, as it makes me feel better. Unfortunately they messed up my pizza and put regular mozzarella on it, but they made a new one with no charge on it and gave us the extra pizza (my family isn’t vegan so they ate it). It worked out, but I don’t think it would be a place I’d eat in again — maybe delivery if I craved a pizza.
Took forever to get our food at 1pm when there was no one else in the place (except 4 staff). Had to go up to the bar to get my beer after waiting for 15min for them to bring it. After all that my meatball sub was cold. I appreciate the vegan options and the dedication to the vibe, but I won't likely be back.
Good food, fast service, cool atmosphere. We had the Meow Mix Slice of the Day, A Carnivore Slice, a Pepperoni Slice, and an order of Mozzarella Sticks. The food was good, but my only gripe was that they slices and the marinara sauce that came with the Mozzarella Sticks were cold. The slices were just by the open door to the patio, so I get it, but having the marinara in a hotel pan or the pies closer to heat lamps would have been nice. The service was fast and the worker who was calling orders was doing their best to be fast and loud to get everyone their food. The inside was cool, being attached to a club with nerd stuff helps.

They tried hard to make a nice place, but flies buzz around the entrance in a thick swarm. This may have more to do with the fact that San Francisco is dirty. The vegan pizza was bad. The meat pizza was good. The staff was very nice and patient. I like these guys!

4 slices of mediocre pizza, a bottle water, a fountain ginger ale. = 25$ Never again. Two stars because the pizza was edible.
Advertised vegan slices. Offered none. Employees had a whole conversation together before acknowledging us.
Even after 4 beers and the munchies before a show next door, this was the worst $7 slice of pizza I’ve ever had.
DNA lounge has gone way downhill. Or maybe I've just stopped being depressed and thinking their content appeals to me. There's some really cool and innovative stuff there, and if they didn't pander to a crowd that's insufferable, maybe it'd be fun.
Ordered a vegan pizza and sandwich in here. The pizza was gently sprinkled with tasteless vegan cheese, with a few slices of tomatoes and artichokes timidly scattered around on top. The sandwich was covered in oil so you couldn't eat it without getting your hands utterly greasy. All in all, a disappointment. Will not order again.
Poor service, ordered our pizza and was seated in store, waited 50 mins setting many other people getting their order who came in after us... Finally received our pizza close to an hour later.. pizza itself was also average, covered in grease and cold
A year ago I would have given 4 or 5⭐s, for the decent food and late hours. On this recent visit, I suppose the food was almost as decent, however the staff seemed to be totally irritated by the fact that taking orders and making food is part of the job. Hardly any customers when I arrived, yet the 3 guys bumbling around the food-prep / order area had no reason to be so frustrated, when nobody was rushing them to take an order. There were even no apologies on their part for it taking so long to acknowledge someone waiting patiently to place an order ( which, by the way, doesn't even require them to leave the counter... One must order at the counter, then wait for them to get around to making it, then come back to the front to pick it up. ) And they really don't like being asked to deliver your order to a table for you... regardless of if you're elderly or in a wheelchair. Oh yeah if you really need help you'll get an exasperated sigh or complaint about what an inconvenience it is, but yeah okay, whatever... Don't bother using the (women's) restroom if you didn't bring toilet paper, or if you use a wheelchair (it won't fit).
Pizza and drinks are top notch. But dirty and major health code violators. But I love the food. Problem is the staff have awful hygiene standards and some really rude staff. Namely the female rocker and a male cashier who was angry that I was taken back by how dirty they were. Dreadlocks was the only nice guy. But he was wearing rings and no gloves and handling everything in the kitchen. The long haired bearded guy had no net on his beard and he grabbed at his pony tail a few times. Also bare handed. The girl kept poking people's food with her thumbs and fingers. Most people are drunk and don't notice. I drive uber so I'm sober and I see and notice it all. I'm sad to say any of this but I love the pizza.
Stopped by hoping to get some food before going into the club, but was promptly and rudely notified the club was closed when we walked in. We asked if we could get some pizza and they all kind of ignored us and went back to what they were doing before. I started to check out the menu and the guy behind the counter goes “slices are over there” like I’m the dumbest person on the planet for walking past them. Also, I might’ve wanted more than just a slice but he made it feel like that wasn’t an option. I settled for two slices of the Carnivore and sat at the bar with my friends to eat. Pizza was pretty good. I tipped $3 in cash for a $15 check. I wanted to ask the employees there for a recommendation of where we could go to continue celebrating my 26th birthday, but they kept staring and making us feel generally unwelcome. It couldn’t have been that tough of a night to justify their attitudes. It was dead in there. I wouldn’t go back.
My friend and I went here around 2 am for a late night snack and because they supposedly have vegan pizza. I wishe she would have never taken me here. The cashier service was sub par. They did not have vegan pizza because they stop making it at a certain time and ran out of the slices left over. I wanted to ourser a whole personal pizza for myself, they stopped making personals at a certain time and you could only order the slices they still had. They leave their pizza slicers sitting in a tub of sanitizer with a film of pizza gunk at the top. My friend ordered green tea, they did not have green tea, and all the tea were in disorganized little boxes that were falling apart. The place was dirty. There was a couch in there so broken down that it was inverted. It only has two stars because i got my food and it was a decent portion.
Should have tried the pizzas. Ordered a breakfast burrito and the one on staff was hoping another staffer could make it for her. Was strange. Atmosphere it's good. Lots of nice posters and some good music is playing. I just wouldn't come back for the food, possibly the pizza.
Little Caesars has better pizza... The pizza was just okay— definitely overpriced. When we came in to order, no one could find the cashier to ring us up for several minutes (I mean, how hard is it to input orders and receive payment?)... Even though there was seating inside, we weren't allowed to sit (except at one table, but of course, it was occupied). Once we got our orders, the staff almost dropped our stuff. We found a few seats outside (that were not comfortable) that faced the street. It looked more like a bus stop with stools. Luckily, it was covered since it was raining (and cold out). The only thing I liked was the soda and the fact that the place was open late 🤷🏿♀️ The security and staff weren't that friendly, except for the woman (with colorful hair) that was trying to locate the cashier. I don't know why this place was recommended.

Good pizza, but they don’t adhere to their posted hours. If you’re open until 2, stay open until 2. Showed up at 1:40 on Saturday and they were decidedly closed. Disappointing to see yet another late night spot shutting down early when there’s a clear demand for food options after midnight.
The menu on the window clearly displayed the cost of a pizza ($36 for an XL) but when we paid, it was doubled. I asked the cashier why the difference and she replied “cuz it’s Folsom so we can charge a difference price”. Then why display a menu of the prices on the window and charge something completely different just because there’s an event going on? Definitely not a right way to charge customers in a business.
Mediocre pizza 2 pieces of pizza and a solo cup full of beer for 25 bucks and then they had the entire eating area blocked off except for two seats in the front for patrons to actually sit. Would not be back.

They first canceled my order, then made the wrong order. I had to wait a very long time to get my pizza. The pizza tastes good though
Long wait for 8 people ahead of me. I got a slice covered in the burnt char from inside the oven all over my pizza. Disorganized.
After exchange rate (I'm Canadian) I paid $15 for a slice of pizza. I expected the slice to give me genetic enhancements (it's called "DNA" after all), or perhaps give me infinite wisdom, but sadly, all it was, was a slice of crappy pizza.
This place is terrible, I ordered some pizzas and they cancelled withot any information and I called them a lot of times and they were saying all the time in 20 minutes it will arrive but it never arrived. Never prder from this terrible place
HORRIBLE THIS PLACE CLOSED WHEN IT SAID IT WAS OPEN. WHEN ME AND A FRIEND WERE HUNGRY. ASKED TO USE THE BATHROOM AFTER EXPLAINING THEIR ESTABLISHMENT WAS STILL LISTED AS OPEN AND THIS MANAGER SAID CLOSED AND SHRUGGED. GREAT BUSINESS!! KEEP IT UP (& YES, I'M YELLING, lol)
Went in with a friend late at night. They took my freinds order then left me standing at the register for 10 min while the employees caried on with their friends. When food came out they mixed up my food with the only other person there, and forgot my drink. Stood at the counter for another 5 minutes in between 2 employees talking to their freinds till I felt so awkward I just left without my drink. Had a pepperoni and a meat slice and the meat had almost no topings and still came out raw and inedible. Ended up with a long wait for a 14 dollar crapy slice of pepperoni. Terrible place
After staring at me for two minutes register clerk asked me 'what I need' then took my order and said it'd take 15 for a sandwich. 29 minutes later was visibly annoyed with me asking him when it'll be ready, then took an additional ten minutes putting mustard on the whole wheat sliced bread and then another five minutes to make a dirty wilted mixed greens salad without the ceaser dressing they confirmed twice while busy talking to other patrons about scoring illegal drugs.... possibly the worst food service experience I have Ever received and I ve been to restaurants in 50+ countries, save your money or go across the street DNA pizza and staff is a waste of your time and money, spend it with people who deserve it.
Waited 45 min for an order, and when one part order was wrong they took another 45 min. Table was covered in grime. Nightclub area was noisy and we were disturbed by those entering and exiting. Overall very negative experience.
Very disappointed of the service. We ordered food for our event and never delivered. We called multiple times then kept telling us 30 more minutes for 3 hours then they cancelled the order. I'll never order pizza from this place. I highly discourage people to order from this place
Don’t know if I just had a poor slice, but I got the thinnest, small, most mediocre slice of pizza for $6.45!!! Almost 7 dollars for that? Would highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere.
Horribly over priced and poor customer service. Ordered 2 slices of pizza which weren't warmed properly, and the $6 garlic fries which came in the smallest box with only 8 fries in it (that is not an exaggeration, literally 8 fries for $6). My partner went back up to the counter and asked if this was really all the fries you get for $6. One of the workers looked at the other and said "really?". The 2nd worker responded by saying they didn't know how many fries were supposed to be in the order. The first worker then grabbed a handful of fries and threw them in the fryer. This all happened without them saying a word to my partner who was still standing there, so he just came back to our table. A few minutes later they gave us a new box of fries, which did have a few more fries in it, but all the garlic was just sitting on the bottom of the box. We decided to just cut our losses and leave. Overall one of the worst experiences I have ever had.
Ordered pizza by slice which was ice cold. The person In charge was completely rude and had zero customer service. Do not go here unless you want cold pizza and bad service. In addition, the gentleman in charge was cleaning and spraying chemicals that were over-spraying onto the pizza while complaining about his job and the lack of staff.
What a terrible service!! The staff is so lazy that they don't want to prepare anything that cause extra work for them. I am writing this review after a few times were you need to struggle to get your order. The most ridiculous answers like we are not preparing fancy Hawaiian now, just regular. Even though they have all the ingredients, is just something they are not doing at the moment. I decided to give them one last chance but obviously didn't work, they didn't want to prepare whole pizzas. Just slices they had. I love pizza and trust me, the place is not worth it. You can always find better taste and especially better service anywhere but there. It's so frustrating. Don't go!!
First time coming to DNA and I the staff here was not friendly or helpful at all. I ordered the 3 Cheese Pizza and it was completely dried and burned. The guy upfront just gave me an attitude and said that it's what I asked for. The drinks were halfway filled. Just a really bad experience all around. Definitely not worth the money.
Awful place to get a quick slice. Below average pizza (greasy, sloppy crust) and getting them to heat up a slice takes 5x as long as it should. Not to mention they heated up the wrong slice. Fancy computer systems process orders, when the old school pizza model works much better. Blah.
Worst customer service ever. If you don’t like their pizza employees can punch you in the face (real experience). It’s expensive $5+ for a regular slice. It’s slow, and not really tasty.

I was just asked to leave the pizza restaurant because I don’t have a stamp for the nightclub event in their neighboring venue at 9PM. They’ve always had a rope and guard at the door between the two venues, but now at a certain point they section off the interior of the restaurant just for club goers. They asked us to leave while the restaurant staff never mentioned the sitting area being unavailable and we have just received our food. Why welcome people to dine in if you’re just going to kick them out? Your restaurant staff is awesome and super friendly. Your food is delicious too! But club management should reconsider this new policy/layout. Why not just stop admitting people into that area and let those who are there finish their food, instead of making us move outside where it’s cold and there’s no seating. Ideally there wouldn’t be this policy, but if you’re not going to change the policy at least plan out the execution of this transition better.
Piss poor pizza. Old slices served first. Slice was cold. Sooo much better pizza on 8th and Folsom. Good luck trying to get to use their bathroom if there is an “event”. No wonder people are pissing on neighbors doors…
Just got dinner here, and suspected the menu had changed a bit since I was last here. One of the painfully bored looking employees confirmed that the menu had been cut in half. I got home and discovered that the boredom was also reflected in the food. The cheese bread looked sickly and flat. Rather than little delicious bits of roasted garlic being evenly spread across the bread as it use to be, the raw garlic was in half Clove chunks with the cheese barely melted over it, rendering it inedible. They apparently weren’t too enthused about making the pizza either. It was more edible than the cheese bread, though it wasn’t good. But at least I didn’t throw it away. It’s always sad to revisit an old haunt to find it’s gone way downhill.
