Tried the crazy burrito here, with fries and flaming Cheetos in the filling. I probably should have gone with a more conventional choice, but it was worth trying at least once.
Best meal on this San Francisco trip! Loved the thematic interior and wall frescos. Order the Al Pastor super taco (with the lot), a Mexican coke and got complimentary tortilla chips and 3 small containers to hit the salsa bar! The salsa bar was fresh and beautifully presented and I tried the tomato, verde and habanero salsas. All delicious and the habanero was spicy but didn't blow my head off. My food was brought to my table which was a nice touch given this is a fast service restaurant. The portion size of the single super taco was enormous (forgive me, I'm Australian and portion sizes in USA still astonish me). The pork was tasty and tender and all the toppings went together perfectly. Staff were friendly. Sadly in Australia, we have garbage Mexican food... I wish Taqueria Zorro would consider opening a Sydney outpost so I can eat there all the time! Don't miss this place!
JESUS CHRIST. As a Mexican craving actual Mexican food in the bay area, I can certify this place is legit. I don't know if it was because I was slightly drunk, but everything I got tasted HEAVENLY. My non Mexican and not so drunk friends also enjoyed their food a lot, hahaha. I got the Tacos al pastor and tried the quesabirria. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, I 100% recommend this place if you're looking for the closest to the Mexican experience I've experienced in the bay area. Also, they were open after 11.
Came here in the early AM after a night out on the town. Conveniently located no frills Mexican joint with late night hours. Fantastic food, friendly/quick service, great prices and portions. A few little tables inside but most people order takeout. The tacos were great, and the Zorro burrito was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Before that more popular spot who won’t be named moved into north beach, real ones know this was the original taqueria. Been coming here for a few years and the thing I like the most is they keep their prices fair, and unlike other places they don’t go light on the protein. They got daily deals, I normally come for the lengua torta on Thursdays. I get mine with extra meat, but it’s still very fairly priced and comes with fries too. It’s a family run joint that’s been around for a minute. I also always see the same cook there which a good sign for consistency. Overall a solid spot. They got a good salsa section, and overall offers a classic SF taqueria experience that I would recommend, especially for the neighborhood choices.
Great vegetarian options. The veggie nachos were super filling and huge. Also had veggie burrito. Would be nice if it was more flavourful but still is a great place.
Late night hit this place wandering around the Columbus Street. What a way to end the day with my stomach filled to neck with the delicious Carnitas Burrito. Carnitas was so soft and chewy. The green salsa was the best among the other salsa. Wished the hot salsa to be a bit more hot.The Burritos had no cheese and avocado though.
If you’re looking for a taco that won’t disappoint, this should be your first- and last stop of every night. I’ve had both, the burrito, and every other time the steak taco. The food is hot, fresh, and prepared with passion, whether it be a slow night (like now as I write this review), or when the line is double wrapped around the block. I’m on a mission to find the best tacos in SF, and Taqueria Zorro is still on my top 5.
I regularly order from taqueria Zorro and I have had nothing short but a wonderful experience. The food is always hot and delicious, there are also options for those who are vegan/vegetarian! Service is always impeccable, and catering orders are always on time. Highly recommend this place!
For catering, Taqueria Zorro was 10/10. So fast and responsive via email. Tariq worked quickly and diligently to make sure that all our dietary preferences were accommodated. The food arrived perfectly on time and the staff was kind and helped me set up. Then the food itself was delicious. Each dish came in generous portions and tasted great. Feeding 30 people was made easy with Taqueria Zorro
Great place. Their burritos are the size of 2 meals while only $13-ish. I just sit here and do work with their free WiFi daily. Great vegetarian options
First time here, and the experience was awesome. I'm mexican and I tried the best birria tacos. Definitely a 10 out 10.
I ordered catering from Taqueria Zorro, and it was fantastic! Everything arrived right on time, the portions were generous, and the food tasted amazing. You can tell they put care into every dish. This is my go-to taqueria, and I highly recommend them for both regular meals and catering — they never disappoint!
These guys were really, really nice. I accidentally took someone else’s quesadilla and they made him a new one and were really nice about it. Food was highly respectable. Don’t give them a hard time.
Taquería El Farolito serves amazing, authentic Mexican food with bold flavors and generous portions. The tacos, burritos, and salsas are fresh, flavorful, and always satisfying. The service is quick, and the atmosphere is casual and lively. A must-visit spot for great Mexican food—highly recommended!
I have to give a shout-out to the chef; the seasoning is incredible now. You can taste complex layers in every bite—a huge upgrade from before. I love the decor—stylish but warm. The portions are large enough that even a man with a big appetite will leave full. The service team is efficient and very polite, making guests feel respected. The overall vibe is great, with perfect lighting and music. This was a perfect dining experience; I’ll be a regular from now on.
Perfection in burrito form. I live in SD, I came back up for a visit and ordered my old favorite the carne asada super burrito.. I remembered this place being good, but what I forgot is that each bite, every ingredient, the ratio, the seasoning, the freshness is 100x better than ANY burrito in SD. It was even better than I imagined that I started laughing the entire rest of the email. Thank you for your service to this great country. I am forever grateful.
One of the best Mexican spots in the city. They have the best burritos 🌯 🔥 my personal favorite is their Chile relleno burrito. My kiddo loves their asada and shrimp super burrito 🤤 if you're in the city and craving some some authentic Mexican food, make your here for some good food 😋
Burrito stuffed with goodness! The meat was hella good, and the balance between meat and everything else was legit. Not a very long line or wait, but for a burrito on Mission, I recommend this joint. There are only a few places like this that are worth the drive from San Jose, and it’s always a tasty treat. Orale!
One of the famous California-style burrito places in the Mission. Often a line, but worth it! Very cheap & great deal by Bay Area standards - you can get a large, tasty deluxe burrito for ~$12. Order at the counter, wait for your number to be called. Indoor and outdoor seating. CASH ONLY.
A classic for a reason. The super burrito with your meat of choice for $9.99 has to be one of the best meal deals in the entire state. It’s a hit with locals, tourists, and everyone in between. This place has to be making money hand over fist and it’s still a total dive. I just know the owners are loaded and still operating a cash only business. This is becoming a mandatory visit whenever I’m in San Francisco. Also, having sesos on the menu is a power move. Enormous authenticity points.
Really fantastic burrito. My first mission burrito and it was a great experience. Well-stuffed, well-wrapped for eating on the go, and all the fillings were flavorful on their own. The salsas were fresh and delicious and both on the mild side, but the red has a bit more heat. Enough for 1.5-2 meals unless you are super hungry. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely get another!
The Al pastor is incredible! Love the burrito. Wish the tortillas and tortilla chips were better, but it's so good it still gets 5 stars.

Tasty hole-in-the-wall mexican restaurant. Lots of food options, tastes delicious. Some of the plate menu items can be on the larger side, so know how much you are ordering

Huge portions at a great price. Fast service and could not ask for more. The carne asada was packed with flavor

Burrito is big and banging with flavor! El Farolito is a Mission favorite known for their delicious burritos at an affordable price. The atmosphere is bustling, service is good, and the line moves …
Best service! Best burritos ever! I have very peek memories at this place and the food if phenomenal with the best staff! Just went after a music festival tonight and it's just amazing as last time…
Decent tacos. Ordered al pastor, cabeza, and carnitas on Taco Tuesday, so $2.99 per taco, loaded with meat. The al pastor was a tad bit overcooked, but the flavor was good. I’ll definitely try them again on Taco Tuesdays.
If you're in North beach and craving some Mexican food, this is a good option. I usually get a regular asada burrito, but if you're feeling sit down their asada plate is pretty satisfying. Their habanero salsa can be hot or miss, some days it's got good spice, other days it's mostly tomato flavor.
I took the fish Taco. The fish was well cooked. Ingredients were mostly fresh. Waitress is not particularly talkative but doing all right. The inside was kinda loud and resonating, but still ok. There are sauces available and free to grab yourself. Almost everything is plastic so not the most beautiful decoration but we're here to eat :) Paid 8,17 after tax.
Old school taqueria next to BART station at 25th street and Mission. Walk inside along the plexiglass covered kitchen to view the menu posted on the wall. Full menu of classic taqueria fare: burritos, tacos, plates and more. Cashier takes your order efficiently in a friendly tone. Choice of tortillas, beans and salsas. The kitchen cranks out the orders assembly line quick. Tired interior, but outside dining in the back. Maybe not a place to impress a first date. The food is the attraction: affordable and excellent quality.
Really great authentic burrito experience! Grab a burrito to go and walk around the streets of Mission or head over to Delores Park to relax. Remember this is cash only! So make sure you have some notes, my carne asada burrito cost $9.95 plus tax. This area is quite lively and some people may feel unsafe around here, but if you go with a small group & stay out of the way of locals you will be fine.
CASH ONLY! While in SF we had to get a mission burrito from the mission district! They are cash only. We each got the carnitas supreme burrito with rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole. Limited seating inside but we were able to secure a seat. We waited about 5 min for our meals to be cooked. The burritos were massive and lasted me about 3 meals. I think it even tasted better left over! Great place to come.
Came here and the line was out the door and still got my order in around 10 minutes. It’s a cash only establishment and they have an ATM inside, indoor dining is small but they have a small patio in the back where I was able to sit. My friend got the torta and said it hit home; the bread was crispy and the cheese was delicious. I got the super burrito w carnitas which was HUGE and so good! All that plus chips was $21 with tax.

What a pleasant experience! The dishes were flavorful, the staff was accommodating, and the vibe was calm and comfortable. Can't wait to try more items from the menu next time.

Ordered supertacos and didn’t look nun like the pic. Showed them and ask for more they say pay extra for the amount I’m supposed to have.
Ordered a MYO "VEGGIE" burrito. However there were ZERO veggies at all...instead, got a cold flour tortilla filled with pico de gallo and lettuce. Literally. That's it. Also specifically ordered guacamole, jalapeños, whole beans, limes, and Serrano peppers on the side. Got NONE of them with the order. Just two small containers of salsa. The entire order with the up charges, was over $18. Complete insanity. Needless to say, it was not eaten. The entire order was literally disregarded, as it all clearly noted on the order receipt. I do NOT recommend even attempting to order from here. Horrible experience and quality.
Terrible experience the lady at the register purposely over charged me for my burrito. She said because I was using Apple Pay they haven’t updated the prices. Than I watched other customers being charged regular price with Apple Pay. Maybe she was being unfair and racist towards me. Really bad experience
