I love this deli. I usually get the Mission on wheat. Never been disappointed!

My favorite restaurant in SFO since 2016. The sandwiches are always fresh and tasty — the Potrero Hill is my go-to. The prices are reasonable for airports. I’ve been here probably 10 times so far and plan on coming back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent deli sandwiches and super quick service if trying to grab a bite and catch a flight!

Such a good sandwich! The price was ~$14 with tax. And I felt like it was worth the price more than the other food! It was a build your own sandwich too. The workers were working hard to get the line going. Wait wasn’t very long.

Embarcadero sandwich (add bacon) was on point! Fresh and hot. Service was fast and friendly. Walking by, I couldn't resist how good it smelled, and it was worth it

Legitimate sandwich for an airport takeout food. A little pricey but surely worth it.

Great taste of egg salad croissant sandwich and late with oat milk was perfection. Highly recommend before your flight ✈️

Staff is great and food is pretty good and fresh. Sandwich made to order. Like all restaurants in the airport, all orders are charged an 2% extra on all orders to compensate for employee benefits. This is written in small fonts on the display and charged automatically at the register. This should be absorbed by the owner and included in the price.

My favorite restaurant to grab a meal in the United domestic terminal. The food is high quality and the service is fast and friendly.

My go-to sandwich spot in this airport for years - and the only airport sandwich spot I always look forward to going to. They’re quick, you get to choose your ingredients, and if you ask for avocado, because it’s California, they give you lots of nice fresh avocado. I think I’ll go there now!

Fresh food and friendly staff. They are specialized on freshly made sandwiches. It takes a few minutes to get it. But it is worth the time. Friendly and efficient staff. They have a few guest tables. I like the name 😃

I had the marina sandwich 🥪 which was a refreshing and delicious. It was a bit crowded to be expected but the service was quick and easy. Overall ambiance is busy due to the time of day but good overall.

I got coffee from here before a flight. It was quick, made well, tasted great, and the staff were very nice. 0 complaints, would get coffee here again

I got the Soma(grilled cheese). Looks great and have a lot of chess. Not expensive considering it's in the airport. Take off one star because there's no butter on the sandwich which is important for a grilled cheese.

This is a breakfast/lunch deli counter, with no dedicated seating. They sell mostly sandwiches and pastries; ingredients are fresh and tasty. Service was surprisingly quick despite high demand. Expect high prices consistent with a California airport.

Very tasty North Beach sandwich with the Three Bean salad. Not a huge sandwich, but pretty decent size for the quality. There was not much of a line for me, but either way, the staff seemed to be operating very efficiently.

If you need a quick and tasty breakfast or sandwich before your flight, this is a good option. There was a line but it moved very quickly. I was very impressed how quickly they had my sandwich out. It was good too!

Pretty ok sandwiches for your enjoyment! It’s a 3-star deli by New Jersey standards, but that’s pretty good for an airport so I bumped it up a star. I tried the Fillmore (Rueben) and Marina (Veggie). I’d order the Marina again for sure! Hummus, with fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce, cucumber. A middle-eastern mouth party 🎉 big thumbs up for having an accessible veggie option 🥬 🍅 Maybe add some black olives in there? That would kick it up a notch for suuuuure.

Klein’s is ok. The sandwiches are not the best but they do the job. The staff is friendly and pretty efficient. I’ve been both for lunch and breakfast. I keep forgetting the breakfast sandwiches are on the bland side. Next time I’ll ask for some butter or Mayo on the bread, or an extra piece of cheese. The cold brew coffee from Equator is pretty solid.

Go to place in terminal 3 for fast service and good food. Veggie Breakfast Sandwich is great! And you also can’t go wrong with Soma. A few grab and go option. Nice service, this place doesn’t disappoint. There is always a long line! :)

Amazing oatmeal cookie! The sandwiches are great too, especially the hearty breakfast sandwich. Prices are a little higher since it's in an airport.

As a quick-service deli, it does a good job at being efficient for travelers, but the quality of the food and service seems to have declined lately. My "hearty breakfast sandwich" was more like "anemic eggs and bacon on white toast". Compared to other SFO outlets, this place is a slight bargain, but still, having to part with over $20 for a basic breakfast was disappointing. Anywhere else but an airport, and this would be a 2-3 star review, yet if you need aomething quick in Terminal 3, it's a reasonably good choice.

Great service and great sandwich! I ended up getting the Fillmore which is basically just a reuben and I also got chips.. It ended up being $16 which I guess is the price you pay for airport food, but the sandwich was pretty good. The chips (salt and vinegar) didn't have a lot taste, but that's not Klein's fault. Overall, not a bad experience!

We got the Castro and the Haight. I enjoyed the Castro! The special sauce made it for me. Not a ton of food for the price, but I'm also not California girl. Cheese Danish was also tasty. Saw a lot of people getting coffee as well. (Photos are not my best, was hungry after a long flight haha)

Fast service & friendly staff. Very glad to find they had gluten-free bread even though it wasn't advertised. After a 4+ hr flight with few food options (gummy bears are not real food) this made me very happy. I thought it was a bit pricey but found out I was double charged on the soda after leaving to baggage claim. Whoops.. I'd still eat here again.

Probably as good as you're going to get from an airport, to be honest. Not cheap, but it is an airport. Would eat again if I had to.

Having lived in San Francisco for most of my life and several years in New York, I was excited to see Klein’s Deli (of Potrero) on SFO T3. The Castro Sando I got was: roast beef and turkey meats, Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, tomato and pickle with Klein sauce. It was simple and okay! Reminds me of school sandwiches! 🥪 Comforting in a way!

I had a premade Greek salad was not impressed by the service or the value of the food very little onions, olives, grape tomatoes and feta cheese and excessively to much greens they need a better balance. For the price I don’t see the value in the quality of the food. I won’t be back. They forgot to give me napkins while remembering to give me a puny wooden fork. The problem with places inside a secured terminal like this one is that captive customers are taken for granted they probably think we probably won’t see sane customer again.

The most basic, boring sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Like one that came out of a vending machine. Flavor isn’t there. Too much bread (or not enough stuffing). It doesn’t taste horrendous, I was able to finish it. It is at best a somewhat mediocre sandwich. Not a bad price for Airport food, I see why now, but… it just tastes SO plain even though it looked kind of good. I got the Calvin (I think). It’s roast beef, turkey, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and “klein sauce”. Sounded so good. Bottom line: You would legitimately be better off at a small kiosk buying a pre made sandwich for half the price. Go here if you need food and there’s no line and you are late for your flight. Lovely customer service though, everyone was very nice. Sort of sorry to give the bad review.

Klein's Deli at SFO serves tasty sandwiches, but the prices are steep for what you get. While the quality is good, the portions don't justify the high cost. It's convenient for a quick bite, but there are more affordable options in the airport.

Staff was friendly, but why are we putting cream cheese on a piping hot bagel? Literally melted the cream cheese and turned into an inedible, stomach turning, mess. Oh yea, and it was $8

All the coffee places in this terminal are less than ideal, including Klein's Deli. I was told to wait in a 10 minute sandwich line, just for coffee.

C
Chris Crawford

The terrible rating is purely because the company decides move the cost of employee benefits onto the consumer. They add a 5% surcharge on meals to cover employee benefits. Glad the employees get benefits, but screw the company for putting that charge on us. It’s the companies job to pay for this, not the customers. Staff were lovely. Only reason I still ate here was time constraints. Screw this company

I had a very disappointing experience at Klein’s Deli in Terminal 3 at SFO. The staff, including the cashier named Amy, were incredibly rude and unprofessional. From the moment I walked up, I was met with attitude and zero courtesy. Amy seemed annoyed to even be doing her job, and when I asked for clarification about pricing, she was dismissive and disrespectful.

A
Abe Writer

Rude and gross. They reuse food. Just left the counter where I ordered a “Castro” but asked for no roast beef. I as told have to build my own. Which costs $4 additional. But she started making my sandwich adding in turkey. I said ok, you can just make it with the roast beef as well. So she took all the turkey off! (The sandwich comes with both). I asked what she was doing and she said no substitutions allowed, in a super rude way. I tried to explain I wasn’t substituting anything, but would just pick off the roast beef. So she made it 80% roast beef and left a tiny slice of turkey. I asked what she was doing and she was going to just throw away the turkey to spit me? And she said no - she’s reuse it for next person. It was already covered in chipotle sauce. Totally argumentative and chasing business away.

A
Aryanna tate

Staff didn’t know how to make a turkey club. At a sandwich shop.. I explained how it’s made (it’s a subway style setup so this wasn’t rude to pick ingredients) finished up my order for my $13.95 sandwich and they said it was now $25 bc I added bacon & cheese. Yea no.

T
Tori G

Service is terrible. Everyone is rushed through the line by a less than enthusiastic employee. I ordered an almond croissant and was not asked if I wanted it warmed. I was then handed a cold pastry. The lady at the register was barking orders at customers to stand in line and asking them if they've been in line the whole time and rudely addressing customers who accidentally go to the grab n go line (just like the sign in fromt of her register says to do). Customers deserve better service with the amount they're paying for food here, especially since there's a 5% "employee fund charge." You should use that money to hire and better train your employees or hire a manager who's willing to do so.

T
Tim Healy

I wanted to Castro (14.95) without the turkey. She said i would have to do a custom sandwich. If I did that it would be 13.95 + 2.00 for cheese. So it's more expensive to leave off an ingredient? The portions of meat are measly anyways. On top of that they only use one knife (it's locked to their cutting board) so she used the same knife to cut my meat to cut my wife's veggie sandwich. Health department should check that one out... Definitely avoid if you have allergies.

S
Shae B

Coffee was full of grinds. They have an express lane for coffee but close it and make you wait for everyone to order and pay in the sandwich line.not friendly.

J
Ja Zh

When I think about liberal policies, I think of this $17.17 elementary school sandwich that I refused to tip 35% on. I’m not sure why customers have to pay a $3 retirement fund / 401k / vacation fund tax on top of SFO tax without us being informed, but it speaks wonders about American greedflation and how nothing is affordable to middle class Americans anymore. So stay hungry. If you want a water that’ll be $7.

Got a sandwich and it cost $14.72. That was with a discount. Which I appreciate. However my sandwich was not worth the $17.00 it should’ve been. Not to mention the attitude of the lady making my sandwich. Not to me but the employee at the register. Please fix. I should get a sandwich worth the price. And yes I understand airport prices but come on. It was a BLTA. I used to eat here every week since these opened at e gates and f gates, and I have spoke up. NEVER eating here again. My $3,000.00 will be spent elsewhere.

My flight was cancelled and was rerouted and had a 3.5hour layover in San Francisco. I went in to Kleins to inquire if I could use my food vouchers and the lady told me I probably cant and told me to grab some food items to try and once it worked she forced me to take all the fruits that we tried from the transaction. I simply wanted to know if they would accept it. Also once I had to purchase all the fruits she also didnt give me what I had paid for and I had to go back and question why the items did not add up to what I paid. I wish she was upfront if the food vouchers from the airline worked or not then i wouldn't have wasted a food voucher of $30usd on all fruits.

The Asian lady working around 5:55pm on 9/19 was so rude and did not even acknowledge me. Maybe she was deaf but horrible worker if you don’t like your job don’t work. I still left a tip with this review for the polite lady at the cash register

Sign says they close at 11pm. Online said they close at 11pm. My son (5 years old) and I go in and get in line. This is 10:20pm. Our next flight is delayed and he is barely holding it together. The mean, rude, and inconsiderate employee rudely yells at the person in front of us and us that(by pointing) “they’ve taken the last order!!!!”. Then that employee very rudely points at some innocent bystander in line. My son was shocked and unhappy with this treatment. Regardless of how I felt, it is super unprofessional to treat people like this, especially 40 minutes before closing time in a busy airport. And especially children. No need to attempt to visit this dump again

I consumed the Mission Turkey sandwich purchased at the airport last Sunday. Within hours, I developed symptoms consistent with acute food poisoning, including gastrointestinal distress. These symptoms have persisted continuously for seven days without resolution. There were no other dietary changes or exposures during this time period that could reasonably account for the illness. Based on timing and symptom onset, the sandwich—specifically the turkey—appears to be the likely source of bacterial contamination. This raises serious concerns regarding food storage, handling, and safety protocols. Food served in an airport setting should meet strict safety standards, as travelers have limited alternatives once symptoms begin. I would advise caution to other consumers and recommend that this product and its handling procedures be reviewed immediately.

A total scam. The display said 13.95 for a build your own sandwhich. Yet I paid 18$ for a build your own sandwhich that only had turkey, pepper jack cheese, mayo and lettuce. Please explain how it jumped nearly 4$?
