Easter brunch and mocktails were insanely good, in a lovely, light-filled space with friendly, fast service. We also left an object and got good practice adulting and navigating public transportation to get it back. The staff told us, during our return visit, that they had been slammed all day between Easter and then dinner for the Bruce Springsteen concert crowd. And yet, Patrick and their entire team could not have been any kinder to us. This place is a true 💎.
We were pleasantly surprised with this establishment from the outside. It doesn't look like much, but when we walked in the atmosphere was live, the service was great. The food was incredible, and yes, we will return when we are in the city of San Francisco. You guys rocked out on atmosphere and food. Everybody loved their plates. Thanks again.
I was surprised at how good the food was here. We tried one of just about everything. The brussel sprout chips were probably the worst and that's just because eating the tiny chips seemed impossible. Everything was delicious. Service accomodated several changes and additions to our party. Overall an excellent experience. Oysters, scallops, lamb all fantastic. I don't even like lamb, but fall off the bone delicious.
Came here with a techie friend, after spending Mother’s Day here. The place is with quality, staff is knowledgeable with services. I sensed a bit of arrogance in my both visits, maybe because it’s all male wait staff except the hostess. The arrogance somehow adds to the authenticity to the ambiences. Good was unquestionably great! 😊
I had lunch here as soon as they opened, service was mad fast. Food came out fast and the presentation? Was nothing short of great, I got the fried chicken sandwich with no bacon on it with fries and a salad, it is slightly pricey, but I'll tell you now they work for it. My glasses stayed full, the servers and staff is very tentative, I would recommend other try this place out because the good and service is definitely 5 star status!
Had a last minute late (for SF) dinner here on a Saturday night and had the BEST time. The manager and our server treated us like kings and even though we were closing the place down they never made us feel rushed or like we were holding them up. The deviled eggs were insane, tomato and burrata was summer on a plate, the brick chicken was a beautiful and bright flavor explosion and of course…the burger was spot on (love the horseradish aioli for the fries)! Perfect martini too btw ….Not a bad word to say about this place, it gave me the kind of pre pandemic SF dining experience I’ve been craving…can’t wait to come back!
We came in for brunch and everything was so tasty. We tried the heirloom tomato, egg sandwich, infamous burger, scrambled eggs, and polenta — not a single miss on the table. My boyfriend and I often come here for date nights, and it’s just as good during the day. The food is consistently delicious, and the vibe is cozy and lively. Pro tip: make a reservation! It gets super busy, especially on weekends. Can’t wait to come back again!
Really incredible. Everything was amazing but I recommend the steak tartar with bone marrow, the pork cheeks, and the polenta. This night was special. My wife is disabled due to a terminal illness. She has a movement disorder, difficulty communicating, and difficulty doing things on her own. The staff was so accommodating. We do not get to go out to eat too often these days. They treated us like everyone else. They never made issue about getting napkin after napkin. Or picking up silverware dropped. "Normal" is important when it is difficult to have those moments. The staff at Marlowe gave us a moment. Thank you.
It had been a long time since we last visited Marlow’s for a meal, but every experience I’ve had there has been fantastic. The food is always excellent—fresh, unique, and innovative—and this visit was no exception. We stopped in for brunch and started with their berries served with a banana crème brûlée and yogurt. It looked so good that we dug in before I even thought to take a photo! We also ordered the thick-cut maple-flavored bacon, which was outstanding, and the chorizo eggs, which came with toast. To drink, we tried their take on a virgin Bloody Mary, along with a latte and coffee—everything was absolutely delicious. Beyond the food, I love the restaurant’s theme. The western-inspired black-and-white aesthetic gives it a modern yet cozy vibe. It’s a charming little spot tucked just around the corner. Parking is available on the street, with metered spots or free parking on Sundays—just be mindful of parking restrictions. One little detail that gave me a laugh? The toilet paper in the restroom was wrapped in cow-print paper, which was a fun touch. Overall, Marlow’s is a fantastic place, and if you have the chance to stop by, it’s definitely worth a visit!
This was a great place to go to for brunch prior to a Giants game. They also have great parking so if you’re able to walk 10 minutes to the ballpark then that’s great too. I liked the buttermilk pancakes but was not a fan of the syrup. It was better with the French toast soldier sauces. The summer scramble was pleasant. The cocktails were beautiful.

I came in for dinner on a weekday with reservations, but it was likely not required. We started with the crispy Brussel sprouts and deviled eggs, which were both very good. The crispy Brussel sprouts were both light and satisfying. And the deviled eggs were a perfect bite with a nice finish of bacon on top. The cod was definitely the star of the night. I just wish there was a little more. The burger was also very good, but not particularly unique. All and all, I will definitely be coming back. Very nice place and service was fantastic.

Had Valentine's dinner here, chose from a starter, main and dessert for $100 each. Starters were good. They got my main incorrect, and brought out the wrong dish. This resulted in waiting longer for the correct dish to come out - they did replace the dish for my wife at the same time so we could eat together, which was nice. The server came back to double check the dessert order, which I understand why, but he didn't seem too thrilled about having to ask. The dessert I ordered, the brown butter apple crepe was inedible. The apples were hard, and incredibly salty - the other parts of the dish were so sweet that it was such a contrast in a way that was unpleasant. At no point in our service were we asked if we wanted any other drinks, so we never got to try what was available. Overall, the food was mostly good and the service less so.
Stopped by Marlowe for lunch. Interior, while fairly small, was very nice, comforable and clean. We were a bit ahead of the lunch crowd so only a few other tables filled when we arrived. Service at first was quick but disappeared as lunch went on. Lunch menu is pretty limited, so we both ordered the Marlowe burger and added fries. My partner asked for the horseradish aioli on the side since she can't stand horseradish. When our order arrived, the waiter pointed out that hers was on the side I dove into my burger only to find he had gotten the order backwards, much to our chagrin. We switched orders rather than calling him back. We had asked for our burgers to be cooked medium. Now I know "medium" can mean different things to different chefs, but these were cooked a lot closer to medium rare. Overall, though, a pretty good burger, especially with the bacon. Fries were nicely cooked and tasty. Service disappeared after dropping off the food. No checking on how we were doing, no drink refills. Prices were about what you would expect for the City. In conclusion, a decent experience.
The burger was good. The bread was interesting, it has a slightly crispy shell and a dry bite to it. This bread would’ve benefitted a lot from a juicy patty, but unfortunately, the patty wasn’t. If I had to guess, the patty was around 150g, making it difficult to go for a double. The deal breaker for many would be the horseradish sauce. I didn’t mind it, but did not find it to be the right choice here. Horseradish is a classic choice for steak sandwiches, but it wasn’t shining here. They also give you some on the side, which is great if you like to be high on horseradish (that feeling when your nose burns). I tried to dip in the fries once in a while, but the sauce in the burger was more than enough for me. The fries were good. Overall, I think the burger was ok or average, but I also have to say that the service was great, so some people might enjoy dining here more since they have many options other than the burger.
Greeted by a manager at the door. Requested a table for one. After a long awkward pause he led me to the row of tables adjacent to the bar where no one else was sitting. This was done intentionally, convinced the manager didn't like my Sleep heavy metal t shirt. Ordered the Marlowe Burger medium rare, fries and a ice tea. The burger was delicious with sautéed onions, bacon, shredded lettuce and horseradish cream. The fries were outstanding, crispy, flavorful, not overcooked at all. The ice tea was not good, sent it back. The server/manager disappeared on me. Ran out of water, went to the bar to get more water. Had to wait awhile to get the check. Overall the food is very good, but the service is really lacking. That stunt of seating me away from other patrons was disrespectful. Based on the service alone I will not be going back
