Love the veggie, not sure if thy steamed or BBQ but it’s super sweet! The island fish with sauce was nice. The Kalua pork was a bit dry though
I have been here many times for dine in or takeout. What makes Ono stand out from other Hawaiian bbq spots is that their bed of vegetables is actually cooked and edible. Also their portions are for sure to make you full even if you order the mini size. The well trained and friendly staffs make my visit appealing each time. I highly recommend this place to any Hawaiian food cravers, anyone that loves food or if you are just in the area. Definitely will be back!
My wife and I recently got into trying different Hawaiian BBQ spots in the city. This one has been the top of them so far. The pricing was really good for SF. We paid 33 for 2 drinks a side and 2 plates full of delicious food. The place is small and I can see how it can get crowded but it was comfortable around 730pm on a Sunday.

Love all the options they offer. You can get some really good combos and try different things for a good price $$. The macaroni salad is so tasty. Service is really nice and the place is clean. No bathroom located inside the building you have to go outside around the building. Good parking they also are available to order on grub hub.
The chicken combo was great. Big portion, and great macaroni salad 😉
Awesome food here and good portion too. Food tasted great. Stop by Peet’s Coffee to grab coffee, use the restroom, and wash your hands before coming to eat in here. Unless you plan grab your food to-go then no need to wash those hands. Having a restroom or at least a sink for washing hands would be great and earn five stars.
Cheap Hawaiian food chain. There's seating, bottled drinks, and cups for a drink fountain. The restaurant is clean-ish and there's some seating outside if you don't want to be inside. I ordered the chicken katsu plate lunch, which was $14.11 after tax. The chicken was tender, but quite greasy. There were also some massive pieces and some really tiny pieces, so not very consistent. The rice was cooked well and the blanched vegetables were nice. The macaroni salad was very filling and probably extremely unhealthy, but tasty. Overall, this is a decent place to stop by for a lunch. Everything is average-priced for San Francisco. The service and food leave a bit to be desired, which is why I'm giving four stars.
Had the chicken combo and the spicy chicken. The spicy chicken was by far the best. The teriyaki and other sauce were very good. My favorite was the macaroni salad! Yesica was excellent at helping us clueless Minnesotans figure out what we wanted. Overall decent "fast" food that isnt a burger or sandwich.
Huge portions, delicious mac salad, flavorful BBQ, crispy chicken katsu, freshly made food. Service was quick and friendly. The katsu sauce is watered down but still has a good flavor. White fish is crispy on the outside and soft and succulent on the inside. Crab rangoon and a drink with any combo for an extra $3.79.
Atmosphere will remind you of hawaii if you have been there, the crunchy fried chicken’s better than before the pandemic. The meal I got was the #3 Chicken combo alongside a hawaiian sun (lilikoi passion).

Always tasty. Portions are smaller now and more expensive. Like most places. Quality still the same.

Were in this establishment on July 29/24. The place is clean, portions are big, food is tasty, staff is polite. But I was disappointed that carbonated drinks are diluted with tap water, because I could feel chlorine.

The food was pretty good. The mac &cheese had a bit much cream which made it pretty rich. The price was a bit higher than others but let's pretend we are in Hawaii!!!!!!! Aloha
I used to love this place a few years ago, now it's a bit disappointing. I ordered online, the last few times, to skip the line. The first time, I had to wait ten minutes past my pick up time and this time my food was cold. Last time it was very saucy. The salad had a puddle under it and I have more sauce than rice on my island chicken. This time it was barely dressed and I had twice the amount of rice. My chicken katsu was alright, a little dark but I can get past that. I cannot, on the other hand, get pass the piece that was oozing fat and breading. It's just too inconsistent to go back. Portion sizes are generally great. I love the balance of protein, carbs and veg. It's just you never know if your order will be ready on time, if it'll be cold or hot. Or, if it's going to be a worthy quality if you're paying $17 for a plate. Regarding the customer service.. they seem a bit socially awkward. So both times I've gone they see me and either turn around or they start fiddling with things or ignore me. When they finally acknowledged me they were friendly but it was strange. It was reminiscent of when you see someone new and fiddle while deciding when or how to approach. So, like I said, the food is decent but inconsistent but I won't be going back to this location.

Food is yummy and portions are big. But the location looks like no one cleans it (especially under the soda fountain, the cabinet door was off the hinge and the area underneath was GROSS). And I found a large piece of clear plastic wrap in my scoop of macaroni salad. The health department needs to visit this place.
The food looks really good but it doesn't actually compare to any of the other Hawaiian BBQ places in SF. I got the Mixed Chicken and BBQ order and my chicken was basically all breading, the steak pieces they gave me were just super leathery and not chewable and the chicken was extremely salty. Macaroni salad had no flavor. The best thing was the rice. The interior dinning area is also falling apart.

Been coming here for years - usually for weekday night pickups - but the last 2x place was a warzone and got my order >30 mins past what the confirmation said. Small place was cramped and chaotic, with many standing in front of the counter waiting to get pickups. The ladies move slowly and don't manage the traffic effectively, making newcomers confused. Many probably had orders sitting out ahead of those standing around, but couldn't even approach the staff. Last straw was when a walk-in got their food before mine (I was waiting 30 mins at that pt). I knew they weren't just overwhelmed, their process was broken or the staff aren't trained.

I normally would.give this place a good review. But I just left and the lady at counter ... Sunday evening at around 5:25. Gave me all kinds of attitude ... I asked for no salad... guess what? I got salad. I tipped a dollar ... and she wouldn't even give me a bag to carry it in.... like I couldn't afford 25 cents. My food was cold, like someone didn't pick up their order. The meat was old and dry... Just rude and unprofessional. It's fast food.. I guess it's to be expected

Service was bland, like the salad. Never enough salad dressing. Staff looked tired and not welcoming.
Food is ok but service was so bad I will never return. The ladies behind the counter are miserable and hostile. They are people who should never be customer facing. Really gross energy and no food is worth having to interact with such vile interactions.
Dirty disgusting, packing girl was puting her fingers in her mouth and touching hair. Store is very dirty. I ordered food and before came ready requested refund and left.
Very disappointed with the food from L&L Hawaiian Barbecue. We ordered 3 different meals and all of them were very poor quality. The food had almost no flavor and some of it seemed undercooked. None of the dishes tasted good and it honestly felt like a waste of money. This was one of the worst Hawaiian BBQ experiences we’ve had. I would not recommend ordering from here.
Decent food but service is horrible. I will not be returning. For reasons unknown, my online order of two meat plates was delayed by almost 45 minutes. Second time it’s happened. People float in and out with their orders despite the busy-ness. Staff will not take responsibility, bring out the manager, or share their name/contact info. They will not refund my money or answer any questions.
