Great pho (some of the best in town), cheap. #12 is great - brisket and rare beef. The chicken Pho (#13) is actually better than the place next door that specializes in chicken pho. Always with abundant fresh sides (basil, lime etc). Also recommended: imperial roll, Vietnamese iced coffee.
So delicious. And the Pho is gluten free (which it was in vietnam also!! So I am grateful to have finally found a place here that is authentic in that particular way). I got the #1. I loved it but next time I will get the meat option without the meatball. Didn’t love the meatball but the rare steak, tripe, tendon are all awesome. The broth is delicate and sweet and flavorful. Their homemade chili oil is perfect. I added like 9 scoops bc I love the tingling on my tongue. It’s spicy but tolerable… if your tolerance is high :) they only provide 1 additional plate of bean sprouts, basil, lemon (should be lime though) and jalapeño. I wish they provided 2 additional. The basil is so necessary and adds a lot of layers!
I got the #12 pho with rare steak and brisket large for about $14.50 after tax. Veggies were fresh. Portions were a good size. Meat quality was also solid. Soup isn't the best I've ever had, but I really enjoyed my meal and would recommend this as a solid pho spot in the city. Service was quick. I was seated immediately. Food came out super quickly too.
Pho 2000 has delicious pho. The broth is rich with flavor. I ordered the number 8 Pho (Pho with rare beef and flank steak). I ordered the large size, but I think most people should just get the regular. Prices are reasonable. My large pho + soda came out to $17 after tax (before tip). The restaurant atmosphere is generally casual. You order at the table but pay at the counter.
Being right near my work, we went to Pho 2000 to celebrate a coworker's birthday. Although it is in somewhat of a seedy area, immediately upon entering the restaurant we felt transported to Vietnam (or at least removed from the Tenderloin). For an appetizer, we got the Goi Cuon (shrimp and pork rolls). The Goi Cuon was fantastic, and the peanut like sauce complemented the shrimp, pork, and lettuce beautifully. For the main, I got the Bun Rieu (crab noodle soup). The Bun Rieu broth was a little spicy, but I amped it up by adding some of the chili crisp on the table. The broth had a nice spicy and seafood flavor, and the crab paste and shrimp paste tasted great with the noodles and broth. There was also a nice serving of ground pork, especially considering I got the small portion which was only around $11.59. Everyone else at the table loved their entrees as well. Given that it serves super tasty food at very reasonable prices, I will definitely be back!
Delicious, fresh, authentic. No frills seating in the dining area, this is a very casual type restaurant so you can expect to see the cooks walking through the dining area with pots and pans they may be taking to the back. Or a server sitting at a table separating the basil. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the imperial rolls and the small #6 rice noodle soup with rare steak. The portions are generous. I couldn’t finish the small and my husband still had a little left as well. The area is not the best but we will definitely be back for more.
Absolutely fantastic experience at Pho 2000! I recently visited their San Francisco location and had the Veggie Pho along with their delicious Thai tea. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The Veggie Pho was beyond my expectations; the broth was rich and flavorful, and the fresh vegetables added a delightful crunch to every bite. The portion size was generous, and the combination of ingredients created a perfect balance of taste and texture. To complement my meal, I decided to try their Thai tea, and it was the perfect choice! The creamy sweetness paired wonderfully with the savory pho, making it a delightful and refreshing combination. Overall, my dining experience at Pho 2000 was outstanding. The restaurant’s cleanliness and comfortable seating added to the enjoyment of the meal. I truly appreciate their dedication to catering to vegetarians and providing such delicious options. I highly recommend Pho 2000 to anyone looking for an authentic and mouthwatering Vietnamese dining experience in San Francisco. Five stars all the way! I can’t wait to visit again and try more of their delectable offerings.
I have 3 favorite pho places in SF and this is one of them. The broth here is exceptional, heavier on the clove and cinnamon which is my preference. Absolutely delicious
Pho is pretty great, the broth is nicely balanced between spice complexity and bone broth. There is a nice bit of richness and the cuts of meat were excellent. The bun bo hue is equally pretty solid. The banh xeo is delicious, there is a nice smoky flavor in the crepe and it is packed with goods! Wish it came with a bit more lettuce though. The Vietnamese iced coffee here is missing a punch, tastes a bit watered down to me
THIS PLACE IS A GEM! Was in Vietnam in Spring 2024 and this is the closest most authentic Vietnamese experience I have had in the city. I lived in SF for 3 years before hearing about this from my gf and am so sad I've slept on a such a great experience.
I’ve been going here since I moved to San Francisco a few years ago. Best pho in the city hands down!! Their broth is so so flavorful and simply perfect. I always get the rare beef one but their chicken pho is really good too. The staff are always so nice too and they remember me when I come in🥹pho 2000 forever💕
Our favorite pho in town even in the world!! We usually stop by when we are in the area and craving for some pho. For the appetizer, we had bbq pork rolls. It’s our first time trying it and it’s really delicious. The chicken pho is just amazing. The portion is good and the broth is flavor. I highly recommend this place and definitely will be back again.
Everything was amazing my aunt and mom are crazy about Vietnamese food so we walked to this one after seeing some photos online. They served us tea the moment we sat down, it was amazing. The portions are large, despite being labeled small. Imperial rolls, pho ga, and a mi xao bo. The prices were just right. My aunt really love their shirts Pho nomenal, had to snap a photo. Accidently pinched the guy trying to get a shot of it. Thank you again for doing that fo us. She loved it!
The spring rolls were quite nice, and the spicy noodle soup was exceptional. The pho was rich, comforting, and full of deep flavor. After trying it here, I feel it will be difficult to choose any other place for my next pho craving. I left very pleased with the entire meal.
Your typical pho place with very reasonable price and fast service. It gets crowed during lunch hours sometimes. I like their bun Bo Hue as it’s very flavorful with good amount of toppings.
The pho broth was so delicious. The chefs special and a number 2. I may not be a pho expert however this pho was well worth the 40 min drive. Service wasn’t bad, had a bit of a language barrier. When we walked in we thought of turning around as the outside and inside are not appealing to the eyes. However the flavor makes up for it 10fold. Will surely be back
Normally full & a little cramped, but the wait is worth it. Delicious food, good portion & great service. Just don’t linger too long. Just order, eat & go. There are people waiting for your table!
We visited this pho place after reading the great reviews, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable compared to other places. The service was fast and attentive, which made the experience even better. The area might feel a little intimidating to walk through at first, but it’s along the main busy street, so it still feels safe. Overall, a great spot for tasty pho and friendly service, we’d happily come back again! 🍜
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant today. I decided to try the beef carpaccio for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious — very fresh, tender, and full of flavor. I also ordered the beef pho, which was served in a generous portion with plenty of noodles and broth, and once again, the beef was impressively fresh and tasty. Beyond the food, I really appreciated the attentive service. The staff were considerate and took the time to arrange a comfortable table for us. They were also very accommodating with children, which made the dining experience much easier and more enjoyable for our family. Overall, the combination of fresh ingredients, generous portions, and thoughtful service left me with a very positive impression. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for both delicious food and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.
I often go to this restaurant to eat pho. Although it is in a difficult area of the tenderloin, it is so worth it to dine there. The food is spectacular and has a homemade-feel unique to Pho 2000. There are many menu options and the workers are always hustling for food to come out as fast as possible. There are many condiments and garnish. It is a popular spot because of how delicious the food is, but it should not deter you from visiting as they have seating on two different floors. There will be a place for you to sit. Just make sure to lock your car and bring all valuable with you.
Best pho ever! We also ordered the fresh rolls with shrimp and it was delicious. Meat was incredibly tender, vegetables were fresh and crisp and the broth was heavenly.
I had lunch here during my trip to San Francisco, and it was fantastic! This place is very popular with locals, and the pho was truly delicious. The bowl was large and came with a generous amount of broth and noodles. Fresh vegetables like bean sprouts were served on the side, so you could add them as you like. Highly recommended!
Walked through a crappy area to get the most delicious pho. First time I stayed in the city. Had to try this out. Can't believe I never came here before. Love it.
My boyfriend and I came across this cute little authentic place while on our trip in San Francisco 2 weeks ago. We went on a Saturday around noon and the service was pretty fast, we were sat at a table upstairs (which did happen to be hot but they had about 3 fans running) as soon as we got there. We both ordered pho and it was sooooo good, from the broth, to the noodles, to even the chili oil. We also ordered coconut juice to drink, it’s the best thing I’ve ever had!! 10/10 would recommend :)
Excellent Pho. Nice authentic atmosphere. Nice staff.
They get you free hot Te as drink. Food and service excellent

Fast service, good pho. We've been twice, and both times, we were seated immediately in the upstairs area. Have tried their spring rolls, combo beef pho, and bun rieu. Pho had a great broth flavor. Quick service, good food, decent prices for the city.

I dealt with walking here from my hotel in Union Square not once but twice because the food was SO good. Definitely one of the best phos I have ever had, the broth is so fragrant and noodles are served perfectly cooked. Service is fast and prices are beyond reasonable. Be sure to bring cash to avoid credit card fees.
Looks like a hole in the wall but the food was absolutely delicious! Much better than alot of the trendy spot you'd find. The seating is limited but the food is worth it if you're comfortable sitting by a stranger. I'll definitely be back

Pho 2000 is a cute restaurant with two floors with kind and efficient service. I ordered pho dac biet (#1) small size and Thai iced tea. They also provide with hot tea when you first sit. The pho was okay. Everything was fine except that the broth wasn’t as strong as I wanted it to be. It was very mild which made it kind of hard to taste. I had to mix a bit of hoisin sauce into the broth to be able to taste it. The noodles were kind of overcooked and there wasn’t as much meat as I thought there would be. The Thai tea was delicious! Strong, sweet, and refreshing just how I like it. I had received both items in less than 10 minutes. This restaurant is a great lunch spot!
Came here with friends and got seated immediately! Good: - Really good pho and I got the shrimp paste noodles and enjoyed both - Good soup, and flavorful dishes - Imperial rolls were really great too, good crunch - Good ambiance for catching up, we had a nice upper floor seat Bad: - Hard to flag down waiters so the service was a bit slower - The place is a bit more janky since it's in the middle of the Tenderloin Overall this place was good for a cheaper fast meal, and liked the food enough to want to come again!
There is only street parking. Price for pho is average. Cleanness is OK. This is one of my favorite pho places. I have been here many times before the pandemic. I think the broth has changed a little. The soup is less flavorful and I have noticed the pot used to cook soup base is much smaller than before. Maybe there are less customers.Food size is still the same.
When I go to a Vietnamese restaurant I’ve never been to I always order the Bun Bo Hue instead of Pho. It usually tells me a lot about how good the rest of the menu is like whether they cut corners with flavor enhancers or limit ingredients. The Bun Bo Hue portion size here was large, had generous cuts of meat with large blocks of blood pork in a broth glistening with oil - as it should be. Soup bordered on the salty side and not as spicy as other places but overall was good. Sitting on the upper mezzanine gives you a view of the kitchen and customers on the ground floor. Definitely will come back to try my other test bowl, a Bun Rieu, next time. Update…Bun Rieu was a disappointment. It might as well have been just pho broth with tomatoes, freezer burned tofu, and lots of ground pork. I’ll stick with the usual Bun Bo Hue next time.
Wow! Is my first reaction. This food was amazing. Fresh ingredients and nice portion sizes. Upon entering you are greeted by the staff we were seated ryte away. Googled showed less busy than usual and I believe it. The pho is out of this world due to the freshness of all the ingredients. The imperial rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had(they’re huge!) Will recommend this spot to everyone.
We’re visiting from socal. I was really looking forward to eating here based on their reviews. Sometimes the little food places are the best ones. So I guess I’m a little disappointed because the broth did not live up to its review. It was a little bland, and the broth makes the pho. Now I will say that the portions are huge they come in really big bowls. We ordered the #12 and #4. The Imperial Eggrolls lived up to the hype though 😁 - those were bomb.

Pho2000 is one of my favorite spots! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and comforting. The pho broth is rich and delicious, and the portions are great for the price. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Definitely a great place to come when you want something warm and satisfying. Highly recommend!
Parking can be challenging in this area, we arrived before 5:00 PM and still had to circle around to find a spot. We ordered the crispy crepe, special combo pho, and Thai tea. Honestly, the food was just okay. The crepe was pretty bland, and the pho tasted like your standard pho, nothing really stood out. The Thai tea was fine, but didn’t stand out. While the meal was okay, it didn’t leave a strong impression, and we likely wouldn’t go out of our way to return.
Location is scary, getting a bit better after the new strategy " no clean up the tents no funding before the election." Food is decent not great. Portion is big. Soup base is ok, on the lighter taste side. Decoration is so old, not as pretty as the photos. Staff is nice but they don't speak too much English.

Whoever said this place has good bánh xèo: apologize to me, and I will take you to a better place. It was the worst bánh xèo I’ve had in my entire life. It was thick, wet, undercooked and unseasoned dough. Slimy and completely flavorless. I was genuinely confused. I’ve never had bad bánh xèo before, and I order it at every Vietnamese restaurant that serves it. How do you mess up a fried pancake? As for the bún riêu, everything else was fine, but they used tofu that had clearly gone bad (2 out of the 4 pieces were distinctly sour, disgusting, and slimy inside). The bún bò Huế had good broth, but the amount of meat was disappointing, with very little variety in protein. I had been looking forward to coming here. I won’t be back.
We visited Pho 2000 and tried a couple of dishes in Dec 2024: * Pho Dac Biet (Special Combo Pho): We ordered a large portion, and it was filled with plenty of protein, which we appreciated. The broth had a rich, balanced flavor, but it wasn't as standout as we hoped. Overall, a solid dish, but it could have been better. * Chicken Fried Rice (with extra chicken): Unfortunately, this dish didn't meet our expectations. It was overly oily and lacked flavor. Even with the extra portion of chicken, it just fell flat. Ambiance was mediocre, service was quick, and the portions were generous, but the inconsistency in quality between the dishes brought the experience down.
