Searched for nearby restaurant in Golden Gate Park and this looked to be promising with great reviews. It definitely did not disappoint. Pizzas were delicious and burrata cheese appetizer is a must. Loved it all.
Simply the best and most authentic Italian pizzeria in town. Pizzas are Neapolitan style from a real wood-fired oven! Dough, mozzarella and tomato sauce are all made in house by chef Joey. Toppings are the best quality and there's a great variety of them. Beer selection is top notch with a mix of imported bangers and local craft's. Hamada and his uncle are die hard hop lovers and you won't be disappointed by their ever-rotating drafts. KP is a true neighborhood gem and the owners love their local community. It's a "must visit" if you love quality pizzas (and beers!)
Super delicious pizzas! We had the diavola and the manzo e burrata. They were so flavourful, and the crust was crispy, yet addictingly soft and chewy. Plus they were playing tennis on the tv. Only mild complaint is the manzo e burrate was a little soggy. Otherwise, could not ask for more. Top 10 pizza places I've been to, and definitely worth a visit if you're around golden gate park
If Naples and Sarajevo had a love child and raised it in San Francisco with a Belgian uncle who’s really into beer, you’d get Pizzetta Napoletana. Where else can you find pizza topped with Foustman’s Lamb Salami (aka my new love language) and Basturma—which in the Balkans we call Suho Meso, aka “the beef jerky that went to college and got sophisticated”? These toppings don’t just elevate pizza, they graduate it with honors. The beer list is equally wild—in the best way. From Belgian Trappist monks (shoutout to the OG brewmasters) to the coolest independent local breweries, the selection is like a United Nations of hops and malts. Pairing one with your lamb-salami pizza is basically a cultural exchange program for your taste buds. To top it off, the staff aren't just friendly-they're like pizza sommeliers who know exactly what you need before you do. I asked one question about toppings and suddenly felt like I'd enrolled in a delicious masterclass. Bottom line: if you want pizza that slaps, beer that sings, and staff that make you feel like family, Pizzetta Napoletana is the move.
Amazing wood fire baked pizza. Friendly and welcoming staff and overall great experience. All the pizzas were amazing aswell as the appetizer.
We were leaving the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park and thought we'd check our map for what else was in the area. Kezar Pizzetta was a 15-minute walk and happy hour had just begun. They had good reviews. We were not disappointed! We were invited in with a friendly smile. It is a small place, clean, comfortable and cozy with wood lined walls. The service and food was terrific. The Caesar salad was perfectly chopped into bite-sized pieces with a wonderful dressing and topped with anchovies. Large enough for two to share. Our Meat & Fungi, wood fired pizza had a thin crust with a delicious thick airy edge to pinch off and eat on it's own. It had a rich, slightly charred taste from the oven. Adding a cold crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a nice cold beer made this a perfect afternoon. Overall it was a great experience.
Two weeks ago. I visited this place with my folks who are well in their 70s. They are from South Korea and they have informed me this was the best Pizza they had all trip to USA and I concur. The owner was friendly and food that his team created were absolutely magnificent. I know this is restaurant for the locals to eat, but they need to build a bigger sign so that even tourists would come in walking by.
Despite its unassuming exterior, it one of the best Neoplaton style pizza spots in the city. It is my mom's favorite pizza spot she has ever been to.
What at gem. I have been eyeing this restaurant for some years and finally decided to stop by for lunch with my husband. Exact choice. It is easy to miss because it is the only brick and mortar in a residential area. It is nicely located south of Kezar stadium and Golden Gate Park and west of the haight. The has a wonderful pub feel with a beautify fish tank. I can see myself coming here on a regular basis with my lap top just to have a few beers a meal and work on my laptop. I highly recommend the food. The chicken wings are really one of the best tasting I have had in San Francisco. The pizza, again one of the best. It is gourmet. Perfectly charred and right size. The bartender/waiter/cook provided great service. I will definitely plan to visit more often.
Everything about this place was just wonderful! Even the water here was good! So worth going.
Nice hidden spot with delicious pizzas. We had the regular cheese pizza and it was tasty.
The pizza, the staff, the service…phenomenal! I hosted a large team outing on a Friday night, and when our original plans fell through, I was scrambling to find something great (and fast!) that could be delivered to the bar we were at. The staff was so helpful over the phone, patiently answering all my questions and helping me make sure we ordered the right amount of food. Delivery was right on time — a total lifesaver when you’ve got a hungry group waiting and the pizza absolutely delivered. Everyone was blown away! The sausage and wagyu salami were the clear favorites. Huge thanks to the man who helped over the phone last night and to the whole staff for saving the night. (; Also, I was very happy to have some leftovers this morning haha. Highly recommend!
Pizzetta Napoletena threads a laid-back, rock-infused vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The atmosphere leans casual but intentional—relaxing rock tracks set the tone without overpowering conversation. The pizza delivers where it counts. Good char on the crust signals proper heat discipline, and the Diavolo pizza surprises with a clever touch: crisp lettuce layered on top to cut through the grease and add balance. It’s a small move, but it shows thoughtfulness in composition. Pair it with the Irish red ale on tap, which hits the spot with malty depth and just enough bite. One note for improvement: the bathroom setup could use attention. The occupancy indicator gives a false positive, which leads to awkward pauses and unnecessary waits. It’s a minor fix, but worth addressing to match the care shown elsewhere. Overall, Pizzetta Napoletena offers a solid slice-and-sip experience with enough character to warrant a return visit—and a few small tweaks could elevate it even further.

The burrata plate is so good! The pizza is also great. Super pleased with this as a lunch spot. Great service as well.
You can trust all of the great reviews here. The last time I enjoyed pie like this was in the Mother Country with a family who had a farmhouse with a hand built wood fired oven of more than 3 generations. The food and hospitality are so well executed and welcoming, and the selections and creative toppings well thought out and inspired in a cozy casual environment right by the park. You can taste the care and experience that go into the offerings and attention to detail. Also appreciated that the ambient sound levels allowed for great conversation to accompany the wonderful food and beverages paying homage to that other secret ingredient (good company). I’d love to know the story of how this local gem came to be, because it deserves to be celebrated 💖
We had a variety of different pizzas an they were all downright amazing!! Both for kids and adults. The owner even helped craft a custom pizza which turned out to be phenomenal!! And they have a nice sitting room style set up towards the back of the restaurant which was so cool to host a couple of family friends. Felt as if we are having a private fresh pizza party!!
Tried the Manzo E Burrato, Carne Funghi, and Zucca Violino. My favorite one was the Carne Funghi. The flavor was good and mushroom texture paired well with the sausage. The wagyu sausage in the manzo E Burrato was okay. I liked the sweetness of the squash in the Zucca Violino. Overall, the pizzas were a perfect thickness and texture, but i wasn't a fan of the taste of the burnt parts. We shared 3 pizzas among 5 people and it was the perfect amount! We sat outside in the parklet, and was a peaceful setting with golden gate park across the street.
After visiting the SF botanical gardens, this wonderful pizzeria is just a short walk away. We stopped in when it wasn't so busy and I was delighted with the fantastic service we received as a party of three. Our server was very attentive and not overbearing whatsoever. We decided to make a custom order of 2 pies and wow! They both came out great. It's a shame I don't live anywhere close as I'd love to patronize this business again.
Don’t be fooled by the cozy, neighborhood vibe - this place serves some of the best pizza in the city! The ingredients are artisanal, the dough is perfectly crafted, and the beer and wine list is thoughtfully curated and always evolving. The saddest week of my life? When they had to close temporarily to install their wood-fired oven!
The Best. The perfect crust straight out of a pizza oven. Amazing toppings and specialty pizza, it brought me to Italy in one singular bite! Could not stop eating this brilliant food!! Out of this world!

The pizza is to die for, each ingredient is either made in-house (shout out to the home made burrata) or impeccably sourced. The vibe is cozy but there is also room for large groups in the back. We adore the people and the food, thank you!

Overall ok. The pizza ~looks~ authentic but the texture of the crust was a bit too tough/hard for Napoleon pie (both of our pizzas are like that; so we think it’s the recipe). We did appreciate the flavor of the topping.

Not sure if the server had a bad day or is racist but the service was one of the worst I’ve experienced at a restaurant. He clearly did not want to provide us decent service even though he was quick to provide attention towards other tables. The pizzas were very small and each $30. Expensive for burnt pizza and bad service is a no for me!
I don’t even know where to start. When you go to a pizzeria, you expect your food to be tasty and, most importantly, served quickly—even if the place is full of guests. Although in this case, it wasn’t even that busy, I had to wait 50 minutes for a pizza I paid 30 dollars for, which is just… sad. On top of that, I didn’t see the staff bring a single pizza out to the guests. And it wouldn’t have been so bad if the pizza actually tasted like it was worth 30 dollars, but it was nothing special—good, but nothing to write home about. Just an ordinary pizza you could get elsewhere for 18 dollars. It’s also worth mentioning the staff, who were constantly rushing around. If you see your restaurant is busy, you could hire more people instead of making your employees work like ten at once. We came in in a good mood and left with the taste of mediocre pizza in our mouths.
