Sushi Uma is a popular spot for AYCE sushi, praised for fresh, flavorful fish and generous portions. Service can be inconsistent. Standout rolls include Romeo & Juliet, Dragon, and Irving Street. Some find the rice excessive or spice overpowering.

Service was excellent: very attentive and answered all questions clearly. Sushi was super fresh with balanced flavors. Came out quickly and didn’t worry about missing order. Highly recommend the AYCE option.
I like going here for both lunch and dinner. This spot has delicious rolls and a huge assortment of fresh fish. The kitchen is open and facing the restaurant so you can watch your sushi being prepared by the chefs. I love going for all you can eat, and have also tried their regular menu and both are great. All you can eat offers most rolls, but it’s also worth it to try the sashimi options as well. The staff is very accommodating and quick and the sake selection is top tier. My favorite rolls are the cherry blossom and the double hamachi. Make sure you come here hungry!
Amazing sushi offers for the price! I tried 6 rolls and my favorite was the waitress recommendation "Romeo & Julliet"
Portions were really good! Friendly staff and a reasonable wait time for food to be prepared. Highly recommend the AYCE sushi!
Quiet intimate spot! My boyfriend and I went around noon on a Friday and were immediately sat. Their AYCE is also priced competitively / quality of the fish were great. We got the Dynamite, Volcano, Irving Street, Cherry Blossom, San Francisco, Romeo & Juliet, and Red Dragon rolls. Portion size was great between the two of us. Personal favorites between the two of us were the Cherry Blossom & the Volcano rolls. We’ll be back soon! Give this place a try!
If you are in SF you need to visit Sushi Uma! Great food, clean, traditional atmosphere, and amazing service!!! Our server Nancy was amazing, so polite, friendly and helpful! TOTAL RECOMMEND!
Came in on a Sunday afternoon after going on a hike. My friends and I decided to do the AYCE sushi. It's a casual and small restaurant. Service was a little slow, despite most of the customers leaving after we were seated. We had to wait a bit before a waiter took our order. Later on, when we put our second order in, we had to wait approximately 30min for it to arrive. While we were waiting, they prepared many to-go orders. Fish was fresh! I was extremely happy with the quality and freshness of the nigirl. Also really enjoyed the coral reefs roll.
The sushi was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The buffet also offered a wide variety of dishes. Highly recommended!
Stumbled on this place randomly and tried their all you can eat sushi (11am to 4pm) for $24.99 - it was so so good and fresh, truly a hidden gem
I recently had the pleasure of dining at sushi uma, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The contemporary atmosphere immediately caught my attention, blending modern design with a cozy, inviting vibe. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the sushi. I tried the Lion King Roll and the Dragon Roll, both of which were outstanding. The Lion King Roll had a perfect balance of flavors, with the richness of the baked salmon complementing the fresh ingredients inside. The Dragon Roll, with its eel and avocado, was equally impressive, offering a delightful mix of textures and flavors. The presentation was also noteworthy; each dish was a work of art, carefully crafted and beautifully plated. The service was prompt and attentive, with staff who were knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. Overall, Sushi Uma offers a sushi experience that is both sophisticated and satisfying. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or just looking for a great meal in a stylish setting, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Very clean and small place. But in a charming way!!! The song choices are recent and very nice! You do need to pay 10$+ on top of the all you can eat (AYCE). I definitely would recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience at Sushi Uma Sushi! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, perfect for a casual meal or a special night out. The sushi was absolutely fresh and beautifully presented — every bite was bursting with flavor. I especially loved their signature rolls and the quality of the fish was top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Portions were generous, and the pricing was very reasonable for the quality you get. If you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a great Japanese dining experience, Sushi Uma Sushi is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

This place is great! The service is good, and the sushi is top quality. Very yummy and filling. Get the Dynamite Roll! It's yum. Definitely coming back soon!!🙂💯
All you can eat for $26.99. We ordered spicy tuny and spicy salmon hand rolls. The spice was from the Sriracha and it kind of overpowered the taste of the fish which I didn’t love. The rolls though were pretty yummy. A little too much rice. I liked the Double Hamachi, the Dragon, the U2. Everything was great, our server was top tier. We ordered too much and he was able to cancel our order so we didn’t get charged for not finishing.
Food was great, very tasty and enjoyable. The service not much, the server at the time with a big smile brought us the bill as soon as we got our food, and we were planning on ordering more food, for some reason she seemed she wanted us to leave. But always with a smile trying to “nice”. We are not coming back.

The sushi was definitely heavier on the rice part but given the price it’s kinda expected. Overall, the food and service was good. The ambiance was good but it does heat up inside the restaurant.
Friendly service and I like to support local restaurants but Sushi Uma can really improve the their bento boxes and signature sushi rolls to match the cost and they should. Quality is over quantity for a sushi restaurant.
1st time & the purchased AYCE for $29.99. Food was average like every AYCE sushi. Customer service was outstanding and food service was fabulous. The rolls were fat which is fulfilling.
Very mid place i came here with my wife for the all you can eat option. We really wanted to try their scallops options they had avaliable. When we arrived however all the scallop options had been taken off the menu. Their blue fin tuna sushi roll (Irvine roll) terrible. It tasted off so I didn't even finish. I will give props to the Romeo and Juliet Roll. The servers were nice and I enjoyed my meal however I don't think I will come back . The rolls have so much rice on them and they have it on the menu that you have to rmeat the rice or you can't order more. I was so full with the rice, that I could not order more.
Hole in the wall AYCE sushi spot. Just average sushi. Good customer service.

You’re not going to this place for sushi. You’re going for oversized rolls packed with rice, filled with imitation crab or shrimp tempura, and only the tiniest sliver of fish, all marketed as “signature” rolls during their AYCE meal. I actually had to scrape a lot of rice off every roll and hide it in my napkin. The tuna was shredded, which makes me suspect it wasn’t exactly fresh. This was the first time in my life I’ve ever left a Japanese restaurant with food still on my plate. Rents are high in San Francisco, so I’ll give the owners credit for trying the AYCE concept and somehow making it profitable. That said, I would only recommend the ACYE aspect of this place unless you are with kids and those 20-something year olds who don't know what sushi actually really is supposed to be about.

Sushi Una ruined our family Thanksgiving. We ordered mid afternoon with plenty of time assuming there may be a wait. Two hours later later, the delivery person arrived and was told by the kitchen that the food is not ready yet. The restaurant never picked up their phone after three hours. The order was canceled. This is most unprofessional and was deeply disappointing to us. Leaving a house full of hungry people. If you can’t fulfill the volume, don’t take orders. At least pick up your phone.

decided to try out sushi uma on a saturday around 1:30pm for their ayce and confused how their service greatly depleted compared to coming on a weekday. i understand that weekends get busy and they had me write down my name and number on a piece of paper, said they’d call when table was ready (est 30-90min). we decided to walk back and check on our placement an hour later just to see tables empty and never recieved a phone call. after finally being seated and ordering some appetizers, we were ready to order next and tried to call a waitress over to have her say “yes i can take your order i’ll be right back” as she dropped off our appetizers and then proceeded to help three other tables. i had to call over the other waitress to take our order instead. what is the point of having ayce time limit of 90min when you can’t even take someone’s order in a timely manner? i’d rather pay $40 elsewhere for faster and more reliable service. the restaurant is small, total of about 10 tables varying in sizes but i shouldnt have to flag down a different waitress just to order food after waiting another 20min. Received first sushi roll halfway through the time limit. Seems like they prioritize DoorDash orders more than their real customers.
The sushi was very bland, the service very slow. The bathrooms and floors were not clean. We came here because we saw it being advertised on social media about how it was all you can eat, and it “looked” good in the video. I’ll admit it looked pretty decent BUT not in person. We happened to be in the area and decided to stop by.. since it’s the weekend it was $29 for all you can eat. They were not very busy but still we had to wave down the waiters and staff just to get water refills and place our order, but the most frustrating part was just a lack of flavor and bad taste. with so many options in the city is hard to recommend this place.
We ordered at 10:47 PM via Uber Eats, expecting a proper dinner. What we received was extremely disappointing. They delivered two “soups” of about 100 grams each — portions for miniature people. Sushi came with wasabi but NO soy sauce at all. No cutlery, no napkins. Instead of 8 sushi pieces, we received only 6. Soup was delivered plain, without anything. This is simply unacceptable. The only edible item was the calamari, which our child ate. This order is absolutely not worth $45 USD — at best $15, and even that is for children. It feels like a dishonest, almost fraudulent approach to customers. Do not order here. I don’t know who the manager is, but this level of service is unacceptable.
