Tip: Don't be discouraged by the unassuming exterior; the food is worth it. Moist meats like al pastor and birria are especially good in burritos.

I was in the mood for the chimichanga until I saw a waitress bring out a shrimp plate for someone else and it looked delicious. I got that and a fish taco and they were amazing! The shrimp plate came out with warmed tortillas and the mild spice was perfect!
Just a lovely little spot off the side of the main part of Union Square. Chill and honest vibe, the lady who served me was helpful and just made for a lovely dinner. Food is good, fairly priced and overall a great option if you’re near!
I was starving after a VERY long travel day and this was a terrific find! The venue doesn't look like much from the outside, but the tacos were excellent. I went with the pastor raco special and it was just the right amount. The flavors were perfect 👌
Came in around 3pm on a Monday and nobody was there! Ordered a carne asada super quesadilla and sat down for a couple minutes before my order was ready! Came out quick, fresh and hot! Just a small joint, but packed huge flavor! It was also conveniently close to my hotel (Beacon Grand). I want to try all the food!
Delicious food! Lots of flavor and fresh ingredients! The service was very polite and heartwarming. Also, no disposable plates or cutlery - thank you! 👏 The neighborhood is not the prettiest, but don't allow that to put you off.
Big burrito with my only complaint being the pastor (pork) didn't stand out. Quite delicious nonetheless
Went there multiple times during my short stay in SF and this place is an absolute gem! Tried everything from burritos to pretty much all meat they had - absolutely recommended!
This little place has great food at an excellent price! It's a little hole in the wall right next to the tunnel. They have very nice people who run the place. We ordered the baby burrito lunch plate and it was not baby! This baby burrito came with chips, salsa, and a cold canned drink for $8.75. Highly recommend if you want a quick, authentic, yet budget friendly lunch!
You know those local family owned, tucked away, special places that are just amazing. This is Taqueria Mana. Fresh, made from scratch, generous portions, flavorful and just plain good. Daily specials are solid hits. My picky eater wife, SHE raved about it. Baby burrito is still a good size burrito. Regular & Super are for when you got more room in your belly. The street tacos (asada) are just plain good. Like so good, we went back for dinner later.
The staff were super nice and the tacos were incredibly delicious 🙌 The prices were also really cheap I ordered the 3 Mini Taco Special which came with chips and a soda pop You should definitely check this place out!!!!!
An unassuming Mexican restaurant but provides great food and service. Seems very authentic!
Very delicious burritos!! Don’t get scared from the outside! It’s worth a try :)
order at the counter and grab a table or counter space and wait… it’s short and worth it. service was kind and fast, food was fresh and flavorful and the atmosphere was perfectly cozy. the chips for the nachos were perfect.
This place is a whole in the wall but OMG food is amazing. We visited from Miami trying to find authentic Mexican food. Hands down Amazing. It’s packed a little, but for the deliciousness I think it well worth to be patient and make a line. We stayed a few days in the city and we ate there 2-3 times. The prices are very affordable!

If you are in the area I would highly suggest Taqueria Mana especially, if you are in the mood for Mexican food! Great food, great customer service, and best prices for a Bay Area restaurant! I had two carnitas tacos and two al pastor!

The family that runs Mana are the absolute nicest people of any Taqueria I've ever been to, and that is saying so much. The food is delicious, does not disappoint. Pro tips: any of their meats that are moist do better in the burritos (al pastor, birria), and ask for Serranos if you like really spicy food.
When we first walked in, the server lady was extra friendly. The food was seasoned very well with superb taste and was the best Mexican food I'd had in a while!!!! The server( she) was very accomodating when having to ask her to take pictures of my son and I!!!! Would definitely recommend this place for friendliness and mouth watering tasty food!!!!
The people running this taqueria were super sweet. The food was authentic and delicious. I had the mole. Probably the best mole I’d ever had. My husband had the enchiladas and a super taco. Very tasty! We’re only here for a few days, but I think we’ll find away to make this a meal again.
This place feels like a taste of the Mission in Union Square. A breath of fresh air compared to all the chain lunch options in the area.

Pictures are a bit deceiving, this isn't a fine sit down Mexican fusion restaurant. Instead they are exactly what their name implies, a taqueria serving solid Mexican food at reasonable prices. I got a perfectly put together bacon and egg breakfast burrito which was made fresh and quickly. Their hours are good and the service is excellent, will definitely go again.
A little disappointed with their tamales. Their burrito and quesadillas are great, so I had high hopes for their tamales. Sadly, the tamales were really dry. If not for the sauce and the sides, I wouldn’t have finished the tamales.
Ordered a vegan taco without beans, $5. small size taco and clean food. Used to come here many years ago. If I'm in the area, I will return to this "hole in the wall" place.
