We went to The Vault, the one that's downstairs. Very good vibe, live piano music, charming atmosphere, delicious food. Enjoyed every moment. Jarrett was helpful and funny. Other guys were also amazing. We stayed in SF for Thanksgiving, but when we visit again, we will definitely be back here. Thanks, guys!
Great restaurant, well designed dishes that taste good, great service, great location. It was a day after Thanksgiving and we came here for our team dinner. Did the $55 chefs menu and it came with 6 courses including amuse bouch with caviar! The tasting menu was great value and had great presentation, and it came with short ribs, sea bass, cheesecake, apple dumplings, soup, salad and rolls We were blown away! For everything that it is, I would give it 5 stars.
I was there for the annual lobster feast on August 26. Expensive - $125. But very good. My only complaint is for the chips at the beginning of dinner. Not crispy and dip tasted like thousand island dressing. Well, you should not fill up on those anyways. The rest of the food was excellent. Very fresh oysters (separate $27 charge for half dozen). The lobster was of good size perfectly cooked accompanied with corn sausage and potato. And a little tart for desert. Once a year, it is a very good treat. The service was also excellent.
Pretty good experience, the food is quite nice but the menu is somewhat small. We tried the french onion dip sandwich and it was outstanding. Some other items were average though like the salmon. The service is solid and relatively quick. No complaints there. The atmosphere is nice for a quick lunch, not the most comfortable seats for an extended time though Overall it is a nice place to grab lunch or dinner with work friends, the location is definitely prime
Food was great. Some dishes stood out: the vegetables section were surprisingly tasty given that I don’t usually find the vegetable dishes very interesting. Both the spring peas and baby carrot dishes were delicious. The duck main was wonderful and has a nice crispy skin. Desserts again stood out. Not a chocolate dessert eater but their chocolate mousse(?) with honey drizzle was wonderful. And the Yuzu dome (like a semi freddo with a jam filling) was so good. Some dishes were on the saltier side but i don’t mind that. If you like your dishes more mild, perhaps make that known to your friendly waiter.
During the Christmas season, the decorations were beautiful, the food selection wasn't very extensive, and I wouldn't rate the food highly, but the atmosphere was top-notch.
What a wonderful experience!! Service impeccable, food delicious, piano player talented, decor and lighting inspiring. Highly recommend for a romantic dinner and or a customer event.
A great birthday dinner! Good for groups. Very kind service. Cocktails were delicious including the off menu sazerac. The tomahawk really made the ribeye look sad but both were cooked as requested and delicious. The tots had a good crisp on the outside and soft inside with an appropriate amount of caviar. Mac and cheese was excellent. Fried rice was great. Could maybe have done without the mushrooms. Desserts were okay but we were so full at that point.

Absolutely delicious food w/layers of detailed flavors! Everything is tasty and you cannot go wrong w/any of the entrees. Head chef is a mastermind of a genius and I loved the ambience! A must stop in SF!
The food is amazing and so is the team at the Vault Garden! They can handle every dietary restriction. If ever you loose an item like I did, they really make an effort to find it. Rhian, one of the managers truly went above and beyond to find the lost item!

Just came in for a holiday drink and the place is dripping in fun decorations! The staff is decked out in holiday gear, too. If you say Bah, humbug this time of year, get yourself over to The Vault Garden and turn your frown into a smile!

The Vault Garden Experience The Vault is built into a decommissioned bank vault in San Francisco's Financial District. It opened its doors in April 2019, but less than a year later, COVID-19 hit. Shortly after, the Vault Garden opened, using the patio in front of the Bank of America building at the corner of California and Kearny streets. As the weather gets colder, it can be challenging to eat outside comfortably, but The Vault Garden has heaters and is somewhat protected from the cold breeze most of the time. The food is delicious, and the service is outstanding. If you want to treat yourself and a couple of companions to some fancy and delicious food, The Vault Garden is an option you should consider. Did I mention the cocktails are awesome too? They help with staying warm! Just make sure to drink responsibly.
The Vault Garden is cheerfully full of holiday decorations and celebrants at this time of year. The $30 2-course prix fixe is a pretty good lunch deal, though portions are pretty small. My soup was potato-leek, nicely smooth and blended. But the choice of fried leek on top actually was a bit weird to chew in my soup. The chive snips were a great vibrant green accent. Butternut squash risotto with roasted chestnuts, sage, and mushrooms: I appreciated the roasting on the squash pieces, but I think some citrus might have been nice to amplify the flavors. And the rice was a little more al dente than I prefer. The hot buttered rum, with banana and walnut butter, was a very fun, if oddly gritty, choice, thanks to the nuts being chopped into the butter. Would definitely try again, but maybe stick to the regular menu just to get the effect of a full entree.
The Vault Garden is a great semi-outdoor space for some delicious bites and creative cocktails. Their service staff is outstanding and very kind. For lunch they have a pre-fixe menu as well as an a la carte menu with delectable morsels. Their food is well prepared with a simple elegance. Definitely a lively place around midday, and I would suggest going early or making a reservation. I would definitely come back to try more or even their dinner menu. They also validate parking for anyone wondering.
We were lucky enough to get to taste the new Spring menu. Beautiful presentations. Flavors of both food and drinks were interesting. We made reservations but honestly probably not needed. There were barely any people there for dinner. Lighting was pretty dim not great for pictures. It was very chilly in their outdoor seating even with the heaters surrounding us. Good place for tapas.

Had the warm two Christmas drinks on the menu - Harry and Marv, and Krampus. Both are so delightful and smooth on a cool December evening. I also had Focaccia Bread which was pepper and garlic flavored. I really loved the combination of bread and a warm drink. The Christmas decorations were amazing though. Best part of the evening. Must visit during the Christmas holidays.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Vault Garden. Nothing was overly impressive but the food was pretty good. The sweet potato dumplings were the overwhelming favorite. The mushroom risotto was also solid. The Vault is right across the street from the Omni so it’s convenient. If you have time then go somewhere else but if not this isn’t a strike out. Mushroom Risotto: 3/5 Pork Chop: 4/5 Salmon: 3/5 Steak frites: 4/5 Sweet potato dumplings: 4.5/5

Had dinner at The Vault Garden with a group of colleagues. We had a pre-set menu since it was a large group, so my review is based on what I ordered. I started with the tuna tartare, which was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My main course was the steak frites; while the fries were great, the steak itself was a bit chewy and lacked flavor, even though it was cooked medium rare. For dessert, the sorbet was light and refreshing. Service was very good and the staff were friendly and attentive. The garden setting is beautiful and makes for a lovely dining experience. Overall, it was a pleasant evening, though I might explore other menu options next time.

Value of food for the price is terrible. $47 for four tiny scallops would barely pass as an appetizer.
This was very disappointing. The ambiance and decor was beautiful, but the food and service were both lacking. We were only a party of 4 and it took over 3 hours for our meal, with 20-30 minutes between courses. For the price point of the menu, the flavor, temperature and quality were below expectations. We were excited to try their twist on pigs in a blanket, but the house made sausage lacked flavor and texture and the wrapping was so overpowering that you lost the flavor of the meat. The elevated tater tots were ok, but not hot enough when served and a bit too much oil on the outside but dry on the inside. The steak (what they are supposed to do best) was the most disappointing. The ribeye was $66 and came out like warm and lacked flavor, both in the meat itself and with the seasoning. It was also really tough (especially since we all ordered it medium rare). The wines we had were good, but also over priced. Because this was a new opening, we were pretty patient with the pace of service, but the steak really seemed to be mediocre quality and the price for what we got was absurd. Don't think we'll be trying this again, sadly.

For being a holiday pop up this place leaves a lot to be desired. Cold Plastic chairs on a patio? There’s nothing cozy about this place. The staff is excellent and the drinks are decent but the food is below average so on all counts would recommend you skip.
