Great bar and bartender! Arno was a pure gentleman! Great spot for a late night drink after the crowds have cleared North Beach. We were the only two people in there on NYD at midnight but the bartender made us feel welcome and happily gave us great service even though the streets were dead. He also pointed us to a premium sandwich shop for lunch the next day. $14 specialty cocktails and $5 beers too!
Bartender was fast and nice. We will definitely come back for more drinks. We loved Gimlet!
I love North Beach! It is not every time I visit SF I am lucky enough to find an open seat here…so was very happy to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon in this wonderful room. Fantastic bartender, great conversation…reasonable prices… what more could one ask for?
Hands down the best bar in North Beach. Always an excellent place to meet up with friends. Never a bad moment.
Excellent chill vibe, full of locals having a sip before work. Bartender was very welcoming and the drinks were perfect. Stop in when you are in the hood.
Happened upon this spot on our walk to Coit Tower - what a gem!! This is the kind of place you want everyone to know your name 😉 great drinks, amazing service!! If Sebastian the owner is behind the bar you are in for a real treat!
Great chill spot when it's not crowded LOL drinks are on point and the bartender and staff are friendly and attentive.
Love this place. Local joint, great bartender. Will be back if I ever come back to San Francisco.
Super friendly neighborhood hip vibe with private bathrooms

Excellent cocktails at this lively old school bar. Atmosphere feels like 1975 yet it's actually quite older. One of the best martinis in San Francisco. Despite its title, this is not a cafe or restaurant. It is a straight-up bar.
Just found this EXCELLENT bar after seeing it in Ted Danson’s wonderful new show, A Man on the Inside. Oddly the show presents the bar as a restaurant, where Danson’s late wife’s favorite meal was linguine with clams. The thing is this is a bar…no restaurant included. That said there are plenty of nearby restaurants. Try Firenze by Night. The parents started it years ago, and dad is often still on location, but the ‘’ kids’ seem to now do a great job of running the place. Wonderful food, great characters on both sides of the bar, or join repeat regular diners at a table with friends or family. Both Firenze and Tony Nik’s are wonderful North Beach hot spots that can be easily visited during the same day out.
Awesome spot. Visited from Denver and everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. Sebastian the owner invited us in and introduced us to the locals who treated us like regulars and were super friendly. Sebastian and Ian make excellent drinks. The place has cool decor and is comfortable to relax in. Can’t wait to come back.
The place is small but very nice inside. The drinks are fantastic! The bartenders are hilarious they have a great sense of humor, not pretencious like some bar tenders in area. Great place to hang out with friends.
Contemplating moving to SF just so I can hang out at this bar on a regular basis. We loved it so much that we went twice in one evening while visiting from out of town. Sebastian, the owner and bartender, is incredibly inviting and makes fantastic cocktails!
This is my favorite neighborhood bar in all the city, and was a factor in moving to North Beach neighborhood. The bartender with the short curly hair is super friendly and has been there for years and is excellent at his job, you can find him there most nights. Great drinks, cozy atmosphere, good music at a reasonable volume where you can actually hold a conversation. Catering mainly to the 30 and up crowd but plenty of late 20-somethings sprinkled in as well.
Sebastian and his team do a great job. No other bar like it with the friendly, clean atmosphere and super service. Always greet you with a friendly smile. They want you there.

If you’re a local, Tony Nik’s is one of those places where you can count on running into familiar faces—neighbors, old friends, or someone you haven’t seen in months who still remembers exactly what you drink. And if you’re a visitor, don’t worry for a second. This North Beach landmark has always welcomed newcomers with the same ease and charm. The bartenders are friendly, skilled, and never rushed, even when the bar is full. Whether you’re ordering a classic cocktail or something simple, the drinks here are consistently well-made. What I love most about Tony Nik’s is how little it has changed over the years. In a neighborhood where new spots come and go, this bar keeps its timeless feel—dim lighting, a relaxed atmosphere, and that unmistakable sense of history in the walls. It’s the kind of place where you can stop in before dinner, settle in after a long day, or chat with the regulars and feel like you belong. It remains one of North Beach’s gems: unfussy, welcoming, and a reminder that some places get it right by staying true to who they are.
Great little cocktail bar. Fun drinks menu $11-14. Bartender was friendly and quick in general but also with the help of some pre-made batch drinks. The siesta (mezcal and grapefruit) was my favorite. The bee's knees with agave instead of honey was missing that round flavor. Moscow mule had nice fresh ginger flavor. Solid.
- Just an amazing neighborhood bar - I’ve always been looking for some bar where you can go (no matter whether alone or with company), sit down, and have some nice drinks and great conversations with the bartenders or other guests. I think I found one and this is the place. Thanks to Tony Nik!

To say the bar staff here are ignorant is nothing short of an understatement. Last time I will ever visit this bar. Left my drink down (nearly full) when I went to the toilet and the Barman accidentally disposed of it. When I told him, he handed me back a beer 1/4 full. When I mentioned this to him, he just replied with a cheeky and ignorant response.
