This is our go-to restaurant for delicious vegan Viet food! Service is nice and friendly as well as quick! Even though there were other customers, they started working on our dish as soon as we ordered. My avocado smoothie (sinh tố bơ) was amazing!! Other places put Geek yogurt or some odd concoction in there that makes it terrible but this was just a sweet and delicious avocado smoothie. We ordered off the specialty menu (right before the drinks section). Ordered the cá kho tộ and combination stir fry vegetables. Cá kho tộ was soooo good! The sauce is very flavorful, sweet, savory, umami, salty... The imitation fish was also soft and tasty. We get this Everytime were here and it's always a winner. The combination stir fry vegetables was also very good. It was light yet full of flavor and textures thanks to the mushrooms, vegetables, tofu and fish tofu (which tastes just like fish cakes but better!) Even if you're not vegetarian you will find a good meal at Green Lotus.

I will be the 1st to admit when I saw the sign "vegetarian" restaurant I almost peeled out of the parking lot in desperation for the closet place with Carne. However, to my pleasant surprise I toughed it out and had delicious bbq "pork" spring rolls, egg rolls and...drum rollll...vegetarian Hainan Chicken!! All flushed down with the mango-green iced tea made an for an awesome lunch!

My favorite restaurant in the bay! You can literally choose anything on the menu and it’ll slap. But I particularly recommend the fried oyster mushroom.

It was amazing ! The food. The service! Absolutely fantastic. Being vegetarian, it wqs difficult for me to just order and be done with it. This place gave me just that! And i couldnt be more happy. And the food and service were just fabulous.

All-vegan Vietnamese restaurant with delicious food and friendly, attentive staff. It’s a bit hard to find, in the back of a little mall, but worth the search. I actually never knew it was here, but was referred here by the tofu shop across the street when they ran out of noodles. I figured it would ups be good if another restaurant owner referred me here, and I was right.

I've been here a few times and recently had the opportunity to bring coworkers to enjoy the great vegetarian options. Those meat eaters enjoyed it all. The food is good quality, great plate presentation, and loved the smoothie. That bathroom could use some TLC.

Delicious Chinese/Vietnamese vegetarian dishes!!! We enjoyed everything we ordered (bbq “pork” springroll, mixed fried rice, and braised caramelized “pork”). Place was super clean and bright. Superb service. This is now my favourite vegetarian place in the Bay Area!

I loved the place. We sat outside. The food was amazing. We ordered chicken, shrimp, pho noodle soup and all were great. Superb place for vegetarians.

My favorite vegetarian restaurant ever! When I’m missing the Vietnamese classics, I know that Green Lotus will always satisfy that craving. The food here is exceptional and this is one of my favorite restaurants ever as a Viet vegetarian in the Bay. The staff are great and I’m always excited to eat here. I highly recommend!

This place is a must if you are vegetarian and are ok with meat substitutes. All the options we ordered were flavorful and we'll presented. Their menu is fairly extensive so I can't wait to go back and try more of their food.

They have a lot of "meat" substitutes and a very wide ranging menu. I recommend their crispy chicken dish or trying their specialty plates, since some of the other "classics" like pho and vermicelli bowls sadly aren't as good as other restaurants in the area.

Communication was somewhat challenging, possibly due to language barriers, which made the experience less seamless than it could have been. Ambience: The ambience was pleasant, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere that complemented the dining experience well. In summary, Green Lotus delivers exceptional vegetarian Vietnamese dishes but could improve on service for a more well-rounded experience.

I visited this restaurant this evening, normal weekday, with my mom, who is a vegetarian. - parking: quite small area. If you are here on wkd or special religious events, you have to find other place nearby to park. - dining area is okay, decor is simple. You have to get in line and wait to call to the dining table. It’s fast on weekdays! - menu has a lot of dishes in English and Vietnamese with clear prices. To have a better menu, it should have illustrated photo for every dish. - the food is really good. We had ordered “bun mam” and “ bun cha gio”. The taste is super! We like it! Will come back and recommended to everyone, especially to vegetarians!

Happened to host close family for a Vietnamese themed dinner on Christmas eve and were left impressed with what Green Lotus has to offer.We called them up and it took a bit to get the entire order placed attributing to the number of items and the amount of inquiry/questions that we had while doing the needful. We ended up ordering (as you would see from the pictures) an array of spring roles, eggplant dish, noodle salads, milk tea and a few more. I drove in to pick up the order and when i reached there they were waiting for me to arrive so that they could as well at that time prepare the milk tea fresh and not something that was prepared and kept for a while. While we had paid for this on the call , we forgot to take care of the tip and the folks there didn't bother to mention that as well. I made sure to do another transaction just so that we could address that then and there :). Very courteous folks who definitely care a ton about their customers. Each and every item was tried and eventually finished leaving us with nothing but empty boxes at the conclusion of the dinner :) . Yummy, precisely done and a very unique flavor that was just too good. It was an overload of Vietnamese food for quite some time and hopefully we can make a trip down there soon.

Honestly neither me or my girlfriend were a fan of the salt levels/seasoning levels and honestly the variety of ingredients in the bowl left me wanting, for sure.

We go to vegan Asian restaurants often, and our bar was set pretty high - and I can confidently say most of the dishes we ordered met or exceeded expectations. The prices were slightly lower than similar veg restaurants of comparable quality, which was another plus! Absolute standout dishes: A10 fried oyster mushroom (mmm the peanut sauce), A8 green lotus egg roll (unique crispy wrapper encasing taro and veggies), R6 Hainan Chicken (such a yummy ginger sauce) Also delicious was the A2 Green Lotus Rolls Sample. We also enjoyed the Papaya Salad and Green Curry. The fish claypot was also yummy, but confused why the sauce was watery instead of thick (like how it’s supposed to be according to photos & other restaurants serving the same dish.) The only major critique was that it was warm and stuffy in there, with several tables full. It would’ve been nice if they turned on the AC or opened the windows.

Best vegan hotpot in the Bay Area. There were two hotpots that caught our attention, one was the Thai tomyum base and another was the green lotus special hot pot. We decided on the green lotus special. The Base soup is extremely flavorful and the portions were very large. Good for 3 people. They had fresh sugar cane juice which was amazing!

The vegan food was generally well-made and tasty, and I highly recommend choosing the soup-based dishes. The bún mắm soup was delicate and aromatic. The nem cuốn was refreshing to eat in the summer. I would advise against eating the mì xào dòn though.

Nice food many options. A little less spicy but you have spicy sauces. Portions are big so please order accordingly.

The vegetarian food here is delicious. Main issue would be the higher pricing. I liked the fried rice here the best.

First time here & had great experience. Foods are excellent especially the green lotus egg roll. The nem nuong cuon was ok to taste. Another great dish to order if you like salad is pamelo salad. Parking lot is available.

This was my first time at Green Lotus in San Jose since the one off of Bascom closed down. I was very surprised to see the exact same menu at the San Jose location versus the Bascom location. I got takeout this particular day and the stirfry I wanted they didn’t have any more of that style, but the lady said there was a similar one that was better for takeout. I forget which one she recommended but I ordered that one as well as the mango salad and the Vegetarian Pho. Once I got to my aunts house and set up our lunches, I found out that the Pho was cold. I’m not too sure if that was due to me getting takeout or if they had not heated anything up that day. They didn’t tell me anything ahead of time so I think that’s a little odd to me. You would serve someone cold soup, even though they want to takeout at least without telling them first. Hee Nevertheless, the mango salad, stirfry dish, and Pho all tasted delicious once everything was heated up to the right temperature! We loved our food and I am happy. This location is still around!!

They dont wash the dishes they serve spring rolls in for sure. The coffee was not Vietnamese afaik. Things are very fresh though.

Went there at 7:20pm, was told takeout only. Many people came afterwards, should definitely put up a sign. Food was average, had stomach issues afterwards.

This place has gone downhill. Food is salty and taste artificial. Place is dirty and the restroom is bad too with no soap. There is absolutely so service, you have to repeat your request multiple times with literally everything.
