Hooz Donuts

My new go to donut shop! I called a day in advance to order three dozen donuts for my students. When I arrived, the order was ready and the owners were kind and efficient. My kids loved the donuts and asked for more! The donut that I tried, was very tasty, it was the blueberry doughnut, I believe- highly recommend. Also, they do, accept card!

Delicious donuts. But I'm giving Hooz 5 stars for the service. I'm from San Jose but currently living in Portland. Came in to order donuts. I didn't realize it was cash only. I didn't have cash on me. The young lady who was helping me said I callus take the donuts and pay next time. I told her I wasn’t coming back anytime soon because I was from out of town. She ended up giving me the donuts. What a great experience.

Under new management but still serving the best donuts around. They've added a ton of coffees and sandwiches to the menus so options are plentiful. It also used to be all cash but they now offer tap to pay which is great news for the kids

I am so happy we stopped here to pick up Christmas donuts. The woman that helped me was so so nice and just kind and sweet. I picked out a nice dozen donuts and they were absolutely delicious, everyone loved them. Will definitely recommend and go back here

I've been visiting Hooz Donuts 2-3 times a week since discovering it. It opens at 4AM and stays open til 2-4PM. AND BEST OF ALL-They have a variety of French Donuts( I do not insult this style donut by calling it a Cruller. It's such a delicate and moist delicacy that the name Cruller is such an insult,I refuse to use it..)

When I was growing up in San Jose, quality little donut shops like this used to be everywhere, but most have disappeared as store rents have skyrocketed. I’m so glad this little gem is still here! The store is like a walk back into my childhood - complete with all the classic donut flavors my family would always get 30 years ago. Buttermilk Old Fashioned all the way, baby! Not to mention everything is DELICIOUS. Consider me a new regular! :)

I’m so confused by anything less than 5 stars and even think some postings are about the wrong location... I’ve come to this place for about 10 years and it’s always the two Asian brothers running the place. I don’t know what magical stuff they make their apple fritters out of but they are different...real crispy outside, super soft gooey inside and by a mile the best donut on earth! I moved to Tacoma Wa a few years ago and the first stop when coming back home to visit was Hooz...the guy freakin remembered me and what I like to order, even while wearing a mask! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Hooz always has a great donut selection and as well as a yummy sandwich menu as well! Good pricing, and always get a positive experience with them.

Hands down, some of the best donuts I've ever had. Extra crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside — and the fillings actually taste like what they're supposed to. Nothing overly sweet of artificial. You can tell they care about quality here. Coffee's fine — just your standard cup. Totally drinkable, but with donuts this good, I kind of wish the coffee stood out more. Still, it's a solid stop for a quick breakfast or mid-morning pick-me-up. I'll definitely be back — next time, probably grabbing a dozen to take to the office.

The person who helped us was very helpful and welcoming. His friendly attitude made us feel welcomed. The donuts at 7pm were fresh and a large selection to choose from. Not crowded at 7pm. Shop was clean. Prices were reasonable and much better than some other overpriced places.

Has the best Apple Fritter in San Jose, no doughy parts inside and the exterior is krunchy. The glaze is just enough. Will try a different dough nut next time maybe a crawler

Service is good but smoothies lack flavor and it’s dirty (makes me consider the cleanliness of your dishes, equipment, etc.), freezing cold, and just lacks a welcoming atmosphere. I forgot to mention there is always something “out of stock”. With that being said I have to ask why does it take soooo long to throw a couple things in a blender and present me with a flavorless smoothie??? Probably won’t return.
