love this Starbucks! I was trying to order a special complicated drink which is popular on instagram and was worried about troubling the staff here. It turned out the staff here were very friendly and willing to try. I ordered two of the same drinks and the baristas here (Emily and Shaa) gladly made them to PERFECTION. They also had a humorous vibe and we loved the visit! (Ps. Don’t forget to tip if you are ordering complicated drink. :D)
Great new location for Starbucks that takes app orders. Placed near city hall in the heart of downtown. Quick service and amicable staff. Very clean store.

This is the only Starbucks that 99% of the time gives me the water on my profile. And everyone’s nice. It’s the closest Starbucks to me on the way to work. It’s downtown so it can get busy in the morning, and I’m usually in a hurry and this Starbucks has been good to me. :)
Every morning, I look forward to getting my espresso. The workers know me already so it feels like family, I just feel so welcomed. The pastries are always perfectly warm. 10/10 best Starbucks in town.
Love going to this store! Service is great and fast! But I won’t be going back until the strike is resolved. I might not go back at all if the workers aren’t treated well.
My partner and I go to this Starbucks location often to work or read because of its pleasant ambience. The staff here is very friendly and nice! Especially Isaiah who goes out of his way to make sure we get our drinks or food if there’s been a mistake in the system.
This is the friendliest and best store I’ve ever been to! They always greet me when I come in and my drink is always tasty
I want to thank the team who were working the morning shift today 1/28/2025. I didn't know they closed the Starbucks next to San Pedro and walked to the E. Santa Clara one instead. I was like a block away from the E. Santa Clara Starbucks and I put in a mobile order. I assumed it would pick the Starbucks close to me, but instead it picked the city hall Starbucks. I know I should have checked closer on the app and it's my fault, though I'm not sure why it would order one further away, but the E. Santa Clara team did me right by honoring my order at their shop. I walked half a mile to get to this Starbucks, and I would have had to walk an additional half mile to get my coffee and a mile home.

someone please make this make sense. I walk in and I see signs all over the place for their 50% off after Christmas sale. As you can see in the attached picture, there is a sign below the shelf stating “50% off holiday gifts”. Now, you would assume that a cute Starbucks ornament would be considered a holiday gift right? guess again! Imagine my surprise when I get to the register and the barista tells me that the ornament is not part of the 50% off sale. Neither is the mug. If they were, they would’ve rung up automatically. Now at this point I’m just really confused. I ask him to walk over and read the signage together. It says “50% off holiday gifts”, does it not??? So why is the ornament placed right above it not part of it?! Same thing with the glass mug right next to a 50% off sign 😤. The barista is very apologetic and admits that the signage is confusing. however, he elaborates that prices are set by corporate management and they have no control over the prices individually, not even to override or adjust prices for customers. He tells me that they have different lines of merchandise and the ornament and mug I selected are not part of the holiday line. if I really want to get these items for half off, I can come back when his manager comes in on Monday afternoon and ask her to potentially adjust the prices for me. I understand that the baristas have no control over the prices, but still there really should be a policy in place to empower employees to compensate customers for their trouble, over the very misleadingly labeled merchandise. I can’t be the only one who’s had to walk away empty handed and disappointed. Thanks for nothing Brian Nichols!
As you can see from the attached pic, order specifically states "Light Ice," but as the photo shows, this drink came in a cup that was MORE THAN 50% ice; in fact, more like 60%+ ice. Very disappointing experience.

This is a very busy Starbucks in downtown San Jose across the street from City Hall. I’m familiar with the baristas is dealing with all types of stuff, with the houseless community coming in and lots of different wild ordeals. I am extra kind when coming in, as I am a regular here. today is Red Cup Day and I did not appreciate how a worker very loudly said to her coworker “They NEVER make it easy for us here” just because I asked for a bag. She already spoke to me like I’m super difficult just for asking for a bag and the special cups. I’m literally walking in the rain and carrying multiple drinks. I came in very early the morning one hour after opening to a pretty empty shop. they did not put my drink in the holiday cup even though I ordered a holiday drink. No big deal, I don’t mind advocating for myself. But I don’t appreciate how she’s saying that I’m not making things any easier for her when it is the corporate protocol on this day to put holiday drinks in red cups when available, and there was a HUGE amount sitting next to my mobile order. I literally come here all of the time and will tip, but today no. I always see a barista mad at somebody here, and I’m generous with tipping regardless but I’m not going to put in that effort now moving forward.
After purchasing they ask me if I purchase to used the restroom, very un professional after spending $54 for 5 coffees and cake pops.

Today on Monday July 28th after purchase two large extra hot lattes with oat milk and no foam. Me and my friend went outside. After we finished our coffee we came back and asked for code to use restroom. It was around 4:00 - 4:15 pm 2 male looking employees refused to gave us restroom code and were very rude to us. No more Starbucks
I used to go to the store every afternoon during my lunch break to buy a cup to kill time for an hour. But twice, a woman who looked like the store manager always interrupted me and asked me what was wrong? Another time, she was even more extreme, asking me if I was waiting for someone, and if not, she asked me to leave the store??? What's wrong with this woman? Is she discriminating against Asians? What a rubbish clerk, I never want to go into this store again!

Came all the way from Sacramento with my family. We were really in need to use the restroom after which we were going to sit and drink coffee and buy other snacks. The female barrister was so rude and unprofessional saying we have to purchase first than they can give is code for the bathroom. She also said what's up to greet which was so unprofessional .I asked the barrister nicely please let us use than we will purchase but she refused ,I said you are so wrong and unprofessional. While I was still standing there the manager came and asked us to leave saying I used the" B" word .I reassured the manager I never said that my wife also said I didn't said that but they still ask us to leave .We understand their policy is that they can refuse service but this is so unfair I feel like we were racially discriminated .Please if the store manager is reading this I want this incident fully investigated .It was so embarrassing my whole family were sent out of the shop .We are very decent and honest people and this has never happened to us . If I was wrong than I would have taken my fault but this is so unfair .
Terrible experience at this Starbucks. First, there is no parking, and it took me forever to find a spot. When I finally arrived, I desperately needed to use the bathroom. There were only two people in line, so I approached the counter to ask for the bathroom code. I spoke to a girl with curly hair and a guy named joke or I don’t remember what is his name , explaining that it was urgent, that I really couldn’t hold it anymore. She looked me up and down and simply said I had to buy something first. I pleaded with her, explaining it was an emergency, and her response was just a cold look with zero empathy. Not even a “give me a moment” or “go ahead and use the bathroom, then come back to order.” Nothing. The lack of humanity and empathy in that moment was unbelievable. When someone is in a basic human need situation, the last thing they are thinking about is buying something. This Starbucks not only left me with a bad impression, but it made it clear that customer service is not their priority. I definitely won’t be coming back.
When I go in store the barrista ignores me until someone else is in line and when I mobile order my order is always messed up and I am tired of talking to customer service now I will talk directly to the store supervisor
Don’t come here for the customer service. We just ordered and paid. We went to use the restroom just to find out we had to get a code. We asked one of the employees, she advised only the cashier can provide that. It was obvious we had ordered and paid as there were only a few customers in at the time. Then had to wait because the cashier had two customers in line. Might be a minor issue. But it also takes little effort to assist a customer in need. Time was Sunday. Late morning. 6 employees.
Barista don't care about customer service. One drink is out of stock since many days
