Alright, so I've been around the galaxy a few times. I enjoy a good cocktail in the far reaches. There's another one that I love with a live droid DJ, but they've got this giant humanoid mouse that charges a heckuva cover. Not here. I had a few sweet blue beverage & a burger and it hit the spot. Staff, atmosphere, all wonderful. LLAP, Bright Suns, all that jazz.
This is such a cool place! The atmosphere is exquisite. The staff were friendly and seemed happy to be there. I reccomend the twin sunrise.
The bar out of Star Wars A New Hope which was the first movie produced in the series. Even had the tune playing at times as in the movie. Sorry droids aren't welcome. Or maybe they will be in real life when they accompany a patron one of these days in the late 2020's. A nice stroll or robot taxi ride down the Walk of Fame brings you to that bar with reasonably priced microbrews and mixed drinks on offer.
Writing as a tourist, not a regular, though I get the impression the regulars have really built a fabulous community here I came on a weird day because Kevin Smith was in there recording a podcast, which may or may not be a selling point to you. I would like to return on a normal day, but Kevin Smith was entertaining. The interior really is striking, from the LCAR screens in the front room, to the meticulous recreation of the mos eisly cantina in the main room. Keep your eyes open, there are Easter eggs everywhere from across the nerdy spectrum. The specialty cocktails/mocktails are good, and balance gimmick and flavor. The food is only fine, but they fully admitted that to Kevin Smith while recording their podcast. Will aim to return the next time I'm in LA.
Had a great time inside. As a fan of sci-fi I loved every aspect of the place. Bartender Mikayla was very friendly and really a nice she was very helpful and a real pleasant to talk to.
I couldn't give 5 stars on food because I didn't try any, but it all looked good. Inside is smaller than I expected, but that wasn't bad. I actually liked that it wasn't a big place. Just like a small bar, directly from a galaxy far, far away. I threw me off when my bartender was dressed like a Disney prince, but they accept all nerds, not just us star wars nerds. The drinks were pretty good, and they do a little show while making them.
We stopped in here for a couple drinks, I heard about it a while ago, but fell on it accidentally while walking along Hollywood Blvd. The atmosphere was amazing, lots of nerdy things to see and look at while you are having a drink. We didn't have any food, but it looked good from what we saw. The staff was super friendly. It wasn't crazy busy while we were there, but there were quite a few tables.
We were walking and saw a few people standing outside this place and decided to check it out. The music they play isn’t necessarily what I listen to so I was hesitant. I am so glad I came here. The staff is sooo nice and all the staff are in a good mood. Their drinks are so creative and the bartender is very fast. Their drinks were super good. They had a live DJ which had INSANE skills it was awesome. Drinks were not cheap but reasonable and worth it. I came in on the 15th and the staff that was working around 12am deserve a round of applause. Will definitely be coming back. 10/10.
Quite a cool and unique place to get a drink. The atmosphere is so next level, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is attentive. I can't find any reason to dislike this place. Overall, it's a really chill place and very niche in the best kind of way. If you are into any kind of sci-fi and are looking to unwind, this place should be on your radar.
Scum & Villainy Cantina is an absolute blast and a must-visit for any sci-fi or pop culture fan! From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stepped into another galaxy. The atmosphere is immersive, the decor is on point, and the vibes are just pure fun. The staff really adds to the experience—super friendly, dressed in character, and clearly passionate about what they do. The drinks are creative, themed, and delicious, and the music and lighting totally complete the experience. It’s the kind of place where you can geek out, meet other fans, and just enjoy yourself in a laid-back, welcoming environment. Whether you’re going with friends, on a date, or flying solo, this place is an unforgettable time. Highly recommend it for locals and tourists alike—you won’t find another bar like it in LA!
This cantina is adorable and great for all of those who like Star Wars, heroes, villains and fantasy. The drinks are themed to iconic movies, characters, film/tv, heroes , for instance… True Blood orange margarita, Fantastic Four fizz, Brooklyn Boy Scout, Second Breakfast, Twin Sunrise, StayPuff Martini, Mind Trick and Mangolorian; which were some favorite drinks. Also when a drink is ordered for instance the Stay Puff Martini, a clip of the movie with music comes out on the screen and everyone sings “Ghost Busters.” The drink and food prices are average at a bar and there is a great menu. The staff dresses in characters like at a comic convention and are pleasant to be around and are professional at their job. The cantina reminds me of the cantina in Disneyland. The cantina is decorated with great and famous characters from , Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Star Wars, etc. It is fun to be able to dress casually or in theme; great for celebrations, a date, with friends, or by yourself. The parking is either on the streets, parking garage, parking lot or metered. It is accessible to all for dining. The menu has something for everyone. It is a must to visit and be able to relax.
My family had a wonderful time stopping in for a bite to eat and drinks before a show. The burger, fries and fish & chips were all excellent, and I had both the blue milk and stay puff cocktails, which were also fantastic! Really enjoyed the atmosphere, I felt like I was in the Star Wars Cantina, with lots of props and memorabilia. The service was pleasant as well. Easy to order via your phone and have it brought right to the booth.
I stopped here on the 1st day of my visit from SC with my friends who live here. The food is great, the drinks are very creative and taste great. Everything about this place is positive. The team who works there is friendly and attentive. The Cosmoe karaoke is a blast ( and some of the team members can really sing!) The decorations to go with the theme and are so fun. I loved it. Even the guests who came to eat / drink were positive and fun and everyone commented on how great the atmosphere is.
wow this bar was magical, great service and so quick. Felt like I entered a new world!
Brought my son here for his 8th birthday as he is a big star wars fan. Food was okay, fish and chips were soggy... Onion rings were decent. Wish the music was themed to star wars (or other geeky themes) but was regular rock.. not bad just not what I had hoped for. Slightly small venue, but plenty of seating. You order for yourself through the QR code page. So service is limited.. b Basically, it's really cute, but dont expect Disney level detailing.. and be prepared to park and walk, I parked in a $15 parking area around the corner bc there was NO PARKING.
All your nerdy dreams come true in the middle of Hollywood. Dine in an out of space / outer space world. You feel like you’ve stepped in Ogas cantina from Star Wars. Sci fi and fantasy drinks, food and decor from your favorite movies adorn the walls and menu. We were so excited that they even sold a combo special with a choice of entree and drink. Of course we chose a burger and blue milk! Can’t wait to go back with more friends to enjoy being immersed.
Our friends had been here before and we were up to see a play so we decided to stop by on Father's Day. They didn't have all of the lights on inside but I liked the vibe as it wasn't noisy and very much had a dive bar feel. We ordered food and drinks. The blue champagne was a great deal at $40 a bottle. We also had the queso dip and chips and loaded tots. Harley Quinn was also very good. My husband and I were the only ones that ate the dip and unfortunately we got food poisoning from it. We had only had breakfast that morning but had different plates and this was the only thing we had that was the same. Around midnight we both started having terrible stomach pains and eventually threw up. I hate leaving something like this in a review but keeping food to temp is really important so things like this do not happen. I would go back to this bar and have a drink but would skip the food.
Place looked so cool & fit the Star Wars vibe people dressed up and went hard and it was awesome to see but as a non local you can tell it was a very local spot with people who go there all the time. The decor was great and we got there around 11 pm parking was nearly impossible to find and the parking lots were charging $20+ to park. There weren’t any tables when we go there so we went to the bar to get a drink and I was standing there waiting for about 10 mins before I even got asked what I wanted and the bar wasn’t even busy there was one guy when I first walked up and then another walked up next to me and got served before me which I thought was really annoying since it was very obvious I was there waiting longer bc like I said only 3 people waiting at the bar lol. The drinks were good though and we walked towards the front and found a place to sit and talk and it was a good vibe but I probably wouldn’t go back. If you’re into cosplay it’s the perfect spot for you though!! It is small but a good spot.
For a Star Wars cantina, I was honestly pretty underwhelmed. Crazy good location on Hollywood Blvd, and it really had a lot of buzz around it, but there was a TON of real estate on the walls that they have not capitalized on, and it left me pretty underwhelmed. They did have a shelf behind the bar with a few trinkets from other fandoms, but not very many. And not a single item from Mass Effect! The drinks were solid, the recipes of the drinks clever as hell, and the service was top tier, but they really didn't go as hard as they could in the fandom.
Me and my wife saw this passing on Hollywood Walk of Fame and as we were hungry, decided to give it a go. Food: My wife got the Mac and Cheese as it seemed to be the only vegetarian option, and I had to ask for it without bacon. Drink: Gin of a Killer I ordered the spiced beef tacos and we got a side of onion rings to share. Drink: Bock to the Future. The food was absolute mediocre at best. The Mac and cheese sauce was watery, the onion rings had the thinnest batter on them and the tacos were ok but not exactly very hot. The drinks weren’t anything special and this is meant to be a geek themed restaurant but except from the layout, it’s nothing different to everywhere else. Service: You can order by table or at the counter, however at the table QR code would NOT work with a travel card. Food was served pretty quickly, no complaints there. Atmosphere: It had good music playing and the decor is cool. Overall: Honestly wouldn’t recommend or waste your time or money on this place. It’s a shame as I’d love to hype this up but unless you want mediocre food at best, I would avoid.
I came here on a date. This place was highly recommended since a group of friends had been here 2 years ago. Unfortunately we made the mistake of ordering food first. You have to prepay. There is no service. So it's not as if you can ask questions about the food or drinks menu. Everything is through a QR code. We ordered Boromir's Fish Tacos and Atlantis Fish and Chips. Both said to be made with mahi-mahi. Instead we got Aquaman's Dick and Chips. We were served what seemed like fried Cod. The tacos were mahi-mahi and the only redeeming dish. We wanted to try the food first before ordering alcoholic drinks. We ordered fountain drinks and they were flat. The waitress told us their machine was on the fritz. So instead received Arrowhead bottled water. We had already pre-paid $4 per soda, mind you, so no refund. Bless her heart but she didn't seem to care. My date was disappointed since her last experience was anything but that. It's a neat spot. But it doesn't stick to the Star Wars theme much. You have Pokémon, Kirby, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Ghost Buster themed food and drinks. Stick to a theme. Places that cater to nerd culture are hard to find and this place was a let down. More like the live action Epic movie from 2007. The staff overall were friendly. A lot of the 4-5 star reviews, felt misleading also. Our experienced sucked unfortunately.
Came to check it out for my girlfriend’s birthday because she loves Star Wars, it was our first time here, the bartender Josh was really rude for no reason. We were at the bar looking at the drink menu to order, he told us to move over, so we did. When we were ready to order, we waited at the counter, (there was a sign that said “off busying ghost be back soon”) which we read and waited patiently. Josh then comes back to tell me “ if you’re looking to order then read the sign” and then walk off as if I hadn’t already read the sign. Really rude for no reason, it was my girlfriends and i’s first time here and it was not a great experiences, really disappointed. Won’t be coming back.
