Foods here are really delicious. Its kind of fast food fusion style. vegetables that go along with dish are so fresh and premium quality. We normally eat Pho and pork chops rice. But today we eat shaking beef and parmesan fries and its shocking delicious.
This place is always consistent and fresh! I always get the “Hot Garlic Grilled Chicken”. To die for! :)
The portion was huge even for teen boys and the pho, the grilled pork, the pork ribs and spring rolls were all authentically delicious. The owner even made sure the food presentation was on par with a sit-down restaurant although this place is a fast casual. Just delicious and what a gem!
This was my first time and it was incredible! The shrimp Pho was fantastic and a huge portion! The pork ribs were so flavorful, cooked perfectly and the veggies were so good. We all had smoothies and they were fantastic too! My husband has traveled extensively and eaten lots of Vietnamese food and he said this place was so good and very authentic! We will definitely be back!
A very creative way to make Vietnamese cuisine as fast food togo. The ambience was fresh and clean. Super friendly staffs and tasty foods. Look like they are the only Vietnamese cuisine restaurant around this place and they meant serious business here. Portion was large and especially the Pho was tasty as they definitely use high-quality beef here. Sharky beef and grill chicken were also well seasoned. Bring your friend and family to here Asap.
We found the place via Google on our way home to Ventura. We came with skepticism from the word “fusion “ and left with a happy tummy and being wowed. My husband’s hot lemongrass pork ribs were perfectly seasoned and tender. My hot garlic chicken was just right and I could tell how fresh the vegetables were. I also fell in love with their spicy sauce. Hopefully we will be able to come back whenever we head up North for a visit
We stopped by @ bites for a quick meal and were very happy with the experience! We ordered beef pho, chicken pho, fried seafood balls, garlic lemon shrimp, and fruity in da pine smoothie. The food came quickly and was delicious—we were especially pleased with the pho, as the broth was balanced and not too salty which we liked. Service was also very friendly!
WOWOWOW! What an amazing place to get some absolutely fabulous Vietnamese food! At Bites gives you many options, all prepared with super fresh ingredients with flavors so varied and deep with fresh herbs and spices all served quickly and with great service. And, the prices were so reasonable. To top everything off, I was serenaded a Happy Birthday by the restaurant staff and presented with a s'mores brownie cake! At Bites will be on our "must go" list every time we visit San Luis Obispo again!
Love love love the pho! Of any flavor. They serve with hoysen sirracha and sweet Chilli sauce. You get a ton of food for $10-$16 Must try the egg rolls. I have yet to try the smoothies or specialty drinks. But I'm very excited to try the Thai tea!
A lot of Vietnamese yummies. Seats are spacious. Dishes are served quite quickly and prices are quite reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Delicious Thai tea. Their bahn mis come on freshly baked bread. (Only reason food wasn't a 5 star the pork bologna wasn't to my taste.) Will come again.

As someone who loves pho, I was happy to find this place open and offering pho! The pho satisfied my cravings but isn't necessarily the best I have ever had (slim pickings for pho in the SLO area). I also liked their avocado smoothie and thought the spring rolls were ok. I will be back here for more pho.
One of the best choices you could make when you’re feeling a little under the weather (or anytime really). I’ve been stuck at home with the flu and the beef pho really hit the spot. Not to mention, the delivery service was incredibly fast- My eggrolls were still crunchy. You can’t beat @Bites’ service and their attention to detail. Their to-go packaging on the pho is absolutely perfect, and the basil that came with it felt like it was freshly picked. All around- highly highly recommended!
Friendly staff and quick service. The tofu banh mi is a cheap and delicious vegetarian option. You really can't find a better meal for 10 bucks in SLO. The restaurant is clean and the environment is nice, low key music and you can see straight into the kitchen.

My girlfriend and I decided to give this place a shot as it looked good online. Went in and received welcoming service. The food is reasonably priced, tastes great, and fresh. In construction there's a saying speed quality or price pick two as no one gets em all yet this restaurant nailed all three. This is our new regular spot.
All is okay really. Not bad but not incredibly amazing either. Prices are pretty good its not stupid expensive, portions are good. Lots of meat in the beef pho. Chicken plate is loaded and they give a good portion of rice unlike most places. Even down south.

I ordered the chicken pho - their broth has definitely gotten better over the years of being here as before it was way too sweet (too much rock sugar or cinnamon?) but now it’s bearable. The chicken is very dry though and tastes overcooked. For the price not worth it but since it’s the only pho place nearby they have the advantage. But when I can I’ll just go to pho in atascerdo or Santa Maria or back in LA. This is ok if u rlly craving it
The garlic butter fried rice was the best thing we had here. Absolutely delicious! The fried chicken was decent, but the Banh Mi was sub par. We were looking forward to that the most. If they used a different bread, then maybe it would be a little better. The pork belly is definitely not what I'm used to getting. It was rubbery almost. The ones from Sacramento have an amazing crunch to the pork belly so they could definitely be improved there! Other than that the smoothies were great and the meal was decent. Will try just the Pho next time with tons of that amazing rice!

I was really excited to try the Shaking Beef based off of others' reviews. I also ordered the garlic rice. It comes with a generous pint portion of plain rice, so you don't need to order rice. I wish they would let you upgrade to garlic rice for an extra $2-3 or something because I don't need the plain rice. Sadly, I was disappointed. Something was missing. The flavor was actually bland. The presentation was good. There were generous potions of rice, veggies, and I like the amount of sauce, but it didn't really have flavor. I don't understand how you could make a dish that has soy sauce, fish sauce, and oyster sauce and it taste bland? Maybe they are using vegan products? I got more flavors from the onions than the sauce. The meat was tender, but also not flavorful. So sad that I cannot give it a better review. I forgot to snap a photo at the beginning, so this is half eaten with garlic rice added to cover the gap.
One of my Vietnamese family members who tagged along with us to eat at @Bites said she could tell this place was authentic. If this is authentic, I don’t think I like authentic. I ordered a beef pho. It was in the typical price range, about $16-$17, which was good, so I thought. It came out hot, with some sauce and vegetables on the side. I’ll start off with things I enjoyed: the soup was up to my standards. That’s kind of it. The noodles were small, the meat was too cooked for my tastes, I didn’t like the vegetables, and the sriracha was offbrand and didn’t taste good nor was it as spicy as I’d hoped. I’m used to Vietnamese restaurants having those bottles of branded sriracha at every table, so having to ask the front for more sriracha packets at the front was unsual. I couldn’t finish my pho. I usually bring my leftover pho with me, but I no longer had an appetite for it. The atmosphere confused me a bit. It felt more like a fast food spot, with the soda machine and the generic theming and the cheap disposable utensils and sauces. If you have the appearance and quality of a fast food joint, then why are you charging actual restaurant prices? Overall, there was little to enjoy at @Bites. At least the employees were nice. 2/5.
Feel like your coffee from this place is all ice? A bit appalled by the amount of liquid actually in this drink when served without ice. C’mon, guys.

This WAS our Favorite place to eat. We drive 30 min to order the same thing all the time. We thought they were always nice. We went tonight and ordered the shaking beef like we always do with extra sauce and extra meat and we always pay the extra money for the extra. Today when I got home, we went to try to eat it, and lt was completely inedible. The meat was so chewy and was all fat we could not eat it. We always have been under the assumption that it was filet mignon. The website even says that it is filet mignon. As you can see in the picture, it is definitely not filet mignon. When I called and I brought this up to the manager, she said that we always call and complain And that they have our name in the phone as” The people who always complain”. I could not believe that she admitted this to me. I just can’t even believe how incredibly rude that is and it makes me wonder how many times did we order from them? With them, calling us, the people who always like to complain 🤔 I have only called one other time in five years of eating there to complain about the exact same problem. I even told them that their website says that the food is supposed to be filet mignon. And they said that they changed it from filet mignon a long time ago because the filet mignon was too expensive. But yet they never changed the price they gave customers cheaper meat!!!! They never told us at that time that they changed the meat from filet mignon. They just gave me a refund that time (a year ago) and apologized. If they change the meat and it wasn’t filet mignon anywhere, they could’ve just told us that and we would’ve never kept going there. I’ve always been completely nice to them. I even tip very good to them. So to be treated like this is just completely horrible. I asked them for a refund. They refuse to give me a refund. They told me that I need to drive it there. I told him that I live 30 minutes away and that I promise them that I will never Go back there again. They still refuse. Good thing I paid with My American Express. REFUND PENDING FROM AMEX!! Always pay with your credit card!! FOR THIS EXACT REASON!!
