The country diner

What an experience. We showed up at 7 kinda put off thinking they weren’t open. But they unlocked the doors and we got the eat with our kiddos uninterrupted. Phenomenal homemade gravy. They went above and beyond for us as we had two kids so they made an even amount of bacon and pancakes for the kiddos. We really enjoyed this place. Even for being a small establishment this place is well worth visiting. Definitely made this area which we are visiting more enjoyable.

I will be back here often! Best food I've had. Better than my home cooked meals. I hope everyone tries Barbra's Kuntry Kitchen Family Restaurant! You Want regret it!

Food was very good. Service was a little slow (only one waitress) but she was friendly. There were daily specials. Other customers were quite social, and remarked how fond they were of this restaurant. We prefer local establishments over national names. We had a BLT and an omelet. The fried potatoes were unique. They had been parboiled first, and then deep fried. So some of the skins that had boiled off were nice and crunchy. We are in the area for vacation, but will go back before we head back home.

On our way home from Ana Maria Island we looked for a breakfast place; kountry Kitchen was the closest place and I no regrets stopping. Recommend 5 star

After swim lessons our family likes to go there for lunch. The food is consistent and our favorite dishes are the Club, poachrd eggs and Grilled Cheese. If you like real Turkey, the Club is for you!

Delicious food and wonderful wait staff! If you want a great burger, scrumptious fries, and and ice cold Stella this is the place to go. There breakfast is served all day long and is just as good. One of our local inexpensive favorites! Good hearted people too who make sure your drinks are full!

The food and atmosphere is just like an upscale restaurant in The keys. Very home-based and family values are clearly evident with this little best kept secret. The French toast is made with a Portuguese vanilla sweet bread and Italian off the charts , also tried the liver and onion with mashed potatoes and my husband had the Kountry Chef Salad and it was ginormous Keep up the good food. Well be back for damn sure. Love the staff answer the new owners. They make us feel better than family. It keeps ya coming back!

My daughter and I were thrifting in this neck of the woods when I decided we would stop for lunch. We had seen this restaurant over many years, but decided to finally go in today rather than a bigger type restaurant. I’m glad we did! The servers treat you endearingly and the food is phenomenal. I loved the casual setting and the other patrons were mostly retirees and couriers. I would definitely recommend this place! The fried green tomatoes were exquisite!

It was nice having a homemade country breakfast. My wife and I came down on 9/20/24 from Hudson to buy a camper. We stayed the weekend and came across this nice country kitchen. It's now Barbara's Country Kitchen.

1000/10 love this place and the staff 1 of my favorite spots quite but busy lil family place great food always made just th way I like (I can be difficult ) tism.. always get country fried steak 😋 tender and crispy with the best white gravy eggs over med always perfect cheese grits and toast good amount of food for a great price hubby changes up all the time but never had anything bad highly recommend 😋 👌 😀

This place is a small town Diner. The food is all fast, homemade and no frills. Paper napkins on the table, silverware in paper baggie. The staff is friendly and just regular folk. If you want to be reminded what the real America is like, have breakfast here. Coffee could be better, but it’s not bad for mass brewed coffee. Plus I lived in Seattle for 4 years, so coffee is often an area of criticism from me. You won’t be hungry when you leave this greasy spoon, I promise. Worth a try if you don’t have a lot of time and want a big breakfast.

Small classic breakfast restaurant. They also offer lunch and dinner if you are interested. The food is good home style and the portions a plenty large (come hungry). Prices fair and staff helpful. Only knocks are it's in an odd place and it's pretty small. Breakfast places are traditionally super busy, so you might turn up and not get a seat.

It's a small local diner. The food was good, but it could be improved. Service was fair, as it wasn't terribly busy on a Sunday morning after church let out. WE may give this place another try. Service and food could be elevated to the next level to get those booths filled!

This was a great locals place to go. Super friendly wait staff who seem to know everyone. Their food was good, similar to one of our favorite restaurants from back in Washington state. Nice to find a locals restaurant that has good food for reasonable prices and creates a small town feel in a big town.

The food is simple and good. Management has fixed a few cosmetic issues from before but this is by far not an upscale restaurant. Building looks like an old gas station as the bathrooms are located in back and are accessible only by going outside. You don't have to carry a key attached to a tire iron though.

We came here for brunch and were pretty disappointed. My husband ordered chocolate chip pancakes and they came out regular pancakes with a bowl of chocolate chips on the side. I ordered the chipotle burger and fries, I was given onion rings instead of fries. My burger was very good but the overall experience not so much. the table was very stick and the menus were dirty, the place can use a good deep cleaning. They were not busy at all so the mistakes were confusing to us. Wouldn't go back.

Should have went to Denny's, they were short staffed and we had a server that was new. She was very nice; but forgot my husband's biscuit and gave my sister a plain pancake when she ordered a blueberry pancake. If you like your sausage patties crispy, then you'll like theirs. My sister ordered a breakfast sandwich to go and 15 min later she came back to our table and asked my sister what she ordered again.

We stopped here on a recommendation from a friend. The food was OK but this place needs a good clean and a new dishwasher. I went through several packs of their silverware in order to find one that did not have caked on food stuck to knife, fork or spoon. I found it hard to eat my food. The worst though was some older lady that worked in the kitchen was talking to the people next to us and talked constantly and loudly about her anti vaxx stance and her refusal to wear a mask and covid it really put me off my food . We don't think we would ever eat here again. Lots of workers standing around talking about t shirts (?) and personal matters etc. They would be better served cleaning. Took 1 hour for our food to arrive

The prices listed online were definitely out dated. Basic menu and taste, nothing special. Prices were a bit high. The customer service was wonderful. Seated ourselves immediately. Parking was easy. They definitely try to make the ambiance pleasant.

We went in at 5 for dinner. We had been there in the past. When we ordered we were told they were “out” of French fries. 🤔 it took a full hour to get our orders. 🤔🤔 Our orders came out lukewarm and mediocre. Used to be a decent place but obviously has gone downhill over the past 6 months or so. We will not be returning. Also the floors had trash all over. Not acceptable. 👎

In town visiting and just wanted to get some good breakfast before hitting the road. My family and I waited 45 minutes to be told our food was just beginning to be cook due to ticket issue. Three tables that came in after us was served their food and my family was just sitting there getting served refills. Felt very uncomfortable and profiled being we were the only minority (black) in at the time. I really thought I just had enter a place that had a sign saying whites only and we missed the memo on the way in. I thought times had changed but I guess not!

A little hole in the wall yes.. My family and I have never tried so we decided to try it.. Waited 15 for it.. The food was ok.. But the building is very hole.. Holes in the ceiling where water wad leaking down.. Water all over the floor where is was leaking.. The booth we sat in a there was a big open space in the wall.. My opinion they need to be shut down..
