Paseábamos por San Sebastián y decidimos entrar a comer en el Restaurante Kaskazuri, y acertamos. La atención por parte del personal fue buena, el ambiente acompañaba. La comida estaba muy buena y relación calidad precio muy aceptable. Si estás por San Sebastian te lo recomiendo.

Comida muy rica en cuanto al menú diario de 33€, a entender por el servicio, vistas y calidad. Los postres dejaban que desear.

Cada vez que vamos a Donosti y queremos comer en algún sitio, nuestro elegido es Kaskazuri. Tienen un menú de semana (33€) que está súper bien en relación calidad-precio. Todo está riquísimo y la calidad del producto se nota. El plato estrella para nosotros es el lomo de salmón con cous cous y alioli de ajo negro… espectacular. Y las vistas que tiene son increíbles. Si llamas para reservar, acuérdate de pedir mesa junto a la ventana para comer con vistas al mar.

With many of the Michelin restaurants beyond our budget, Kaskaxuri delivered an excellent experience for a very reasonable cost. Lovely upper dining room overlooking the ocean, staff patient with our limited Spanish and above all fantastic food! Our special menu provided 3 entrees, a main course, selection of desserts, wine and coffee for just 42euros each. What more can you expect?!

Located in a prime spot near the coast and the old town, making it easily accessible for both tourists and locals. While you don’t get direct sea views from the restaurant, the location is still excellent for a post-meal stroll along the water. The food is of very good quality, and what’s particularly impressive is the attention given to vegetarian diners. They carefully craft delicious and well-balanced vegetarian options. The dining experience leans towards classy and refined, though the atmosphere can be a bit lively at times. Service is attentive, and the overall experience is one of quality and care.

Excellent location by the SEA and tasty food. Staff and service were a compliment to this great restaurant. Daily menu, tasting menu, and a la cart dishes full of choices. We had fish soup and toasted rice integral for starters, salmon w/couscous and duck confit for main course and cheese cake and mango crumble for desert. Wine, water and coffee were also included in the very affordable price. Huge local crowds tell that this is a favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Make a reservation. We were lucky to be accommodated after a 20 minute wait. It was worth it.

What a fantastic and amazing little spot right by the sea! I don't think that the food can get any fresher or tastier! If you love seafood and an absolute banging cheesecake, you'll have to try this place out! The menu of the day is varied and very affordable for the quality of food that you are eating. The ambiance is very romantic and clean with an amazing view of the sea...wall! You won't really be able to look outside and see the sea fully but don't let it deter you. This place is fantastic, and the service is great! They are able to accommodate larger parties but call ahead as reservations are recommended to secure your spot. I would come here again whenever I visit for that delicious cheesecake!

Fantastic set / choice menus. Lots to eat for most carne or seafood eaters. A great venue for big parties. Some tables offer spectacular views when the sun is still out. Would recommend this place. Staff speaks very little English but just enough so you can comfortably order.

Para el precio que tiene el menú, no es nada del otro mundo, comida bastante sencilla y sin mucha gracia, por precios mas bajos tienes mejores menús en San Sebastián. El servicio fue muy bueno, éramos una mesa grande y los platos salían a buen ritmo y todos a la vez, cosas que es de agradecer. Local bonito, tal vez el mobiliario (sillas y mesas) un poco fuera de tono del estilo que ofrece el local. Esperábamos algo mas en términos generales.

The food was good, but after having so many great meals in San Sebastian over the week, here I felt like it was just a little below some of the other places I have been to, especially as this is not a cheap place. So I give this 4* as the food was good, but not excellent. The service was also regular, I had no complaints but also there was really nothing special about it to justify more stars.

Kaskazuri has excellent food, fair prices and amazing views of the Bay of Biscay. This place was recommended to us by a Basque friend who lives in Donostia. We had dinner—my wife and niece ordered from the menu and I ate ala carte—primarily because I wanted the grilled octopus plate. It was delicious, tender and tasty with a perfect crisp to the texture. It came atop a bed of thinly sliced potatoes. I started with a fresh shrimp salad and crispy cod croquettes. I was even comped a delicious starter plate of foie gras. Our server told me the manager knew I was spending a bit more with the ala carte selections and wanted to take care of me. This kind gesture, along with the rest of the first-class service, helped make for an overall great experience. We came for a Sunday dinner and I had made reservations online, which I recommend given the popularity of this restaurant.

Vistas preciosas y personal muy amable. Mala relación calidad precio, el emplatado es bonito pero la calidad de la materia prima tiene mucho que mejorar. El café esta malísimo. La limpieza.. eran las 2pm y el baño ya estaba que daba asco entrar.

Nice area for a restaurant, really close to the water with great sunset views. I came here reading lots of reviews about the whole restaurant concept, its quality and service, as well as the delicious food. I must say that overall I was not so impressed. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived but it became busier as the evening passed by. We chose the menu, giving us the opportunity to try 2 starters, one main course and a selection of desserts, all for 35 euro and alcoholic drink is included in the price. The price is not so high for all the dishes we would be about to receive and I am sure the quality of the produce is good but somehow they didn’t really manage to make anything stick out in taste or flavor. The dishes were either missing salt (and there is no salt on the table), desserts were really matching in taste (but looked completely different). The wine that was served with the food was good so that was the food dinner part. The service, I must say, was not so high class as I would have also expected. Once the restaurant started to be busier, they seem to get lost and overwhelmed. Bread was not on the able so they had to serve us when it would finish on our plates, but they forgot so we asked a couple of time for this. As well, I received completely different knife, not appropriate to my dish. I would say the restaurant is an experience which everyone could have but don’t go with high expectations, food is okay but it has some missing thing here and there.

Nos sentaron en el comedor de abajo, al lado de la pecera (que por cierto no le vendría mal una limpieza a fondo). El local se ve bien montado y es agradable, pero por ejemplo el rodapié de donde la pecera está completamente suelto y se cae si lo rozas sin querer (no afecta a la experiencia de la comida, lo sé, pero entre la suciedad de la pecera y esto otro, daba un poco sensación de dejadez, no sé). Optamos por el menú del día y casi todos los platos estaban correctos, salvo el salmón. Echaba un gusto muy raro, y aparte estaba seco como la mojama, así que lo dejamos casi sin probar porque no nos dio confianza. Igual es que tuvimos mala suerte porque ese día estaban hasta arriba de gente, pero íbamos con las expectativas altas y salimos un poco decepcionados...

The menu here looked good but unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations. The duck and sauce was barely warm and the monkfish had very little meat on it. Neither were served with any vegetables and only two thin slices of warm potato. There was a choice of two starters from a list of only three. We didn't fancy any of them particularly, so only chose one reluctantly. Quite disappointing overall. We were only shown the tasting menu and assume this was our only choice. Still remain none the wiser.

We have experienced this visit as completely dissatisfying: it was extremely loud, (bad acoustics) besides the first course the rest tasted like it was heated up, nothing that reminds of a good chef.…

The food could not have been more disappointing. I was so excited when my family planned this meal for my birthday, but everything fell flat. We were the only ones in the restaurant, while the staff was texting on their phones. The food was really disappointing , the salad was too salty, the crepe bland, and the fish (old and frozen) and potatoes oddly chewy with a strange, bouncy texture. I honestly don’t know how that’s even possible. At least the servers were somewhat empathetic, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
