Amazing venues for the film festival. Huge auditoria provide a spectacle but one needs time to access the building, the toilets, and seats. Not an intimate or cosy space!

Great music venue - much larger than I expected. No frills, modern, clean and rather bland, but as you are there for the show this isn't really an issue. It is located just across the river from old town san sebastian, so easily accessible by foot. You are a few staps away from a huge range of restaurants and bars for pre or post drinks/food. Be aware that for some shows (perhaps all) you will need to place your phone into a sealed pouch as the artist does not want people filming or just holding their phones up during the concert. Be prepared as you'll not have access to the phone for the duration of the concert.

It is in a great location and is now part of the Donosti landscape. When I first saw it 18 years ago I thought it resembled a large misshapen plastic packaging container spoiling the image of the beach. But it's grown on me with time.

This very modern theater and auditorium looms over the river and is a big contrast to the old architecture of the old town across the river. It is a place for special events. The style is striking.

An event space that could have been San Sebastian's Guggenheim, but is far worse. It was closed when I was there, so I didn't have the chance to visit inside.

The Great Kursaal was an elegant palace built in 1921, pulled down in 1973. An empty plot was freed (1973-1999). The new Kursaal Congress Centre (1999) was designed by Rafael Moneo, awarded the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture in 2001. The initial impact of the buildings in the landscape was deemed negative by Donostians, thanks to the positive impact it had in the economy, tourism and cultural life, most citizens today appreciate it.

It’s out of keeping, but it’s big, bold, modern. The list of acts and shows is long and varied. There are old theatres, but they lack stage space, technical expertise, They also lack accessibility.…

The hall is excellent for classical music. Aqustic amazing. Attitude of organizers to visitors is very very very bad. We bought good tickets in the center well on advance but they give our places actually not only ours but also other people to some friends or I don.t know to whom. and put us to seat aside .... Very BAD AND stupid. Question is not money .... But attitude....can not believe such things possible. I could only understand if they offer better places.... but....what to say. Visiting OPERA VERDI you expect to see intelligence and respect.... while met rudeness dislike.

Loved every bit of San Sebastian but saw this building and thought it was awfully ugly from the exterior & shame it’s covering all those lovely old beautiful architecture behind it, should be placed in a corner somewhere else..not at beach front
