Honestly I loved this restaurant! I went in feeling a bit skeptical due to the highly fusion and cheesy-looking dishes. But many of the dishes surprised me by how good they are! We ordered a ton of food. All the meats we ordered (beef & pork) were PERFECTLY cooked—tender, juicy, and flavorful. The mushroom salad was a surprising standout. The noodles (uni pasta and seafood pasta) were both tasty with good flavor. I thought the floral decor was cute. Our waiter was also super nice and accommodating to our large party. We all left full and happy. I would come back!

Giwa is a Korean fusion restaurant that with a spectacular floral themed venue. They also have an in-store flower shop. This was a delightful dining experience, if you’re looking for a trendy new spot to try, look no further! Despite being it busy night, the staff provided friendly and courteous service throughout the meal. I was excited to visit and try their dinner menu, which had a variety of delicious options to choose from. To start, we got the Grilled Corn Ribs, the corn is covered in a gochujang butter and mayonnaise sauce and will delight corn lovers. For our mains, we got the US Wagyu Steak, GIWA Prime Long Rib, Creamy Uni Pasta, and Korean Fried Chicken. All the plates were delicious, my favorites were the prime rib and uni pasta. The prime rib was so rich and tender and the flavors definitely reminded me of Galbi. I love uni, so I knew I would love the uni pasta! The pasta is topped with a big piece of uni and nori seaweed. The drinks were all tasty and sweet, they have a couple matcha lattes and my Black Sesame Latte was perfect. There’s plenty of alcoholic drink options as well, try the Yuzu Ginger Mule which is under their soju cocktail menu. For dessert, we ended up trying the Souffle Pancake with Uji Matcha Cream. This was a sweet and delightful treat to end the meal with!

This Korean fusion spot is a really beautiful place for brunch. The aesthetics are definitely one of its strongest points — the interior is thoughtfully designed, and every dish is plated so delicately. Even the drinks are visually stunning, coming in a wide range of vibrant colors that make the whole table look amazing. One thing to note is the waitlist process: you do have to be there in person to join the waitlist. That said, the wait isn’t too bad because there’s a Korean supermarket right next door, so you can browse around while waiting. Once your number is called, there’s also a small waiting area inside, and you may need to wait a bit longer before being seated. I tried the uni pasta and the omlet rice. The omlet rice leans more toward a Taiwanese-style flavor profile, and honestly, it was just okay — not bad, but not particularly memorable. The uni pasta, on the other hand, really stood out. The sea urchin flavor was rich and concentrated, which I personally loved, and it felt quite unique. The only downside is that the portion was on the smaller side. Overall, I think this place is definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you enjoy beautiful food, aesthetics, and a well-curated brunch experience.

We decided to have a late lunch at GIWA Santa Clara for Valentine’s Day. Upon arrival, we parked at the back parking lot. The entrance was a wooden double door. Walking through the doors, the place felt cozy, ambient and very brightly decorative. The chandeliers, flowers and cake bar made this the perfect atmosphere for celebrating this day! We ordered: Classic Bulgogi Pork Cutlet /w potato soup Honey Truffle Egg Sando Sweet Potato Fries Ube Latte Biscoff Latte The Bulgogi was delicious. It can serve 2-3 people for sure! It hit the soul! Tossed with veggies and in the center rice topped with a sunny side egg, it hit the spot! The pork cutlet was my wife’s favorite dish. It can serve 2-3 people. The crispy cutlet topped with a sweet curry made it feel like home! A side of rice to catch the richness of the curry was an amazing touch. The sides included: soft and savory Mac salad, lightly dressed cole slaw and seasoned radish. The iced ube latte tasted phenomenal. It did not have a powdery after taste and it wasn’t “too sweet.” The hot Biscoff latte hit the spot. If you’re not looking for something too choclatte rich. The truffle honey egg Sando was an eggselent starter as the aroma of truffle filled my nose. Sweet and rich, way to start things off for our meal. We ordered the side potato soup along with the cutlet and I’m glad we didn’t sleep on it. You can taste the butter and the leeks embraced with the creamy potato. The sweet potato side was crispy and yummy. It was served with garlic aioli. We asked seconds on the dip. The wait time said 30-50 mins after we signed up. Surprisingly, we were seated in less than 15 mins. The staff was helpful, attentive, friendly and very nice! Overall, we will be coming back to share this place with family and friends!

First time here for a birthday party! Loved the atmosphere immediately after walking in, and I love how it was thoroughly decorated for Christmas. Service was wonderful. Priscilla and Charlie were super friendly and helpful. She made sure everyone’s order was correct and kept stopping by to check in. I enjoyed the food as well. The yuzu ginger mocktail is my favorite; I just love anything yuzu. I tried the LA Galbi Omurice and I appreciated that the galbi was on the side so I had the choice of eating separately or mixing it with the rest of the dish and gravy. The starters and soufflé pancakes were delicious too. I can’t wait to come back to try some more items like the seafood pasta!

I came to Giwa on a Saturday for brunch and it was BUUUSSSYYYY. Luckily I just went with one other person instead of a large group so to wait was not super long. I will say that they may ask you if you are comfortable sharing a table with another party which I highly reccomend doing this so your wait time will be much shorter. You also have the option of sitting at the bar so you have options. We got the following dishes - Golden Chicken and Croffle - Egg Benedict with Yuzu Smoked Salmon Croissant - Einspanner Latte - Iced Latte _____________ To read about what we thought about the food, ambiance and service, keep reading. Otherwise, you can stop here. - Golden Chicken and Croffle Very generous portions and cooked perfectly. They used Dark meat and they also brined the chicken so it was very tender and flavorful. - Egg Benedict with Yuzu Smoked Salmon Croissant very generous and the croissant paired very well with the eggs benedict and smoked salmon. - Einspanner Latte needed a little extra simple syrup - Iced Latte sweet enough for us so we did not need to add any simple syrup. The team's service was very kind and helpful. Any questions I had about the menu I got an answer right away. even though it was very busy, everyone was very attentive about making sure our water was full and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I do think this place is a little on the pricy side so expect to pay $30-$40 per person. I am not the biggest brunch brother, BUT…. I would come back to try new dishes like the US Wagyu Steak (Rare "they suvie their steaks") and maybe the Creamy Uni Pasta.

Good was great as well as service. I had the basic breakfast and it was everything but that. Eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage had plenty of flavor, and I've never had beans with my breakfast. They were pretty good. We also ordered the caprese salad which was very good as well as the creme brulee French toast. My friend said it was to sweet for her but I I thought it was fine. We were so full we only took a couple of bites of the French toast. I will def be back again to try those pastas which look good as I saw other folks getting it.

I love this new spot for a Korean fusion dinner in South Bay. GIWA is known for the brunch, but the new dinner menu is a must try. With the beautiful Christmas decor and festive ambiance, it’s the perfect spot to celebrate the holidays and new years. They even have a separate area for large parties! For food, I recommend the table side served fried calamari and gochujang glazed bossam. I also tried the cheese stuffed hamburg steak and truffle honey egg sando. There’s also a wide selection of drinks from hot coffees and non caffeine lattes to wine and cocktails

This place is sooo aesthetically pleasing especially if you’re a pink girlie - the accents of pink throughout the restaurant made me so happy! There’s also a floral boutique at the front with beautiful arrangements in all sizes. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating, which made the experience that much better. Now on to the food: absolutely delicious, full of flavor and beautifully plated. By far my favorite was the prime rib, it was “melt in your mouth” and buttery. The drinks were amazing, with the pandan latte being my favorite. If you don’t want caffeine, definitely try the Dawn Violet Ade (just make sure to give it a good swirl to get all the flavors mixed in). Definitely give GIWA a try! Highly recommend!

This was a pleasant surprise. We dropped by to try it out. Parking is limited. Don’t park in the adjacent lot or you may get a ticket. The food was excellent. I took a few pictures of what we tried. The service was excellent too. I tried the Loco Moco. The atmosphere was nice too, great ambiance. Unfortunately, there’s no reservations. Definitely, worth a while to visit again next time we’re in the area.

Tried Giwa and honestly, the food was really good. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, and you can tell they put care into what they serve. Portions were solid, and nothing felt rushed or thrown together. It’s the kind of place you can go to when you want good food. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend to friends. The rib was amazing, melts in your mouth and the freshness of the burrata salad just perfect.

We ordered the Egg Benedict with yuzu smoked salmon croissant, Dutch baby pancake, and creamy uni pasta, and everything was delicious. The croissant benedict was buttery and flaky with a fresh citrus twist from the yuzu, the pancake was warm and sweet, making it perfect for dessert, and the uni pasta was light and savory with a fresh seafood flavor rather than overly creamy, which I really liked. Their non-alcoholic drink was also really refreshing and nicely balanced. Cozy atmosphere, pretty plating, and friendly service. Definitely coming back!

If you’re looking for a spot for a date night or girls night out, I promise you, Giwa is the spot. You can also pre-order flowers ahead of time and get them when you dine there! Dinner and flowers all in one. They make the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I've ever seen. The arrangement is gorgeous and not gonna lie, this is my most favorite bouquet I’ve ever gotten in my entire life. Giwa recently opened for dinner and most people know this is the cutest brunch spot in the Bay Area. I can confidently say their dinner is extremely impressive, from staff and atmosphere and to the food. Everything was pretty much a banger and definitely left feeling super happy and loved by the end of the night. 1. Gochujang - Glazed Bossam - 5/5 - this was actually so good and much better than I expected. 2. Creamy Uni Pasta - 5/5 - my absolute favorite dish because I absolutely love uni and pasta, and it wasn't too heavy either. 3. US Wagyu Steak with Cheese Dip - 4/5 - I actually enjoyed this much more than I thought I would! I do wish it was cooked Medium Rare though instead of Medium. But the meat was actually super tasty and tender still! 4. Truffle Potato Pancake - 4/5 - this was actually so good for like a few bites... it's a bit on the heavy side! 5. Pandan Coco Matcha - 5/5 - I generally do not like matcha but this was insanely good. Definitely would recommend to try! 6. Strawberry Matcha Latte - 4/5 - Not a huge fan of matcha but the flavors worked so well together and my friend really enjoyed this drink! 7. Yuzu Ginger Mule - 5/5 - Super tasty for a moscow mule kind of drink with a bit of yuzu - definitely my go-to for alcoholic drinks! Overall, the vibes are fantastic and where can you even find a restaurant that also provides floral services? Definitely will be coming back!

Giwa is literally selling happiness, no cap! 🌸✨ Giwa is more than a cafe; it’s a core memory. The positive energy and laughter here are contagious. * Pro Tip: Go to the flower shop inside for the most aesthetic photos—you’ll feel like a literal princess. 👑 * Must Order (in advance since it takes 20-30 mins): The soufflé pancake is pure magic. I’m lowkey convinced it’s the gold standard for all desserts now. * The Savory Side: The cheese tonkatsu was also 10/10. Such a gem! 100% recommend for your next bestie date. 👯‍♀️✨ This is my very honest review though I don't always talk like this! Words are polished to reflect the Giwa atmosphere. :)

GIWA is an exceptionally good restaurant. It features a very beautiful fresh flower theme, and the overall ambiance is superb. There is even a flower shop corner in the restaurant, which is very convenient for occasions like birthdays or dates. We are first time here for a came here for a celebration. The manager, Kelley, was very nice and reserved a table for us in advance. The handsome Ash also served us with great enthusiasm and recommended the restaurant's very popular dishes. The Prime Long Rib was especially tender. During the celebration, they even helped us recorded videos, and took photos for us. We are extremely grateful! We highly recommend trying this newly opened Giwa restaurant.

If I could rate this place 100 out of 10 I would. The soufflé pancakes were amazing, but it was a significantly longer wait compared to the other stuff, though the staff did notify me before I confirmed my order. The vibes and decor are immaculately done, very coquette but not tacky. I don’t even know where to start with the service, they were all so friendly and welcoming! The food was perfectly done, the flavors having the perfect balance between flavorful and bright without being too overpowering and heavy, I swear they use magic.

Beautiful interior design, spacious dining environment, and elegant food presentation! The food quality is overall great — both in taste and appearance. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and visually appealing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Matcha Cream Latte was incredibly tasty — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It’s like a dessert you could enjoy any time of the day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ube Matcha Cream Latte was as incredible as the Matcha Cream Latte! Very satisfying and lighten the mood for the day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Wagyu Steak was outstanding — well-cooked, tender, and juicy. Although only “medium” and above options were available when I visited, the steak came more like medium-rare and continued cooking slightly on the hot plate to a perfect medium. The potato on the side soaked up the beef’s flavorful oil — a bit soggy but still delicious! Edit: I’ve ordered for a second time and still only “medium” and above options were available. I’ve ordered medium, however, this time came almost well done. It was hard to chew and tasteless... I’m not sure if I’ll order for a third time… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Korean Palace Patty Benedict was delightful, with a nice balance of sweet and savory. The Korean style marinated patty was juicy and tender, which mixed well with the sauce and muffins. The poached egg wasn’t runny like a traditional benedict, but the taste was still satisfying. The crispy potato on the side was well-seasoned and comforting — a great touch! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Uni Pasta was very flavourful and creamy. Flavour of uni blends well in the sauce without being overpowering the overall taste. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Lemon Garlic Lobster Pasta was creamy, with a subtle milky aroma and well-balanced flavors — not too heavy. Letting the pasta soak in the sauce before eating made it even more flavorful! I was very eager to dig in and found the first few bites mild, but the pasta at the bottom was perfect. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Truffle Honey Egg Sando offered a nice sweet-and-savory mix, and overall satisfying for snacking. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Golden Chicken Croffle was beautifully presented and very generous in portion. The croffle itself was fantastic — crisp, buttery, and satisfying! The chicken, however, was a bit dry and bland. I’d definitely order just the croffle if that were an option. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Omurice Fried Rice was interesting but not particularly tasty. The scrambled egg was a bit overcooked. The kimchi fried rice base was flavorful, but the rice was too sticky. The overall dish looked very pleasant but the taste was underwhelming. ⭐️ The Einspanner Latte was not recommended for coffee lovers — it lacks the coffee aroma and without much coffee taste. It’s more of a sugary dessert drink. Overall, Giwa is a lovely place with beautifully presented dishes, interesting flavour, and a relaxing atmosphere. Despite a few hit and misses, the highlights more than make up for it. Recommended for brunch or casual dining in Santa Clara!

We celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday here, and it was truly unforgettable. The moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The ambiance was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the whole experience made the celebration feel extra special. I want to give a huge thank you to Kelly, who was incredibly attentive, kind, and so detailed with everything. She made sure every part of the evening went smoothly and made us feel supported from start to finish. And a big shoutout to our server Ash, who went above and beyond the entire night. They treated my mom like a queen, and it meant so much to all of us. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal and heartfelt. We left with smiles, full stomachs, and memories my mom will treasure forever. I highly recommend this place for birthdays, gatherings, or any moment you want to make truly special.

We visited Giwa for brunch on Christmas Eve and had a wonderful time! The ambiance was inviting and created the perfect atmosphere for a festive meal. We ordered the O.J. mimosa, Madagascar vanilla latte, Giwa loaded burger, curry chicken sandwich, and soufflé pancake for dessert. The food quality was impressive, and we genuinely enjoyed most of our selections. The flavors were on point, and the presentation was beautiful. The only minor drawback was that the bread crust on the curry chicken sandwich was a bit too hard for our liking. However, this didn’t detract much from the overall experience. Despite this small issue, we really loved the place and the quality of food served. We’d definitely recommend Giwa to others looking for a great brunch spot and would be happy to return!

Very cute brunch place, and I’d say that at least for the items we ordered, they had more Korean inspired tastes than other Asian fusion brunch places I’ve been too. The Korean Benedict was unique and tasty and as was the Korean pork cutlet. One thing that rubbed me the wrong way is that when the server took our order, she made it seem like the benedict came with a side of fruit/salad/potatoes. But I was shocked to see a $4 charge for basically like 1/4 cup of misc berries.

Giwa review Giwa is a combination brunch/dinner/flower shop with a light, bright decor that is inviting and airy. After entering through the solid double wooden doors for brunch, we were invited to seat ourselves anywhere. On this visit we ordered the mushroom confit salad, kurobota pork sausage omurice, and black sesame kaya toast. First to arrive was the mushroom confit salad. The portobello and oyster mushrooms were generously sliced and had a firm chew with a great juicy release. The arugula greens also nicely complemented the rich mushrooms with a slight fresh bitterness, and the sesame dressing tied the mushrooms and greens together quite literally with its thick mouthfeel. Overall enjoyable, but I found myself looking for just a little something crunchy and something sweet to balance out the flavors and textures. Some chopped candied pecans or pumpkin seeds would have been perfect. I could also see a handful of pomegranate seeds adding color and a juicy, tangy punch to the fat flavors. Next up was the omurice with butterflied pork kurobata sausage. Although on the small side the sausages were nicely charred which covered the sweet and crispy factor for this dish. Unfortunately it’s downhill from there as the sauce was overly sweet and one-dimensional, and the rice was slightly mushy. It was slightly orange on the inside but I couldn’t make out a distinct taste. I think a drier-textured fried rice, on the harder side with lots of garlic and smoky flavor would have been a much better match for the sauce. Fresh bird’s eye chili slices would have been a great garnish and added heat to break up the sweetness. My personal favorite was the kaya toast with black sesame glaze on the side. Clearly an indulgence, the toast was deeply puffed from being deep-fried while the inside was still moist and chewy. Inside there was a thin layer of kaya custard and if there was anything to nitpick, it’s that kaya is a little more delicate flavor and did get suppressed under the butter and fried dough. The deep-fried approach with the pat of half-melted butter on top is an American interpretation whereas in Southeast Asia the bread would be thinly sliced, lightly toasted, and a slab of cold butter placed together with the kaya. I personally think it would be interesting to serve these two side by side on the same plate to reduce the greasiness and show the contrast. For drinks we had the black sesame latte and the Einspanner. The foam on the black sesame latte was nice and thick but I thought the drink was slightly too sweet with not enough black sesame flavor. The Einspanner was the better of the two and also had nicely textured foam with a stronger coffee flavor. Overall the ambience was great and would be a perfect spot to gather with friends or bring a date. Plating of the food was attractive but the flavors could be slightly tweaked to add contrast and balance

The atmosphere is so nice, I love all the decor! Also service was great and our waitress Priscilla was the best, she made sure she got all our orders and repeated them as well. Food was enjoyable, I enjoyed the truffle fries. I’ll be coming back for brunch sometime. I came for a bday dinner and it’s great for birthdays!

We liked it. Drinks were good and so were the eggs Benedict. Service was great. The only thing was that the potatoes were initially cold inside so we told them and the service staff provided a new batch that was warm. Would come back to this aesthetic brunch spot!

Came for my birthday lunch and the space was the best part of the whole visit. The interior is stunning — Christmas décor everywhere, giant tree, wrapped gifts suspended from the ceiling — warm, clean, polished, and perfect for photos. Unfortunately, that’s where things fell off. The lobster pasta was shockingly bland. No seasoning, no depth, just noodles — it honestly tasted unfinished. The uni pasta was slightly better, but not by much. The salmon tower was also a miss; something was off, bitter and citrusy in a way that clashed with everything else. After sampling each component, the cucumber ended up being the culprit. It threw the whole dish off. The lobster itself was cooked well and not rubbery, but one small well-seasoned piece doesn’t make up for an entire flavorless plate. The only dish that stood out in a good way was the egg-rice with sausage — by far the highlight of the meal. It’s a shame the food was so disappointing when the location, environment, and even the plating were immaculate. I even showed my parents the photos afterward and my mom said she wanted to go just for the decorations — but knowing how the food tasted, I couldn’t recommend it to her in good conscience. Great for Instagram, not for eating. Really disappointed I chose this spot for my birthday, but at least the pictures turned out cute.
