Popular restaurant for after work activities. Vibes are different from your traditional restaurant – it’s darker in the restaurant so the hanging lights can shine brighter, and the walls have posters of many Korean idols. The food portions were great and flavorful – I highly recommend getting a few different items to share with other people and try the menu. Drinks are overpriced though ($13 for a bottle of soju). Most notable dish was the marinated pork belly. It arrived on a sizzling platter on a stack of grilled onions that soaked the flavor from the melting pork belly fat. The meat was marinated well – not too overly sweet and savory. There was a good distribution of fatty and meaty pieces. Wish they made a spicy version of this dish or provided sauce on the side. I also needed a side of rice with it. The second best dish was the soy garlic fried chicken. It had a crunchy crust that was coated in an umami soy garlic sauce all around. Only complaint is that the chicken was overbattered – some pieces had crunch but no chicken. The people I went with made the experience memorable – I’d go again in a large group but not worth going alone.
After a long day of work, I needed a place to drink and unwind. My friend and I decided upon Pocha K and what a great choice it was. The food here isn’t always amazing but this time it was fantastic. From the giant Tonkatsu to the soy garlic chicken or even the steamed egg, everything was killer. The service was also great. This place still uses a paper list for the waitlist but hey it works and they stay busy regardless. By far one of the best pocha in the bay.
Pocha K is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic Korean flavors and a fun dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the lively atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The food is bursting with flavor—each dish perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. Their Korean fried chicken is crispy and juicy, and the tteokbokki has just the right amount of spice.
Opens at 6 PM so isn't for everyone but it is pretty decent Korean food. The kimchi fried rice was pretty solid and the chicken was good too. The rice cake was a bit sweet but depends on the person. Probably a nice place if you like late night drinking and the pricing seems about in line for that type of vibe.
Great place! I love how they are open late! Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are great. I wish the parking lot was a bit bigger but outside of that I had a good experience and would come back. The food doesn’t blow my mind but was good. It is great for the price for casual Korean food and drinks. I want to try their cheese rice cakes/ tteokbokki
Place has a great vibe. It has a photo booth and take pictures while you’re waiting for a table. This restaurant can get really noisy though, but it’s fine since I don’t really mind. Service was extremely fast and I suggest you guys get the kimchi fried rice. Overall, I’d give it a 4.5/5. Definitely coming back.
I'll start off by saying I'm sober right now, n this definitely is geared towards grabbing a drink n some sides to share. However I still enjoyed myself, the atmosphere is lovely and fun. Service was prompt and the proportions are huge (like I said great for sharing) they have an extensive soju selection, and even a cute way to leave your bottle caps! Will definitely return.
Perfect late night post-event dinner. Big portions, decent service, kpop idol life size cutouts (Jennie and IU) by the entrance, cute frog mascot, aesthetic string lights above, and little kpop idol photo cards and doodles interweaved on the walls behind your seats. We ordered: - Kimchi and pork fried rice (10/10) - Soy garlic boneless chicken (8/10) - Pocha fries (7/10, hot Cheetos and cheesy fries)
great place to eat and hangout with friends late at night!!! i loved the vibes and the portion sizes were generous! I recommend trying rabokgi w cheese, cheese corn, and soy garlic boneless chicken. I also ordered the tonkatsu but wished it had a bit more seasoning. overall i really enjoyed my time here and the workers are all so kind
Sooo good, delicious, delicious. So good I gotta say it twice! Soju, many flavours, the fried chicken is fire! Garlic spicey, rabukgi! The ramen in the spicey sauce was amazing! And fried rice, yes sir!!!! Easy parking, awesome atmosphere, drunk shouting happy Koreans everywhere, you know this place is good!
Korean Army Soup in the cold weather sounds so good! Ramen mixed with spam, dumplings, tofu and many other ingredients that are delicious. Soup had an bean based with actual beans so it gives the soup an thick and flavorful taste. And ofc everything goes well with some soju so we had to get that!😂 . Don’t forget to try out the other delicious main courses like their meat that are really popular. Each portion is quite big so it’s really filling for an large party.
Hi friends we went through so much to finally be able to get dinner here 🙏🙏 we ordered chicken gizzard spicy garlic fried chicken tokbokki and clam soup 🍲 we devoured the food in the first five minutes after moving stuff for a few hours 🤣🤣 we talked about korean food and life and silly things. It was a good time 😚 will come back 😚😚
Ive eaten here a few times now. Highly recommend the pork belly and fried chicken. It’s a fun place to sample Korean favourites with friends. The menu is pretty small, but the food is nonetheless great
Went here for the first time. The kimchi rice is good. The meat is good also. But the cheese is a bit sweet to me. Overall it good.
We've been here at least three times, and we always enjoy the night here. Their food are all tasty, and their chicken gizzards are the even better. The service is great, and the servers always have their smiles on. There aren't a lot of food choices if you're coming for dinner because the ambiance is about having drinks with a small group of friends. No loud music, so everyone can hear each other, though they play K-pop songs. Their interior decors are simple and focused on soju and lots of small lights. They are open until very late at night. The place is small, but they have an outdoor seating area, and they ask you upon checkin if you want indoor or outdoor table.
I always only order original fried chicken to go. Juicy chicken, tasty batter, comes with radish and shredded lettuce. The person who picks up the phone is always nice. Only issue is, if it’s abit late like closer to midnight, chicken bone in is always out, but boneless is equally juicy.
It's a great restaurant for sharing tapas and having drinks. Fried chicken is great, and the pickled radish is a perfect match.
Amazing Korean bar food. Tonkatsu and spicy pork were amazing. Setup was pretty good for Covid dining and the ambience is simple but elegant.
Delicious Korean Cousine. Also have good service in this restaurant. I‘ll definitely visit again☺️
As you can tell by the empty plates and happy faces, this place was amazing. This was our 2nd time at this establishment and just had to leave a review after great service, great vibes, and yet again great food.
Love their pork belly! Stays open late, perfect for enjoying time with friends.
This place should absolutely have higher review. Katsu is the best we’ve ever had. Cheese corn, steamed egg & wings all great. Col vibe and fast service as well.
Loved Pocha K! The food is so good, the service is always friendly, and I love that they’re open late. Perfect spot to hang out with friends and eat something amazing after hours!
I've tried a lot of pork cutlets in the South Bay, but this one takes the cake. It's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a perfect balance of flavors. The meat is tender and flavorful, and the breading is light and crispy. The corn cheese is a great side dish, and the soup is a nice way to end the meal. I would highly recommend this pork cutlet to anyone who is looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. It's the best pork cutlet I've ever had, and I can't wait to go back and try it again.
This place is great for meeting friends and having a drink with some good food. We went around 8:45 pm and the place was pretty busy but the service was still great and we were taken care of right away. The portions were perfect for sharing. I recommend the tonkatsu, it was huge and very crispy! We will definitely be going back :)
This place is a gem in Santa Clara! The food keeps us coming back for more but on top of that it's the staff there that takes the cake. This type of attentive, caring service is what all restaurants should strive for. Hands down our favorite place to come for food!
Great late-night spot, can get a bit loud so having convos may be a bit difficult. Parking can be challenging. Great food though!!!
we came here with a big group and were seated immediately. We got a bunch of different items to share and we loved absolutely everything item we ordered! The food came out fast and the service was great. Will be back!
Honestly they're really good at bringing plates out. Didn't feel like there was a wait at all. The steamed eggs are on the harder side. Still fluffy but not so jiggly. The food and portions are pretty good. The spicy pork was solid, nothing transcendent. The spicy garlic boneless wings were crisp but no heat really. Opened late at night and great at handling parties. The inside is pretty chic but basal in a way. The water comes in these cute water bottles of their mascot.
This place is a bit noisy but it has got a nice vibe. I ordered Spicy Garlic Chicken, Tonkatsu and Egg fried rice. All the items were good. I found few of the food items a bit expensive but the quantity of food compensates for it. The food came in pretty quickly and the service was food. I loved the Mango and Pineapple Sojus which I ordered here. It is a nice place to come, eat and have a few drinks with friends. I will definitely visit this place again
Good koeran food place, most dishes come in a big plate and you have to cut/share. Everything tastes great, the portion is ok but there isn't much meat, the boneless chicken were particularly small (one bite). Actually pretty affordable as well, we had 8 ppl and each spent $25-30. Don't get the soju tho, they are $6 in a Korean market it's $14 here.
Food is great, late night availability is even greater. It's nice to have a place to go to late in the evening, especially one with a nice atmosphere as this. I've got no complaints about the food, but the service is on the slower side. Both times I went I averaged about a 30 minute wait between sitting down and my food arriving. If you're not in a rush, then the food is worth the wait.
Really great place for quick service and satisfying your Korean food crave! Good: - Lots of seating, we went on a Thursday at 7:30 and no wait - Really fast service - you place your order and food comes out quick - Solid portion sizes, I got the ramen + fish cake dish and that one was super sweet and tasty! The fried chicken with soy garlic was great too. - Yummy Korean food - I liked the food and the servers were really nice Bad: - Not a fan of the fish cake stew- too watery and bland - Not a fan of the kimchee fried rice - not a lot of flavor either - No banchan! Overall would come here again, definitely cool that it's also open late - rare for a lot of South bay establishments :p
The flavors were good, especially the stir-fried rice cakes. However, the environment was too noisy; the background music was quite loud, making it challenging for my friend and me to hear each other's conversations.
It's a cute restaurant with cozy vibes and vibrant decor. They serve you sweet pretzel bites to start off. It was very unexpected but delicious. My friend and I ordered apple mango soju, fish cake soup, rabokgi, and spicy boneless chicken. Bonesless chicken was delicious (more on the sweeter side than spicy). Meat was very tender and perfectly seasoned. Rabokgi was okay. Noodles had all the flavor but not the rice cakes (I guess that's expected). It was good, though. Soup was great as well.
It's kind of a young person's drinking place, but it is open late. The food was great, but limited selections mainly geared toward sharing. The service was great.
Overall it’s not bad. The worst part is that there’s only a single restroom for each gender. It’s a drinking place, people needs to go quite frequently and sometimes cannot hold. I’m sure there had been unwanted incidents while people lining up for the restrooms. lol
Nice lively atmosphere. The garlic chicken is good. Highly recommend pocha k fries. The portion size is pretty big.
They didn't have beef bulgogi so I got their pork bulgogi If you order their fries (with all their toppings) I recommend eating it there as it doesn't keep very well (the hot cheetos get a bit soggy) the fried egg was a really good touch!
more casual Korean restaurant than other restaurants. Price not as much expensive and good vibe. Recommend for young ages. Soju is good.
soy marinated chicken and ddukbokgi were so good! full of flavor and chicken was tender. marinated pork belly was disappointing though — too dry. friendly service and we enjoyed the outdoor seating.
It's a local favorite. Hidden gem! Ordered the fried chicken - came out fast and was yummy. Will visit again soon.
Initially, I was excited about my order because who can go wrong with chicken, fries, and Hot Cheetos? Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered take-out, and my initial impression was that the bag was pretty heavy, and there seemed to be a decent amount of food. However, when I opened my food, I saw that everything was wrapped in aluminum foil. Maybe they wanted to prevent leaking, but it only made what should have been crispy incredibly soggy. The chicken had more breading than actual meat which can be seen in the picture. Finally, it was rather expensive for quick comfort food. Overall, I might come back in person because the vibes seem great for a small group hangout, but I won’t be ordering take-out from them again.
I don't understand the hype around this place. Service was slow and food was mediocre. I tried pork cutlets and I did not know you can make pork meat so dry and tasteless! The rice cakes were too chewy. Garlic chicken was good tbh. So they get 3 stars and I'll never come back here
Total Score: 5.78 Bathroom: N/A Didn’t use the bathroom Customer Service: 3/5 Hard to grab and refill waters :(( Ambiance: 4/5 Gave bar karaoke vibes with all the little lights it had and the vines coming down. Adds a nice touch. Food: 3/5 Decent casual dining food, but nothing stood out. Fried chicken was alright, was juicy but could have some more flavor. But egg fried rice was solid though. Wow: 0/1 Normal Korean restaurant Total Score = (CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW)/0.9

Tried out Pocha K for dinner. Ordered quite a bit of food. We had the spicy boneless chicken, sweet potato fries, tonkatsu, and a kimchi fried rice. Also had some soju and beer to pair with the meal. Portions are pretty big. Would have been helpful if the staff let us know we probably over ordered haha. Food was ok. Nothing really stood out to me. Definitely would not order the tonkatsu though. They give you a long piece of tonkatsu, that is mainly just batter. Really would avoid ordering it. Alcohol here is pretty expensive too. Staff could be a bit more attentive. Lots of parking in the back. I'd definitely be open to coming back in again, but would try other things. This spot does get busy later, since they do open later than most places.
So, we ordered Pocha Fries, and before we did, we asked the server what they were like. He said it was nachos, cheese, and fries, but maybe he said something I didn't get. Guess what? It came out with HOT Cheetos on top, and we can't eat spicy stuff, plus it looked so cheap and weird! We told the owner we didn't expect this and asked if she could take off the hot Cheetos, but she said no. The male server insisted he explained it beforehand, but he had a thick accent, so... maybe it was a language barrier. The chicken was okay, but the service was terrible. Never going back and telling everyone not to go.
I understand the string lights and the ambience do remind one of an actual cafe in Korea but the food here is bad and grossly overpriced. The rice cakes are what a college student could cook up and they would because the ingredients are so cheap. It is my least favorite Korean soju bar in Santa Clara. Well this, and the newer Hong Dae Pocha. They don't give banchan. The servers roll around once in a blue moon but this is part of the vibe. The fried chicken is mid. The pork cutlet with cheese tastes salty and synthetic. The kimchi fried rice is almost all rice and kimchi with nothing else. I haven't tasted anything remotely good here and almost all dishes are upwards of $20. Except the $13 French fries.
As soon as I arrived at the parking lot, the manager asked me to leave. Even though parked at a spot that did not mention customer parking 20 minutes and plenty of empty spots with only one car. I was late for a class nearby and may go back for dinner after it, but I was asked to leave right away or bought a bottle of water before leaving. Given the negative experience of parking, I don’t think I will come back to this restaurant.
