First time in after eyeing it for awhile when hitting the Saturday farmers market. Quality selections on tap as well as to go. The staff were super mellow and approachable which is hit or miss in the world of beer snobbery.

Owner Matt has created a genuine tap room that stands head and shoulders above the rest, fostering a neighborhood vibe where you can literally run into anyone—from the mayor to a police officer, to your best friends. ​The food is just as much a part of the experience, thanks to Jose, the best cook around, who makes everything feel like a home-cooked meal. ​But at the core of it all is the incredible staff. Bartenders like Christopher Foley, Chrissy Pooh, and RAV are part of what makes this place so friendly and welcoming. And of course, a special shout-out to Courtney. She is so much more than a bartender; she is the embodiment of what makes this place so special. Courtney is incredibly attentive, genuinely nice, and truly caring. Her warmth is contagious, and it’s obvious how much she loves her friends and family, and she extends that same love to everyone who walks through the door. Taplands is the best in the world, and it's because of the amazing people who work there. And there's this one random guy named Paulo that's always there and every time they do underbergs he says it still tastes like shit. He's so funny 😂

This is the place to go to when you’re looking for fine craft beer. Odds are, the 24 beers on tap when you walk in, will not the the same 24 beers when you leave. They constantly rotate beers & refresh their beer menu multiple times during the day.

We arrived too late (Sunday night) and the kitchen was closed but the hummus and chips were tasty. They have a wide selection of beers available. A few games to play for those that are interested. Very chill vibes. Bartender was pleasant. Highly recommend.

Good size, dog friendly, patio. Shaded and partially heated. Nice and spread out for the pups. Beer selection is great and always changing. They do a very good job of keeping a lot of different styles on tap. Check out their homepage for the current taplist.

This place is such a little gem. Your local neighborhood tap room with a great selection of beers and a nice food menu! Came on a weekend to watch the Warriors game, TVs are on and great crowd. The owners are super awesome and everyone is friendly. Great vibe - if you haven’t visited yet please do, you’ll want to come back 😀 Convenient parking right behind the place and plenty of seating inside and out. If you like spicy - definitely order the Spicy Turkey Panini, it is a 5-star. I’ll be back

Great beers and food in a locally owned brewery. This is a great place to stop after having meetings in the Silicon Valley. They have a great service and local atmosphere. They have a huge variety of local beers and ciders.

It was UEFA Championship Saturday and I needed a place to enjoy the match. I entered Taplands and found the couch seats. The bartender controlled the room like Steve Nash ran the Suns. On this day a Farmer's Market was nearby and I picked up some grub. The bartender noticed me with my purchase and quickly let me know it was okay to eat it in the bar. Wow! Thank you. The atmosphere and clean bathrooms were enough to earn 5 🌟 but the quality of customer service puts this place over the top! Hail Real Madrid on this day.

this is just a brilliant bar. We were on a trip to san jose recently for two nights and loved this bar so much we went back a second night. Different bar person each night but they were both top of their game, excellent bar people. The beers are excellent, a nice selection with brilliant options in the fridge also.

What a great place! I was traveling in the area on business and stopped in for a few beers. I met the owner Matt. What an amazing guy. Truly passionate about his craft; sharing craft beers with the world. Matt was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It was clear within a few minutes why there were a host of "regulars" present as well as a mix of folks pre-gaming for the Sharks, and other passersby. Whenever my travels take me back to this area I will be sure to visit. If you're reading this....go see for yourself and enjoy a taste from their diverse offering of beer.

Taplands is a great pub. We go there to watch Bay FC soccer games because they host Watch Parties. The bartenders and Manager are so nice and helpful, it's a breath of fresh air compared to so many bars/pubs around here. There is a covered patio out in front with picnic tables and a TV screen and inside there are some tables that seat 4-6, a tall counter w/ stools, 2 sofas, and the bar. I highly recommend Taplands, especially for Bay FC Watch Parties!

You’ll find this location to be friendly clean and fast. Outdoor seating is 4x large benches, 3x high tops, an 8ft bar, and 3 more 4-person high tops. The staff is courteous, and their appetizers are reasonably priced and delish! I highly recommend the pita points!

Very nice atmosphere! Great selection of beers. The meat and cheese platter was excellent but the portion size was too small. Great bar staff. Good street parking and a lot is very close.

Beers selection seem hap hazard. Seems like a great menu of beers but tasting seems to lead me to think there is no one who understands beer and making sure there is a great over all selection. Good place and I may go back but there other places that are so much better.

I showed up on 12/6/2024 at 11:15 pm on a Friday night and the taps were already cleaned and last call had been made. Which means that they called last call on a Friday at 11pm 1 hour before they were supposed to be closed and I was asked to leave because they said they can't server me because they are closed. I got off a plane and rushed there only to be turned away. This is so disappointing if your going to close at 11 pm that's fine but don't put online your open till 12 if your going to waste my time and gas.
