I live on the central coast, close to Moro Bay and love a good fish and chips. While visiting the Santa Cruz area for a camping trip my wife sent me a link to this British fish and chips food truck and I gave it a go at Felton’s farmers market. They knocked this completely out of the park. Perfect crunch, perfect shape (I consider that a thing, not sure who else does) perfect flavors in the batter and fish itself, chips were great, tartar sauce also great and there was a pretty cool curried ketchup. Customer service was friendly and prompt. I live 15 minutes from the ocean and this beats everything at home. No contest. Proper Fish (Bainbridge) was comparable and fish and chips I had in London. I’d make a point to get this if you can, I wish I lived closer but I’ll be back when I can.

Amazing and truly authentic Fish & Chips from Helen & her team!!!! Thank you for giving me a true taste of home!!! It was just what the doctor ordered. We ordered 3 fish & chips, of course we had to add some sides of mushy peas and curry ketchup! The fish was soft and flakey with a beautiful crispy batter! Could not fault the proper chips!!! Not a fry in sight. Other options on the menu looked amazing and I sampled the chicken curry which was delicious! We will be back! Next time I will be trying the battered sausage! Thanks again Helen! This a the best fish and chips (fries) served from a food truck in Santa Cruz areas. You can also find them at the farmers markets in the area. Service is prompt. Fish is fried in a perfect batter. The fries are made from Yukon Gold potatoes and they are steak cut. It comes with ketchup, tarter sauce and a curried red sweet sauce which goes well with the fish.

I always snag these guys when they're at Humble Sea brewing. I thought I'd had good fish and chips, then I tried these guys. It's a hefty meal, and a little expensive, but it's well worth it. Outstanding food, service, and folks. Also they have the best tartar sauce I've had in my life.

It takes 15 min or so to prep your food but it's worth the wait. The fish n chips are their signature dish and it is fantastic. Fish chunks are huge and tasty. Chips are great too. Large portions enough for two or for one hungry cyclist . Mushy peas and pickled onions are also fire.

Lunch is the best time to go here. It really crowds up later with lots of kids. Too bad it's only open Saturday. Order early to avoid a long wait.

All in all a good take out meal.

Fish was under seasoned. Fries in vegan fries were cold. Apple fritters: no cinnamon or any sugar besides light dusting of powdered sugar. Second star is for the pickled onions on veggie fries, definitely the highlight of the meal.

Very very slow. 50 minutes to get my order. They said they would text when it’s ready, but then they failed to do so.

Terrible experience. The fish was undercooked, the potatoes were both undercooked and discolored, and the apple fritters were sour. The mushy peas had an awful, almost rotten tuna-like taste. Overall, the food was inedible, and I would not recommend this place.

I come to Humble Sea often, and this truck is usually camped there. I have ordered chips many times, and they are always disappointing for $7 (incl $1 tip). The potatoes are often filled with bad spots and they never give very many. Today, I ordered chips about 1/2 hour before they closed. The chips took 20 min and were again underwhelming in the portion size. Well, while I’m eating my handful of $7 chips they start closing the truck and bring giant piles of free chips to the surrounding tables. Then, in front of the truck one of the workers (the one with a weird pseudo handlebar moustache and wearing a tank top) starts checking out his arm pits. Pretty gross! So maybe I don’t want more chips anyway….
