The drinks here are good! and those bacon wrapped dates are absolutely mouth watering once you get a taste. Dessert is always such a hefty fill that’s of course worth it as well, the presentation never fails at looking so delicious.
Food here was great, the employees were friendly and the beer selection was very good. I'd definitely recommend going here. We tried a lot of the food: Pork Belly Burnt End Skewers - Great! Tuna Poke - Really nice, and lots of Tuna Ceasar Salad - Large and Tasty Chicken Sandwich - Crispy and flavorful Nachos - Solid, but not spectacular Bavarian Pretzel - QUite good, pretty sure it's spent grain and the Beer Cheese was great
Another great Restaurant Week find! We typically go to the same places that we like but love trying new restaurants with a great deal, such as Belly with their $29 3-course meal. At full portion sizes, there is no reason to not get the pork belly with brussels and potatoes. The artichoke appetizer was a full artichoke, easily shared among a few folks. Fish tacos were loaded and delicious. Bacon and mango salsa are two ingredients I would have never thought should go on fish tacos, but it was so good we left wondering how we haven't had this combination before! Pork belly was very tasty, although a bit too much sauce in my opinion. The chocolate mousse, our usual go-to dessert, was the most disappointing. Placed on an impressive display with delicious cream, the ramekin of mousse was not something we could eat more than a couple bites of because of the sourness and strong alcoholic taste. Fortunately, our friends really liked it, so this is a hit/miss. Pros: great for Restaurant Week dinner, good service, wide selection, live music on Saturday evenings Cons: restrooms are in the area that can be reserved for a private party so going to the restroom gets a little awkward when there's a private party going on
Delicious! We got take out so can't speak for the live entertainment but the pulled pork was amazing! Better than the south. We ordered a Cobb salad and the steak bites as well and everything was great quality and scrumptious.
It was great coming here to get Lunch at 3 pm (a little late I know but what the hay life is short). I had a bowl of cheese curds and chicken tenders with fries, and they were fantastic. The place is lgbtq+ friendly which was nice to see in this day and age. I got 2 drpeppers too drink and took one home for me. Overall pretty nice experience and they give you takeout boxes so that’s good.
We had delivery do I can't speak to the ambience but the food was really terrific. We shared bacon/wrapped dates (yummy!), pulled pork sandwich with just the right blend of crispy spicy slaw and tender pork, fish and chips that won rave reviews and fish tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we are looking forward to visiting the restaurant in person!
My girlfriend and I were on our way to Windsor via Elk Grove for her birthday weekend. We didn't have any plans on stopping in Santa Rosa, but we found this wonderful place called belly Left coast.. I can't begin to tell you how awesome the food and service were. We ordered the steak bites with the smoked gouda fondue and we also shared the beet salad with the fried goat cheese. Our bartender recommended that we add chicken to it. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Grey... Five stars on everything from beginning to end. I will be looking forward to meeting the owner again and coming back to this place.
I have lived in wine country for about 8 years by way of San Francisco, Peninsula and originally Santa Cruz. I pride myself on exploring happy hours throughout Nor Cal. This was my 6th visit to Belly, 4 of which were for happy hours. After experiencing north of 100 happy hours throughout California? This is probably the best. Excellent food options, liquor and food and beer is legit. Just come see for yourself
Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom – Review: Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom is known for its fresh, coastal-inspired dishes and vibrant atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of seafood, creative small plates, and flavorful entrees with a West Coast twist. Guests appreciate the quality of ingredients and the innovative flavor combinations. The taproom features a great selection of craft beers, complementing the food well. The ambiance is lively yet comfortable, perfect for casual dining or social outings. Service is typically friendly and efficient. Overall, a popular spot for those who enjoy fresh, flavorful food with a good drink selection in a relaxed setting.
If you enjoy a nice cold beer and sports or a glass of wine after a long day of work to relax your brain, Belly Left Coast Kitchen and Taproom is the place to be! As you can tell from their title “left coast,” they focus their menu and a greater part of their beers and wines towards the west coast like Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii. This is your casual, sit back, and watch tv sort of American restaurant. It has two sides to it. Both of of them have bars. I love the outdoor lights they hang around their sign as well as the general outdoor seating area. It makes the place look very inviting in the evening. It is located in downtown Santa Rosa next to plenty of other restaurants such as Asian, Peruvian, or French food. It is near the old courthouse square, Hotel E, and even the plaza mall. They have parking alongside the streets as well as two parking lots near the old courthouse square which you do pay the meter for. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible. They have 26 beers on tap, specialty cocktails and you can hire them for private events. They have a theme for each day of the week like wine Wednesday and taco Tuesday. As for the food I had the Surf and turf fish tacos and my friend, although I can’t remember the dish name and I don’t think it’s on the menu anymore, had some sort of pasta that was absolutely delicious. It had a kick of spice to it which I loved and I thought it added to the flavor. The picture will be down below. As for the tacos they were also very good although I think they added too much bacon. Other than that the green sauce on the side went well with it and I love the metal holder they have for the tacos. It really reduces the mess and overall has a better look to it. Our waiter was nice and let us take our time. I would recommend trying and I would give this place another chance myself!
The food was great ( pull pork nachos were incredible), the beer selection was on point and the location was perfect! But what I really enjoyed was speaking with the owners and staff! They were so kind and I enjoyed their perspective of Santa Rosa vs the Bay Area. I will look forward to visiting them again next time I’m in the area 👍
A Smash Hit at Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom! If you're in Santa Rosa and craving a truly exceptional burger experience, look no further than Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom. This spot has quickly become a local favorite, and for good reason – especially if you're a fan of a perfectly executed smash burger. I recently had the pleasure of trying their Double Smash Burger, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. From the first bite, you're hit with that incredible combination of crispy, caramelized edges on the patties, juicy, flavorful beef, and perfectly melted cheese. The brioche bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together, and the classic toppings (crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, tangy pickles, and their special sauce) complemented the rich meatiness without overpowering it. It's clear they use high-quality ingredients and pay attention to every detail, resulting in a burger that's both satisfyingly indulgent and incredibly well-balanced. Beyond the burger, Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom offers a fantastic atmosphere. It's lively yet comfortable, with a great selection of local craft beers on tap that pair perfectly with their menu. While the Double Smash Burger is a definite highlight, don't miss out on their 3 Hog Mac n Cheese – it's a rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful dish that's a perfect comfort food indulgence. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you're a burger connoisseur or just looking for a delicious and reliable meal in Santa Rosa, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom a try. Their Double Smash Burger is a definite must-order!
Belly is our favorite espresso martini in Sonoma county. We come on martini Monday to get them, I think they just added them to their menu it’s called the “wake up call”. We seriously can’t get enough of these. Also the pork belly burnt ends are the BEST!! Dynamite shrimp, cheese curds, and the rosemary steak bites are pretty dang good too. We will continue coming here probably twice a month!!
A small unassuming little spot that delivers big on taste . The bar concocted delicious craft cocktails and my husband enjoyed his old fashioned immensely. We had bacon wrapped blue cheese filled dates as a starter. Amazing. I enjoyed their version of a cheesesteak that had a jalapeño beer cheese which was super rich with the sandwich. So good. Salmon w saffron risotto was my husband's choice. Both dishes were incredible. We would definitely return to try other things on this menu which was diverse and extensive.
Came with a group of friends for late happy hour. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and vibe inside, with extended area for seating and additional bar. Plenty of seating. Amicable staff and prompt service. Great selection of beer and drinks, lots of creativity on mixed drinks. Ordered the blackend salmon tacos, which were good but a little too crispy but overall good. Great spot in downtown.
Belly has great food and excellent service in a fun, upbeat atmosphere. This was my first visit so I got a few things to try, planning to take plenty of leftovers with me. I ordered the Three Hog Mac & Cheese, a Belly BLTA, and a side salad with ranch dressing. The Mac & Cheese was amazing, with delicious Applewood smoked bacon and two kinds of chorizo. The BLTA was good but a bit dry and very heavy on lettuce, though the flavors were excellent - add a little more jalapeño mayo so it's less dry and it will be a 5-star entree. Lastly, the side salad was delicious with fresh greens, tomatoes bursting with freshness, and flavorful ranch dressing. I definitely recommend you try Belly Left Coast Kitchen & Taproom for yourself!
This was our 1st time going to this restaurant. Loved the atmosphere, made me feel like I was in a christmas movie. Nice lighting, christmas decor, and a live performer that night was amazing! We ordered the brisket tacos, elote riblets, and a bacon cheeseburger. The food taste incredible, tons of flavor! A bit pricey for the amount of food you get. But we will definitely be back whenever we are back in the area.
In my humble opinion, any restaurant that hangs a picture of Anthony Bourdain over the door to the kitchen deserves my support!! Belly Left is definitely a vibe all it's own! It's a blend of trendy taproom, old school dive bar, fusion food hall and downtown hang out spot! We visited Santa Rosa for the day and decided to sample the local spots so although we didn't have a full meal, we did sit at the bar and have a couple cocktails and a snack. The bartender was efficient and cocktails were fine, he just wasn't really friendly to outsiders, tended to stay hooked in with the locals. We opted for the pork belly because when it's on the menu, who doesn't!! First of all, huge portion for an appetizer, we loved that! Issue was, since they're "burnt ends" there were too many small pieces that were way overcooked, making it more like pork belly jerky. Not a bad thing, just not what quite right! Personal preference and opinion on the sauce, it's quite vinegar forward so just know that going in! All in all, nice experience and would go back.
Stopped in today to just get a quick bite. Ordered from the happy hour menu and got their burger slider. Don't think I've ever had a worse slider. Put something on it besides a burger and lettuce. Could have used some caramelized or pickled onions a little relish catch up or mayonnaise anything but just a piece of meat and lettuce. Was pretty sad. They weren't that busy and the service was pretty darn slow. I know happy hour meals are cheaper but they should still be good.
We have been in twice and the service has been terrible each time. You walk in and they don’t greet you, just stare at you. We were given a couple of menus with no conversation after we set ourselves. We waited approximately 10 mins before the server came to ask if we wanted drinks, my partner asked for a beer menu and he brought one and then walked away for another few minutes. We decided not to order food after getting a beer and a cocktail and paid then went across the street to the Beer Baron. Good service or even decent service makes a big deal in customer retention. I will not waste my time or money again. They have good food but not worth the effort of navigating subpar service.
