We were very lucky to get a quart of pistachio. I never had pistachio soft serve before. It was good. Service was wonderful. The owner was so kind and flexible. He sold us cones and sprinkles so we were able to assemble our deserts in the coolness of our hotel room

Amazing place- great ice cream and scoops are huge. Cold beers with a great view and seating area over the lake. Go in knowing it's bar food, but the food is also AMAZING. fantastic place to unwind after a day on the lake!

Classic ice cream shop with a lake side pavillion-bar serving 3 beers on tap. The ice cream is delicious. The beer is reasonably priced. The view is awesome. The food is tasty. Can't recommend this place enough.

A great family ice cream stand that has been here since the dawn of time. Still looks the same as it did in the early 60s, when I was little. Real nice kids operating the place. The added treat is, going out back to enjoy Lake Flower while you eat whatever treat you picked.

I've been coming to Saranac Lake for years (Rugby) and always drive by this place. Yesterday we stopped for some ice cream and it was great. The spot on the lake is nice and seating is there. Really good spot.

Great soft serve, very creamy. Medium is 3.75 and about the size of your head (or my head at least.) good quality, good quantity, good price. They do the thing where they take tax into account when they price things so the prices seem odd on the board but come out to round numbers after tax. The kids that work there seem nice, they were friendly and quick with their service.

Fantastic place, always changing soft serve flavors, and several hard ice cream options. Good place for a quick bite if your hungry, with several food options. Plenty of boat parking if your out on the lake and need that quick cool down.

I'm diabetic and don't visit ice cream stands very often. I had a reason to celebrate so I stopped in and ordered a large hot fudge Sunday, it was out of this world! Well, my finger pick was 224 that evening so I'M sure I'LL hear about it from my doctor. Sometimes you just need to forgive!

A town favorite for soft serve. Excellent friendly service, beautiful seating. And now offering table service for hot food and adult beverages! Parking can be challenging but worth it!

While the parking isn’t the greatest, I finally stopped to pick up a dish of soft serve ice cream on my way home from camp. They were definitely following all Covid-19 protocols, and I had some scrumptious maple walnut soft serve that was outstanding. I plan to stop by again, despite my lower carb diet!

Excellent ice cream with a ton of choices. There is a little sheltered seating area by the water and you can enjoy the beautiful views while enjoying your ice cream. Highly recommend!

This was some awesome ice cream. As we were in Saranac, we got to stop a couple times here and try some different flavors. I think there was a band playing on top of their Pavillion one evening, too! It was great ice cream, and then a nice spot to sit and enjoy eating it while looking out on the lake. The graham cracker ice cream was absolutely out of this world.

Generous portions and great location right on Lake Flower! If you’ve never tried Mint-ting-a-ling (Perry’s) and are a fan of mint chocolate chip, I’d highly recommend giving it a shot. Had good experiences at both their Saranac and Lake Placid locations. Parking here is relatively limited and lines can get long during peak summer hours, but line moves fast and worth the wait.

Okay. this place has the right idea. To say the Ice cream was generously proportioned would be an understatement. BUT WAIT! THERE IS MORE! They have a bar right on the water. Somehow one of the few we’ve been able to find. The food is typical of the what you would expect, but more than sufficient for the purpose at hand. Great scenery, friendly staff, and a bar…on the lake. Love it!

We went here twice on our vacation. Great location in the lake with seating and a little dock. The food is standard roadside burgers, chicken tenders, fries, mozzarella sticks, etc. — very good! The workers were all very pleasant and polite. Great selection of hard ice cream and a soft serve machine as well.

Cone size inconsistent. Good some days, undersized others. Never want to feel shorted on what you pay for. But sometimes do. Usually good flavor-of-the-day ice creams. Good fish fillets.

We ordered food and ice cream. The fish sandwich and Curley fries poutine were delicious. The ice cream sizes were perfect(kiddie, small) and the sundaes were yummy (brownie and banana split. Only 4 stars because other local ice cream places add more toppings to their sundaes.

Great family ice cream shop with the third generation working there now! Daily flavors and food options as well. They have a parking lot, picnic tables, bathroom, as well as a dock to tie your boat up at! I probably ate here three or four times in a week.

It was a great experience. They had all the flavors you could ever ask for in a serine mountain setting. Great ice cream, great environment, great experience at a great place. Definitely recommend going once and going back again.

Very good frozen custard (a denser soft serve) – espectially black raspberry. Flavors change weekly and for long weekends and the rugby tournament. Homemade ice cream sandwiches quite good. Food forgetable. Crowded parking in a boatyard. Dirty bathroom and decent Lake Flower view in the rear.

The views are stunning, and there’s a wide variety of ice cream flavors to choose from. Super friendly staff. Prices are on the higher side—four small soft-serve cups (three with sprinkles) came to $25—so it’s something to keep in mind when visiting this touristy area. The ice cream was tasty, though as a group we agreed we’ve enjoyed custard ice cream at other spots a bit more. Still, it’s a nice place to stop and enjoy a treat with a beautiful backdrop.

We walked down from our hotel, crossing the street, which was a bit difficult. The sidewalk is only one side, and it is a busy street. When we got there it was slightly confusing for out of towners what to do to order food for ear in, but we did order food and ice cream at the window then we were able to sit with our dog at their lake side deck, which had a small bar. It was only bar stool seating, we did not mind. The view was gorgeous, the staff polite. The food was awesome. I ordered a haddock sandwich, which was fried perfectly and delish! My husband got a burger, which had all the fixings and was cooked perfectly. We shared some loaded fries. We also got milkshakes, a banana, and raspberry, both very delicious! And they have doggy ice cream, which comes with soft serve with a bone in it! I put it at 4 stars only because of the confusion for out of town guests looking to place an order while looking to eat there. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars!

Good ice cream, soft and hard. A baby cone is usually big enough for me; serving size is reasonable, and the kids that work there are nice. Right on Lake Flower, so you get a view. Parking's limited, and caution is required getting in and out during the busy summer season. I haven't tried the other food offerings, but they have a nice new deck, so I probably will...

Icecream was good. Lots of bugs inside the building. Employees weren't too friendly.

Everyone liked their ice cream. I took one star away because of the parking, it's definitely a situation! And took another star away because there was only two hard ice cream flavors to choose from.

Long line, long wait. No hard ice cream. All your flavors are syrup. Waited for 45 min while there was two guys trying to make all the orders. Ended up throwing it out.

Nothing really special about the ice cream. Soft serve with toppings. They were out of bananas and another topping during my visit. Price was good. Nice spot by the lake to sit and eat it. Close enough to town that you can walk it, but there is some construction and no sidewalk on the same side of the road by the marina.

Tourist in town and tried both here and Donnelly's (Pine Cone was always closed with no posted hours). This place definitely has the best location right on the water in downtown Saranac Lake. They have a lot of options and selections as well as food. The soft serve is also $3-$4 per cone depending on size. We had chocolate and vanilla, and everyone declared chocolate the favorite. We went twice to try and buy poutine and every time they were all out of gravy so couldn't do it (probably a blessing in disguise as Dack Shack outside of Placid had INCREDIBLE poutine). Overall I just don't get this place - in the summer you can get $1 soft serve at McDonalds so these are incredibly expensive, and if I am paying for gourmet, Donnelly's was much more creamy and flavorful.

Decent ice cream. Nothing noteworthy about it. My Sunday (brownie hit fudge) was tiny, $6, and barely had any ice cream on it. Overall, not worth the stop. Also awkward parking situation with random boats everywhere, and no lines so people just "get in where you fit in."

For my order, I got a chocolate soft serve dipped in cherry and a small pepsi. The prices were good, and my friends enjoyed what they got (simple twists with sprinkles). However, the first time I was served I was given chocolate with chocolate dip, and when she realized it was wrong I was given chocolate with what was supposed to be a cherry dip... the dip was like wax. Completely clear and flavorless. She also tried charging me for my pepsi again when I said she forgot it. I recommend this place only to people looking for a very minimalistic serve, probably will not go again.

Average flavors,mostly soft serve. Beautiful dog friendly dock to sit and enjoy. It is elevated table seating. Staff wasn’t able to tell me what was in the “panda” flavor which is a bit concerning since they said it may or may not have peanu products for those with a sensitivity.

Extremely limited choice of ice cream. 4 flavor of soft and only one hard. Someone is not paying attention to the basics.

Ice cream was good but the sizes were much smaller than average.

Food was not good. Undercooked meat and overcooked fries. Ice cream was yummy!

Soft serve is terrible, we got pistachio and it was nuclear green, artificial and gross. If you like pistachio ice cream, avoid it. The regular ice cream was alright, but nothing special.

Took vanilla with the hot fudge, and have thrown it away. It’s ok, but nothing special. On the good side- they take cards.

They received an award for best custard but don't sell it. Asked for ice cream in a dish but received it on a cone. Flavor is so-so.

Got lunch and burger, hot dog, and chicken sandwich. Burger had a twist tie in it, chicken did not taste good.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. I was excited to see the improved deck. My daughter and I walked there and got our ice cream. We were then told we could not go onto the deck because it was for food orders only. The employee then refered me to a moldy bird poop covered table to sit on with very little shade. There was zero customers on the deck, and multiple local and tourist customers were turned away because they only wanted ice cream. Mountain Mist is not known for their food.... I will not be returning.
