Baby back ribs, trimmed, w/just enough bbq sauce ( not smothered). Meat so tender & falling off the bone. Yum 😋 True lobster bisque. Not the fake, thick guey stuff, so often served in other places 👍👍🤗 Crab & lobster cakes (2) served w/small green salad was also excellent! 👍👍🤗 The bisque & crab/lobster cakes truly reminded me of Maine & the New England coast. Our server was also excellent. 👍👍🤗 Best of all, we even received a 10% discount AND being a birthday, we had complementary cookies & ice cream 🍨 Overall, an excellent lunch experience. Well done, LALC 👏👍🤗👍 (LALC name...initials of owners, something like that.) Definitely a must return 😋

This downtown Seal Beach restaurant used to be known as "The Backyard," and now goes by "LALC. Apparently, the acronym was formed by the owners' initials. I don't know whether it's under new management (probably it is, but I don't have any evidence for that), but the food in general appears to be the same as that of The Backyard. And that's a good thing, because The Backyard always had a great reputation for great food and reasonable prices. My favorite sandwiches are still there, and they're still delicious as always. I particularly like the pulled pork sandwich, the brisket sandwich, and the Texas tri-tip open sandwich. I'm not a big fan of the very thin fries (your mileage may vary, of course, I know people who love this style), but the sweet potato fries are excellent and therefore my favorite. Highly recommended.

If you're not paying attention you might not even notice this place because it really didn't look like a restaurant on the outside but we dipped in and were pleasantly surprised at the outstanding quality of the food and how fresh it was.

The food was delicious. Cute little restaurant. Kind staff. All of this is reason enough to encourage a visit, but the alien themed bathroom is a must see - the UFO light and the alien in the woods wallpaper was so cool. A treasured find.

Had a great dinner here over the weekend with the family, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and qualify of the food. We tried the buffalo'd deviled eggs which had all our favorites in terms of flavors (blue cheese, dill and buffalo sauce), something unique but overall very good! We shared the Beach Body salad with Chicken and Avocado which was very good, fresh and a good portion for sharing. The homemade honey mustard dressing was very good as well, light and tasty and not too heavy. The open face Santa Maria tri-tip was a magical blend of flavors from the mashed potato's, perfectly cooked Tri-tip and the pickled onions on the top. Overall a great experience and awesome food! There is quite a bit on the menu to select from and some great options for kids as well.

Such a great spot to have a tasty meal after a day at the beach! Loved the lobster roll with a side of sweet potato fries. The lobster roll was made a bit different it was like a chicken salad mix but with lobster and it hit just right on a hot summer day 😋 10/10 will def return

Title: Hidden Gem in Seal Beach! I recently discovered this hidden gem in Seal Beach after my favorite restaurant closed down. What a pleasant surprise it was! Review: My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant while enjoying a leisurely stroll in the downtown area, and we were blown away by the exceptional service and food quality. The Angus Beef Brisket was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. The Brussels sprouts and the biscuit were excellent additions to our meal, adding a delightful touch to our dining experience. Atmosphere: The weather was delightful, adding to the charm of our dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Dining Experience: We were fortunate to arrive just before the rush as there were no empty tables when we visited last Saturday. It's a good thing we beat the crowd - timing truly is everything! Conclusion: I have no hesitation in awarding this restaurant a well-deserved 5-star rating. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Seal Beach. If you're looking for a new favorite spot with top-notch food and service, look no further!

The brunch here is amazing! We got the biscuits and gravy with a scrambled egg, avocado toast, and fruit. Everything came out fast and tasted amazing. The price wasn't bad either. My baby is very picky but tried a bit of everything with a big goofy smile. They have high chairs too if needed. Not crowded, zero wait, and the decor is quaint. Back of the menu has lots of drink options to pair as well. We will definitely be back.

Loved it! Not everyone can get Fish'n'Chips right. They did! I replaced my fries with sweet potato fries and they were awesome. The cole slaw was on point, too. Coming back for sure!

A brand new spot in Seal Beach, the food was second only to the service. With a bar inside serving beer and wine, open with an adult beverage before savoring some delicious dishes. Everything we had was great. Going back for takeout with the BBQ feasts. Use the restroom. Take in the wall paper. Laugh. Tip well. Come again.

Excellent food and service! Definitely recommend the Angus tri tip dip bbq sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich! The meat was perfectly done, not too much bbq sauce so you can taste the flavor of the meat. Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries were also amazing!

This place was great! Fresh ingredients and food was well seasoned and delicious. Would definitely come back and try more things on the menu. This was our first time here and we ordered salad, Mac and cheese, and fish and chips. Also very affordable.

What a cute and cozy place near the beach! Loved the ambience. It was not crowded, so my son and I received excellent service. The street corn was amazing. I had the crab and lobster cakes and a cup of clam chowder. Everything was well prepared and delicious. I savored every bite. If i had any complaint, I wish there had been one more crab cake. They were so yummy! My son ordered the French dip. Good portion size. I took a bite of his and loved the rich, smoky flavor of the meat and broth. I will definitely return next time I come to visit.

We ordered clam chowder the soup was very tasty but not hot almost like a room temperature. The meat in the tacos had no flavor. Just meat not even salted properly. I was surprised a bit with the food taste. Service was excellent sweet waiter.

What should have been a great takeout meal sucked bc they forgot the salad dressing completely. Additionally, the pecans were raw, not even toasted and there was barely any feta 😝
