Great meal with our family! Can always count on decent dishes here - had best service! Will come again!

I very much enjoyed my visit. My server Braeden was very attentive and continuously came back to make sure our family was satisfied. The restaurant had a stellar ambiance that said we are professional but here to have a good time. Smiles all around! I can’t think of one moment I was not totally satisfied. Give that kid a raise, he is the character companies are built on.

I was in town and love Macaroni Grill, so, despite the iffy reviews on Yelp I decided to come with my husband anyway. I have NO clue what anyone else on Yelp was talking about! The food was AMAZING, the staff was AMAZING, and specifically our waitress Sydney was AMAZING. I can just say that if you are a Macaroni Grill fan like me or you just want some great Italian food, you should come! My husband got the Chicken Marsala and I got the penne Rustica per Sydney’s recommendation!

What a great place for a mid-week date night….food is great, the Service was even better!! Our waitress Zia gave us the best recommendations for apps (stuffed mushrooms and Brussels sprouts)….made our night with outstanding service!!

This was my favorite Italian restaurant for so long until the location in Houston closed down. It had been about 10 years since I had seen a Macaroni Grill. It was just as good as I had remembered! (I ordered Penne Rustica) Definitely will be coming back!!

It has been awhile since we eaten at Macaroni Grill... I have to say I've missed my favorite dish, Penne Rustica. GREAT Service (Ashley) was wonderful. Definitely coming back.

Great service our server/Bartender Kristine was an absolute delight the food was delicious and very fresh she went out of her way to make our meal enjoyable. I didn't leave 5 stars because the woman shown below(employee) was visiting at the bar with a friend and insisted he get a discount because they are friends. I usually find this unprofessional just handing out discounts. When other people are sitting close by. I didn't appreciate it

Service was prompt and quick. Friendly people and courteous. The food was amazing, I had the mushroom ravioli and it was scrumptious. The flavor seemed to explode out of the raviolis. If you like mushrooms, you must try this dish. Of course I always follow it up with cheese cake. As the photo shows. Very yummy, creamy and smooth.

Amazing food and good prices, especially if you have the coupons. Way better than olive garden and it was nice and calm since only a few people were there. My server was amazing, so I made sure to leave a nice tip. Loved the chicken parmesan and chocolate cake.

My wife and I had not been to Macaroni Grill for 5+ years before we went two months ago. It was pretty late, so we didn’t know if it would be crowded or not. Turns out there were not many people inside. We decided to sit in the bar because we wanted some drinks. To my wife’s surprise, we got bottle service! She was very impressed by this. We had more than enough drinks for the night, and the food was really good. I don’t remember what my wife got, but I got the spaghetti and meatballs and it was really good. I would certainly go back again for that dish. And the bar was beautiful. The interior of Macaroni Grill has always been above the standard.

I've been coming here for years, but have never submitted a review. I absolutely love it here! It is my official "must have my birthday meal here" restaurant! My beautiful Daughter treated me to another marvelous meal recently. ❤ I have loved every meal I have had here and appreciate the attentive and friendly staff. I adore the house olive oil and always add extra to my meal. My create a pasta dish was amazing and I will be sure to have it again! Thank you!

My husband and I had recently dined here for our 20th Anniversary. Our first romantic dinner was here 21 years ago. Of course, we've been here multiple times, but this year was extra special. And service and food have always been great. Thank you for making our Anniversary special. 03/17/23

This was our 1st time to this location. The atmosphere was very inviting. Reese, our waitress, made us feel very welcome as soon as we walked through the front door. We had the buffalo chicken sandwich with truffle fries, and lobster bisque and Caesar salad. It was delicious and fresh. So good we forgot to take pictures! We definitely will return to this location. The food was good and everyone: the chef, the bar tender, to our favorite waitress, was very personable. We would recommend this place to friends and families. Thumbs up 👍👍👍

I went to Macaroni Grill tonight for my birthday and our server was Mr. Vicente. He was totally awesome. I have never had a server better than he. He was very fast, very cordial, and just overall a very good person. One of us had left our doggie box on the table and he came out, while we were talking by our vehicles for about 5 minutes, to hunt us down to give it to us. We could not believe that. Thank you so much, Mr. Vicente. You are a true asset to Macaroni Grill.

Great dining experience. Prices were right, selections were great. The only thing is the dipping oil for the bread was a little bitter. Maybe a different brand of oil might help.. something more buttery in flavor or it was exposed to air. I'll definitely come back. Thank you!

This was our first time eating at Macaroni Grill. We loved it! The food was fresh & fantastic. Erin was amazing! Every order was perfect. She was incredibly patient and helpful; taking time to answer menu and wine selection questions. Our group absolutely enjoyed the evening even more because of her.

We had the bruschetta, Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Scaloppine. It was excellent across the board! We go out to eat about twice a week and it’s been years since we had such a fabulous waitress! Leah was outstanding! She was joyful, attentive, knew every detail of the menu, and was just a true delight to meet! We will definitely be back!

Macaroni Grill has always been a favorite of ours because of their menu and ambiance (for at least 15 years)! We weathered some tough times with them when they seemed to be sliding downhill, but I think those days are behind them. The last two times we’ve been have been the best experiences and best food in all the time we’ve been going. Tonight, at the Selma Macaroni Grill on Agora Parkway, we had the most amazing wait-professional, Edith! She knew the perfect balance of being friendly and personal... and so conscientious and sensitive to every table she was tending to! The manager, Michelle, also was very engaged in what was going on in the dining room and she made us feel that it was really important to her that her customers were happy and being given the best service possible! It makes us so happy that they’re back to being even better than the amazing restaurant we fell in love with!!!

This review is 3 months overdue, sorry about that, but I couldn't not let the wonderful customer service of this location go unrecognized. My out of town fiancé, the manager & several servers coordinated a surprise proposal for me!! It was wonderfully planned and beautifully executed. The managers & staff go above and beyond to make experiences truly special, thank you all!

My family and I had such an enjoyable dining experience today! The spinach artichoke dip was delicious, the salmon seasoned and juicy and the fresh cheese was an amazing bonus. Our server was Karissa. She was nothing short of AMAZING! Attentive, friendly, offered suggestions and knew the menu well. We will definitely be coming back. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

We just finished eating here with Reese as our server. She was amazing she took the time to ask us about our daughter and get our order in a timely manner. Also she never let our drinks get empty and our table to never get crowded with empty plates. I will be coming back very soon thank you for the amazing service and food!

The manager, Teresa, was so extremely friendly and filled with so much joy! Her personality is infectious! She shared she just moved to SA, and I’m excited to see what she will bring to the Romano’s location here! Sky, our server was such a hard worker with great work ethic. She was very informative of what food was being offered and you could tell worked her very hardest and always does. Today, preparing our food we actually had the GM Kenny on staff today and we felt special knowing that he was here working and serving us today! The food was exquisite and we couldn’t ask for better tasting food, better service, or a better experience and will definitely be back soon!

My son and I went on a Friday night. It wasn't too busy. The chef lady made our experience, she came by our table and chatted with us. She was very nice to my son, he really liked her. The food was delicious. I had the mushroom ravioli and loved it. The Caesar salad was ok. Service was fine. I'd go back because of how nice the chef was and to try more items on the menu.

Was there for a Church Women's Christmas dinner. Everything about that night was great. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile & directed to my seat. Waiting staff were great, sweet & ready to serve. We had to wait sometime for our salad & dinner entree to come out but the food was delicious. A little tight in the party area but overall food was good, staff was friendly & kind, atmosphere was great. Will definitely be returning.

We hadn't been to a macaroni grill in a few years because they weren't in our locations but last night was nice. Our waiter was very polite. My build your own pasta was good. The salmon from my husband's Alfredo fish was really good and the bread was actually better than I remember. We won't go so close to closing time but we'll go back for sure.

Food was delicious and hot. We had a large group of 35 people and everyone received their food in great condition. Our server was very attentive to my demanding Grandfather, which allowed me to stay and enjoy my food. Would have given 5 stars except with a group as big as ours during dinnertime, the Manager should have placed 2 servers to keep our tables clear, as well as get our orders in and out, in a shorter period of time.

My daughter and I had an early dinner on a hot summer day in July 2023. The restaurant was pleasantly uncrowded, and the dishes we ordered turned out to be quite filling for both of us. We particularly enjoyed the freshly baked bread, which we savored with Italian herbs and olive oil. To top off the meal, we decided to take the chocolate dessert home, where we paired it with some creamy vanilla ice cream, a delightful suggestion from my daughter. We're eagerly looking forward to our next dining experience, and perhaps, we'll visit Macaroni Grill in Allen, TX next time.

Enjoyed a quiet and cozy family dinner. We went on a weekday and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was polite and chill. The food was hot when served but it did take a while for our meals even with appetizers. The portion size for the alfredo is large and ended up taking a to-go box. They have a bar to sit at, booths, and tables. There is a fireplace in the back that they fire up when the weather cools. If you dine in on a Friday or weekend it will be crowded and there is a long wait. They do not take reservations these days.

Always have a good experience here. Our waiter Jay was excellent. The truffle mac and cheese was delicious (add prosciutto!), but wish it had some sauce. It was hard to find the sausage in the Sausage Rigatoni and was a bit bland. Salads are super tasty and the house dressing is kicky and yummy! Table bread nice and fluffy soft. Cannolis are as they should be. Have some wine!

After reviewing prior reviews, I tailored my ordering accordingly. There is a wait, even with empty tables. We ordered the antipasti special (choose two) and went with marinara cheese sticks and macaroni cheese bites (two for $10.50), and they arrived promptly and were hot and delicious. For an entree I went with the farmhouse pizza - you can never go wrong with pizza right? It was pretty good and it didn't break the bank. The rest of the party had chicken marsala (lacked flavor, but wasn't horrible) and chicken fettuccini (was good). Servers were excellent and very attentive, and the restaurant was clean. Would definitely go back for pizza

Artichoke & Spinach Dip was great! The butternut tortellacci was great. The build your own pasta makes a great and tasty dish to your likings. Restaurant is currently hiring all positions, so the cleanliness could be much better, appetizer plate was not fully cleaned, which that should have been caught when setting up the table. The window blinds are very dusty.

I had Valentine's Day dinner with my husband here. This was our first time at any Romano's and overall it was a good experience. * Pros: Dominic was out server; Very attentive, very accommodating, very friendly & patient! Salad was fresh. Calamari was great. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Tables were well spaced so you had personal space. * Cons: Bring a jacket it is very cold inside. Salmon was overcooked and charred, definitely not the best. Red dipping sauce for the calamari was more like a dry, lumpy salsa. Shrimp Alfredo was a bit salty. Overall, a pretty good evening, my hubby and I will be back on a day Dominic is working 👍

The service was excellent, but the food is not up to the standard the restaurant had back in the day. (1990s?) I was a little disappointed that we pay this much and I just feel like it should be better. The bread was dry. The chicken was overcooked. (They did replace it, and it was better but small.) They were missing the lobster bisque, which was probably amazing, but we'll never know. Overall, the experience was disappointing except for the servers. I did get a 10% military discount, so at least there's that.

It had been years since we've eaten there due to the quality of the food. Received a coupon in the mail so decided to try it again. We were Absolutely satisfied with our meals today. Yes, we would go back. My only peeve is that the waiter and waitress would sanitize their hands after touching their nose and mouth areas. The new trainee touched his nose continuously.

I came here. To test out an Italian restaurant I had the Spaghetti. It took a little bit to be waited on. The Waitress was nice and considerate when she came. When I saw my entree, it looked magnificent. When I tasted it , I had to add salt and pepper. The Bread was good. A bit of Seasoning would go a long way. I should never have to add salt and pepper. Then only reason this is 4 stars not 5.

M
Marissa Harris

The bread was delicious and the coloring table cloth was entertaining. The Signature Mac and Cheese Bites were good, along with the Baked Prosciutto and Mozzarella Antipasti. But the grilled chicken in my Pollo Caprese was rubbery and unappetizing.

S

Walked up to the ToGo area, service was a little slow. They only had catering menus out on display in this area. Requested a “regular“ menu and it seemed as if I asked them for something special. Decent amount of food for me to eat for dinner and again for lunch the next day. Food was missing garlic flavor, but luckily I have some powered garlic at home.

I took my son for dinner, and it was a nice night. We got there about an hour before they closed, so there were only a few occupied tables. Our server was friendly and made the night enjoyable. If you're interested, he got the seafood ravioli and I got the penne rustica. I also had a Fellini, which was ~ok ~.

We recently celebrated my sister's birthday here, and our evening was made memorable thanks to the exceptional service from our host and waiter, Fisher. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Fisher went above and beyond, even offering to store our birthday cake in the fridge to keep it fresh for later. Despite the restaurant's air conditioning being out of order, which could have easily dampened the mood, Fisher’s positive attitude and excellent service ensured we still had a great time. He checked on us frequently, making sure we were comfortable throughout the evening. The food was mostly good; I had the Salmon, which was well-prepared and flavorful. My wife tried the Chicken Marsala, which, unfortunately, wasn’t our favorite. But overall, Fisher's outstanding service more than made up for it. His attention to detail and commitment to making our experience special really stood out. We truly appreciated his efforts and would definitely return, hoping to see him again.

Sides and service was good ..Mane meals not so much and no dessert available .There menu is small and offers less than the same chains up north ..I was expecting the food too be the same but falls a bit short here ,Maybe why so slow on a Friday

We can't live on bread alone! We appreciated the service that the young man provided however, I must be honest with my review....As we waited 20 minutes to be seated (in an almost empty restaurant) after being told it would be 45min wait, we almost left. The server was polite and he was trying hard. We felt water dripping from the large pipes above us and as we mentioned it he said there was nothing he could do for us but would tell his manager. We asked to be moved but the manager said they know it happens. So, this review is about the food which was decent. Some of the dishes were short on sauce but our server brought a side portion to make up for it. I just feel like it this place used to be a nice place but is lacking something that I just can't put my finger on. The prices? Were average but I'm guessing since our experience was not all that great made the dining below average. This was my second time giving this place another try, sad to say I will not be returning.

✅Atmosphere, Wait Time, Service, Taste ❌Food Poisoning We had a large group of about 20 or so people go for the first time because they accepted reservations unlike most restaurants in the area. It was all set up when we arrived with our group and the waitress got our orders and drinks out in a timely manner for such a large group. The food arrived looking and smelling great, I had the Calamari with my friend & Truffle Macaroni as my main course as I have pictured in the review. I ate most of the macaroni but got very full since we had bread and oil + drinks while waiting for our entrees. The taste was a bit off to what I was comparing to in my experiences in trying truffle oil but again, it was my first time here and people make their sauces differently so I don’t think much of it. We got our checks and left, everything was great, I even took my leftovers home because I did enjoy my pasta but got too full to finish. Well, fast forward 6 hours later and I experience food poisoning. Now I wouldn’t leave a review knowing it was contracted from somewhere else of course, but I literally didn’t eat anything afterwards for the whole night and it had been hours since I had lunch (too long passed to experience food poisoning at that point). So that’s how I spent my night into this morning now leaving this review. No one else I know of got sick in my group so I’m glad it was just my plate. It wasn’t the calamari (which was great) because as I mentioned my friend and I shared that and she didn’t get sick. Overall the atmosphere of this restaurant was awesome, it was a Saturday night and they were not crazy busy and loud like most upscale chain restaurants. The service was great and the food was too, I just wish I didn’t have to deal with the aftermath of food poisoning :/

Stopped by this place because we were in the area and it was Saturday night 8ish pm. Parking lot was almost empty, we were not sure the place was open. Once we went inside there were maybe 3 or 4 tables seated. I remember loving this place ( the Huebner Oaks location) and figured it can't be that bad. We'll, considering that the place was not busy and it appeared as if they had adequate staff, the whole experience was subpar. Let's start with good part - $20 bottle of Malbec was pretty good for the price, caprese salad was really good (it had some arugula on the plate as well), their bread is always amazing...lobster bisque tasted great, but came out luke warm...steak was cooked perfectly but the broccolini was way undercooked. Chicken dish was literally thrown together, missing capers and half the mushrooms were still dry as if they just threw them on top at the end without sautéing them at all with the rest. Pasta was served dry with whatever little bit of sauce dripped on it when they placed it on. The dish tasted ok, but the presentation was terrible. Let the server know; they offered to bring me some capers on the side, I declined because it's not the same as having those sautéing with the rest of the ingredients in the sauce. I was not sending the dish back or asking for anything different, just wanted to bring it to their attention. Anyways, poured our own wine the entire time ( I know this isn't a fine dining place, but if the staff is just standing around, they could at least pour the wine once in a while). Having worked in restaurant business in the past, I had expected management to stop by after the complaint, not to comp anything or give free stuff - it's just good business. I don't know how their business is on other days, but if it's as dead as it was Saturday night, I'd suggest they look at changing some things because their food is not bad, menu has good options, and the place is nice inside. Staff was nice and friendly, but could be a bit more attentive.

I really want to give them 5 stars but the day my husband and I went there it was the coldest day in TX.and their heater was not working. I asked for soup hoping by ordering soup I would warm up, but it was so cold my soup only stayed warm for 5 minutes. We got our food which was good, but because their was no heat in the building we had to leave with our cold food. I felt sorry for the workers because they were trying to warm up. To the owner of Macaroni Grill... You would probably get more customers if you 1 fix the heater. Customers would like a warmer environment to eat when it's cold outside and 2 fix your sign outside. Some of the lights are out and it is not good advertising to those driving by.

They were a bit understaffed for a weekend. The service and food were decent.

We ordered delivery. Thankfully we had a promo but even then, we paid $80 for food that was worth maybe half that. This is the definition of "it was bigger in the picture" and portions were lacking. Brussels sprouts had their stem ends intact. Pasta was good but at $27 each, seemed small in already small take-out tins. Crispy mozzarella triangles were more like mozzarella thumbprints. No idea if eating in would have been a better experience with more food/more value but I'm not encouraged to come back. Last time I ate at a Macaroni Grill was back east, probably six years ago and it's sadly a night and day difference now.

N

The restaurant is clean--which is a plus. The attentiveness of the wait staff is okay. They serve a bread while you wait for your order but it is a little too hard. The food is very delicious, however, the portions are very small compared to the amount of money you pay for it. The dish I ordered was $9 for the lunch portion but the portion was more like a toddler's portion. Also, my sister-in-law and I were the first ones to arrive after the restaurant opened but still took quite a while for our meals to arrive.

No wait time on a Sunday made it worth staying to eat. Chicken Parmesan was flavorful but the spaghetti did not have enough sauce.

S
Stacy Crockett

The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. Our waiter often was hard to find and once we had paid the check it was as though we'd disappeared - no more drink refills, he never came back to our table. Our waiter even told us that he was in a competition with the other waiters for a $50 gift card so if we could help him out and buy a dessert that would be great. Not a great experience.

L

It's just ok. I haven't been to a macaroni grill outside of Tampa since I last ate at one in 2013. It wasn't very good, or as good as I remember. Maybe five tables with patrons @ 6pm on a weekend night and slow service. Staff were nice and kept us updated with the order and all, but food was just adequate. Is it worth the price? probably not.

Very Disappointed, my husband and I Were looking forward to an amazing pasta dish.... WERE! He ordered an Italian soda, Fettuccine Alfredo With Grilled shrimp... I ordered the salmon and it came with sun dried dish that was too spicy/peppery for me. My salmon also had little red pepper flakes, and the small Fettuccine Alfredo I ordered was rather dry. 20 minutes later...Husband still hadn't received his drink, I was almost at half a glass of sweet tea.. The caprese salad had been waiting to be brought to our table as well.. When the server came to our table my husband asked if that was our caprese salad that had been waiting for a While.. She went and got that portion of our order and then we asked about my husband soda.. she went to the bar looking around, she made it herself and brought it to the table. The tomatoes were very soft and mushy for me.. not really impressed. My husband's order... bowl comes out and it has the little shrimp in it, he mentions to the server that he ordered Grilled Shrimp.. her response was" that's sauteed Without tails" We know what it was, he mentioned, "I ordered Grilled shrimp " She said "you still want them even if they have tails"? So to say the least... waiting even longer now for the Grilled Shrimp... It wasn't her call to not order what my husband requested. Lastly, mens restroom was dirty and unkept.

I was expecting so much more. I've been told by people that it was a good restaurant they had good food I didn't quite find that all to be true the service was mediocre at Best Buy some very distracted Young Folks that couldn't take their heads out of their phones long enough to even see if we had Bread on our table or to check on drinks regularly the variety of dishes that we ordered to include two soups where were extremely extremely salty and the waitress seemed to take offense that I said the soup is salty. We also ordered a few appetizers, , my daughter ordered the combination platter my wife a fish dish and I ordered a shrimp and pasta dish to include a glass of wine. As far as price point for the food we got it was a little on the pricey side came in at around $40 a head plus tip it was a week before Christmas so ain't maybe they had their special holiday menu out. Between the service or lack thereof the food and the price point I don't think I will be going back to Romano's Macaroni Grill anytime soon. I may at some point in the future go back only because I say every restaurant can have a bad night

I'll start with the positive. The Staff was friendly and the building appeared clean. The desserts were good. For the negative, the wait for food was over an hour. We sat and watched other guest sit down, order, eat, pay and leave. Drinks for the most part remained empty for much of that time. When the food finally started to come out it was one plate at a time. There was about a 30 minute gap between the first plate and the last. The food was bland and overcooked. My daughter ordered a steak medium rare and it came out well done. After waiting that long she didn't want to send it back. Most of the pastas were sauceless. I mean to the point our waiter had to bring the sauce out for us. It felt like they forgot about our order then rushed it. If the place was packed I'd understand it but it was nearly empty. The person who I assumed was the manager came to check on us. We were already grumpy but she remained pleasant and helpful. She assisted us in getting the last of our food about an hour and half after we ordered.

The meal was fine we ordered tiramisu an canoli deserts to take home. What mede it into our to go bag was mozzarella sticks.

My husband and I have eaten here once or twice a year for many years and have always enjoyed it. Our experience on Saturday Feb 22, 2025 was terrible. We were seated at a booth near the kitchen, which is our preference. Right away, it was freezing. As it was cold outside as well, we figured they just needed to turn up the heat. When we inquired we were told there was no heat! The server came by and took our drink and appetizer order. Brought waters and my husband’s beer but not my iced tea. I let it pass since I had the water. About 10 minutes later she came by our table to ask what we ordered as an appetizer since she had forgotten. We told her again and also told her we were ready to order our meals. She took our order then I asked if they had hot tea. She said yes, they had a great earl grey so I asked her to bring that. She never did. While we waited for our appetizer, the table behind us was speaking to the manager about their wait and the lack of good service. As we waited, a single customer who came in after us that she was serving, ordered her meal, received it, ate and left. We still had not received our appetizer. Then she walked by the kitchen and asked the cook how much longer on our appetizer as we had been waiting for some time. He told her 5 minutes. About 10 minutes later we got our appetizer. Eating what we wanted, we felt sure that our meals should be delivered at any time but we were there a full hour before our meals were served. And they weren’t correct. SERIOUSLY!!! The server blamed the kitchen, but they brought what was missing. We ate and left without complaining because it honestly felt as if every table she served had at least one person in the party talking to the manager and I didn’t want to be the reason she lost her job but GOOD HEAVENS! Get some heat and hire better!

My wife and I went here for an anniversary dinner, we drove from San Marcos instead of going to Olive Garden. I was telling my wife how I used to eat at the macaroni grill as a kid in Houston and it was really good, so I wanted her to try it. I learned to leave my memories in the past tonight. Upon entering, it was very cold. I would say it was easily fifty degrees inside, I'm guessing their heater isn't working. We were sat at a booth that had tears in the green material, so it did not give a good first impression. Our waiter was really good, he was courteous, and charming, but that was the highlight of the entire experience. All I could think about while eating their funky tasting signature macaroni bites and their severely overcooked lasagna noodles, was why didn't we just hit up Olive Garden? I will give them credit for their bread, it was fairly good, but that's it. I would probably say, just find another spot to eat at, I don't think this place will last another five years without signification intervention.

It's been awhile since we last visited this location.. today it was not very busy yet the good lacked in flavor.. the kitchen took over 45 min to bring out out entrées. When my husband received his Trio it was cold. Even after all that our server Damien was great he kept checking on us.. Very disappointed in out visit. In the photo is the amount of garlic in my chicken marsala..

I ordered it via Uber Eats and it was the worst experience with Macaroni Grill I’ve ever experienced. The pasta didn’t have any sauce and the chicken was noticeable burnt and super dry. Needless to say, I was initially so happy to see one in my area, only to be disappointed. I would not recommend carry-out orders.

Not impressed with the chicken Marsala- the taste was not off but the sauce was not a gravy consistency, more like just chicken broth and Marsala wine. Whole garlic cloves, not minced. Most disappointing part was that it was served with cut up and majorly soggy noodles, as if they were taken from someone’s half eaten plate and put on my mine. For a $22 plate, I expected better. You’ll find better chicken Marsala at Olive Garden 💔 Shelbie was a lovely server though and the cosmo was tasty :)

Your staff and management needs training, your quality of product is under standard, charging $14 for the diah at the picture is unacceptable. I told my server about the bad tasting of the complementary old bread and his answer was “I just pulled it out of the oven any other will be the same way” maybe pulled out from reheating it but it wasn’t fresh AT ALL.

ZERO Stars. 4 ravioli for $21. Two of which weren’t even stuffed. 100% ripoff. It happened to be a takeout order or it would have been sent back.

One would think Macaroni Grill would learn and improve given the feedback. That does not seem to be happening here. First of all, we had a problem with both the service and the food, with the service being the worst. We have dined here serval times and the service has be poor on occasion, but the food has been good. This time the service was horrible and the food not good. My wife and I ordered Chicken Parmesan and I got the Unlimited Salad. It took 20 mins to get my salad. The salad was sitting on the counter for over 10 mins and I was calling the server and he ignored me. Finally another employee heard me and got my salad, followed immediately by our Chicken Parm. The chicken was burnt, really burnt. I have pics to show it. The server was gone and I was hungry so I ate some of it. It was not good. I could not get another salad because the server was not around, and I could not complain about the burnt chicken. Finally, about 20 mins later, the server returned and asked if we needed to go boxes and seemed to really want to get rid of us. This server had a trainee with him and the trainee brought the boxes and check to the table, so out of kindness, I did not want to complain to them. This was a very unpleasant dining experience and I feel like compensation and corrective action is needed. I sent a complaint to Macaroni Grill corporate, but seems they either do not care or have too many complaints to handle because after 14 days I did not receive a response. Macaroni Grill is suppose to be a high quality Italian restaurant, at least the higher menu prices would indicate that. That being said, I would expect the dining experience to reflect that. My visit did not support this. Ordered the Crate Your Own Pasta with mushrooms. asparagus and broccolini. This is a unique dish that allows for customer creativity in selecting their options. Also ordered the "Unlimited Soup and Salad", and asked for the Lobster Bisque and a garden salad as the server seemed very please that Macaroni Grill offered both. The server told me the soup would be right out. 20 minutes later I got the soup. Four minutes after that I got the entre. Never got the salad and asked for it again. Was told it would be right out. Meanwhile, I started eating the pasta, but there was no broccolini, that I ordered, in it. In addition, the asparagus was very hard and uneatable. Ten minutes later the salad arrived. When the server delivered my salad I told and showed her the asparagus and she said she would tell the manager. I did not mention the absence of broccolini in the pasta with everything else going on. The server never asked if I wanted anything else and we got the feeling she wanted to rush us out of the restaurant. There were only two other tables occupied at the time. The servers do not write any orders down on paper and this is a very silly given that they do not get the order correct. Also, my wife told me the bathroom smelled old and dirty. The only reason I gave two stars rather than one is because my wife liked her pasta.

Excruciatingly slow service. Food was expensive ($100.00 + for lunch for two people) and not even mediocre. Automatic 20% tip added because we were part of a party and then they wanted another tip per individual tab into which I clearly wrote 0.00 and got a mean look. What a load of croc. The sad thing is they get away with it. Very disappointed and will not be back nor will I recommend it.

It was my first time trying this restaurant and it will probably be my last. The restaurant was pretty empty and things were moving slow. We were in no rush so we had no problem waiting. The waitress then came over and offered us a free appetizers for being patient. She took our order and went on her way. She took forever talking with another customer and would disappear for long periods of time. I watched as our appetizers sat on the counter getting cold. After that the food still took a while before we finally got our main dish. The food was just ok. Worth $20+? No. My friend got the alfredo and it was so dry so she asked for extra sauce... girl disappears. By the time she came back (without the sauce may I add) we were ready for our bill. I ate less than half my dish and she ate probably to bites of her food. We did not take our food to go. Discounts were offered which helped but it was a terrible experience.

Hands down the wort experience we've had at a restaurant, in hindsight I realize why the place was absolutely empty for Sunday night dinner. We went to celebrate my daughters 14th birthday with 9 guests. Our waitress told us multiple times that this was only her 2nd day (this review is not against her) She had ZERO support for someone who has never worked there, but we the paying customer were the ones that suffered because of that. Everything from drinks to appetizer to the meal took twice the time it should. Our appetizers all came out 10 -15 minutes after eachother and heres the funny part each time an appetizer came out it was the same thing but they called it something different. When we complained the manager had the audacity to come to our table and school us on what each appetizer was! She literally brought a plate with the appetizers to show us! My jaw was on the floor! She came out like a school yard bully to teach us a lesson as a manager when is reality her team didn't know what was what and caused the confusion. On top of that they were out of multiple things, 2 appetizers we ordered they were out of and we weren't told until we waited for them for 10-15 minutes. The whole experience felt like we were on a prank show to see how we would react, it was genuinely surreal and I should have listened to my husband and walked out after the appetizer fiasco.

Horrible! First time getting it and got it to go. Bread was rock hard with mold and pasta had no sauce and two pieces of chicken! Worse pasta I’ve ever had!

I am not someone who likes to leave negative reviews but we had the absolute worst experience on Valentine’s Day, order took over an hour in a restaurant that felt like it had more staff than customers due to a lost ticket. We had to take our food to go because we had to get our kids home. Not only did they still manage to charge full price for the food they charged 25% gratuity, due to being Valentine’s Day I suppose. $100 for food we were in able to enjoy. Absolute worst dinning experience

Ordered chicken fettuccine with mushrooms, no mushrooms were added to my order. Ordered a salad with my meal, salad never made it to the table. Was given a free dessert for not getting my salad, they were out of the one l picked, Then was charged for it on my bill. They had the nerve to ask how my eating experience turned out. Overall experience horrible, terrible, and not worth the price they finally charged me. I left with an very bad attitude..... ILL NEVER EAT HERE IN MY LIFETIME AGAIN..... ( NOR SHOULD YOU )

Review at Open table: I have only eaten at this restaurant ONCE since I moved to San Antonio in 1999 and there’s a reason. However, I thought I would give them a chance at redemption and they FAILED MISERABLY! They totally messed up my plans for an enjoyable date night. We made an early dinner reservation because it was customer appreciation night with a free entrée of spaghetti and meatballs. The restaurant was NOT busy (quite a few open tables) when we arrived, yet the hostess was telling a couple, that was in line in front of us, that she wasn’t sure if she could seat them because they had so many reservations booked. The couple was seated promptly and then we were seated immediately without issue, as we had booked the reservation. It took the waiter 10 minutes to even greet us at our table and take our drink order. He couldn’t even tell me whether or not they make a frozen margarita. He left the table and walked around aimlessly before retuning with our waters and said he’d be right back with our cocktails. He disappeared. We had to flag down the manager to ask for straws for our waters because the waiter did not return right away with our drinks. Another 15 minutes pass and the waiter comes back to our table WITHOUT our cocktails. He made the excuse that he was waiting tables AND was the bartender for the night, then took our food order and said, “I will be right back with your drinks” a second time. At this point, I am thinking to myself, “How can the bartender not know whether or not they make a frozen margarita?” By this time, we had been at the restaurant for over 30 minutes with only waters and had barely placed the food order. We decided to cancel the food and cocktail orders and dine elsewhere.

Over priced for below mid quality food. Stated a new $100 gift card had a $0 balance. Customer Service number is out of service and there is no way to contact them. Rewards program is a joke.

Came for the first time in years and this place has gone down hill. Service wasn't good(waitress was sitting on her phone most of the time), when my husband asked for tomato basil soup they served him what looked, tasted and smelled like tomato sauce, and when it came to trying to leave waitress was no where to be found to get to go containers or the bill. Another waiter that seated us was awesome and got us what we needed while the waitress was busy talking and texting. Was very disappointed in the service we received.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! If I could give a zero star, I would. We ordered our food Dec. 9, 2021. Food was cold and insanely covered in salt. Found a dead cockroach in my fettuccine Alfredo. When my dad brought the bowl up to the manager, the manager claimed “it wasn’t there before”. Photo attached. Pathetic restaurant, pathetic management. We’ve already reached out to the health inspector and plan to shut the place down.

My mom really enjoyed the Thanksgiving meal she had here in previous years, so we decided to have our Thanksgiving here. Right off they tried to seat us in the bar. I asked if they could seat us at one of the handful of open tables in the dining room, (since it’s our family’s Thanksgiving) got some excuse, but then they sat the three of us at a six top. All fine, but they had the emergency door right next to us open & my 80 yo mom was feeling the chill, & the breeze was blowing our paper tablecloth around. Our server said the staff were hot, but was nice enough to close it a little, which worked fine. My mom got the lobster bisque, but no spoon. Our server was nowhere, so my mom found another server, who said they’d be right back over. After a few minutes, my mom was drinking the soup from the bowl, b/c she didn’t want it to get cold. The other server finally came over & told us they were OUT OF SPOONS, but they were washing them up. My mom NEVER got a spoon the entire time we were there, so she continued to drink it from the bowl. The meal was ok, not worth $34, but the inattentive service from the second we walked in the door was the ball buster. There were other, smaller mixups, that we just started laughing off because we didn’t want to ruin our holiday. I wouldn’t recommend this place and I know my mom (and probably all of her friends) will not be back.

Service was shotty at best. Waitress forgot about the drinks we ordered and the food was extremely cold. It took about 30-45 minutes to get our food which didn’t make sense because there were only about 10-15 people in the restaurant. I must add the manager came out and apologized and gave us 50% off our meal. I don’t think we’ll be going back to this restaurant anytime soon.

Management couldn't care less but the only star goes to Tyler. This was our first and last time here. Looked real slow for a Saturday night but I see why. Took a couple min to be seated and 10 min for someone to greet us. Tyler (not a server) politely greeted us and apologized for the wait. There were maybe 3-6 servers who couldn't be bothered. Bruschetta took a while for only being bread and tomatoes. Could have used some balsamic glaze, at least. Kids food was bland as well. My plate was certainly overpriced for how mid it was. I think little Caesars has better Italian food and service.

Awful... came in just after 8pm and the waiter was great. Food was less than favorable even eatable. Had to order several different plates and still they couldn't bring fresh food. 😒 I've been here prior many of times this time they just didn't deliver. I wish I could post photos..

Calamari wasn’t cooked, service was real horrible for only being 5:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday. We walked in, only 5 tables were occupied, servers were standing around and we were told it would be a 35-45 minute wait. Our name wasn’t taken for table, we ended up sitting at the bar. The bar tender ended up leaving and doing kitchen duties and helping everyone else. He was the only one attentive to customers.

The food was okay.. I’ve been here a few months ago and it tasted 10x better. The service on the other hand.. Not so great. We were sat and waiting 15 minutes before we were ask what we wanted to drink. There’s only 10 people in here. Not that busy. Workers running around everywhere. When I received my steak that I had asked “med. rare”.. it was basically well done! Every time I came here they gave me a loaf of bread without asking, this time around I had to ask.. Which was AFTER we got our food…Nothing wrong with that but am why am I doing your job for you?
