The food was delicious! I got the lunch steak special and my husband got the salmon. The steak had a delicious butter on top that was amazing. It was by far the best meal we had our whole trip.
We go to a lot of restaurants. But the chop House, we never miss. And it is always perfect. Thank you.
This place served the best steak in Sevierville! My wife and I were blown away with how delicious everything was we will be going back for one more Chop House experience before we have to end our vacation and go home!!! The Chop House is delicious!!
The food and service were awesome. I had the voodoo shrimp tacos and they were so delicious! Whitney, our server done an outstanding service and was super friendly and nice!
Great experience!! The food and service was phenomenal 🙌!! Angie and Josh are wonderful people! 🥰
My husband and I had a beautiful lunch with my sister and her family. The ambiance was nice and beautiful and the food was delicious!!! It was definitely a 10 out of 10!! The Colossal Onion rings were great and I loved my Chicken Piccata and chopped House salad!! The service was top notch also!! Will definitely return!!
Brandon was our server and can I just say, the man is incredible. He’s so attentive and constantly asking if we had any questions or needed help with anything. Wife had the sirloin Caesar and I had the special Kansas filet. Both were amazing, and honestly I’d pick this place over the other surrounding places. The dessert was top of the line as well. Didn’t wait long for our food and our drinks were never empty, thanks to the incredible service of Brandon. I’m very happy I got to enjoy this place, and the service from our server.
Anthony was an awesome waiter. Very tasty food. Food all came out hot. Anthony, check to see if the food came out all right and if we needed more drinks. Since our friend told Anthony it was my wife and my birthdays, he brought us a special treat with cards.
We visited the sevierville location in July for a birthday dinner and were pleased with the entire experience. Conrad was a doll, listened to the changes we wanted and had A+ recommendations. We ordered the seafood fettuccine and the house special ribeye. Best meal of our whole trip! Thanks Conrad!
I've been a big fan of the Chop House since I moved to TN five years ago. Always our "go-to place" for an enjoyable night out. Yet, around a year ago, management and morale took a nose dive. But... I went back recently on Mother's Day and the greatness of the original Chop house was back! Totally five stars all around! What I learned was this - the original owner was really having some problems outside the restaurant and it carried into the performance of the staff and unfortunately into the kitchen. But it's great again! Here's why... The new owner Scott, and general manager Paul, will stop at nothing to make sure every Chop house experience is enjoyable and delicious, whether you're a couple or a large group. The food is plated beautifully and perfectly cooked by a premier, new kitchen crew. An expanded menu has so many great offerings, all of them super good. Something new is their great twist on a shrimp cocktail and crab cake as an appetizer. Chef Brittany will make you a great T-bone steak and of course a filet is never a bad choice. The whole menu has been thought out and focused on a tasty dining experience that's almost impossible to beat. Desert choices are so yummy. The night we were there our server was Matty. Ask for her. I'm so excited writing this review to know that the Chop House is really back! I'm smiling ear to ear, I'm so happy. Thank you Scott and Paul - you and the staff go the extra mile to make your special occasion... very special.
We stopped here for lunch and everything tasted sooooo good! The bread, the appetizers, the petite pork chop is not petite and all this food was more than enough for 2 people… would love to come back here and try more dishes and dessert!
You want great food & service ... this is the place !! Sooo good, that we came twice while here !!! ENJOY !!
Our experience at The Chop House at Tanger Outlet Mall was wonderful! It was the occasion of our forty-fifth wedding anniversary. We did have a moderate wait time, but we were seated in front of the fireplace which set a beautiful mood for our special occasion. Our server was very kind and cheerful and attentive to us without being overly attentive. The manager came by our table because a substitution in something we ordered had to be made, but that was seamless and went very well. Our food was served and it was absolutely delicious! As we finished our main course, our server surprised us with a card and complementary dessert to celebrate our anniversary! We were both bowled over by that special gesture! The dessert was delicious, the meal was exceptionally good and the service was perfection. We highly recommend The Chop House for lunch, dinner or any celebration that you want to mark with great food and great service!
We started with the deviled eggs topped with candied bacon such a tasty appetizer! For lunch, we had the chicken piccata and crab cakes, both flavorful and perfectly prepared. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere made it a great experience.
OMG! Everything in this restaurant is excellent! The quality of the food is extremely good. The portion is quite large, making the price very reasonable! The services and staff are beyond excellent! We are tourists visiting Pigeon Forge and this dining is definitely one of our most memorable experiences of the trip!
The food was fantastic! We dined here twice during our vacation and the quality was consistently excellent. Two people can easily share one meal. If I had to change anything, it would be choosing a different dessert because the cake with strawberries wasn't my favorite. However, everything else was amazing! Our favorite dishes were the chop steak, shrimp pasta, and crab cake. Please try the deviled eggs. Definitely recommend this place.
First time visiting and it was AMAZING! Husband said one of best steaks he's had!!! My chicken was perfect! Server was excellent! Great dining experience! Will definitely go back!
Spectacular!! Came out for mom’s bday and had a great time. Christine was our server I got name right. Food was very tasty. Service was top notch. Thank you for a wonderful time…
The only negative part of our experience was when we first arrived. We decided to sit at the bar as we waited for a table. We didn't get service at the bar for about 10-15 minutes, but there was only one person behind the bar and she was swamped! Our table was ready within the 20 minute time frame we were quoted, and our waitress, Leila, was delightful. Our salads were crisp and fresh, served in chilled bowls. My husband's steak was delicious, and my prime rib was literally the best I've ever had! The onion rings were perfect, and the corn creme brunle` was heavenly!! There were so many dining choices in Pigeon Forge, but I'm sure we made the right one!
Chop House is our favorite for a great steak! The food is consistently exceptional. Christine is the best waitress! She keeps our glasses full and ensures that the details are always correct.
Very helpful for my family with children that they have Open Table, so we can plan ahead and get there directly before the reservation. The food and price points are reasonable for many levels of spending. We enjoyed dinner and lunch visits on our trip.
We decided to try The Chop House because we were walking around the Tanger. Everything was wonderful. We had a small incident with the bread and our waiter quickly fixed it. The bread, pork chops, mashed potatoes, creamy spinach, broccoli, fried apples, blueberry ice cream, and water/sweet tea were so delicious. They discounted our meal, which was a nice surprise because we weren't expecting it at all. A very wonderful experience for our first time! The wait for our food was a little long but you have to expect that at any restaurant. Especially in a tourist town.
I had an amazing experience celebrating my 60th birthday at the Chop House. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding and the overall atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered. The adults in our party had steaks and salmon, which were all cooked to perfection. The children had ribs and chicken tenders which they thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in town.
The Chop House in Sevierville’s is our favorite dining spot in the area. Josh and Anita check all the boxes for great service, hometown hospitality, and excellent food. The quality and attention never drops. Chop House is the Smoky Mountain’s favorite “watering hole” for locals and visitors alike. Minutes after we are seated, our ice tea choice appears before the waiter ever appears. It’s calming and enjoyable to find a Mayberryesqe experience in the midst of 12 million area visitors each year so close to the Great Smoky Mountain national Park.
Service was very good. Lots of lunch options. Delicious food. Bread was very good also. I got the shrimp and crab cake dish and it was a nice sized portion and very tasty. Decorated very nice for Christmas! Nice place to take a break from shopping.
Food is always great and fairly priced for PF area. Our server Samantha was top notch and we loved her. Very personal-able and professional. The house manager on duty Saturday handled the issues we had with the humor professionalism and grace. Kudos for the staff handling business on valentines night.
Perfect food. Zero complaints. I get my steak done rare and it’s very uncommon to get a nice rare, but they got it perfect today. My waitress was perfect and tended to my table and brought us everything in a good time. Atmosphere was nice and fancy, felt like a fish outta water. Great time
We has a lovely experience. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas. It was also perfect for adults with children; family friendly with a great children's menu. Our server was kind and attentive. Food was tasty! I also love that you can make reservations. We will definitely return!
Food was delicious. Prime rib was a little thin but was delicious. Others at our table had filets and salmon. Everything was great and I will definitely go back. Service was good but a little slow. I do think our waitress was overworked! She was working a very large section and had problems getting back to the table. Overall, Service was good, and I will definitely return. Everyone was very friendly and did their best to make sure our party of five was taken care of and we were . I can’t wait to go back.
Excellent dining experience for Valentine's Day. We made a reservation in advance and were seated promptly when we arrived. Our server was great and everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend for any special occasion and for any everyday meal. We dine here as often as we can every time we come to this area.
My husband and I had dinner at the Chop House a couple of nights ago. Our entrees, cocktails and app were all delicious! Christine, our server, was amazing! Warm, knowledgeable of the menu and completely on top of everything! Great experience!
We had a lovely experience at the Chop House all thanks to Christine. She is so kind, hospitable, and was so sweet to our child. She truly made our night and our first family trip really special! The food was also excellent. Highly recommend dining here for lunch and/or dinner (we did both) and ask for Christine! ☺️
1/7/2026 I had lunch. Excellent service and good. We shared the lunch Roasted Turkey & Dressing, fantastic & a baked potato. Reasonably priced, and very good portions. Will definitely eat here again. Our server was Anthony T, and he has the best customer service. Attentive as needed and have plenty of time to enjoy our food in a relaxing atmosphere, even being seated in the bar area (only booth available that day at lunchtime, rest were taken in main dining area). Highly recommended this location.
It was Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation at 4:00 (only time available two weeks ago through open table) and we were seated about 4:15. For walk-ins, there was a 2 1/2 hour wait. We are from Lexington and miss our Chop House there. We always got the petite chops (we ask for the chops to be served on top of the mashed potatoes like they did in Lexington.) It ticks the dish up a few notches. So delicious with the apples and spinach soufflé. We were with friends who both ordered mahi mahi. Their fish was overcooked. However considering there were like 10,000 people in the restaurant - every aspect was overall pretty impressive. Our meals were scrumptious!
My husband and I had the prime rib. It was absolutely delicious! I can’t say enough good things about our waitress… I’m sorry, I don’t remember her name, but she was awesome. If you’re in the mood for steak like we were, we highly recommend the Chop House.
The food was excellent and the service was great. My only issue is I had a reservation for four and they wanted to seat me in the bar. I told them no, and they took care of it without a wait, but why would you try to seat 4 people with a dinner reservation in the bar when tables are open?
My wife and I both had the ribeye steak and it could not have been better. The flavor was magnificent and it was cooked perfectly. The service was quick and efficient especially because they were extremely busy. And the restaurant was beautiful and the noise level was moderate so we could easily carry on a conversation. We will definitely be back!
The table we got was next to the exhaust fan of the kitchen and it was so loud you couldn’t hear the background music. We asked to be seated elsewhere and the second table was much better! We ordered the sirloin steak and the mahi-mahi. the steak was good and the onion rings were super good! Fried to perfection, super crisp but not oily at all! The fish dish was super small and it was overcooked and therefore dry and yet it still had a fishy flavor to it! I mixed it with a lot of tartar sauce to be able to eat it. The server was fine but at one point he got overwhelmed with guests and did not come back to our table for a while so I had to refill my wine myself. Not a big deal, but some restaurants think thats important.
We had a great server. Could not say enough good things about her. This was a return visit. I was hear in 2018 and loved it. Liked it this time 😕 Filet mignon was delicious, ordered medium rare and it was a little to rare for us. The lobster tail is why we came back. It was incredible, the parmesan elevates it to another level. It tasted amazing this time but unfortunately it was not completely cooked but it was close enough so we ate it anyway. Burgundy mushrooms and creme brulee corn or both very good.
Good experience at The Chop House! We visited The Chop House to celebrate my son’s birthday, and everything was good from start to finish. The food was delicious—perfectly cooked steaks, flavorful sides, and generous portions. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The manager even stopped by our table to check in and make sure we were happy with everything—which we absolutely were. That extra touch of hospitality really stood out. Definitely more casual atmosphere.
The Chop House – Sevierville, TN (Tanger Outlets) In a county where many restaurants operate on a high-volume “tourist churn” model — quick turnover, inflated pricing, and food designed more for profit than quality — The Chop House stands out as a refreshing exception. While it still carries a hint of the fast-paced nature common to the area, it has clearly made customer experience, food quality, and consistency a central focus. For Sevier County, it easily ranks in the top five restaurants. Food Quality We ordered the lamb chops with mint sauce, a loaded baked potato, and the Chop House salad, while the other entrée was the Delmonico steak from a smaller side menu, paired with a loaded baked sweet potato and a house salad. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked — tender, juicy, and flavorful. The accompanying mint sauce elevated the dish, giving each bite a clean, refreshing pop that complemented the richness of the meat beautifully. The baked potato was cooked to the proper texture, though the toppings were noticeably light, making it feel more like a half-loaded potato. Both salads were brought out late, arriving only after the entrées hit the table due to an oversight, but once served they were fresh, crisp, and enjoyable. The star of the evening was the Delmonico steak, cooked flawlessly with an ideal texture and deep, satisfying flavor. It is easily one of the best steaks on the restaurant’s menu. The loaded sweet potato was another highlight — perfectly baked and generously topped, striking the right balance of sweetness and richness. For drinks, we enjoyed a Moscato white wine and a red wine (varietal unknown), both of which paired well with the entrées. Service Service at The Chop House was attentive and friendly. Staff members were professional, present when needed, and knowledgeable about the menu. When the salad mix-up occurred, management handled the situation quickly and respectfully — demonstrating a commitment to fixing mistakes without hesitation. Their responsiveness and professionalism help reinforce why this restaurant continues to succeed in a high-tourism area. Atmosphere Despite being a consistently busy restaurant, the dining room never feels overcrowded. The layout is comfortable, the lighting warm and pleasant, and the overall ambience leans toward an understated, casual elegance. It offers a sense of class without being pretentious. The restaurant is clean, well-kept, and welcoming. The crowd is a mix of tourists and locals who appreciate higher-than-average quality for the area. Value Prices are slightly elevated, but given the location, quality of the food, and consistency of service, the value is appropriate. Portion sizes are fair, and the overall experience justifies the cost — especially compared to many nearby restaurants where quality often falls short. Final Thoughts In a region saturated with quick-turnover eateries designed to capitalize on visitor traffic, The Chop House has managed to strike a rare balance: it caters to the tourism demand while still prioritizing quality, consistency, and customer experience. For that reason, it stays busy — and wait times can get long — so arriving early is strongly recommended. Whether you’re a local resident or just passing through the Smokies, The Chop House delivers a level of dining that rises above the baseline of the area. It’s a reliable, well-run restaurant that’s worth returning to.
First time at the Chop House. It was a bit loud and some people were dressed im hoodies and too casual clothes for my liking but our server was nice and attentive. My steak was undercooked but they promptly fixed it for me and everything tasted great. Food came out pretty quick too and they give you a good amount so no complaints there. Would go back.
The food was absolutely delicious. From the bread and butter to the crab cakes and shrimp to the steak and petite pork chops. The sides were fabulous. But our service was subpar. We waited 50 minutes to be served. Which is completely unacceptable. We normally play a game of Life at dinner and we can start it once seated and finish when the check comes. This meal, the tables around us were served their meals meals and we commented that they had finished their meals before we even got an appetizer. I hope this was an accident in the kitchen or something because the food was truly delicious.
My wife and I really wanted to like this restaurant. On the plus side we were seated right away despite arriving about a half hour before our reservation. The inside is pleasantly decorated and the atmosphere is inviting and cozy. Our server was attentive and routinely checked on us throughout. However, the real downside was the food. My wife ordered the prime rib and it arrived at our table cold. Even worse was the steak that I ordered medium. It came out well done, taking with it all the flavor. As a comparison see the photo of the Chop House "medium" versus a steak I had at The Pottery House a few nights later that I also ordered medium. For my sides I ordered mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was not traditional mac and cheese. Instead they use shell pasta with a creamy white cheddar. For those who like that I am sure it would be tasty but had I known it was made this way I would have ordered a different side. The only real bright spots to our meal was my wife's baked potato, salad, and the bread. However, when you can't get the entrees correct it makes it hard to want to return. With plenty of other steakhouses in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area such as The Peddler and The Park Grill, Chop House unfortunately falls off the list of places we will be returning to.
Chop House has been one of our favorite restaurants for years - this one is not. Staff NEEDS training! Hoping we just had the B team, but for what we spent... service should have been better. I don't know what's happened, but there are almost no decorations. The shelving units are VERY empty (with many including no items at all on display) and it doesn't give the warm feeling that this chain has tried to create. We went at lunchtime on February 6th. Greeted promptly and offered a space in the crowded bar area instead of the relatively empty dining area—we refused it. She then offered us to sit by the fire in the dining room—which we accepted. Our waiter, Ken, was very slow to greet us and made us feel that if we didn't answer quickly enough, he would be off again (throughout the meal). Drinks - I ordered hot water with lemon on the side and was offered hot water in a large glass instead of the common-sense choice of a coffee mug. Bread came and was HANDED to us instead of placed on the table. It was unremarkable. Salad arrived promptly and was HANDED to me instead of placed. Music was FAR too loud considering the restaurant itself was fairly empty. While we waited for our meal, one of the workers got in trouble for visiting with other diners at a nearby table for too long (she was there a very long time chatting.) Meal was... you guessed it! HANDED to us!!!! Who has ever heard of your plate being handed to you in a restaurant of this level!? All the meal items were being delivered by different people, so they are ALL making the same serving error. Steaks were good. Prepared well and flavorful. Thankful for that! Baked potato was underdone. Ordered a dessert, and despite VERY carefully explaining our request, we had to send it back twice to get the sauce fixed and then the cookie was BURNT. I don't mean overcooked. I mean BURNT!! We should have spoken to the manager, but were just so frustrated and disappointed we just wanted to get out of there. We will not be back. Such a shame. We used to look forward to going every time we visited the area. My suggestion? Try the other one near Pigeon Forge or many of the other steak places... I know we will. 🫤
The atmosphere and the service was great. The quality of the steaks were subpar. They advertised a chefs special with a super aged steak and heavy marbeling. Which the steak had no and was dry and not cooked as medium. The filet ordered was mushy inside and had no flavor. It also had tough pieces of muscle within the filet. Not worth the hype or the cost you paid for the entrees. Did not complain to the waiter as he was great. Barely ate our dinner, took it to go and paid the bill. Will not go back.
We went to ChopHouse Sevierville for our anniversary on January 30th 2026. We both ordered the surf 'n turf special with filet medallions and 4 shrimp for $21 each. Both sets of shrimp were undercooked and about halfway through eating, I found a hair on the bottom of my steak. The manager said that they would comp my meal but we still left there with a $51 bill including the $10 tip. For the quality of food, it was absolutely not worth it and a let down for us. I would definitely go to the one in Kodak before returning to this one.
We made reservations a week in advance to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. At the chop house at Tanger outlets in pigeon forge. We got ready and were excited to see what everyone was saying. That it’s great food for a decent price. We left the hotel in high hopes. We got there early and waited in the car. After 10 mins it was time to go in. We get out of the car and see its crowed. But wait we have reservations so we didn’t panic. We go to the hostess stand and say we have reservations for “Wright” at 6:30. She said okay and looked us up. My fiancé asked how long the wait was “she said I don’t know” we asked were do we sit so we can wait since it was so crowded. She said in a very rude. I don’t know just go somewhere “using her hands in a shh away hand motion”. After that I was fired up. How unprofessional can one place be to do that to customers. I mind you I’m a manager of a kitchen I know how to run things. We go outside in the heat and sit down and waited on the text to be seated. After 10 mins we got the text. We go back in a different hostess is seating us. Just asked us do we want booth or table. We said booth. She leads the way to a corner table big enough for 5 “which was still dirty” we turned around and said we will sit at the table. Nothing on a happy anniversary nothing personal as we expected since I had to put it in for the reservation. Then we sit down wait and wait and o yeah wait. After 10 mins I asked another server who our server was he said Hayden. So I try to flag the manager down he ignored me when he clearly saw me. Another 5 or 10 mins go by and he finally shows up. That was strike 2. Once again how unprofessional can you be. All we are doing is trying to do is celebrate our anniversary but realize this may be a mistake. He comes to the table with the excuse we were by the fireplace but let’s be honest that whole side of the restaurant is blocked by the fireplace. And he had other tables. We told him we are ready to order already since we have waited. We order everything at once. Here is the good part the review of the food and drinks. We waited and waited once again on drinks. My fiancé ordered a mix drink. I ordered a corona. After 10 mins she got hers. It wasn’t mixed. Everything was on the bottom of the glass….my corona arrived 5 mins later and was flash cooled. Inside was still warm but the outside of the bottle was cold. I’m guessing that’s why I waited 15 mins on 1 corona. 10 mins later we get the eggs. Yes the presentation looks great. Yes our waiter is trying to make up for our wait and was doing his due diligence. But those eggs are god awful. I can’t tell what seasoning it was. Tasted like a Cajun seasoning. Was beyond overpowering and it was horrible. 5 mins later we received our salads. Fiancé got a Cesar salad that was terrible the dressing was horrible. I got a house salad with ranch that was great. About 7 ish mins later we received our plates. I asked for another beer since it was going to be awhile. She asked for more dressing to finish the salad our waiter returned in great time to give her that. Despite it being horrible she tried her best to finish the salad real fast. Our steaks arrived and we got ny strips. That yes they were cooked to the right temps. However the grill was too hot and burned the living daylight out of them. We tried to eat it but it was struggle to deal with the burnt taste. This was strike 3. The Mac and cheese was hot but tasted good. Chef mic probably helped with that. We asked for the check and waited and waited finally got it. But wait here’s the kicker we didn’t get a pen. After waited on him again we got a pen and finished up. This was a nightmare experience when all we wanted was a nice romantic dinner for our anniversary. Yes we probably should have said more but honestly we were in shock from the unprofessionalism from the top down. Once again I’m the manager of a kitchen I’m very patient but this was over the top. I understand being busy but your never busy enough to acknowledge and greet your customers the professional way.
Server did his job and we appreciated him. But the kitchen dropped the mark big time on the food and the manager only made "rounds" to speak with the "well dressed" and those who looked like big spenders which was extremely insulting and judgemental. $52 Delmonico easily had close to 4oz of waste and was over cooked and the soup arrived after main course and was nearly cold and inedible. We would have spoken with the manager about this but he was only interested in the customers who were dressed like big spenders. Honestly its not worth the money here. I lost over $52 on what what supposed to be their best steak and was their worst and judging customers based on whether or not they "look like money" is appalling and sick.
We had a reservation at 7:45pm and once sat at our table we didn’t get to order until 8:30pm. We ordered four 50$ steaks that tasted like liver. Not sure if you have had liver before it’s the worst taste, since we ate around 9:00pm I didn’t wanted to mention anything of fear that they make the food again and take another 30 minutes. The rest of the appetizer was good and the dessert was great but paying 200$ for steaks that tasted like liver is a huge disappointment. And to add on a member of our party ordered her stake well done and her stake was rare.
