The people are just so nice free pool...and most of all we enjoy sitting outside when the weather is nice..like today..nice breeze.. unfortunately we couldn't stay long...but next time when we come to town we will have to make a day of staying for just one ice cold drink 😎

This place is like a cheers in Smithville where everybody knows your name cheap beers Lots entertainment a definite must stop there's been a whole bunch of music videos filmed there I believe Hope Floats as well as a lot of history in a lot of character it does have its edges though just like any a dive bar but this one if you stay to yourself and are polite and a gentleman you shouldn't have any issues

I found this jewel while traveling for business. I decided to get out of the hotel for a while one evening and go have a beer. I happened upon this small bar and decided to go check it out. I was a little apprehensive at first because I was alone. I walked in and sat down at the bar and Chris the bartender immediately made me feel right at home. After visiting with him and some of the regulars there I found out that they would be having a Texas holdem game that evening and was invited to join in. I agreed to play and Rhonda the owner came in to bar tend for the evening. She was very friendly and also made me feel right at home. All of the people there are so friendly and I had am amazing evening. Thank you Chris and Rhonda for taking such great care of me. The next time I am in the area I will definitely be back!

I have not indulged in years but I stopped in this place a couple times while in town and it was a nice quiet place to chat and down some brews.

Huebels has been a very laid back place the last couple of times i went there and the people i have met have gone out of their way to be friendly. The beer was good,cold,and plentiful.

Went to Huebels after a memorial service to continue the life celebration of a friend who passed into The Summerland. It was spur of the moment, but you wouldn't have guessed it from the service we received. Even before we walked in the door they began accommodating us. For starters... One of our group had been barred from the place at a previous visit. They graciously agreed to allow him to attend, despite their issues. Our server took our order (24 of us) never writing a word and flawlessly returned with every beverage to its rightful patron. We all felt welcome. Our drinks were refilled effortlessly. It is a simple place, clean and comfortable. The restroom(girl's) was clean and located outside of the bar proper... This is an unusual and unexpected gift to any girl using a public facility. Everyone worked to transform what could have been a depressing event into a true celebration of our friends life.

Honky tonk dive with lots of old times grimey character.. No on tap beers or fancy foods, but lots of good old boys and decent prices. Also this is Willy Nelson's favorite bar!

I am unable to rate the customers or staff because after being charged $6 for a set-up I had to leave without having a drink. :(

Sorry but the service was not good here. The waitress was on her computer & we had to go to the bar to get our beer. She didn't service us. So I don't recommend this bar.

Went with some friends for a pool tournament and at first we were doing good. Then my friend brought in Orange juice for her mixers and the owner showed up and kicked us out.
