Sargento's is a wonderful restaurant for a family dinner any night of the week. The food is truly fantastic, the service however is absolutely the best! The chef comes out and checks on every table during dinner. Well worth the short drive to Snook!!!
Great little restaurant, good food and prices.
Great place to eat, really good margaritas and a cool little corner bar area with a TV that always has sports on it for any fans who want to do more drinking than eating. Diverse menu with lots of non Mexican options which is especially good for anyone planning to frequent Sargento's as it's 1 of only 2 Resteraunts in Snook. Owner is very friendly and takes the time to interact with every customer.
Very good. I highly recommend this place. It is worth the drive feom any where. Prices are excellent. Food is awesome. They have a good catering business too.
Good food and friendly staff. Salsa was fresh and tasty. Chicken tacos were very good. Reasonable prices. I will eat here again when I am in Snook, TX.
My husband had chicken fajitas he really enjoy them with chunks of chicken , the prices are very reasonable also. Nice atmosphere the owner even comes up to check on you as well as make small conversation.
Food was good as always. She had the Fried Avocado and I had Steak Ranchero. Grandson had the kids burger.
While rustic, this place has great food and service.
New and clean place. Found this place one day out of the blue working in the area and now I come here often. Awesome food and friendly staff with good service. Will keep coming here.
I had eaten here once before under different management and was not impressed. However I met a friend there for lunch and it was totally different. That atmosphere was great, the service was much better than previous management and the food was delicious. Will definitely go there again.
This is a really good restaurant with lots of menu options. We've been four times and it was great every time. The restaurant and restrooms are very clean. The staff is super friendly. The owner and head chef Lito knows how to cook the best Mexican food. I've had something different every time and have been pleased each time. Tacos are wonderful!! Definitely worth the drive.
Very good food and not long wait even though lunch time
They have the best fried avocados here. Very delicious food and great prices. We stopped here while visiting from out of state. It was such a lovely place to discover
Had not dined there in several years. Just as good, if not better than remembered. The only downside are their acoustics, or lack thereof. It's noisy and echoes abound. A small price for good Tex-Mex
I've been here a couple of times while passing through Snook and both times the food was good. Definitely tastes homemade. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
One of the best burgers I've had in my life crazy that it was from a Mexican restaurant. Most restaurants I get tired of eating this place I couldn't stop. The people in this area are the nicest I've met. If I'm within a hour from here I'm definitely coming back.
We went on a Saturday evening. The place was not too busy, but not empty. It was clean and friendly and comfortable. Our food took a little bit to come out, but our chips and salsa were kept full. It seemed that the owner/ manager had no problem helping out in the front of the house, which I think is fantastic. Surprisingly, the fries were delicious and especially when they were dipped in the ranch dressing! So was the horchata! Can't wait to try the steak fajita fries next time.
I love coming to this restaurant. Food is delicious and the staff is so nice. I recommend the birria tacos
My first time here! Food was delicious and the servers were very nice. Two different people checked on me and made sure I was taken care of. Great margaritas, guacamole, salsa, and food!
Wow! Everything was AMAZING! I had spinach mushroom enchiladas with zucchini instead of beans, this was sooo good! My hubby had the shredded chicken soft tacos and upon taking his first bite his eyes grew big. Yes! That good! We had Salina as our server, what a lovely girl! She was smiling all the way through our meal! Lito, the owner, came and said hi to us and he was just the friendliest guy! If i could add a star for this place I would.
Great service, amazing food, nice atmosphere.
Cerviche is still the best. Absolute best cerviche and shrimp fajitas. Well worth the drive
Food has always been great they have a bar if you want a margarita or beer with your food. Staff is professional and friendly.

We got there early afternoon so things were pretty quiet. The food was hot and delicious. Since there were only a few others there, we got our food quickly. The waitress was friendly and very attentive. We'll be back soon.
I had the shrimp in brochette. It was excellent but the server was outstanding. Highly recommend requesting Natalie when you go there.
Always friendly, clean and the food is always hot & delicious!
A very excellent experience at this restaurant. I had the tamales dinner which was very good, the atmosphere is really nice and the server did a good job.
They offer some dishes you will not see in most Mexican restaurants, which are great. Everyone at the table had their beverages but me. Mine came 20 minutes later, ice tea. They never came back to offer a refill.
We were so glad we chose Sargento's from the minute we walked in the door! We were immediately greeted by the manager, who welcomed us and thanked us for coming in. The atmosphere is very nice and the restuarant is clean. The food was excellent, prices were great, and our plates were full of food! We had the sweetest waitress. She was great about telling about the different food choices and seemed excited to do her job! If you are heading to an Aggie game and want great food, without the crowds and hour plus wait, with only a short drive, this is the place!! We will definitely go back!
We placed a to-go order for our family of six (5 people eating) and of course this is a splurge for us these days but this food was worth it! Excellent fajitas (chicken and beef), lip-smacking ceviche, and fantastic "green plate" (grilled zucchini and avocado with delicious lime chicken)! We overlooked the red salsa and realized we didn't eat it with our meal afterward, but the leftover salsa and chips made yummy chilaquiles the next morning. 🤗 We plan to frequent Sargento's now and love that they are conveniently located just a few minutes from us.

Great food, tho they are under staffed so service can be a bit slow. I definitely recommend the house special fajitas!!!
Good off the beaten path Mexican food restaurant. Good Tex-Mex selections and if you want something mixed they will certainly accommodate. Food served hpt and you don't have to wait.
Hidden, small atmosphere hasnt quite found its idenity. However, salsa was very fresh, chips were good. The servers were on top of everything. I had the enchiladas trio and it was as good as any that i have had in houston. Very reasonable and unassuming
My first time visiting Sargento's Mexican Restaurant in Snook, TX. Their red salsa and chips were fresh and tasted good. Between the three of us in our party, we ordered the queso, enchiladas and queso flameado. All of our food was delicious 😋. My only caviot was I don't think they make their own flour tortillas. The tortillas were just OK, could be a softer more fluffy tortilla. All in all, A÷ from us and our waitress, Aubrey was fantastic!!!!
Large variety of items. Food is very good for what I have had. Nice salads and very clean place. Very friendly and great service.
Clean restaurant and the food was good, but very mild, not a lot of authentic flair. Wait staff was young, inexperienced. Asked for corn tortillas with fajitas and got flour.
It was good. Fajita chicken fried steak was unique and good. Great Verde sauce. Margarita was ok but tasted like a cheap mix and my wife couldn't drink the water. She's kind of picky. Will be back.
Been wanting to stop here for years, and finally had the chance. Service was exceptional, but the food wasn't anything terribly spectacular. I will be stopping in again though, there are a LOT of things on the menu I want to try out.
The birria tacos were delicious! We also had fajita tacos and steak ranchero which was more like carne guisada. Definitely Tex mex - good food. Ask for the green salsa, made a world of a difference for the tacos.

The most amazing green sauce you've ever tasted! And they will NOT give out the recipe! Service was great, food was good TexMex.
Best chips and salsa! But the food is just kind of okay. Nice staff. Filthy dirty and sticky everywhere.
Small, family owners. Four people ordered four different meals. All excellent. Great margarita. Quick service. Not crowded on Saturday night. We will be back for sure. Only negative, it's a little noisy. No sound dampening.
Good food, great staff, and nice location for us. My only knock is that the guac hasn't been the freshest in our last two visits. My mom loves the chicken fajita taco salad, and I've been getting the fajitas. Hope this place does well and keeps getting better.

Went with my daughter for a quick lunch. There where maybe 2 or 3 other tables. The staff wasn't all that friendly. Never got a refill on my drink and my daughter(11) said her soup wasn't good. If you need something you will have to flag down the staff. Most of the time they are at the bar area playing on their phones or talking on their personal phone.
what i ordered- small chips and queso, side order of tortillas, beef fajita nachos with no sour cream or guacamole. What id rate it- Queso- 7/10 because its good but it would be better with some pico de gallo in it to enhance the flavors Nachos- 4/10 because they didnt have much flavor (because of the fajita meat) and they didnt put refried beans on my nachos Salsa- 5/10 because it has a decent flavor but it needs more spice and to not be as watery Tortillas- 8/10 because they were good and flavorful Chips- 8/10 because they were good and crunchy but they need salt. Overall i would give the restaurant a 7/10 because its could better some things but its not horrible

Good food but poor service. We were only folks seated and took an hour to get food. Claimed they were busy preparing for catering job. Later told a different excuse.
If I could it would be zero stars went to restaurant on 4-14-22 and got the most disgusting food ever and to top it off entire order was made incorrect then to top that off the manager in charge wanted to explain how she was just pushed into management and cooks dnt want to listen to her. This is very disappointing save your money and your time STAY AWAY
This place is SUPER SUPER disappointing… I was working with Lysette (who I would like to add can not handle both serving and catering) She never responded to my messages and if she did it was after I reached out to her more than once. We were trying to book our rehearsal dinner with Sargentos after our venue had highly recommended them. I had asked to sign a contract FOUR times and her response was poor and ineffective. Honestly just sucks that the communication was so poor and I felt like my business meant nothing to them when all I was trying to do was support a small business. As a customer if I could advise one thing it’s that you have someone who is solely dedicated to your caterings. We’ve chose to go elsewhere to avoid extra stress from wedding planning.
First and last time here! Sargento’s taco plate and sour cream enchiladas literally had no flavor. Yes when asked how everything was by the owners wife.. we kindly spoke the truth saying no flavor whatsoever. Actually my fajita meat came out cold. She said aww I’m sorry and offered something different but we said no thanks. She said let me see what’s going on in the kitchen and we never heard back. We paid our full bill of $34 on something we didn’t really touch. We only ate chips and queso. As we were walking out she never said one word ..not even thanks for coming.
