A gem. The decor is curated funky without being kitschy. Playlist is fire. Very welcoming. BEST BIRTHDAY RESTAURANT CELEBRATION in Gville/Northern California. Generous portions. Food was delicious and not over seasoned. Brings in a diverse clientele. Great for families, couples, friends. We got a lot of sides and meats to try and everything was delicious. Table favorites is mixed greens, sweet potato fries, pork ribs, and succotash.

Very cool spot on the edge of town. Unassuming but the atmosphere was great. They had the place all done up for Halloween. The BBQ was pretty legit - definitely not what we were expecting to find in the valley. Wings pictures. Collards were also phenomenal as well as the Okra. Our server (the owner?) Was super warm and welcoming too. Couple TVs in the bar area if you need to catch a game.

This place is very romantic. The service is phenomenal and the food is delicious. Especially the banana pudding. I've never had banana pudding this good, ever! My boyfriend from Alabama says the potato salad was like his mom's (may she rest in peace). I'm getting my own banana pudding next time, I'm not sharing!

My oh my, I started missing this place before I even left. I had the yaba beef rib and reminded me how good it is to be alive, it was so good. I didn’t know the name of the style of ribs but the pork ribs tasted amazing. Great environment and service was pretty good. They were out of a lot of things but I still left happy.

Wow! That was definitely the best hidden gem I’ve came across, we walked in around 7.30 and sat at the bar. It was a lovely cozy vibe & the staff were super friendly! The food was delicious, along with all there sauces they give you! Moira was full of chat to us and always checked in and so was Evett! Check this place out & be sure to make reservations, you won’t be disappointed!

My husband reached out to one of the owners, Yvette, to set up dinner for our wedding party. We traveled cross country for this and picking the food was the most important thing to him (maybe even more then the wedding). Yvette was super helpful in getting everything together, provided extremely incredible food, and the entire staff was extremely kind and generous. You can taste the love in the food they make, and we could not recommend the lemon pepper wings more! 10/10 in both atmosphere and food.

This place was a lovely treat! We were staying at Dawn Ranch, right beside Saucy Mamas, and stopped by for an early dinner. We didn’t make a reservation—please make sure you do—but they were graciously able to accommodate our party of five. Service was a delight—I didn’t catch the name of the beautiful lady who served us, but she made our dinner wonderful. The food was even more amazing. I wasn’t expecting much, because the prices were so good. I had the chicken, succotash, and mixed greens, and my friends had similar dishes and gumbo, everyone loved what they got. My only regret is that we were so full, even though we meant to come back for dessert a little later, we didn’t end up doing that. Pace yourself and enjoy the atmosphere! Thank you to the staff, for making our mum retreat dinner so enjoyable!

Incredible in every way possible. The service made you feel at home, the atmosphere was lovely, and the smell when you walk in is incredible! Food was 10/10 would recommend to all my friends 🔥 I got the pork ribs and fried chicken and my partner got the fried fish.

Five stars all around! This weekend we celebrated my grandmother’s 80th birthday, and had 18 people (including one infant) attending her surprise party at Saucy Mama’s. From the beginning to the end, the owner was informative and accommodating. She helped come up with the family style meal to make this cost-effective for our large group. It is evident the owner is fully invested in her restaurant and its patrons, down to the smallest detail! For example, she encouraged the live musician to stop the music when my grandmother was about to walk in, and had the entire restaurant shout “Surprise!” as she walked in. We were able to bring our own cakes for dessert, and at one point we dropped the “0”candle between the wall and the seating, so we only had an “8” candle left. She invested much time and energy to retrieve it, and after many unsuccessful attempts, they were able to find another “0” candle for us to have. Super sweet gesture! I wouldn’t doubt if they sent someone to the store to grab one. They went completely above and beyond to make this celebration extra special. Thank you Saucy Mama’s for the sweet memories we will cherish for years to come!

It’s clear this woman cooks with love. When we got our Togo bags for 2 people the boxes were so full of food my girlfriend said “oh we’re in danger,” Tad on the expensive side but boy does she make sure you get your moneys worth. - Get the macaroni & red beans & rice - the pork ribs are MASSIVE I’m talking dinosaurs - tri tip is very lean if you want something fattier go for the ribs or chicken

Went to Saucy Mama’s for their breakfast pop-up which is new on Sunday from 8-12. Limited menu but locally source veggies and eggs. Super good and the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. The veggie tater tot casserole was such a great surprise. Definitely a must on a Sunday morning. We had a special fresh strawberry waffle and a praline bacon. The cooks came out chatted and service was amazing! Will definitely go back!

Interesting little spot in a Fun Funky town. The food was great! Left 1 star off due to going to get boxes and pay, and despite leaving our personal items at the table, they bussed it and threw everything away. It's probably for the better, considering it's all fried and super unhealthy, but delicious. It's definitely a cheat day kind of meal.

Excellent southern cooking. Fried chicken, okra, black-eyed peas and catfish. We enjoyed it all. The owner and staff were the best, attentive and jovial. The music was perfect.

I'm so happy to have visited, the food was absolutely delicious (pork ribs omfg, best okra I've ever had), Erica made our experience delightful. She's incredibly sweet and attentive. Music was on point, vibe was spot on. Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful food, wonderful people. Came here with our toddler after reading the glowing reviews, and Saucy Mama's did not disappoint! Hubby and I got the BBQ chicken and tri-tip with fried catfish for the kiddo. FFried okra, collards, mac'n'chest, cornbread waffles, were all excellent. Everything was so delicious we all fell quiet and focused on chowing down. The proprietress gave every guest a warm glowing welcome, and the young ladies behind the bar were so kind to our little one. Thank you! This is sure to become a family favorite whenever we come up to Guerneville. We were so stuffed but we had to make room for dessert, and we’re glad we did! Banana pudding and peach cobbler were stellar, made from scratch. The peach cobbler was incredible - yummy peaches spiced with nutmeg, just the right amount of crumble, not too sweet (the best compliment from Asian eaters!)

While visiting the Armstrong Redwoods Park, we needed some good dinner food. We had driven past Saucy Mama Jook Joint and said “That’s it”! When we arrived around 6PM we were seated fairly quickly (by Saucy Mama herself - she’s great - what a smile). After looking over the menu we went for the specials appetizer (fried green heirloom tomato’s) and me - pork ribs and my wife the Yaba Daba Beef rib. The food arrived quickly and, wow, big portions!!! We were famished and dug in. The pork ribs had a nice sweet but not overpowering sauce and were fall off the bone tender. My wifes (huge) beef rib was thick, juicy and tender. Both had just a light smokiness letting the meats flavor shine. The sides? Well, the rice and beans were a hit (a little spicy but well made), the “greens” were tasty with lots of garlic and the mac and cheese was delicious - just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Don’t get me started on the incredible cornbread waffle and tasty sweet crack butter - I could have made a meal out of those!!! Overall a great dinner!!!

The owner of this place is a lovely, friendly woman with great energy who will give you the best service.. making you laugh, feeling right at home. All food is comfort style, with a slight Louisiana twist paired with local wines. Vegetarian main options are limited, can have lots of the sides but still enjoyed being here, a lot.

The catfish was unbelievably delicious. The red beans and rice was proportioned perfectly. the cornbread waffles (which drew me to the restaurant originally) with crack butter was sensational with so much cinnamon it puts Texas Roadhouse better to shame. But even with all of that what blew me away the most was the most unassuming thing I ordered, the Mac and cheese. I will be ordering that every time I return to this little slice of heaven, and believe me I will be back! My only complaint is it's so far away I cannot stop in to eat there everyday.

If you find yourself nearby, Saucy Mama's is an absolute gem you shouldn't miss.

We had their dinner special, which included chicken cracklings, fried catfish, fried chicken, a pork rib, barbecue chicken, mac and cheese, cole slaw and collard greens. The fried chicken was excellent and the pork rib was a close second. There was something off about the catfish; it was a little mushy. Everything else was very good and we really enjoyed our meal.

The beef rib was tender.and flavorful, the pork ribs were chewy and just ok. The beans and rice had no flavor, wouldn't recommend those. The atmosphere is awesome, good music and great staff. I would go back to try their po'boys, I would like to sample those. Reservations are recommend.

Overall 4.75 (read on to see why 2 stars) Food 4.75 huge portions, tasty food, loved the beef rib, food was lukewarm and precooked; Service 5 very attentive, friendly servers, food came out quickly; Atmosphere 5 fully decorated, attention to detail including glassware and water bottles, plenty of well spaced seating. A 2 was given because the owner walked by at least 10 times to greet and checkup on other diners including those seated at tables and at the bar being careful not to miss anyone. But…not once did she stop to checkup or say hi to me. As a single diner I would think it important to say hi. I don’t take it personally but there were at least 12 other parties in the bar area where I sat which she talked to. The other restaurant staff was very friendly.
