The prices were amazing and not only that they fill up your plate with a lot of food no matter what you decide! We chose bbq pork chow Marin with king lo beef and pot stickers for an appetizer! The food was very delicious and definitely worth trying!also our pot stickers were no joke they size of our hands and tasted amazing as well! Definitely will be coming back! This was one of favorites restaurants I grew up with as a kid they never disappoint! Come try all they’re good you won’t regret it! The place was clean and they were fast with our food and very friendly! Miss this pace so much!
This is my favorite Asian cuisine restaurant to go to out of any other place that I have been to. The food here is outstanding. The restaurant owners are very kind people, the service is great, and the atmosphere is simply relaxing and delightful. If you are looking for a relaxing place to eat incredible food with good service, this is definitely a place to go. And if you love Asian cuisine, then I recommend this even more. Everything they have here tastes good. Also, as someone who doesn't care for pot stickers, it is one of the best things on their menu. Their pan fried potstickers are top notch.
As I sit here in the booth, digesting and watching my family eat I decided I'd do the review while it's fresh in my head and my stomach. Honk Kong Garden was delicious! Staff was friendly and prompt. The decor was interesting with a clash of traditional Chinese atmosphere and then BAm! Moose and Elk head mounted on the wall, but because we live in the mountains it's fitting 😉. Traditional Chinese food of course but still great tasting. Today's dinner consisted of special fried rice, fried chicken wings, combination appetizer, pork and custard buns, sweet and sour pork, siomai, and beef wonton. Special fried rice had plenty of shrimp and the vegetables were fresh, not too oily. Fried chicken was great and crispy and not oily. The sweet n sour pork had a great glaze that wasn't overpowering the meat. The buns and siomai were steamed, fresh, soft and plenty of filling. The beef wonton came in a large bowl with plenty of the wonton and a good amount of bok choy and beef strips. They even included a small bowl of egg flower soup and was great to start. The combination appetizer has serving of 3, pot stickers, egg roll and prawns. Everything crispy as it should, the pot stickers were excellent and tasted fresh. Overall very happy and will return again! Keep up the quality!
My favorite restaurant every time we have our time in sonora pass by place before going home from camping in Yosemite
Honestly this is my favorite restaurant. The family who owns it is kind and generous and everyone is involved! The food is always super fresh, hot and tastes phenomenal. Get some meals and they will sometimes toss in a free sweet and sour pork. The servings are huge and the price can't be beat. The lunch meal (spa, spb, spc...etc) are your best bet if you want the biggest bang for you buck but the shrimp wonton soup is to die for. I compare every Chinese restaurant to this one everywhere I go and I recommend everyone stop by!
Home of the best Won Ton soup in my opinion. Very down home Chinese atmosphere. Crab puffs are the bomb too.
Oh how I love this restaurant. It is by far the BEST Chinese restaurant I have been to. All their foods are superior to those offered by other Chinese restaurants nearby with wonderful pricing. Service is wonderful and the employees are so kind. Hong Kong Garden is a truly wonderful dining establishment that deserves my recommendation to it's fullest extent.
Always great food. Peking duck has become a family tradition on Christmas Eve.

A wonderful restaurant, owned by amazing people, great family. It’s a kind place, family oriented and delicious! If you’re looking for great food that hits the spot, this place is for you! Whether it’s dine in or take out, the food is always great. We love Hong Kong and we are so lucky to have this in Sonora!
Great family run restaurant dishing up authentic cuisine with a smile. Every dish we've tried over 3 visits has been fantastic; not over seasoned, cooked just right, and quality ingredients. One thing to keep in mind: there's been a couple of surprise ingredients showing up in otherwise traditional dishes. One example would be the broccoli beef; it's fantastic, but includes unexpected mushrooms. It's not a bad thing unless you don't like mushrooms, but in all my years I've never seen them used in that dish. Just fuel for thought.
I had pork chowfun Small -Hot and sour soup 2 -Pot stickers 2 -Spring rolls The restaurant was clean and well decorated. All the food was excellent and service was spectacular. Most definitely will dine here again. Cheers, Fast Eddie

Always love our meals here and we try to get takeout frequently. The staff is always friendly. Parking can sometimes be tricky like most locations on Washington St. It is defiantly a place worth a try if you are in town!

Everything was good, enjoyable. The chow mein was a little greasy, like wet. But other than that 👌🏼my favorite was the honey walnut shrimp! Soooo crunchy and soooo tasty! The waitress was so attentive as well
Pretty decent restaurant, lots of food choices. More than most I have been. Family ran and great service. They also have a good selection of drink and alcohol. Boba as well
You get what you expect. Friendly staff and quick service. What makes me surprised is that many people come at 9:30pm and buy to go food. Even though they almost close the store, they still make those late order.
This a neat little Chinese restaurant. I've been told it was a steakhouse before, and so there is a whole wall with various local cattle brands burned into a rough sawn wood wall. The current owners have added Chinese style roofing made out of aluminum cans inside as well as various other Chinese decorations. This is the only Dim Sum place in the area, and they have several options during certain hours. If you're walking downtown, they have the regular front door, but parking is very limited. They have plenty of parking in the back. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have a huge menu, so there are plenty of choices. Food is good. If you're into Boba type drinks, they have some great flavors, but their portion sizes are smaller than expected. Also, most of their tofu options don't come braised/fried like other local restaurants, so if you like it that way, you'll have to request it. Well worth the visit!

I was staying at a hotel across the street and decided to get take out here. It took a while even thought there was only a couple seated there when I arrived. It was a pleasant atmosphere, typical decorations of a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the seafood chowmein. Noodles were thick like a lo mein but without a flovorful sauce. Very few vegetables in the dish. Had to add all the packets of soy sauce for flavor.

Now I remember why I stopped coming back to the Hong Kong Garden; almost 50 years ago it was Spectacular Chinese Food, but now it is Bland Tasteless food……. And a really unusual taste to the chicken in one dish & it was not a good taste!!!
The pineapple in the sweet and sour was rotten like milk. The beef was unedible. ABSOLUTELY NASTY FOOD
This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had in the United States, without a doubt. I don't know why it's called Hong Kong Garden, but the wonton noodles it serves are so terrible—they don't have any Cantonese flavor at all.
