What a great place! I have been patronizing El Palenque Regularly for over 20 years and have Never had a complaint of their food, service or margaritas! Their food is Exceptional, their servers are very accommodating and friendly, and the margaritas are absolutely To Die For! I Have to add that they will knock your socks off!!! ( ; I have recommended El Palenque to at Least 60+ people, and they All, without exception, have agreed with me. Truly, you will Love El Palenque! Oh, and their salsa is perfect! But be sure you order a margarita!

El Palenque is always a win! The crispy beef flautas were on point — crunchy, flavorful, and served with all the fixings. Chips and salsa hit the spot, and the service was fast and friendly. Great Tex-Mex done right!

This place was a pleasant surprise! The food was very good. It was not to loud but people were having conversations which was nice. The decor was colorful and bright. Overall I highly recommend the restaurant.

My husband and I are really impressed with this restaurant. We have always seen it but never stopped by to try it. The food was so good. The plates came out super hot and stayed hot. I really loved the homemade corn tortillas. My husband had The tampiqueña and i had the Chile relleno with ground beef. Then, one of them waiters offered to bring us a spicier salsa. It was super spicy but delicious. The atmosphere inside the building brought us memories of our childhood in Mexico. The place is huge!! They have a bar area, banquet area, and the patio outside. I think it's great for birthday parties or even babyshowers. Basically, any celebration we would consider this place. We will be coming here again. Thanks for a great experience!!

The chile relleno stuffed with fajita steak was delicous. The carne a la tampiqueña was also delicious. No draft beer, but the bottled selection includes Negra Modelo and other tasty Mexican beers. Service was very prompt. The bright, nicely decorated and huge dining area had a jovial ambiance. Even though they had a large number of guests, we didn't have to wait for a table. Parking was free and convenient.

All this for about $21 at happy hour!!! Can't beat that. Food and drinks are so good.

Me and my husband eat here frequently and love the food. Their service is usually up to par and food tastes really good while being reasonably priced. Only reason they are getting 4 stars cause there were few times the service was inconsistent and the only food item that was not as great was their Jicama salad. First start with the positives. Great service, the wait staff works hard. The chips and salsa were good, warm salsa is something new for us...We like it. Watermelon margarita ..very tasty. Now for the short comings for us. The shredded cheese looked good but tasted like cheese whiz. The ground beef had no texture, nothing to chew, really weird. The prices for most menu items were high for basic ingredients of beans, rice, tortillas etc. The specials were $10 which is a fair price, but again the meat and cheese were funky.

Man. I used to LOVE this place. I've been eating here pretty much my whole life. Hands down used to be the BEST salsa around. We dined in yesterday 1/30/26 . The salsa was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Which immediately made me sad. We also used to appreciate how affordable it was. Even the house margaritas. Imagine my surprise when my ticket came and my ONE house margaritas was $15.25. My son got tostadas, I got sour cream chicken enchiladas, queso and ONE margarita. My bill was $70. For 2 people. This is outrageous. Also. The little photographer you have floating around who takes pictures, frames them and them asks u which one/ones you want. Hands them to you and says they accept card or cash. Never mentions a price. $20 for a dollar store frame and a rushly took photo. Then has the audacity to mention the tip portion of the payment. Absolutely sad. After 15 years of being one of our fav restaurants. We will not be returning.

Maybe it was the day we went I don’t know, however you gotta teach your servers active listening skills, also if they don’t like to serve they should find a different job. Salsa was super bland chips didn’t seem fresh, I got the chimichanga and was blown away to find out there was just meat in it.. The chimichangas I’ve grown up eating and eating at different restaurants they were loaded with meat beans & rice. Etc. Overall the atmosphere was great. I rarely give reviews, let alone leave 1-star reviews… but WOW. We were enjoying our food when a photographer approached our table and asked to take photos of us. We innocently agreed (thinking that it’s for the Restaurant’s website, etc.,). However, 45mins later, once we asked the waiter for our check, the photographer immediately reappeared with many printouts of our photos and told how much the pictures cost. Absolutely predatory. I will never return.
