A good place to go if you're really hungry but don't know what to eat. Great selection of American food and lots of it. Taste is good. Will depend on your expectations and preferred tastes. I like the meatloaf with mashed potatoes (real) with brown gravy. You won't leave GC hungry. I almost always go for lunch when I go. Price is reasonable and maybe better than a lot of sit down and order restaurants. Restrooms are kept clean. I go about once a month maybe twice as a special treat for myself. Happy Eating!!

The service was good, and the food. But I'm talking about the silver wears, cups, and plates, like I know y'all are tired but at least clean them good. I literally found a whole rice junk in my fork. I don't know who cares about this review because either you love this place for the value or you hate food with no seasoning. I only go here because my elders (over 65) think it's the last affordable, good food that's available. They don't taste anything since they smoke or can't eat salt cause of BP. Large selection, duh it's a buffet, but you'll only find 4 items worth it. Here are mine: meatloaf, fried chicken, salad bar, soda. Sometimes service is good, most of the time it's neutral. But please, tip something for them who are clearing your trough. Seniors eat for $11.99

Golden Corral is one of my childhood fave restaurants. My family used to take us here all the time. I hadn’t been in YEARS! I went yesterday and the food just wasn’t the best. I know things aren’t going to always taste the same , but the food was mediocre. If the food wasn’t near to empty , they weren’t changing it. They also started taking up breakfast items at 10:30 when lunch starts at 11:00. The service saved the experience. The young men in there were extremely nice. KJ was our server and he did an amazing job. Our glasses were hardly ever empty and our table hardly stacked plates. Because he was really attentive. This Golden Corral does need to work on freshness of food and making sure food is being cooked all the way.

It was $17 of regret. I was delighted at the good selection, unfortunately, I managed to get the saltiest bits. I got some pork steak, salisbury steak,pot roast and meatloaf. I couldn't finish because it tasted like I was gnawing on salt. My second go was fish and I even got some dessert. Fish was also very salty. On the upside, lots of dessert selection but since I have health limits, I just got a pudding. They came to check on me a few times anyway and that was really nice and attentive ! I wish the food was better.

The toliets were leaking and hardly had any pressure to flush. When you did flush it wouks pour out the nozzle. Hardly any water in sink to wash hands. Family restroom remainded locked. Only wss opened upon request which seemed usual for Thanksgiving and the amount of people with walkers and wheelchairs. I also didn't even look over to see all the doors by the entry filthy like this. If I would of honestly seen that when I was sat I would of left. All 3 doors by us looked like this.

Many of the plates were not properly cleaned. Sanitized yes but some had small bits of food stuck. Same with silverware. Had to replace 2 sets.I had stopped going there around 8 years ago. This was my first time back. Food was good. Dont like that they no longer ring bell when fresh rolls are out. Thing have changed but not too bad. I've been going to Golden Corral for the better part of two decades now, many of which are here in the Houston area, but this one is by far the worse I've ever visited. Don't get me wrong, the food was good and the restaurant was clean. However, we did not see a server for the entire 90 mins me and my family were there. I can't rate anything past the pay counter because that's as far as we got. Once you walk in, you will notice the walls looking as if they've never been wiped, having liquid stains. From there, you're forced to look up and see the ceiling which makes you wonder, if they can't even keep the foyer presentable and clean, imagine the kitchen. By the pay counter you can see the fountain drink machine looks as if it's been out of order for years. The cups they provide you stacked next to that machine also looked like they haven't seen soap. Save your money, time and your stomach.

I had a really disappointing experience at Golden Corral. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant felt dirty and poorly maintained. The floors looked grimy, tables were not properly cleaned, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable for a place that serves food to so many people. The drink station was especially disgusting. The cups were nasty and clearly not clean, which immediately raised concerns about hygiene. On top of that, the slushie machine was basically broken—the slushie came out completely liquid and warm instead of frozen, making it undrinkable. The food itself tasted horrible. Many items were bland, overcooked, or just tasted off, which only added to the already bad impression. The steak station was another major issue. We had to practically beg just to get steaks, and the employee working there was rude and acted irritated every time we asked, as if we were inconveniencing him for ordering food that is supposed to be included. To make matters worse, the people sitting next to us were extremely rude and disgusting. They were loud, messy, and showed no consideration for anyone around them, making the dining experience very uncomfortable. The worst part is that after we left, everyone in our group ended up feeling sick later that day. We all experienced symptoms consistent with food poisoning, which is completely unacceptable and honestly concerning. Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this location.

Well I don't know if this was ever a good location, but it definitely sucks now. 645pm on a Friday night, hardly any other customers in the place, almost looked like it move closed as we were walking to the door, especially with a piece of paper taped to the door. Walked in, no line whatsoever, just two young employees chatting. I immediately recognized the guy server as someone who waited on us before and prayed we could avoid that again. We did. The first two tables we tried to sit at were so broken and wobbly that we picked up our plates and moved two different times. Take heed to this warning... do not eat at this location the food is horrible. if you go to the location in humble and then compare it with the food there is no comparison even the dishes that they have are very different. I had a fever and diarrhea 3 days after eating the food and did not put it together that I had food poisoning. do not eat at this location the food is horrible and there's a definite chance you could get sick

there was a fly in one of the cakes stuck in the icing and wiggling its little legs around..the cake ended up being removed but half the cake was gone by then. food was okay taste wise, not terrible. i got stomach pain after tho and smn else in the grp got diarrhea. ice cream machine was broken. place lowk janky. definitely wouldn’t come to this location again

Well, I'm saddened by this place. I usually go to the Golden Corral in the city of Humble and sad to say I saw a cockroach running around the quiche and was disgusted by it. I asked the nearest person in a green shirt to assist me and he came by and just smashed the cockroach with his palm. Hmi was so grossed out! I went to sit down and advised our server what had happened. Even though she was not involved i had to tell her how upset I was with what I saw. The person who smashed the cockroach did not even apologize for what had happened. He just went about his business like this was a common thing. He did not even throw away the quiche which was very near there. Then I asked my server to get me the manager so that something can be done and low and behold, the same person who smashed the cockroach came to me and explained what had happened. Now it was a little too late for this, eventually he did throw away the quiche but after we told him so. Well, this should be reported to the health department especially if every week they are having an infestation of critters and not cleaning up properly after laying down the chemicals.. Definitely will not recommend this place. At ALL!!
