Great place for a special dinner out. The ambiance is charming with the blue dog theme. The service and food were excellent. We would come more often if we lived closer!

I’m all for mood lighting, but when people of a certain age need a flashlight to see the menu, it’s a bit much. That’s the only complaint though. Excellent service and fantastic food. I highly recommend the Hot Dates as an appetizer. My own hot date had the Lobster Bisque which was quite good, probably an 8 on a scale of 1 to Joseph’s Fine Cuisine (her favorite so far). She had a perfectly medium filet mignon, while I had the fish special, a blackened redfish with crawfish etouffe and Basmati rice. Best Cajun I have had outside of Louisiana.

Phenomenal experience. From the food to the service, 100% top notch. We had the tuna tartare, the special deviled eggs, the NY strip, pork chop, lobster tail, and sea bass. Creme brulee and flowerless chocolate cake for dessert. Each item was better than the next, and I doubt I'll ever have better sea bass in my life.

Atmosphere is great. Love the paintings of the dog, which I’m sure there’s a story behind. The food was perfection, hat’s off to the chef. Servers were very attentive without being over the top which was much appreciated. Will be back again! Thanks for the great birthday dinner.

One of my most favorite places to go for fine dining. Mike and Samah are phenomenal owners, their staff absolutely amazing and food exquisite!

I went to Indigo with two friends last night and it was very nice. The service was especially good. We tried a few appetizers that were excellent and I had a beet salad that was very good. I highly recommend the rack of lamb for a main course! It is a little pricey, but worth it. It's not your basic, typical dining experience!

Just had a fantastic experience at Indigo. We sat at the bar and were served by Johnny. Food was excellent, Duck Confit Enchiladas, Salmon with Risotto, and calamari were all amazing. Johnny did a fantastic job tacking care of us. Great night! If in the area we’d definitely go back.

Want a nice romantic night out? The ambiance of this place screams romance. A big pricy but without a doubt worth every penny. Lobster bisque is (no kidding) lick the bowl clean worthy. Steaks are always done perfectly and the service is top of the line. We got a nice sweet red wine with dinner and that rounded down our evening. I've been twice and we have this now added to our list of romantic dinner destinations.

I've been enjoying Indigo for as long as I can remember. I proposed to my wife there about a decade ago and we still enjoy it to this day. Great atmosphere for a date or drinks with friends. Excellent food prepared and plated very nicely and always delicious. I've never been displeased any time we've dined here. Staff has always been exceptional, very professional and friendly. An added bonus is they have some of the best Sushi in Springfield and an excellent selection of beer and cocktails. My only complaints are that the portions are typically smaller than I would like (though that's coming from a fat guy) and I wish their menu was a bit less static, as while they do have specials, the core choices could likely benefit from being updated more often. Overall a top notch experience and one of my favorite dining venues in Springfield for many years!!!

So nice! The dates were not great, buy then again I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese. I had the sirloin ... one of the, if not, best steaks I've ever had. My wife had the lamb, and it was the best lamb I've ever eaten. Wines (house chianti and pinot red) were awesome! Just had a great overall experience.

My husband and I went to Indigo last night to celebrate Valentines day. The service and food was excellent. Everything was brought out one at a time so we werent bombarded with a ton of food all at once. We even got a complimentary hummus plate which maybe they offer to guests anyways but it was a nice surprise. Our server helped us make our night special by taking good care of us and knowing when to just let us enjoy each others company. We spent a lot but we planned on doing so instead of getting each other gifts so we went all out. Did not disappoint. Great job Indigo!

We picked The Indigo for our anniversary dinner. We started with Hot Dates and Calamari, delicious! Next a yummy bowl of Lobster bisque. For the entree my husband had the New York strip and I chose the Airline chicken, dessert was lemon bars and cheesecake, all excellent. The staff was great!

Amazing. About $50-60 per person, but absolutely worth it. I went with my fiancé, she got the steak and I had the crab, and both were about the best either of us had ever eaten. The special that day was a beer cheddar soup and it was so warm and filling, I couldn't stop eating. The experience was amazing, everything was perfect, I cannot recommend it enough.

The food was phenomenal and I'm not easy to please. I got the sea bass and my date got the filet. Both were wonderful. The sea bass melted in my mouth. The wine that was suggested (a spanish wine) was wonderful as well. The place is well decorated and the staff was pleasant as well. Will definitely be making my way back for more of the menu.

This was the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. They made a trip to the store to get my little ones chocolate milk. The fillet and the hamburger was an exceptional grade and cooked perfectly. The server was very accommodating and pleasant. Numerous people came up to us to make sure we were satisfied. Thank you for making our experience amazing.

Fantastic! Excellent food and awesome service. Food is always perfectly on point! Super accommodating for our group of 15 but also great every time we dine here as just the two of us. Just might be the best in town!

The food was amazing, me and my boyfriend came here for our anniversary and it's one of the best meals I've ever had. The decor was very nice and I love all the paintings of the dog they were very unique. The waitress we had was exceptional she recommend some drinks for me after telling her my preferences and they were some of the best drinks I've ever had. The entire experience was perfect. Which makes it almost bittersweet because we want to go back but it's definitely a special occasion thing for us, but we will be going back as soon as we can!

The food is PHENOMENAL. We started with appetizers, and enjoyed the best sushi roll I have had in years. The soups and salads were great, and the server was absolutely perfect. She was very attentive, but not overbearing. She even brought us a few extra crackers for our baked brie without pause. My friend had the tuna, and I had the sea bass. It was a dream. It has become our go to dinner destination for our friend meet ups in Springfield.

Sean did an amazing job serving us! We felt very appreciated the entire time and felt comfortable in the atmosphere . We had the deviled egg special and focaccia for an appetizer and I had the veal special and my partner had the chicken. Everything was delicious! We definitely will be back.

One of our favorite places to dine for special occasions. The owner, Mike, always stops by almost every table to make sure all is good. The food and service were excellent as always.

List for the blue dog people. I think you bought our dinner tonight. And I am humbled by your gesture. I want you to know that me and my wife went out to our car. And thank God for you and ask him to bless your family with good fortune and good health. Thank you so much for having that kind of heart

Amazing locally owned restaurant with great food and drinks, and atmosphere. Definitely a must try.

Indigo was excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and I enjoyed the dim lighting. Our waitress was very attentive and gave lots of information about the menu. Lots of wine and appetizer options, which was impressive. The cheese plate we ordered was good and our salads came with a hummus plate with olives that was delicious. My boyfriend was extremely impressed with the flavor of his filet. I ordered the king crab legs and they were good, just not as flavorful as the snow crab I would normally order elsewhere. The restaurant was a bit pricy but, overall, I enjoyed my experience and will return with friends next time.

Great atmosphere. They offer white tablecloth service even on the outside patio. Service was excellent, and they have an outstanding mule. Food was just okay, nothing to write home about. I think if I visit again I’d try the steak or crab legs. They condensed their menu because of the pandemic, and it’s possible I chose dishes they aren’t known for

Was a little hesitant going there after reading some recent reviews about bad service and bland food. We walked in on a Saturday night around 7 and got seated right away. Our waitress was really attentive and nice. I chose the prime rib special and was not disappointed. Everything that came with it was great. Glad we didn't let the reviews sway our decision or we would have missed out on a delicious dinner.

We recently dined at Indigo Restaurant in Springfield and were thoroughly impressed by the whole experience. The atmosphere is modern and chic, with dim lighting and stylish decor, making for a great date night setting or intimate dinner with friends. The pricing at Indigo is on the higher end, but it's well worth it for the quality of food and service you receive. The menu features a variety of options, from seafood to steak to pasta dishes, so there is something for everyone. I highly recommend trying the lobster ravioli - it was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. On the downside, the portion sizes were a bit small for the price, so be prepared to order multiple courses if you have a big appetite. The waitstaff seemed a bit overwhelmed at times, leading to slower service than I would have liked. Overall, my dining experience at Indigo was excellent, and I will definitely be returning. The ambiance, delicious food, and upscale feel make this restaurant a must-visit in Springfield. Just be prepared for the higher prices and potentially slower service during peak hours.

I had a filet which was cooked perfectly, flavor was fair but not that good broiled rich flavor I expect in a steak. Texture indicated to me that tenderizer had been used, a sort of powdery texture. Remainder of food was good. Ishared calamari salad and a baked brie, very tasty, good size. Bread pudding was very good too. I had a cocktail which was perfect, not watery or weak and reasonably priced. I was with a group of about 20 people and service was awesome, friendly, timely, helpful. Place was clean. I would return.

Atmosphere took a moment to get use to, dim lighting. Calamari appetizer fair, it was spicy yet wet-soggy as if fried and then soaked with liquid. I would not adventure again with this one. Main course thick bone pork chop, decent with caramelized onions but needed more for the size. The potatoes with goat cheese were favorable. Spouse enjoyed his rack of lamb. Dessert was a sin cake; it was like eating chocolate fudge which is not my favorite, flourless chocolate cake would have been better and lighter. Though the restaurant has been there for years it was my first visit, will let some time pass before venturing out for another meal. Too costly during these times of inflation.

Food wasn’t as good as I was expecting it to be. The atmosphere and the paintings were very nice. Service was great. But after spending as much as I did on the food I would’ve like to actually enjoy it. I got the salmon and garlic mash and they didn’t taste seasoned at all I couldn’t taste the dill or the garlic. And I ended up going out for dinner again because I was still hungry.

The food was great but we wish we would have picked somewhere else for Valentine's day. There was nothing special about the night, it was not romantic, and all the staff including the manager just seemed flustered and overwhelmed the whole time we were there. Honestly it's the first restaurant in 3 years of eating out on Valentine's day that didn't have roses on the tables or any flowers at all in the restaurant. We'll try again for a non-special occasion when things are more manageable because the food was good and maybe the service could be better, but definitely not for a holiday or special occasion.

Very rarely do I have the opportunity to visit an upscale local establishment….I was “treating” myself last night to a nice dinner. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was wonderful. My only complaint was the food. What was described on the menu did not translate to the plate….in my opinion. I ordered the LUMP crab cakes and they were golf ball size with shredded crab. I was expecting a crab cake with LUMP crab meat as the menu stated. I ordered the airline chicken for $29 and it was the smallest piece of chicken (smaller than my palm) with a few steamed broccoli pieces and a scoop of coconut rice. I guess I was expecting more for the price. I’m sure the other menu items are phenomenal.

We came here for a weeknight dinner and it was okay. The restaurant is a large room that has a division of wine racks towards a bar type area. Unfortunately even with the restaurant not very full, the sound carried and you could easily hear everyone else's conversations. I can't imagine it would be an intimate dinner if the restaurant had actually been busy. Lighting was dim but not in a cozy/intimate way. Food was okay but nothing special. Appetizers: The tuna tartare was okay but Vele does a better version. We agreed the best dish was the baked brie but it was definitely heavy as it's a whole wheel of cheese. The devil eggs were fine. Mains: My pork chop was overcooked and dry, if I hadn't been so hungry I would have skipped finishing this. The filet mignon was fine but nothing really special, you could get this at any restaurant at this price point. My husband noticed they didn't ask what doneness he wanted for his steak, but luckily it came out at a medium. Desert: The creme brulee had a thick layer of caramelized sugar on top, unfortunately due to the thickness it seemed that it was more burned than actually melted which definitely distracted from the overall desert. The burned pieces of sugar were quite bitter and jarring to find in the sweet cream of the actual dessert. I've had plenty of creme brulee that I've enjoyed but this was definitely not one of them. I can't say there was anything that made the restaurant stand out. They had some good ideas but lacked in execution. I don't think we will be returning.

Nice atmosphere...my daughter ordered the $90 KING crab that were snow crab at best...she got 1 leg and 4 knuckles....very over priced for what you get.. The new york strip is not a 12 oz steak. This was a one and done place..we drove 2.5 hours to meet family that was the best thing about it..

Salmon dinner was boring. The pile of rice had little flavor with steamed broccoli . Nothing special about this meal. My husband had the steak and it was tough and no flavor. It was barely warm when it was served. The side of Mac n cheese was awful. Dry and tasteless. We would not go back . Very expensive

I guess, three strikes and you're out. Took some friends from out of town here years ago, food was either under seasoned or overly seasoned. Recently I was invited by friends for a celebration and the manager pretended to not know the definition of a 'rack of lamb'. The restaurant made no effort to make it right. Next time I dine there maybe I'll dine alone for a 'unique' experience

I do not recommend anyone to eat here. The food is bland, nasty and insanely overpriced! Literally everything we had tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave. Disappointed but the server was very nice.

J

Horrible food. Horrible service. Go somewhere else. If you do go, make sure you check your receipt. We ordered 2 meals and a $35 bottle of wine. $175. Turns out, they doubled the prices on everything and when we called them on it they acted like we agreed to it. Hannah was the name of our waitress. She charged us $65 for a $35 wine because they were out of the wine on their menu. Never go here. The food tastes microwaved and you pay an insane snout for fried garbage. So many great restaurants in Springfield, just go to one of them instead.

K
Kyndal Edwards

The place is very over priced for the food quality. The salad tasted like dirt. The best thing about our meal was the martini and old fashioned we ordered. My husband and I both left hungry. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Really bad food and overpriced. Even. Go the fish special 50 bucks and bad. Apps bad salad bad

A

Everything was bad, including the service…talking to you Elizabeth C. (Got your name from the check because you couldn’t even manage to introduce yourself to our table). They’d like to portray this as an upscale restaurant, but the hostess is wearing glasses on her dress like she’s out to the bar on a Saturday night. The baked Brie had either wet or stale crostini included in it which just ruined the dish. The bleu cheese dressing with the wedge salad was incredibly sweet ???? not sure what that was about. And the most disgusting experience was Elizabeth’s attitude. We tipped 20% regardless because you still have to pay your bills, but it doesn’t hurt to smile, introduce yourself to the table, and ask if the food was ok at any point. In the three courses we subjected ourselves to you had ample opportunity to ask if what we had was good and you chose not to. Don’t go if you have any other option.
