Been here a few times, always a vibe, delicious food and great portions. The gentleman at the bar deserves a raise, these folks are friendly & fair.
Best brunch spots in Forest Hills. The mussels are a must. Pick up any other entree to go with it. My daughter loved the pancakes and bacon.
If you're looking for a fun place to eat and drink in Forest Hills, I recommend this place. It has that dive bar vibe but the food doesn't disappoint. However, head up, this place gets really crowded every time there's a concert at Forest Hills Stadium. It's a small space, and fills up quickly. So don't even bother going there during concert season. I'd wait either in between shows, or post-concert season.
This week I made my first visit to Dirty Pierre's. It's not like I had a choice. My husband and our friends are there several nights a week and since I am often out of town, I'd never been, so I was eager to see what the draw is - and it's really simple. Exceptional food, an amazing and friendly team and an atmosphere that makes you feel as if you're eating and drinking with a group of friends, rather than with a restaurant full of strangers. The best review I can give is that in the 4 days I've been in NYC, we've been at Dirty Pierre's 3 times - and we're already planning a return! If you're looking for great food, great prices in a warm and welcoming environment - this is the place (and the sangria alone is worth a visit!).
It's a neighborhood dive bar where lots of folks are regulars who have gotten to know each other. The food is excellent and the drinks flow freely. No reservations in any sense of the phrase in all the best ways
Such a great vibe for a local dive! A little bit roudy but a really fun time, and our bartender Matt was a hoot! Reminds me of New Orleans dive bars. Definitely visiting often!

Lovely place with good food. If you ever needed an excuse to leave work a bit early this is it because it fills up quickly so try and beat the commuter crush by a few minutes.
Had a great time here! Went in on a crazy busy afternoon before a concert and got in and served very quickly. The food was excellent and came out fast. There was a double charge on my card at the end of the night and Raquel the manager called me personally to take care of the refund. Great staff, that really cares. I recommend you check it out!
Great brunch. Good, plentiful food. Great drinks. A gem among mostly mid options in Forest Hills. Excited to check out dinner and hoping it’s just as great.
Dirty Pierre’s is a small but mighty neighborhood gem! They serve delish burgers, mussels, hearty steak sandwiches, plus so much more. (Tots. Why are these so good?!) Expect a loud, fun, local vibe. It’s a snug space - once you’ve devoured your meal, get up and let the next person experience the magic. Even with occasional lines it’s absolutely worth the wait—for both the food and the atmosphere.
You really can't go wrong with Dirty Pierre's, and honestly, it's been my wife and my go-to for almost a decade. First off, the burgers? Unreal. Seriously, I've had a lot of burgers, and these are consistently top-tier. But it's not just the food; the atmosphere here just hits different. It's always got this comfortable, lived-in feel, and the people are always great. You can tell it's a labor of love, and Raquel, is easily one of the best manager/owner in the neighborhood. She creates a vibe that genuinely welcomes any and everyone. And yeah, beyond the burgers, their white wine mussels are legit "to die for," and that sangria? It'll sneak up on you because you'll just want more of it. If you're looking for a place that nails the food, the vibe, and feels like a true local gem, you gotta check out Dirty Pierre's. Also, shout out to Matt, one of the best bartenders in the neighborhood!
This place is so fun, with great service and delicious food! The portions are extremely generous and reasonably priced, and everything was cooked to perfection. Even for such a small space, the wait was short on a Friday night. I love the decor and overall aesthetic and vibe of this place, and the energy here is top-notch! The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and hilarious, too. I’m not a big drinker, but they have a wide selection of beers and other drinks. This seems like a great neighborhood spot and I will definitely be back in the future!
Second time here and got the mussels both times. Burger is tender and not over cooked. Fries are crunchy. Bread that comes with the mussels is warmed and they supply butter . It’s heavenly. It’s small inside but do not let that prevent you from sitting down . Both times there wasn’t a wait. All the waiters and waitresses work quick and the owner is a doll. I’ll be back next week For another round. Spend your Friday check here. You won’t be sorry.
Brunch was decent overall. The eggs on the Benny were poached well, and the burger patty was cooked just right. Nothing really stood out, though. I did ask for my potatoes extra crispy, but they didn’t come out that way. Also, I was curious why there was only one burger option for brunch, and it wasn’t even served with an egg option. The place itself felt a bit dark and cramped, and while our server was fine, they didn’t check back in during the meal to see how everything was. Probably won’t be going back in this difficult to find parking area.
Food was very good, side orders not as large as they say boast on the menu. Small, quaint atmosphere. Good prices. I'd go back
While the food was good, no one wants to be urged to leave, not once but twice. I arrived and was greeted by the bartender, who I wonder may be the owner. I was sat promptly at 5:24 PM (time stamps on my texts). Order and waited, had a beer and was served at 6:00pm. By 6:25 the waitress brought me the check, which I didn't ask for. At 6:36 myself and the party of two next to me was asked to essentially leave, as they had people waiting to be seated. I don't stay where I am not wanted. I spent $75 on my meal and drinks, party of 1. That's not even the standard 90 mins that I see being plastered on establishments websites. To boot the bartender told us "...this is how we pay the bills...". Frankly, I won't be back-- pushing people out is poor business practice and this is EXACTLY why those of us that are willing to spend money, rather stay home.
The food is alright but it's not possible to properly enjoy it. The lady taking the orders was absolutely awful. She was just so rude and unwelcoming. It's like she was very angry and ready to go to war with customers. She yells way too loud and gets too close.
