This place is SO good. We got the brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño cheddar, sausage, coleslaw, and scallop potatoes. It comes with a big side of barbecue sauce. The meat was tender and so good, and the scalloped potatoes were so flavorful! Highly recommend.
A classic Texas BBQ joint. You can smell the place down the street. I got loaded fries with brisket as well as the turkey sandwich and mac and cheese. The brisket melted in my mouth. The turkey was on par with what you would expect with Texas BBQ The sauce was thick and good. A very large venue, great for hosting events. They have a full bar with liquor, wine and beer. The owner and his wife came and introduced themselves with amazing hospitality.
First time here. I’m Dallas for a few days. Food hit the spot. Missed me some home state BBQ. Brisket is my go to and it did not disappoint.
Food was absolutely amazing and delicious. Brisket was tender and moist. BBQ sauce was also very flavorful and tasty. Sausage was also really good and flavorful. Mac and cheese was very cheesy and delicious. Blackeyed pea salad was and interesting and unique yet delicious flavors complimented each other.
Our first visit to Austin’s and it won’t be our last. I was very impressed with the 1 meat 1 side option on the “specials” menu because that meat consisted of 7 ribs. That doesn’t usually happen for the price point listed. Everything was good and my husband loved the jalapeño sausage. The sports bar setting with bar, pool tables and card games made it a great place to watch the game! Laid back with great food!
First timer. Very welcoming, and nice place to sit and eat. It’s was slow on a Saturday. Had the Fatty brisket (my nickname in high school) collard greens, and green beans, both of which were meaty. Good smoke on the brisket and veggies were top notch. Will be back!
Excellent brisket, excellent pulled pork. The baked beans, potato salad, and peach cobbler are done well and complement the meat offerings. I also liked the BBQ sauce and the locally sourced soft drinks. Cool vibe here and outrageously friendly staff. Many thanks to Keith at the counter. I see a lot of similar reviews on here and I truly hope this place does well. Addison is better because of Austin's BBQ. p.s. Austin is the last name of the owner. It's not a reference to our capital city. I had to ask.
I finally had the opportunity to try the restaurant just around the corner from my home, and I can say it was fantastic! My fiancé ordered the jalapeño cheddar sausage and brisket, and he finished everything on his plate. We are looking forward to returning, and I would definitely recommend the ribs. It's conveniently located in the Addison community.

If you are in Addison and are looking for great Juicy BBQ well loo no further this place is the bomb . Com, it's slap yo mama delicious! I also recommend the smoked habanero chicken wings. Not sweet, just the right kick, not dry at all just perfect. It's my favorite place for BBQ in Addison hands down. The service is friendly and attentive. The prices are fair it is worth every dollar for sure. The place has a great atmosphere not noisy and family friendly. My favorite part about my experience there was how quickly my food got to me. Thank you to all the staff for their great service and cooking skills......
AUSTIN'S BARBEQUE is the best-kept secret in barbeque. Cattleack BBQ within a mile, we prefer Austin's. Food Quality excellent, family run, always. Accommodating, the staff will get what you require. The neighborhood bar is really good, too. Again family run.
Wow, what can I say! Walked in and got a chopped brisket sandwich and potato salad. Excellent! Texas BBQ to a T. Dine in atmosphere is perfect and service was window walk up. Clean and friendly service and walked out smelling like bbq. What more could you ask for?!
Some of the best bbq in Dallas. Love this hidden gem so I had to give a review. I feel like most ppl don’t know about this spot but it deserves the recognition. Bbq is always delicious and fresh as well as the sides and desserts. The bbq baked potato is soooo good. I love that I live so close, I frequent this place often, and it smells so good as soon as you get in the parking lot! Give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

The food was good, I enjoyed everything I got, even though I do wish the side portions were a little bit larger. The brisket was good and not too dry, which is always a plus. My only complaint is I expected a lot better from the banana pudding, it seemed to just be made from a mix with a couple of cookies thrown on top rather than homemade complete with banana pieces inside, cookies throughout, and meringue or whip cream. As a banana pudding enjoyer it was very disheartening to receive. Otherwise, everything was good, just avoid the banana pudding if you're expecting something beyond pudding mix.
My sausage was a little cold, but I don't *expletive deleted* care because it tastes so good. The fries are delicious too, but the portions are a bit small. Don't order a double of fries if you're hungry, but definitely order them if you're planning on dessert. The cobbler wasn't the best. Tasted like one of those preserved pies you have to bake. Not the frozen ones.

Just your average good TX BBQ but nothing really exceptional or stand out. The meats (we tried the brisket and turkey) are good but pretty standard and a bit pricey in comparison to other spots. For our sides we got Mac n cheese and potato salad. The Mac n cheese was a bit soupy and mild tasting. The potato salad was big chunks and a mix of mustard and mayonnaise base ... If you like a LOT of sauce great. Personally this had way too much for my liking. The rolls were very store bought tasting. We took our food to go but the atmosphere was nice and they had a pool table which I thought was cool!
Brisket is quite good, the beans are good. The pulled pork isn't my favorite. I would not get the Mac and cheese again, and I normally love Mac and cheese. Far as desserts, the apple cobbler is great, but the banana pudding was a bit disappointing- no banana pieces, and the cookies on top were dry. Overall it was all right, but especially for the area, I think it's likely there are better places nearby. If we come back I'd probably get just brisket, beans and cobbler.
$17 for 2 Sides & a Sliced brisket sandwich. Brisket was kinda dry, but soft to the touch. Didn't have much flavor. Seemed like the sauce added the flavor. The fries were just average fries. The Mac & cheese hit the spot though. But when your side has the best taste, there's probably an issue. I wish I could have sat and eaten because the inside was really nice. Overall it's just mid tier bbq, At least their sandwich platter was anyway.
Pretty good barbecue… we’ve been a few times but the last time I went I picked up a chili brisket bowl and I was very disappointed. The container was filled up about halfway and there was barely any meat or chili in it. Mostly liquid… Message to owner… you also said they don’t put cheese unless you ask them to and they put cheese… I ordered the same size before (bowl) and it was way more ….

The place was okay but to be honest tge food was pretty mid. The fries were fries but the brisket was just too dry. But the staff was very generous so no complaints there
Food was texas BBQ. I enjoyed the jalapeños sausage. Brisket was on the dry side but good in BBQ sauce. I was very disappointed to see they charge for using a card. This is after they ask for a tip and of course sales tax. Management says this is a standard merchant fee. The fee is for the business, they then pass onto the consumer. Meaning its standard to charge the business to use their card service. It is NOT standard to pass this fee onto the customer. This reason alone I will not be back. Food was otherwise enjoyable.

Pretty dry n gross. Cool open space and big bar. I bet if you get some drinks in you the bbq would be better. Thankfully its named after austin and not dallas lol.
Absolutely horrible food. $75 for stale fries, microwaved mac n cheese and the meat looks way undercooked. Never coming back again unless they give me a meal that’s made correctly.
