Agave Restaurant and Lounge is a fantastic spot! Parking was a bit tricky at first, but we found a spot quickly. Once inside, we were immediately seated, and the customer service was top-notch. Our waiter was always smiling and had some excellent recommendations. We loved everything we ordered, especially the fried shrimp taco dinner – it was absolutely delicious! The rice was a bit bland, and the beans were just okay, but that fried shrimp taco was a game-changer. The chips and salsa were decent, and the drinks were great – I had the coconut margarita, and my partner ordered a crown with Coke. Both were spot on. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will definitely be back.

Sweet spot! Nice food options, and truly great drinks. Everyone was friendly, our server Matt was attentive and helpful. Music is great, food great! But TRACY! The bartender extraordinaire! The spicy margarita flight was the best 3 spicy margs I’ve ever had.Churro martini, whaaat?! YES!

My fiance and I had our engagement party here! Isaac (the owner) was easy to work with and went above and beyond our expectations! We had free range to decorate the room and he was very attentive to any concerns we had. The food, drinks and staff are truly amazing. I can’t wait to hold our next event here!!!

Agave was Agape❣️ My beautiful Queen (daughter) treated me to dinner. We both wanted to experience Agave when we came across it. We are foodies!! The decor tones, Agave plants, and warm lighting create a welcoming atmosphere. Our server was busy and still checked in frequently. We started with chicken empanadas. They were crispy, chicken was seasoned perfectly, very tender, and I loved the fact they were not greasy. The toppings were fresh which is a plus. We finished the evening with Pizza Birria, OMG ❣️ A must have; every ingredient was perfectly cooked and the dipping sauce was incredible. Let me not forget the Sangria, my, my, my tasty 😋 You got to end dinner with desert. I mean who doesn't. Warm chirros filled with caramel and whip cream ughhhhh excited to go back again.

Figured we would try this place out since we were in the area. We got the flight margaritas, all were tasty. Street corn for an appetizer, again they were delicious. My main course I ordered the carnitas fajitas. Very bland tasting. Although they came out sizzling, no flavor. I had no cheese, no Pico de Gallo, and no lettuce. Also we tried the Mexican mules, a little weak on the alcohol.

UPDATED REVIEW 2025: I gave this place another try, as suggested by the owner, but this time I went inside to sit. The ambiance is adorable, with upbeat music and decor to fit the restaurant style. The server was excellent, friendly, and attentive, and she knew a lot of the regulars that walked in, who were happy to see her. The chips and guacamole were very good and the portion of guac was large. The peach margarita was AMAZING. I didn't eat anything other than the guac and chips, so I will have to come back again to fully update my review, but I am increasing stars for this more recent experience. Looking fwd to next time. ORIGINAL REVIEW- 1 Yr Prior: We ordered from here for our office lunch on Friday. My coworkers were satisfied with their orders (Aguacate Rellenos, Fish Tacos and Street Tacos) but my cheese quesadillas were terrible. There was no flavor at all in the quesadillas, the orange (yellow) rice, or the "refried" beans (which were not refried, they were very watery). I was quite disappointed with the food and felt like everything was limp and tasteless. The chips were good and the guacamole was very good. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from here again. :/

Gael was amazing. My friends and I had such a fun time. We went for cinco de mayo and they had a $15 3 taco special with a margarita. Had a blast, would come again.

The waiter service was quick & helpful. The food was overall average 5/10. The pizza birria a nice shared food especially since it is on the heavy side & a little oily. But let me not forget to mention their beans which were actually delicious, probably my favorite part of the meal to be honest, 8/10 for the beans.

We should have turned back when we saw the dirty tables. The tamales were good, but the street taco fillings were terrible: the Al Pastor was burnt to a crisp, the beef was a collection of dry nuggets of tasteless brown and the carnitas were greasy piles of pork flavored steel wool. We left hungry. There are a lot of great Mexican restaurants out there, but Agave isn’t one of them.

Following up on their response: I was disappointed with both the food and the service during my visit. What surprised me even more was that their Management brought up gratuity in response to my feedback—something I never mentioned— so it felt misplaced and perhaps suggests some confusion on their part. Rather than addressing the actual concerns I raised, the focus seemed to shift to something irrelevant. Based on my experience, I can't say the restaurant met the standards for a quality dining establishment — especially given there are so many other options available. I hope they take this as an opportunity to reflect and improve. Initial review - Don't go to this restaurant. Disappointing food and horrible service.

Replying to their response: The menu clearly listed five tacos for $17 with ground beef, but I was charged $19 (not to talk of what they did to my friend's receipt - which was initially overstated but we noticed and they had to fix it). When I asked about it, the server falsely claimed that ground beef wasn't included—despite it being clearly stated. It was obvious to everyone he wasn’t being honest. On top of that, the food was bland and underwhelming, especially for a Mexican restaurant. To make matters worse, they hid a mandatory gratuity charge in a hard-to-find section of the menu. Overall, this was probably the worst Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. I wouldn’t recommend it. Initial review: They are cheats. They inflated the price of the order relative to the menu provided. Be careful and don't go to this restaurant. So many better options available.
