They have buffet in Wednesday nights , On Friday & weekend they close at 10pm Instead of 9.30 . They have spicy and different levels of spice for certain items on the menu ( like phó). Bento style box/plate for lunch menu Been here a few times, their food is pretty good, loved it. Except for last time I went multiple of their dishes tasted off/weird to most people in our group.
Absolutely loved my experience at Ly’s Kitchen! It’s hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had in years. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of delicious options that cater to every taste. Each dish I tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. If you’re a fan of Chinese cuisine, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommend! Delivery is offered on their official website!
first time coming here, ordered the orange chicken lunch special that came with soup and an egg roll. the egg drop soup was fresh and very delicious, along with the fried rice. the orange chicken was very tender and had amazing flavor, all of the food was very fresh and honestly the best Chinese food i’ve had in a very long time. the service was great, the staff are very friendly and attentive. i would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a new spot.
Very good Chinese food and very friendly staff. They were super helpful and were asking us over and over again if the food was good. The food tasted great and the best part was it was halal. The soup and dumplings are good followed by the reasonable portions of the mains
We came here for iftar and the food and service was great! I loved the mango mojito and the spicy Korean chicken so much! Will definitly be coming here again
I really enjoyed my orange chicken & crispy vegetable egg rolls. It was packaged well for take out. I was warmly greeted when I entered the restaurant. It was very clean also. I love that there is patio seating for good weather days.
Really good halal Chinese food. We tried variety of items from the chicken wings, chicken lomein, pepper steak, and sesame chicken. Our favorites were the chicken wings and chicken lomein both were delicious. Sesame chicken and pepper steak were good as well. Service was good as well. Lady that took our order was very nice and kept on checking up on us. The place also has a nice ambiance for families. Definitely worth a try
This is my new #1 Halal Chinese Spot. The amount of flavor packed into their chicken and the tenderness of the beef just blew my mind. The servers go above and beyond. And the pho was incredible. Sumptuous, cozy, and affordable, this place is a must-try. Tasty and worth every penny.
Tried Ly’s Kitchen in Sugar Land and was pleasantly surprised. The Chinese food was fresh, flavorful, and not heavy. Unlike many places that load the plate with broccoli and onions, they served a generous amount of meat with just the right balance of veggies. The flavors were spot on, and the place has a nice, welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a visit.
Finally, good Halal Chinese food in Sugar Land. The owners previously owned Jade Ly. However, this menu is totally different. Because the chef is Vietnamese Chinese he’s been wanting to make pho for a long time. I tried it and can say that it’s worth the wait. The broth is a little on the sweeter side but it goes well with the flavors that are in there. Everything tastes natural unlike some places where pho bouillon is used and gives an artificial aftertaste. The meat are tender and even the noodles have the right texture of chewiness to it. It’s easy to eat and drink this and takes no time finishing. They have a happy hour that’s from 4-6PM where you order one pho and get the 2nd for 50% off. This is an awesome deal since inflation has pushed all pho prices up by almost 100%. Because the deal was so tempting I ordered the Bun Bo Hue. This is a shrimp paste style and it was good. This isn’t a dish I normally order because you have to develop a taste for it because of the strong flavors in the broth. If you like Bun Bo Hue then definitely try it. Wanting to try other dishes we ordered the Mongolian Beef. This will be a regular dish for me. The meat is silky and super tender. The sauce is sweet, spicy and umami. Really delicious. The other dish was the Spicy Korean chicken. There’s really nothing Korean in it except for the name. There’s a funny story to it so ask the owner. Usually I don’t order chicken because it tends to be overcooked and dry but this wasn’t the case. It’s also tender. Sauce was unique and delicious. Definitely something I’d order again. Overall, I’d come back and try other dishes here. Update: I came back and tried more dishes. 1. Sesame chicken. It comes with a sweet sauce that was tasty and the texture was good. It may be a little sweet from some but when eaten with rice it balances out. 2. Cumin lamb. It was okay. I wished it had more cumin but not bad. 3. Jalapeño chicken. It was okay. It’s just saucy with sliced jalapeños. 4. Beef with flat rice noodles. Needed more wok hei(charring) and sauce. Slightly bland for me. 5. Salt and pepper fish. Could use more salt. Otherwise not bad. 6. Kung Pao chicken. This was just okay. My favorites are still Spicy Korean chicken, Mongolian beef, and beef pho.
We had an absolutely amazing dining experience at this Ly's kitchen restaurant (missouri city). Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. The hot and sour soup was the perfect start—rich, tangy, and comforting. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned and full of fresh vegetables, making it an ideal accompaniment to the entrees. The Mongolian beef was tender, savory, and perfectly balanced with just the right hint of sweetness. The spicy Korean beef had the perfect kick of heat while still being incredibly flavorful—definitely a highlight of the meal! The chicken dumplings were a delight, with a soft, delicate wrapper and a juicy, well-seasoned filling. The portions were generous, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Friendly staff and quick. We can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommended!
Where do I even begin?! For anyone who tried Ginsoy and didn’t get the hype, THIS PLACE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Ginsoy: only the soup was good. Long wait, awful service, and not once did anyone check on us. People would walk by and we had to practically shout to get their attention. The food took over 1.5 hours to arrive on a regular weekday, and it was more ‘Pakistani Chinese’ than authentic Chinese. Now, this place? I’m SO glad I found it!! Everything was the complete opposite of Ginsoy. Halal, authentic, warm, and friendly service with actual smiles. The food came quickly and was piping hot, everything you could ask for in a meal. I seriously can’t recommend this place enough. I urge all Muslims to give it a try – you won’t regret it! Never in my 11+ years in houston did i find a better “halal” chinese spot. Alhamdulilah 🩷
Everything here is amazing. My second time back. I drove 45 minutes just to enjoy this food and company. Flavorful, beautiful atmosphere, positive attitude in the staff. I really appreciate this place. Crab puffs, shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, hunan chicken, chicken egg rolls. Just amazing

The BEST place to enjoy HALAL Chinese cuisine. Place with true authentic Chinese taste, delicious food, very well presented and to top it off with excellent hospitality and the bottom line very affordable price. How can you miss a place like this. Among all the Chinese food place in Houston and adjoining cities this place is the best overall. Thank you server SARA for your suggestions and service, making this experience a memorable on. We will be back soon to repeat this experience.

We always use to go to either Tangras Daughter or China King(which closed now). This time we went to try Ly’s kitchen and it was awesome. My kids who are picky also liked it. We ordered hot and sour soup, Jalapeño Chicken with extra gravy, beef noodle and vegetable fried rice. Everything was very good with right amount of spice and taste. We will go back as service was really good too. Highly recommended👍
Friendly staff. Great service. Good portion. Had an amazing experience. Loved their hot and sour soup.

Mongolian Beef was really good!! The beef was tasty and not too chewy, just right! Requested no onions and make it more saucy they were able to do that! Fried rice wish it had peas and carrots it only had eggs but it was still fine Tried their Spicy Korean Beef it was more on the dry side and I like more saucy so I would not get it again but it was tasty and good if you like that type of stuff - I tried Mongolian Beef and Spicy Korean Beef and I prefer Mongolian Beef more Their crab puffs are a must try!! So delicious!!

I came for the Wednesday buffet, which is actually a month long buffet in Ramadan. For the month of Ramadan the buffet menu rotates daily. It's a small selection of very high quality options, typically 4 proteins, 2-3 carbs, 2-3 appetizers, 2 soups, 2-3 desserts, and some special drinks are included (mango lassi was there the day I went). There was nothing I didn't like, all of the food in the buffet was freshly cooked, extremely flavor, and honestly just delicious. All of the staff are heart warmingly kind, such beautiful souls running this restaurant that was opened in January 2025. I will certainly be back, so lucky to have found this wonderful restaurant.
Oh my goodness! To have a halal Chinese buffet in Houston again?? It was a joy!! The halal food options were wonderful!! 3 chicken dishes, 1 beef item, rice, noodles, dumplings, and 3-5 appetizers with 2/3 dessert options! I mean what more can you ask for? Really nicely priced and very speedy, kind, professional customer service. I ate with a group of friends (8) and it was a really pleasant experience. The desi crowd is tough to please and we’re lowkey hovering over the dishes waiting for the dishes to be refilled in such a busy hour which they should have common sense to go sit and eat instead of eating while hovering over the almost empty trays waiting for them to be filled again. I will be back!!! 10/10
The food was very fresh and the service was great. They do not skimp on the meat like other Chinese places. We also tried their buffet on Wednesday night on a separate occasion and it was also very good. I highly recommend this place as this is the best Halal Chinese Restaurant in Houston.
Nice small family Chinese restaurant. The food is great and tastes freshly made. The portions are adequate for the price. The staff is friendly and the food presentation is nice. The interior has plenty of seating but the chairs are uncomfortable, many of the chairs have a curve that makes you hunch over the table, you can't sit straight up. I enjoyed the food but was physically uncomfortable for the duration of my meal.

First-time customer at this place; ordered pickup ($51, tipped 10%). I walked in and was greeted by two friendly young men, and I only waited a minute to get my order. However, when I got home, I saw that the walnuts on my “Candied Walnut Shrimp” were charred! Why would you serve that? Also, the sauce tasted just like straight mayonnaise (wouldn't recommend). But, the broth for my Pho was actually delicious. That said, I was disappointed that my order didn't include any condiments—none at all; no hoisin, soy, or chili sauce—just a bag of bean sprouts and basil. Maybe it was just a bad night. Still, I won’t be coming back to this restaurant.

I was very disappointed by the service. While the taste was normal, their attitude towards customers is unacceptable. Instead of letting us pay normally, they added a gratuity to the bill beforehand and just handed us a piece of paper to sign. We never consented to this. (We always pay Tips.) It feels like they are profiling customers based on the location/demographic and assuming we won't pay a tip. This behavior is rude, and I won't be coming back.
We went to Ly’s Kitchen for the buffet, and our experience was very disappointing from the start. The male cashier at the counter was extremely rude to us. We mentioned that our child is 9 years old, but he insisted that our daughter was over 9 in a very disrespectful way. When we checked out, he added a 15% tip to the bill — which was shocking, as no one actually served us. It’s a buffet! To make things worse, the receipt even had an extra column asking for an additional tip. When I questioned him about it, he responded rudely and used inappropriate language. The restaurant owner really needs to reconsider keeping such an employee, as his attitude gives a very bad impression of the business. We paid over $73 for a family of three (two adults and one child, age 9) — $18.99 per person — for below-average food and poor service. The buffet had only about eight dishes, including French fries. Overall, it was the worst experience ever. I will never visit this restaurant again.
