There is a few places where one can get a decent cheese stake sandwich. This place has a very specific model which I respect and enjoy from time to time. They have a no frills best flavor cheese steak.

I never order the french fries they just don't do a good job with them. The cheesesteaks themselves are amazing regardless of which one you decide to get. Why ruin it an amazing sandwich with mediocre fries. The onions and peppers are great but I often go without them just to get that real meat and cheese flavor. They stopped using the aluminum-backed paper wrappers and the new wax paper to use isn't thick enough so the crease goes right through it. I really hate a mess but with the cost I really got delivered to back.

I was impressed with the Cheese Steak Ship in Sunnyvale. I ordered the Hoagie (steak) and it was the best sandwich I have ever tasted. Wow! Fantastic. Also I ate onion rings and those were good. Cost was $!7.41, I think. Customers order at the cashier and they call when your food is ready. The décor is simple; nothing fancy. There are 5 tables inside; no outdoor seating. There were customers at 3 or 4 of the tables but there also were a lot of takeout orders. There is plenty of free street level parking in the outdoor strip mall.

The Gilroy is my go to! It's honestly my favorite cheese steak shop in the Bay Area. I love how the Gilroy comes with whole roasted garlic cloves, it just melts in your mouth. I'm sad I can't order on doordash anymore due to my location :( but it's a must try!

I'm from Philly- so I'm particular about my cheese steaks. The Cheese Steak Shop does an awesome job. Great steak sandwiches, and fries. Friendly staff, and quick service. I'm addicted and we've been coming 2x/ week. If you love cheese steaks- sign up for a loyalty card- so worth it. Will try to get a photo next time.

What a find! If you're in the area and craving some top-shelf meat & cheese between bread, don't pass this place up. I've been to a few of the stores from this chain in the Bay Area and this one really stands out. The atmosphere is welcoming, the place is decorated neatly with signage about the history of the chain, and the employees are very nice and helpful when it comes to deciding what to get from the menu. Food is always ready quick and reliably similar each time. You can't go wrong stopping here!

Great place for an awesome cheese steak! Visited twice. The service is typical counter sandwich service but friendly and nice. The last time I came was my birthday and got free fries!!! I would recommend getting the 15" version of your favorite cheese steak combination. Even if you cannot eat it all (I can only eat 1/4 of that) you can take the rest home and freeze it (or share with a friend): that is a lot of (delicious) food for a small price. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat!

Service was fast and efficient and the cheesesteak was hot off the grill. Wish I had ordered a full sized roll but will learn for next time! Can’t wait to come back.

I also add the optional onions, sweet peppers, and hot peppers. I like the chicken better than the beef. These are all made fresh and are delicious. The Cheese Steak Shop is one of my favorite fast-food chains. Simply put, there's no better cheesesteak sandwich available in California. The restaurant is fast-food simple, but that's all it needs to be. Service is good but not remarkable. It's really all about the food, and that's what's important anyway. On a basic cheese steak, your steak is put on the grill and as it is cooking, the cook chops it up with a pair of spatulas until it's nearly the consistency of hamburger, adding onions along the way. Just before it's done, slices of cheese (American or Provolone) are placed on the meat to melt, and then the meat and cheese are put in a fresh, soft roll, along with some hot and sweet peppers. It's simply delicious. I also really love the big, nuclear-hot steak fries, something you don't see in many places. The Cheese Steak Shop always cooks them perfectly, too: crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. If you're a meat-eater and you're looking for a great meal, you can't beat The Cheese Steak Shop.

Delicious greasy goodness in the form of a cheesesteak! Sometimes I just have one of those days when I'm craving something greasy, savory, and filling and it was wonderful that I ran into the cheese steak shop! It's a shop dedicated to fulfilling all your cheese steak needs :) You pick a size, toppings, sides, etc.. you essentially just build your meal and they have different variations of the classic cheese steak if you wanted to try something new. I usually get the classic philly cheese steak. 10" if i'm really hungry and 7" if i'm not too hungry. They give a generous portion of steak in your sandwich! I especially love the peppers because it adds a nice kick to it and makes the sandwich super yummy :D The roll they used is soft but barely holds the sandwich together because they give a lot of meat and peppers. And to complete my meal, I either get the onion rings or their curly fries. They don't give that much when you order it as a side ): but the onion rings are delicious and fried perfectly. It's not too big or too small so makes it really easy to eat with my sandwich or in my sandwich. The prices here are great, the food is bomb, and the service is adequate. Nice lunch option if you're craving something delicious.

One of the better Cheese steak shops in the area, I prefer this location over the Monterey location in San Jose. Go with the Pepperoni Pizza steak it's so good! They also have beer battered onion rings which are also a favorite of mine.

Ordered a large cheesesteak with mushroom and spinach (Philly Joe I think?) and a large fries. The fries - great texture but pretty light on the seasoning. A little bland for that reason. The sandwich - enormous! Lots of good toppings in addition to the meat. I appreciated the heatproof lining of the bag to keep it piping hot, however, I don't know that you would want to get it delivered. It was fairly soggy even after just ten or fifteen minutes. Maybe order without sauce if you need to although then it might be dry... all told quite good although given the price tag it'd better be

The best cheese steak I've found that isn't located on the east coast. * The sweet and hot peppers are an excellent addition to The King of Philly. I can never finish the whole sandwich so I always have leftovers and the cheese steak reheats fine in the microwave or toaster oven. * The steak fries are usually tasty but they needed some serious salt yesterday. That was a first. * Pricing isn't too bad, The King of Philly (which has double the meat of the regular cheese steak), fries, and a drink is just about $20

Very much no frills place . Open kitchen so you can see your food being made not sure if that's a good thing or not however the kitchens old but seems to b well Captain clean. As far as the product this was my second time there and both times the food was acdefinitely acceptable , the pricing. Plane brings the ball and the portions pretty generous. Flavor-wise well I wouldn't make it up there amongst the top Philly cheesesteaks that I've had in in northern California or anything I will go back. wouldn't make a special trip but if I'm in the neighborhood and I'm hungry I dive in there and grab another Philly. they have several different types along with the normal accompaniment of beveraiges. If you're expecting anything fanciert this ain't it I got a bar next door in a fish and chips place i a Asian food place next to. I think it's the stuff that what is that stuff called, the stuff that's fermented my wife loves it but I can't I can't do that but anyways that's there as well and it's over by the old Michael's shopping Center in the blue Max Rocco's blue Max if any of you are all in all services is it acceptable food is acceptable I wouldn't go out of my way it's not expensive not cheap not expensive you know what food places cheap in cheap food has has a doctor and see what you think it's not going to kill you

I used to live in the east coast and ate cheese steak about once or twice a week. This is indeed the best Philly cheese steak sandwich I have ever had. Edit: The shop says it closes at 8:30pm, but then the staff said they only allow eating in by 8pm, which is quite early. Food got soggy after I got home. Should have stated clearly outside the shop. I have to take out a couple of stars.

I ordered a half Philly cheese steak and sweet potato fries. I ordered online. My order was ready when I got there. The sweet potato fries were mushy but a good flavor. The Philly cheesesteak needs some work. It was very dry and it had a very vinegar taste. You could not tell that the cheese was on there but I’m sure it was just all melted. The roll was great! I ordered it with onions and sweet peppers. I think I had some pickled peppers on there also but I did not order them. I love Philly Cheese steaks but I will not be going back there unless I hear they have significantly improved

This is a hit or miss place. I love this franchise but the taste differes across locations. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes super bland. At this location, I have to keep reminding them to season the meat as if I forget it turns out bland. Hayward branch is much better at this. I usually get the large chicken Philly with the Philly cheese fries.

I didnt think that the meat was that flavorful. Cheese was good. Bread did not impressive me. I am no cheesesteak conosseur, however. During dinnertime on a friday it took a while to get out order.

I purchased 2 cheesesteaks for my family only for everyone to get food poisoning. It smelled “different” from the start but everyone was hungry.
