Best Vada Pav I’ve had in the states. Tastes just like the Vada Pav in Bandra. 10/10 recommend.
I was recommended to stop by during my visit to try the spicy Amul Pav Bhaji, and it did not disappoint. This signature dish is a thick, flavorful vegetable curry topped with a dollop of butter, served with red onions and lime on the side, along with bread (masala pav). The pav bhaji itself is rich, hearty, and served hot (the heat really enhances the spice and flavor). The bread is lightly toasted with butter and seasoned with a special spice mix. Dipping the buttery bread into the curry is exactly how it should be enjoyed. It’s quite filling, so I ate half there and took the rest to go. I also tried the amruthulya chai. The spice blend was flavorful, though a bit sweeter than my preference, but still enjoyable overall.
Shandaar! This was truly a dreamlike experience for me. Pav Bhaji is one of my all-time favorite snacks, and this place absolutely delivered! 😍 The location, the aesthetic, the vibe—all on point. The owner, Amul, personally greeted and welcomed me, asked thoughtful questions, and gave excellent recommendations along with a glimpse into the story behind the business, which made the experience even more special. I highlighted my favorites, and I must say the Spicy Amul Pav Bhaji 🌶 paired with the Mango Lassi 🥭 was outstanding. The lassi was exactly the right thickness, just as described. This establishment excites me, and I’ll definitely be coming back with friends ✨. Thank you, Amul, for bringing this beautiful vision to life. Dil se Dhanyavaad.
Very authentic Indian street food from Mumbai, with flavors and taste on point. I’d describe this place as a ‘hidden gem’. I only discovered it since I happened to stop by in the area. Beats most Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. Outdoor seating under umbrellas is a vibe. In case you’re cold in the chillier months, just sip on a chai. Service is very fast. Cash and card payments accepted, 8% discount on cash payments. Menu has 3 main items - Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav, and Dabeli. Order the non spicy Pav Bhaji to start with - it has got some fire to it already. Re: went here again and ordered the same things as last time. The chai was exceptional, not sure what it’s made of - but it is one of the best ones I have had, and highly recommend it. P.S. drive in slowly from the parking side (not gas station side), saw many cars hitting their front bumper on the road because there’s a slight dip.
Food: 10+ items on the menu I got the classic Pav Bhaji with extra pav. They make the food fresh so it can take a couple mins to come out. They were not joking about the masala. Inside of the bread there was a nice red layer of mouth watering masala. I’m glad I didn’t get the spicy option. Pav was hot and the top was shining from the thin layer of butter. Lastly it was topped with some more spices and cilantro. Freshly chopped onions and a lime ( they gave me an extra one for free) on the plate. The Bhaji comes in a paper container. Nice spoon of Amul butter and more cilantro covered the top. Very hot and mildly spicy. Ordering extra pav beforehand was a good idea… Amruttulya Chai Really good chai! I’m sure it’s because of the sugar :p. They covered the lid with a piece of tape which is a nice gesture… but a bit awkward. Please invest in a better lid stopper or something. Restaurant If you already haven’t figured it out this is a food truck. Very nice red paint sitting on the corner of a gas station. There are 4 tables with roughly 20 seats/ “sitting areas”. I wonder if they have more chairs in the side or something. Two large umbrellas that look like they’re about to fly away provide nice shade for those who want it. Parking is uh… interesting. It felt safe parking in the street/neighborhood. I didn’t see any signs and my car was visible from the seat. Not sure how long you can park at the gas stations parking lot. Service No yelling out your orders here. You’re given one of those handheld timers to let you know when your food is ready. Had napkins, hand sanitizer and fork/spoons. Didn't pay attention for the use of gloves but everything felt clean and fresh. Staff is nice, they answered my questions about the spicy levels and how they prepared the food. Overall Must visit if you’re a fan of Pav Bhaji and or Vada Pav. I can see this place getting packed at night. Not sure how their togo orders are made
When in Sunnyvale, one must eat the cuisine that's prevalent in the area, in this case, it's Indian street food. I've had my fair share of Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav, but never while in the bay area. This humble food truck location had some outstanding flavors. The spicy Pav Bhaji was pretty damn spicy but the masala chaas (Indian buttermilk) helped soothe the spice. The masala Vada Pav, to me, was the star of the show. Great flavor, crispy outer casing and very soft, moist patty. Whenever we are back in the area, we are definitely coming back. Bonus: there's tables and a large canopy providing shade.
Pav Bhaji & More is a good food truck overall. Pav Bhaji: The Pav Bhaji is absolutely outstanding—rich, flavorful, and packed with authentic spices that hit all the right notes. It’s easily one of the best I’ve had and an absolute delight for anyone craving real street-style flavors. Portion Size and Value: The portion size is shockingly small, especially given the pricing. It’s hard to overlook how inadequate the quantity is, which really impacts the overall value for money. Service: The service is average. While the staff are polite, there’s room for improvement in terms of efficiency and attentiveness. Ambience: For a food truck, the ambience is impressive. The seating area is clean, well-maintained, and provides a comfortable spot to enjoy your meal outdoors. Overall, the Pav Bhaji is exceptional, but the portion size leaves much to be desired.
We recently ordered both spicy and regular pav bhaji from Pavbhaji and More, and it was an absolute delight! The flavors were rich and authentic, making it a must-try for any street food enthusiast. Along with that, we also indulged in their masala vada pav and bread chaat, both of which were equally delicious. From flavor to service quality and portion sizes, Pavbhaji and More deserves a perfect 10/10 rating. The staff was courteous, and the food was delivered promptly. Whether you're craving some comforting pav bhaji or want to explore other Mumbai street food delights, this place has got you covered. Highly recommended!
We came to know about this place recently so thought of giving it a shot since Bay area doesn't have dozens of Pav bhaji only places. We ordered Pav bhaji, Vadapav, Schezwan Vadapav and Chai. I really loved the chai and pav bhaji. Vada pav was a bit spicy as per my liking but pretty good otherwise. Since it's a new food truck there wasn't many people so we got our order quick. Also they have few tables so you might get to sit and eat. The location is something which was little off but the food was pretty good!
So this truck popped up in my recommendation right when my wife was craving for pav bhaji :D So naturally we decided to drive 30 mins to try it out. We ordered the Spicy Amul Pav bhaji, Dadar Vada pav and Masala vada pav. They have a few covered tables next to the truck. We were able to find a table. I have tried quite a few vada pav around the bay and the Masala Vada pav here was very unique and tasty. The Dadar vada pav reminded me of back home where they give you some "chura" along with the vada pav. Pav bhaji was flavorful as well and not too spicy. My 3 year old liked it as well. The service was fast and the owner was very friendly. Will definitely be back for more :)
Bay Area’s Best Pav Bhaji The food is just stop on for an Indian taste palette. Everything served is closest to how it is served back in india. Street food done right. Spice level can be customized, staff was cooperative. Tea was well balanced with right sweetness and tea leaf. It’s an amazing place for family to enjoy a meal together. Do have Vegan options.
First time trying vada pav, solid vegetarian creation for my omnivore. Dadar Vada Pav: slid out of the bag smelling like Indian McDonalds, straightforward savory fried potato patty sandwiched into a fluffy bun. Simple good. Dilkhush Dabeli (Toasted in Amul Butter): I don't have any idea what these words mean aside from "toasted in" and "butter" so I was easily lured. Sweet and spicy mystery potato patty, tastes like your typical thanksgiving sweet mashed potato's jazzed up cousin who just got back from ayahuasca. Buttery chaotic good. Instagram: TianTianEats
The Pau Bhaji was amazing, but the Vada pav lacked enough salt. The location is in the parking lot of a gas station. So you can imagine, that there are no other services. The gas station bathroom is as dirty as it can get. No hand washing. So the atmosphere of ambience is lacking, but the food is fine.
⭐ 4/5 – Flavorful and Authentic, But It Hit Me Later This was my first time trying Pav Bhaji, and it was an interesting experience. I usually prefer meat-based dishes, but this vegetarian street food classic turned out to be a flavorful, buttery, and rich dish that didn’t leave me missing the meat. 🍛 The Food: 4/5 The bhaji (vegetable curry) was packed with spices and a deep, rich, buttery flavor. It was savory, a little tangy, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. The pav (bread rolls) were soft, fluffy, and toasted with butter—perfect for scooping up the bhaji. The chutneys and sauces added great contrast—some tangy, some spicy, and all packed with flavor. Tasted amazing while eating it, but I’ll be honest—it didn’t sit too well with my stomach later. Could just be my system adjusting to it, but something to keep in mind. 🚚 The Experience: 4/5 It’s a food truck, so don’t expect a sit-down restaurant vibe. But for what it is, it’s efficient and fast. Service was friendly and quick, I got my food in no time. Parking can be a challenge, especially if they’re in a high-traffic area. 💰 Cost: 4/5 Affordable and great value for the portion size. Definitely worth the price, especially considering how filling it was. The Verdict: Worth Trying, But Maybe Not for Everyone ✅ Delicious flavors with rich, buttery texture ✅ Fast service and solid portion size ✅ Great for a quick and satisfying bite ❌ Might not sit well with everyone (heavier than expected) ❌ Parking can be a challenge Would I try it again? Yes, but maybe not when I have a sensitive stomach. If you like bold, spicy Indian street food, this food truck is a solid choice.
I liked the fact that it's a vegetarian food truck selling Mumbai street food in this part of the world. They have a limited assortment which makes it easier to decide and get quick service. We tried Amul Pav Bhaji, Masala Vada Pav, and Dilkhush Dabeli. Loved Pav Bhaji the most as the quantity and taste were awesome, with a generous amount of butter, and the pav was roasted in butter & masala. Same with the desi-burger-style vada pav. It comes with a watery chutney which is not required in my opinion. Instead, give a thick green chutney or ketchup. Dabeli was a little more sweet for me, so only try if you are a fan. There is a sitting arrangement and a fan to keep you cool during the summer heat. We enjoyed comfortably on a hot summer afternoon. Check out my full reel on Instagram - @veggie_central
This unique food stall operates from a trailer parked outside a Mobil gas station, offering a focused menu of all-vegetarian Mumbai street food. There are some vegan options available, and the distinction is important. We noticed that nearly all non-vegan dishes involve a heavy dollop of butter. While this certainly adds flavor, it also makes the food incredibly rich and fatty, which may be a concern for health-conscious diners. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and the trailer itself was sparkling clean, which we appreciated. Our main point of concern, however, is the value proposition. At a price of $7 per dish, plus tax and an expected 20% tip just for counter service, the cost feels steep for a meal served from a trailer with seating in a gas station parking lot. The concept is great, the staff is welcoming, and the cleanliness is commendable. However, the price point feels disconnected from the setting, and potential customers should be aware of the heavy use of butter in many dishes. As ordinary consumers, we are not paid or compensated in any way for this review. We hope this feedback is helpful for both the business and future customers.
