This place gets more visitor friendly every year. You have to order food. Anything. It's all good. Bring cash though! My staff gathered for a happy hour. There was plenty of space and the atmosphere was really comfortable.

I really don't want to know what they make the food out of at Blarney Stone. It is far too cheap and tastes far too delicious for it to be anything good. But seriously, the Blarney burger is fresh and juicy, served with lots of fries for under $5. And I've only been there on Thursdays because their wing night is amazing. Some of the best wings in Syracuse for criminally cheap. It can get crowded there but since they expanded into the new area it's been less congested. The bar tenders are all really nice and I've never had to wait very long for a beer. There is an outdoor patio, which is useless most of the year because of snow but is nice in the summer. Plenty of TVs inside to see games that are on. One thing to look out for is that it is a cash only bar. There is an ATM towards the back but best to avoid the fees if at all possible. This place is definitely a Syracuse gem. If you're in the Tipperary Hill area, drop by and have a bite to eat.

Great food and drink. Nice staff, management and owners. Lots of colorful locals chatting it up, easy place to strike up a conversation. Nothing is too expensive, food is totally worth it and is a bargain. Known for burgers, but other menu items are great too. I'm a big fan of the onion rings, which are super crisp and excellent. Easily one of my favorite tip hill area bars. Plenty of parking, but at times it is full so you need to park down the street - this is worth a half block walk...

Great place for food, drinks, and watching sports!! Always seems busy and parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it! (And you can always park on the street.) Burgers and onion rings are fantastic. Good prices. You order and pay for your good at the counter and listen for your name to be called, then go pick it up. Good always on point, hot, fast and super yummy. Staff always pleasant, and quick to assist. My boyfriend is on a Johnny walked Black scotch kick and they almost always have it….so if your drinking something swanky I’d bet they can accommodate you. Definitely one of my go to places. This neighborhood joint had been in business for decades. Known for the Blarney burger, the kitchen offers a wide variety of fresh made pub foods and daily specials. I often bring friends and coworkers here for lunch. Each time someone visits for the first time, they are amazed but the price, quality and volume of food. A large dining room, with two full service bars means you'll never go thirsty. This place is a Gem. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did!

Have been going here since the early 2000s. Will say, hands down, one of the best burgers and drinks for the price in Syracuse. Atmosphere is great as well. Tonight, though, was one of the first times I really experienced the real rudeness of the cooks/food preps. While in a packed bar/dining room it tends to be loud. Unluckily, Blarney announces their readied orders on a sound system that was developed in the early 2000s...I misheard my order two times and they made sure to make it a scene to the restaurant that my order was ready in a very unprofessional way. Disappointed, but oh well, I'll go back for sure because I love it there. To the cooks/food preps there, if you don't like your job, dealing with the general/intoxicated public, quit it.

Lived in the area forever but just recently stopped in for a famous Blarney burger! Definitely will be on my lunch spot list from now on. Food was good and reasonable priced. Only things I did not like was cash only (which they do have an atm but still a tad of a hassle but I can definitely overlook that) and you have to order soda’s and stuff from the bar. I would rather spend an extra dollar or two buying a bottle from the food counter. But still an amazing place to stop definitely would recommend!

Such a wonderful time for the first time and won't be the last! We were greeted the moment we walked in by a gentleman named Douglas, he showed us around and where to order drinks and food. As we were walking around, we were in shock with how many people said Hi to Douglas with a smile. We knew we were in good hands and at the right place. Blarney Stone is a must stop on any visit to Tipperary Hill! Always a fun festive pub especially on and around St Patrick’s Day! ☘️ The food is amazing and so affordable, you can’t get a less expensive meal anywhere of the quality they dish out! My friends and I agree Blarney has the best Reuben sandwiches on Tipp Hill, bar none! And to boot it’s $7.50 with chips! It’s walk up service and cash only, step aside and they will call your name when order is ready. We waited a mere five minutes, even on St Patrick’s Day! I always get teased for ordering the Reuben without sauerkraut, then it’s not a Reuben! I went for it this visit and literally just melted right into the sandwich, delish! I won’t be holding the kraut anymore! Plenty of brew on tap and beverages to wash it down! Can’t wait for my next visit!

This was my first time here today after reading how good the hamburger here was. It is definitely the best burger and fries I’ve had in a long time. Half pound cheese burger mushrooms and bacon was only $11 with fries. I got there at around 11am and it was quiet but by 12 it was not packed but had a very busy lunch service. 01/2023: The burger tonight was back to the level I expect from Blarneys as my favorite in the area. The fries still aren’t quite where they used to be, but instead of being 5/10 compared to the old fries like they were in August, they are more like 8 or 9/10 compared to the old fries, which is still excellent. The wings were also solid though I’ll need to remember to ask for them to be crispier next time to match my preferences. Minor complaint/thing to keep in mind, if you make the mistake of going on a game night you can’t get a free glass of water from the bar, you have to pay for a bottle of water. They’ve also removed the steak sauce I used to dip my fries into and moved the malt vinegar to be packets you have to ask to cooks for. Not a deal breaker since I enjoy the food so much, just a bit of a bummer. 08/2022: Stopped by while back in town. While the staff is still great as always, the burger and fries were probably the worst I’d had since in the dozens of times I’ve been here since I first started coming back in around 2014. Based on last images the fries looked different than they had in all my prior visits so maybe they had to switch up. Not changing the rating since one bad meal out of dozens of visits isn’t a huge deal to me. 12/2021: The lack of any masks was a bit concerning considering how densely packed it is inside, but the staff is still great and the food is as good as it was years ago when was going multiple times a week. Blarneys is still what I reference when I think of what I want in a Burger.

Blarney Stone has the best chili in Syracuse. I went to get the chili today and the woman working the register was friendly until I asked her for a receipt after I paid for my food. I should have asked for one before the cash transaction but my head was a little cluttered with an upcoming funeral and pallbearer duties. I asked for a receipt when i was putting cash in the tip jar. She did not acknowledge my tip, sighed, and neglected to acknowledge me when I said have a great day. Unfortunate to treat longtime customers over things like this; hopefully she just had a bad day and this was out of the ordinary but worthy of being documented.

I love this place and I make sure to visit every time I’m in Syracuse. The portions are generous, and the place is extremely satisfying if you’re looking for a sports bar atmosphere. But for now, I’ll stick with the burgers, wings and fries. I tried the “Tipp Dip” Wednesday special recently and although the price was great, I found it very stringy and hard to chew through certain portions. Also, I’m there to watch sports, so I really hope they turn off the news. The situation in our government today is too overcharged and polarized. Many people are very angry, so politics should be avoided in a fun sports bar, IMHO. I come there to ESCAPE politics… to lose myself in live, or even pre-recorded sports action. Other than that, these guys do a fantastic job, and considering how much food they have to prepare so quickly, it’s awe inspiring to watch them in the kitchen!

Very good food at a reasonable price. First, there's the free self-serve popcorn. Then, there's the award winning Buffalo wings. And finally, there's the award winning burgers. ("Best in Syracuse Awards" given by the Post Standard newspaper) Additional choices include pizza, chicken tenders, and sandwiches. The French fries are highly recommended, and we especially enjoy their corned beef Reuben sandwich. Their friendly staff takes your order at a counter and calls your name when it's ready to pick up. One minor drawback is that they don't accept charge cards. UPDATE-1: The self-serve complimentary popcorn is no longer available, a victim of COVID. Stopped in for lunch and requested 10 crispy Buffalo wings with ranch dressing. The wings turned out not to be that crispy, and they gave me blue cheese dressing by mistake. Nevertheless, after receiving the correct dressing, it was an enjoyable lunch.

Two red flags: they didn’t Id me (I’m in my 20s so I’m not terribly old), and the bartender used a drinking glass to get ice (this is a huge no-no because if the glass breaks in the ice, you have to get rid of it all). I got a simple vodka cranberry, it was good, not too much vodka. I went with a few people and they got food. They all raved about the food and it took about 10-15 mins for them to get each order. We went at around 3:30pm so not terribly packed, so they should’ve had the food done faster imo, but I didn’t order food so it didn’t affect me.

This is a local institution and favorite. A quintessential Irish bar with a friendly, lively & dynamic atmosphere. Many will enjoy this place, and rightfully so. I, on the other hand, prefer lower key establishments with a tad more creative food & cocktail choices. And being able to carry on with quiet conversation.

I stopped in to have a couple Guinness and check the place out. About 2pm on a Thursday and only a handful of local men there. Bartender was friendly and welcoming, never asked me if I wanted a menu but ok. Had a few Guinness and talked to a couple of the men there who were in their mid 60s and up but seemed friendly. Got a Carolina Pulled Pork Sando and a Burger. The Pork was dry, the coleslaw tasted like fish and the burger didn’t have any flavor. The bar itself is one of the best in Syracuse but the food has gone downhill which is bummer. This is a bummer, man. That's a, that's a bummer.

10/5/20 Ordered food to go. The man at the counter was rude. We Sat and waited for over 35 minutes ( right in front where people place their orders). My husband went to the counter to inquire. The man immediately handed over the bag with our burgers. Couldn’t believe we missed our name (Ed). Got home and my husbands order was wrong. Both burgers, ordered medium, were well done and dry. Very disappointed!!!! Just returned from a 6 hour drive, we’re tired and looking forward to a blarney burger. Husband paid for the special burger but got a plain, overcooked burger. Poor service, could have called the name again but didn’t esp after 1/2 hr. Don’t know if we will return.

I don’t know if the business hours are wrong online but me and a group of friends came in an hour and a half before close and we were treated like we were not welcomed. One of the employee kept turning off the lights where we were sitting, while the other areas with customers were left untouched. The attitude here is so rude and disrespectful. That’s not how you do business, but if you just want 35+ aged guests who eat chicken wings and a budweiser all night long just post a sign.

Food is good. But rude and disrespectful, disgusting, racist people. They are very discriminating. They will hound you or the people you came with. Skip over your music. Specifically doesn't let you play old school r&b, rap, or even old school country. Very dismissive and unethical. Get in and get out should be their motto.

Cash only which is annoying but whatever. Broke a $100 to buy drinks then asked for a cup of ice water for my wife (mid summer). They refuse and insist on needing to sell bottled water. After we've obviously already spent money... Pretty sure offering free tap water is a law (?) but not sure. Either way, nice first time here. Honestly if the business was struggling I'd rather pay $1 more for my beer and get treated like a human being rather than be nickel-and-dime'd over tap water. Not classy. Bartender who I interacted with was very nice and apologetic (still tipped), and the drinks / vibe are nice and I hear the food is good. Makes you wonder why they choose such bizarre alienating management policies.

Totally Disgusted with how we were treated!!! Had a voucher from Bid on Syracuse for the Blarney Stone, we wanted to use it for our dinner, Nobody at the Blarney Stone knew what to do with the Voucher nor would they honor it after waiting at least a half hour hoping they would figure it out. They also didn't care that we left without eating. Please train your staff in Customer Service and don't offer vouchers you don't want to fill or know how to honor. We will update this review if Blarney Stone makes this matter right. till then a phone call will be made to Y94 who promotes this food voucher auction.

St. Patrick’s day was huge let down. I had to start my celebration late because of work (like we all have to sometimes). Blarney was my first stop but I should have passed them all together. I asked for my Guinness to be poured in a normal glass because it wasn’t busy, at 11:30pm but I was responded with an absolutely not (obviously because she had broken down already and wanted to leave as soon as possible with her friends at the end of the bar.) When I asked why I couldn’t and slightly protested I was met with an extremely aggressive push to leave to the point where she told security. I have lived close to this bar for many years and never felt so much like an outsider. Guess you need to be 21 or YOUNGER now to get in here or especially work here….what a shame that such a decent establishment has been ruined by their childish employees.

I will say it’s probably time for a new bouncer. I go frequently and he’s always miserable and rude. Kids are stated to be allowed until 9PM. On a Thursday night at 6PM to celebrate my friend’s new job, in addition to roommates new promotion at work. When I went I brought my little brother since I know that kids are allowed. When we entered, we showed our IDs and stated we had a kid who came to grab food. He stated he was not allowed. In the background, we all see a 4 year old running around with a family. He practically told us the best he would do is make us sit outdoors which we agreed with but throughout the whole interaction; there was discrimination from when I handed my ID to leaving. I have gone around 30 times in the last year and I will say probably one of the last with how my little brother was treated compared to any other person let alone child

Food is ridiculously slow lately. Takes over an hour to get your order in, even if you call ahead, and half the time they forget your order. Why don’t you hire some extra help? Used to be a pretty solid spot but I don’t come here as much anymore with the food being so SLOW.

I stopped in with my family to get burgers and drinks. The bartender (Kayla) is incredibly rude. I asked for a glass of water and she snapped that they “have to charge for water.” Another customer at the bar was given free water without any issue. We were polite, paying customers who came in for dinner and were treated with attitude for no reason. Management needs to address this kind of behavior; it ruined what could have been a nice meal.
