Very run down. But a great stop non the less. Great Frito pie. Route 66 as in the past
Wonderful hospitality. Sit and relax on the outdoor porch on a breezy, beautiful day and it is a little slice of paradise.
Working in the area stopped in got a burger and fries would have to say one of the best burgers I've ever had
Masel is an interesting person and a GREAT artist, the store is eclectic, something for everyone!
Outstanding home cooked food. Ask about the name carved in wood by the door and the bar....
Great food and service, your going tio get good old fashion pepper food and service
A great display of southern hospitality and good food. This Canadian loved it.
Great little stop, awesome home cooked food by the friendly owners and a fun gift shop.
At first I thought we'd walked in on some old lady taking a nap. Nope, that's the Tumbleweed grill. At home service for sure.
Great stop! Super nice attendant. Very cute location.
What a great find.... a must see place. Good breakfast too
Very nice owner! And Great food!❤
Home town feel. The burger was great.
Wonderful atmosphere, very kind and chatty owner

My favorite eatery on Route 66
A great place on Route 66 👍🏼
Food, drink and a little bit of everything else!!!
Western remind us where we are today
Awesome place. The food is great and the owner Mazel is a wonderful person full of great stories and local history. My wife and I fell in love with her cat and dog: Gates and Scooter.
Cute, charming, little place. Please DO stop by an visit. It is a wonderful visit back in time, with the just the right amount of charm and kitsch. The owner is very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend her Bread and Butter pickles! Delish!!!. Great food and souvenirs.
My wife and I read about this little town in out trip book and decided to check it out. We found Tumbleweeds Grill to be a charming, small and friendly place to stop and have a coffee or food and have a chat to it's delightful owner a lady by the name of Marcel (apologies if I have got that wrong). She told us the story of how she bought a derelict little building turned it into a food stop and Route 66 delight. Highly recommended. All the best from Australia.
Great homemade burger. It's a one person show but she does a fine job and is entertaining to chat with. A route 66 gem in the old style. Recommended.
One of my favorite stops. The food is good. The giftshop is well stocked but visiting with the owner was a pure joy. Her art is amazing!
The Tumbleweed Grill is a slice Americana on old Rte 66. Ms. Zimmerman has a big menu full of good choices. I chose the burger! Yummy! My husband ordered the bologna and onion sandwich. He loved it! He also had a bowl of home cooked veggie soup. Mrs. Zimmerman also has her beautiful artwork hanging on the wall. A must stop at the border of Oklahoma and Texas on Rte 66.
Stopped here today on our way through 66. Amazing little place, very welcoming with lots of road trip supplies. Loved the dogs too!
Omg amazing homemade food, cooked to order. Awesome artwork, and great conversation. If I'm ever near here again I will definitely stop for the biscuits and gravy.
The owner is so nice and the food is great. She is also a very talented artist. Her artwork makes the place welcoming and beautiful.
We came in because of the guide book n u made it all worthwhile with ur omelette, charming small talk n ur captivating storytelling not to mention the beautiful paintings n ur witful ingenuity - u r a true original, thank you so much for ur time!!!
Excellent place to stop and relax on Route 66! One of my favorite places. Great food and unique gifts! Stop and say Hi to Masel!
A MUST STOP for Route 66 travelers. Masel makes the stop even better. A great welcoming committee with the dogs out front.
Really nice! I loved the paintings that were on the walls and Masel was just the sweetest! Also loved the branded burger!
Food was good, prices reasonable, atmosphere great, and people, both staff and customers, were super friendly, like they knew you.
Excellent food and atmosphere. The owner is amazing. Make sure to ask her about her travels
The steak was made well. Eggs and toast nice and crispy. I would send a friend here for breakfast.
The lady was really nice. The food was good too. Amazing sweet tea.
Special Route 66 Hidden Treasure! Very quaint environment and incredible homemade country cooking. Decorated art gallery surrounds the dining area. Outdoor seating centered within a beautiful garden and pond. Simple convenience store within for essentials, unique gifts and homemade treats. A must-stop along Route 66 for a pleasant experience and home cooked meal.
The owner is very friendly. All the painting on the wall are her own. A lot of neat gifts that are route 66 related. Only got a burger, but it was amazing! She has dogs outside that are unleashed, but they seemed very friendly. It may seem like a hole in the wall place to eat, but it's a really cozy, comfortable place to have a nice, quiet meal. I will definitely be back!
Amazing find! The food was fantastic, and Masel is the sweetest. She treated me and my two little girls like family. This is a must visit!!
The hospitality of Masel is second to none and the pecan pie and pumpkin pies she bakes are to die for. She runs this place alone so large groups may need to give her time to prepare their orders. She has many interesting stories to share. Definitely worth stopping here.
Masel, the owner, was a lovey host. She cooked my father and I lunch, and told us some great stories of how the place came to be.
Simple but nice food, lovely owner, a must stop on the way to Texas
Great food. Lovely owner explained the local history.
Thee last stop west on Oklahoma's Route 66. Stop. Rest, Road Warriors. Have a bite. And keep the Mother Road alive.
Very cool place, good home cooked food...highly recommend!!

We stopped at the Tumbleweed Grill for breakfast. What a hidden gem! It's a wonderful old Route 66 cafe. As we pulled in, the owner/waitress/cook was watering her flowers and a little four-legged welcoming committee came over to greet us. I can highly recommend the biscuits and gravy! The dining area adjoins a little store with western shirts, Route 66 memorabilia, and they also have bagged ice. There are also some truly lovely paintings on the wall that were done by the owner. So if you find yourself traveling along I-40 near the TX/OK line and you are discouraged by the lack of non fast food options, take a short detour to the Tumbleweed Grill. You won't regret it!
Stopped in on our Rt 66 Trip, very inviting & interesting stop! So glad we decided to have lunch here. I eat a vegetarian diet & many menus are full of meat options only. She was special as she makes her soup of the day vegetarian! Enchilada Soup was delicious! My husband had a delicious burger. Great stop!
Went for a late lunch, out cruisin' 66. They had all you can eat catfish, which was delicious! Rolls are freshly made, very good. Finished the meal with coconut cake pops dipped in chocolate, which was the perfect amount of sweet to end the meal. Very friendly atmosphere!
What a great find. On my way to New Mexico from Oklahoma, I stumbled upon this restaurant and I was very glad to have stopped in. I'm not usually one to stop at random restaurants along the highway but I was feeling adventurous this day. Masel was very kind and fixed me up some tasty home made food. Her vegetable soup was delicious! There were some very cool paintings and other items all over the walls inside, including a flag that was signed by numerous people from other countries that had stopped in at some point. I would highly recommend stopping here for a quick bite to eat and some good conversation!
This place is truly one of a kind. When you walk in you immediately feel at home, & the owner is absolutely amazing! Honestly if you've never been here you're definitely missing out. Hands down some of the BEST food I've ever eaten.
The tumbleweed restaurant in Arizona located on route 66 off of I-40 we made it a point to go here because we saw a documentary and the owners a woman and a man I'm sorry I can't remember your names her animal lovers I can't believe that people would leave their pets in the middle of the desert and these people adopted him great bunch food was great wish they would have had some place where we could stay a motel I hope they're all right I wanted to reach out to them but their phones no longer listed all our prayers are with you and keep up the great work with the animals and the dogs
What a great little place. The food was great. I loved the branded bun and the homemade fries were delicious. Plus, the owner was so friendly and had great stories. My girls loved hanging out on the porch and petting the animals that the owner fosters. It is not a fancy place, but nice and down home. Feels like eating dinner at grandmas house. Quaint is probably the best way to describe it.
I loved this place. It is so unique and a part of history. The owner is gracious and kind she will talk to anyone who wants to talk. Each table and setting is like from a different families home dining table. There are lots of paintings by the owner. The food was great, I had a cheeseburger with fries l. The meat was juicy and tasted like it was made with love. It has a rural feel and the grill and store are on Route 66 on the Oklahoma side and she lives in the trailer next door in the Texas side. This was a wonderful experience I will be back next time I go this way.

Se resiste a morir. Pura ruta 66
I enjoyed it! Burger was good, big truck parking and lots to look at and talk about while you wait...
Really good food and a unique place to visit on Route 66 !
Nicest lady with the cool stuff and stories to tell. You gotta stop!
Homie and quiet! Small but enjoyable!
A very charming place to stop in the middle of Texola. The woman was very kind to us and the food was OK. Don't hesitate to stop by there!
We were looking for an interesting diner, and we sure found it here. Texola OK has a total population of 15, but that might be an exaggeration! The Tumbleweed, and the church nearby, and maybe that ONE residence, were the only apparent viable structures in this tiny forsaken place! But the Tumbleweed itself served us some delicious liver'n'onions and some good cherry pie and ice cream. The owner-cook-server is a tired but never-quit type lady who also paints an array of subjects and enjoys visiting with her customers. This stop was definitely a high point on our trip.

Great 66 shop, food was a average
Great 66 shop, food was a average
closed and durty
Closed almost always
IT IS CLOSED
Food was stale and cold. Never again. Not just my food but all of my party of 12
Got chased by dogs before we could even get out of the car while the neighbors next to the restaurant just stared. DO NOT STOP HERE!
Dirty unhygienic outdated food. Once we noticed all the condiments were outdated and very caked with dried condiments we opted to cancel our order and leave. The lady threw a fit and still charged me for the food. Do not go here this place is a health hazard.
DO NOT STOP HERE EVEN TO TAKE PHOTOS!My girlfriend and I read it was closed, but thought we'd stop by to take photos. At first it was ok, but then two small/medium sized dogs ran around the building barking and surrounding us. I couldn't pull forward or back without them trying to stop me. I ended up speeding away, but they chased after us for several hundred feet giving us a pretty good scare. DO NOT GO HERE!!
