I'm so glad my coworker picked this place because I probably wouldn't have given it a chance with a 3.9 rating. I tried a steamed dumpling and the sesame chicken - both were easily the best I have ever had. Really good portion sizes for lunch too - I was impressed for the price!

We have been long-time customers of Wok Xpress. We have always enjoyed whatever we ordered. They are always thorough when we place a special order such as cashew chicken no celery - we don't get celery. The serving sizes are large. We have never order something which we did not like or had an issue with. As for ordering, we always walked in to order and waited inside to get our to go order. We do like like Wok Xpress. Great food.

Update: Staying in Frisco tonight and my kid wanted sesame chicken. I couldn’t remember which place it was we ate at before (that we didn’t really like) so I just randomly picked one off of Postmates to be delivered. I got the general tso and she got the sesame chicken. It was amazing. I don’t know what was different between last year and this year but it was very good this time. Old review: Long wait which was okay bc it was freshly made. Didn't really taste like most places sesame chicken but it was still good. My daughter didn't like it but she is picky. The hot and sour soup didn't taste anything like normal. Wasn't terrible but not anything I would order again.

The people are courteous. The restaurant inside is very clean. They are so friendly while they take your order inside and outside when we went through the drive thru. They take 10 minutes or less to make some of the best most deliciously flavored food I have ever eaten especially for Asian type food. My kids love their food too and you know how some kids are very picky. We go back to get their foid whever we can on our budget. Plus they do deliver which I have done too. The food is always delivered hot, fresh and in less than 20 minutes. If you like vegs, carbs and meat all together this is the place to eat. The serving size is generous.

Great and surprisingly fast service. Awesome prices. Honestly, the only good Chinese place in the colony and we have been to every single Chinese restaurant up here trying to find a good one. Have used their drive through several times even sometimes even 10 minutes before close. Never been disappointed. Perfect for those late or bust night when you just don't want to cook.

Great service. We went later at night so my fried rice was a little dry but I'll try again next time I'm in The Colony. I gave 5 stars because the cashier was friendly and professional.

The bulb person is either lying or prefers to think with emotions rather than actually facts. I personally know all the staff (I hang around them and know them personally they're genuinely good people working). They've never been rude to a customer. Its the customer most of the times that belittle or talk in a condescending way like that guy. And when the worker talks back it's them having a bad demeanor. There isn't any other better place to eat Chinese food than this place.

Five stars on the food. I was close to 4 stars on one issue, but may be petty. When I order chinese, chopsticks should be standard and it took a bit out of the experience. The steamed dumplings were absolutely amazing. They seemed fresh and the veggies in the mix actually had a bit of crunch and a freshness. They had an option for extra crunchy on the General Tso. It was some of the best I have had in a long time. Just moved to The Colony last week and settling in. But this place will be on my list of go to food places when I dont feel like cooking.

The food you get for the price at this place is amazing! Their lunch plates are HUGE and range from $7-$10. One of us got a shrimp fried rice lunch plate for $10. The staff are always friendly. We come here once every few weeks as a group with our adult students and we're never let down!

Wish they would have the Lo Mein as special again. It's been a Long time and usually they have it every 2 to 3 months... I used a credit card and Mistakenly left Or dropped it. I thankfully didn't have any charges and Just went there and they Had It... I'm SO GLAD to still find Honest People... I Didn't find Anything wrong. I had the special and Superb. The Dumplings were not too greasy and nice and crunchy. The Rice is DEFINITELY the Best - I've had other places that cook so long that you need a chisel to actually see a grain. This was fluffy and Not congealed together ! It was Not swimming in grease either which I have been unfortunate enough to have happen. Very decent amount of meat included, VERY worth the price. I will be a REGULAR.

I always get hot and sour soup and vegetable fried rice. Always tasty and vegetable fried rice I can split for second day meal very generous portions. My best friend and I call it our "secret eating place"! She got me started on dumplings and Love live the edamame ! They also include fortune cookie. Yummy!

I was honestly pretty concerned about this place after I didn't read the reviews until I had already ordered it via doordash. I was pleasantly surprised. This was excellent. The fried rice was as others reported but wasn't bad. The egg rolls absolutely perfect.

I ordered chicken, rice, and dumplings and 2 drinks for delivery. my order was delivered in a timely manner but the kindest man with the warmest smile. he delivered my food but forgot my drinks! i did not mind at all about the drinks as humans make mistakes but my driver took time out of his day to come back and deliver my drinks without me having to call or complain! It was really sweet. I will always order here

Enjoyed the food so much that we forgot to take a picture of it before we ate. We split the Chicken Lo Mein (comes with 2 dumplings) & the sugar biscuits (comes with 20 mini biscuits). OMG this was so delicious & a perfect amount of food to split for lunch. For $8.64 we are both extremely satisfied. We will be coming back. 10/10 would recommend!!

Conveniently located on Main Street in The Colony. This is my go-to place for Chinese food when I'm in a hurry and need to go through a drive-thru. Inexpensive for what it is, and as long as you don't try and bamboozle the staff with an incredibly complex order, you should be okay.

If you like spicy food with lots of vegetables in your chicken dish then go for the Hunan Chicken extra spicy! This is the one dish I love at this place along with the Combination Fried Rice. Never disappointed with quality!

Good food. We don't live in this area anymore, but once we drove thru the Main St we noticed this place and tried the food and we liked it. We got the food from this place a few times and we enjoyed every meal.

Pretty great food for what you're paying! The bourbon chicken is soooo delicious, i do wish they wouldn't let it get as dry, but the flavor is great!! And their egg rolls and egg drop soup are the best!!

Excellent experience. Down home feel to this little hole in the wall restaurant. Really enjoyed hanging out and having a dinner. My only criticism was the sauce that I ordered was supposed to be extra spicy but ended up being just sweet. It was still good but not what I wanted.

The taste and quality of the food was great! Hot & Fresh! Only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is the drive through speaker was messing up it took forever to get my order understood. And 10-12 min in the drive through is too much time.

There's not a lot of great options in The Colony for good food. If you're in an Asian mood, Wok Xpress is a great choice! For sure my "go to" in this area for a quick meal. The service is fantastic as well. Both dine in and to go are quick and the food is always consistent and very tasty. Keep up the great work!

We got dinner at Work Xpress from the drive-thru. Many choices on the menu. We got Chicken Teriyaki bowl, chicken steamed dumplings and chicken fried rice. The food tasted fresh and made to order. A little disappointed after I saw the healthy food rating as the food quality seemed much better than what was posted on the window. Thankfully I saw the rating after I had ordered or I probably would have missed out. Yes, I will likely be back (hopefully the rating will increase)

I went through the drive thru and ordered the Mongolian Beef with fried rice and a Chicken Egg Roll. The total was fourteen dollars and change. The Egg Roll was fantastic. I ate it on the drive home and genuinely considered going back through the drive through and getting several more. It was crispy and delicious. The Mongolian beef had a decent flavor but less sauce than I would've liked. Also the entree was extremely heavy on the onions. Now, I absolutely love a sautéed onion but the meat to onion to everything else ratio in this entree was completely out of whack. I ended up being very disappointed with the amount of beef I got. The fried rice was extremely basic. Just plain white rice, fried. Would I go back? Probably. I would not get the Mongolian Beef again. I'd definitely get a bunch of egg rolls and a different entree with less filler.

Portions are generous! Great food! I ordered chicken cashew and beef lo mein & the fried rice, I loved the garlic sauce in the lo mein but I received plain brown rice…? Not sure if I received their version of fried rice or just a plain rice? Overall pretty good food and pretty quick delivery.

This place was great when it first opened. I went there at least twice a week. But it just got worse and worse. They use less expensive rice and wrong rice. They put less meat and the meat is cut too thin which makes it dry. The food also tastes different. Don't think the chef is Asian.

Good food, like any other chinese food joint. They have a lunch special for 5.99 plus tax. Chicken fried rice. Issue; their serving size is little bit on the less then what I would like it to me Dine in content was not the same amount you get with takeout box

quick Chinese food, good size portions, but tastes like all pre made pre frozen meats or battered meats. if is wasn't for the fact the sauces being really good, it would suck. I wish they would make from fresh, I would gladly wait an extra 5 minutes for a better tasting plate.

Wrote an honest review of this place concerning my 3 visits. Two were great and one was bad due to the way they cooked the chicken. I still said I would eventually try it again because of the two good experiences. I looked again and it was gone , so i do not know what type of agreement they have this review service but now i will never eat here again and this is last time I post on this review service. Watch them take this one down as well. It's okay, there are other places to post and inform people.

Sept 29th. Updated review. We have ordered here a lot. My favorite meal is Cashew chicken but it doesn't have a lot of taste so we have been getting Garlic chicken and Broccoli Beef and it has been pretty good. This time we ordered Garlic Chicken and Spicy Hunan Beef. Both plates were unsatisfactory. The chicken tasted like it was either a bit old or not marinated at all. The beef tasted cheap to us both. I don't know if this is due to Covid, saving money or if we ordered in a bad cooking night. I thought it was worthy of a review so you would know what you are getting. Be ready for a three. And hope for better. They deliver fast. Friendly service. Old review- checked and My husband and I order from Wok Express at a least once a week because their food is really good, especially for to go food.. and I am pretty picky. I wanted to write this review because they forgot to put cashew nuts on my food and I called them to tell them and the manager himself delivered the cashews and more egg rolls, minutes later. I am very impressed by the manager himself being so concerned about customer service. Thank you so much to Wok Express! You go above and beyond. I will continue to tell others about your good food and service!

Hubby ordered at the drive-thru, the guy read the order back correctly, what was in our take out bag was NOT what was ordered. Unfortunately he did not check the bag there so I found out when he got home ☹️ He’s on his way back to get the correct food. Check the bag BEFORE you leave!!

This was a great Asian food restraunt until I received my bank statement and noticed that the charge was more than what I signed for.. It seems like the driver had given himself a little extra tip.. This is wrong in so many ways and how many times have they gotten away with it.

The food tasted like it was stale and had been sitting out. The egg drop soup had a nasty taste to it. The fried rice was just regular rice with no vegetables in it. It was not good.

Decided to give it another chance, really bad decision. The triple seafood was awful, the cran Rangoon dry and inedible. The health department really needs to look into the quality of the food.

Gave them instructions about each meal we ordered and they got it all wrong.

The lady working the drive thru needs to wear gloves. She's handling cards, and cash and I saw her touching, and repositioning food.

UPDATE February 2024 - Not sure if the management changed or the chef's changed but their food has dropped in quality. Kung Pao chicken is basically just carrots, less meat & doesn't taste remotely close to what it used to be - Fried Rice lacks flavor - Overall lack of flavor - This has happened twice in a row now so I cannot recommend folks to try this place unless they absolutely have no choice. Previous Comment - This is my go-to Chinese food spot when I'm at home. I'd recommend their Seafood Combination & mixed meat fried rice. They never skimp on the protein so you're getting good value out of what you're spending here!

I used to order from here 2 or 3 times a week they must have a new manager because the guy that answers the phone to take orders now is always rude.. I called at 9:10 and he said no deliveries after 9. Ok no problem. Before I hung up he said they close at 9:20. First of all the website says they close at 10. No delivery after 9 is fine but who closes at 9:20. I was going to walk and pick up my food since my car is currently in the shop and he wouldn't take my order because it was going to take me til 9:25 to get there walking. This place used to be my favorite place in the colony but I will not be getting food here any more. Order taker is a lying jerk.

Egg rolls were drenched in grease. They were disgusting and had no flavor. The orange chicken needs more orange juice. It has to much soy sauce or brown sugar where it just taste more like BBQ sauce for some reason. Vegetable rice was ok. Delivery and customer service was good.

Maybe skip the chicken egg roll. Filling was unidentifiable. Noodles are good. Shrimp is made from frozen. Entree was pretty ok

I normally love getting food here, used to love the egg rolls. Unfortunately tonight my order was not good at all and I threw it in the trash. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. Egg drop soup with extra crispy noodles and 5 eggs rolls. I get home to no sweet and sour sauce. Old stale crispy noodles and missing the extra order I paid for. The egg rolls were all mushy inside like they just fried batter, no veggies inside the roll at all. Very disappointed and I won't be back.

My wife & I decided to order from this establishment because our go-to spot was closed. The place appeared to be abandoned on a busy Monday evening. Walked in: I really did not know what to order, so the lady at the counter told me she would make what i desired. That sounds good! So, I ordered the garlic shrimp and the hunan shrimp for my wife. Waited inside: I sat and noticed this place could use a Gordon Ramsey makeover. The seats looked dated. The was gloomy from the dark windows. The only plus was having the menu displayed on the wall, but even that is questionable. It looks ghetto 🙄 At home: Our meal was hot, but fairly large in portions. We opened the lid, and both smelled good. But it missed the mark. My dish was drowned in garlic sauce with tons of grease in sauce. My wife experienced the same. We both skimmed veggies & meat from the sauce to prevent an upset stomach. We ate the food because we did not want to waste money. Also, food lacked flavor... Sorry, we will not be back...

Just finished eating there, had Orange Chicken and Rice, didn’t even finish my food cause the chicken was so tough. Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had, would not recommend.

Stopped on way home and got a “Dan Dan noodle” to go. Got home to find it half warm, half cold. Called back to express dissatisfaction with my order and the best they could come up with was to bring it back and they could heat it up for me. Seriously? I own a microwave and a stove. No longer a place I will consider eating at.

I had ordered a lunch and a dinner over the phone. About ten minutes later we pulled through the drive thru to pay for and get our food. We had ordered over the phone to save time that was incredibly limited during this lunch. We were instructed to pull up to the window and there I gave them a credit card to pay for the meals. We sat at that window for fifteen minutes watching our food get cold sitting next to the window while the lady was doing who knows what. Finally another gentleman came up and gave me my card back and then handed me my cold food telling me they would charge me for it later. I could have paid cash, that wasn’t a problem. I was amazed by the time lapse and sequence of events that occurred. I do have a pending charge for the amount on the receipt and I can’t believe I paid someone else to sit in a drive through when I didn’t have time just to eat some cold food in the way to my next job site.

This is the 2nd time on Sundays where i had to wait over 30 minutes for an order, and there no one else in the drive thru, and no one eating inside. I go here very often and when the old lady isnt there this place cant function. I will never go back to this place again, after waiting 30 minutes i asked for my money back on the drive thru and the dude just handed me cash.

When I got my food I didn't have the rice. I contacted them and they said they would have it right out as soon as the driver got back. 1 hour later after speaking to the manager (Osvaldo) he said his driver hadn't made it back because of the construction that was going on on Main Street and as soon as he got there he'd send him out. I asked him how would I be compensated for them not having my order right. He stated he could give me a free plate next but had to check to make sure it was ok but would cancel my rice order that they forgot. I asked him why I couldn't have both and he didn't think it was right. Who knows if we'll get compensated on our next order because there will not be a next time

Ordered the Chicken on a stick (not the beef on a stick).. this definitely was NOT chicken! I honestly believe we've run into a place that imports rat meat from China and sells it as "Chicken" many places have been caught and fined for this across America. But my reasoning for saying it was not chicken is that the meat didn't really shred when you pull it apart like chicken is supposed to.. you know have those little shreds slivers.. and the fat consistency was fir SURE not chicken.. chicken is a very lean meat and this stuff had huge hunks of fat that pulled very strangely on the meat. I truly believe this was rat meat and I will never order anything from here again. Thinking to report them to the Board of Health.

Trash Service. Ordered for delivery. Waited an hour. Nothing. Called to cancel order. Order arrives via the manager himself. Told him I had cancelled because order had taken so long. He said, "CANCELLED?!". I replied "yes, cancelled". He sneered and stormed off. Will never order from here again. Will make sure no one I know orders from here again also.

The lady who answered eventually was very personable and the delivery was on time, that's the only good part. It was a little pricey and frankly the food was blah. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Someone watch out for what you eat when you order from Wox Xpress especially the one at The Colony, TX. I don't know what would have happened if I ate that shrimp, fried rice, D11 hunan style (Beef). Some of those meat, shrimp, chicken are leftovers from days ago. Ew! (*_*). I called the store to complain but this manager was rude, he argued for 3 minutes that I had no proof, so I have alerted the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service to check them out for public safety. Chicken was so dry was like jerky . Ordered at 11 am and the food tasted so bad we all trashed it. 👎🏼 They just opened at 11 am food should be fresh not tasting like yesterday’s food!!!!

I got the chicken teriyaki bowl and the chicken was sooooooooo dry and I couldn't even eat it. I can't even believe that they used this chicken. I normally don't give bad reviews but this being my first visit to this place, was hoping for better than this. :-(

Literally the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Wonton soup was terrible and the orange chicken was so crunchy and hard you couldn’t eat it. It’s also extremely dirty and the restrooms look like they have never been cleaned

Quite honestly the food was good but when you go to a restaurant… ANY restaurant, you’re at least allowed to get a water cup. I don’t know who in management needs to hear this, but the guy taking orders needs to get fired. It doesn’t take much to have a nicer tone and have enough personality to keep customers, but I have never heard of water being denied ANYWHERE; Specially if someone takes the time to sit down and eat at your restaurant. I understand charging for a coke or any other drink… and no, money wasn’t the issue, the guy’s attitude and demeanor was. That small experience won’t have me coming back. I suggest anyone wanting to eat here and lives closer to El Dorado, just go to Hot Wok. The people are super friendly there and the food is the same or better in my opinion.

I have had delivery on more than one occasion with this restaurant. Only 2 places in The Colony deliver to my work. I have also had to take my food back EVERY time I ordered from them. The rice is always sticky and tastes like dirt. I have had the teriyaki chicken and it also tasted like no teriyaki I have ever had. It was so NASTY! I have had the a couple other chicken dishes. Hoping it was just the one time that the food was horrible. NOPE! Not sure where they get their chicken but it does not taste like chicken at all. More like processed meat. I have spent at least $20 every time I have delivery due to the fact they have a minimum purchase and I include a tip of course. After work I take the cold nasty food back to them and ask for a refund. He is always willing to remake my food or refund my lunch price. However when I bring up that it cost me $20 for the lunch not $7.99 I am told that it is not their fault that I don't like their food. That means I go without lunch for the day and at 6:30 when I get off work I finally get to their store and he only refunds me $8 without budging on anything else. The last time I took it back the very rude manager and had made an agreement that I would never order from them again and he would never have to listen to my complaints. So far sacked lunches have not disappointed me like the food they serve here!

Have been a loyal customer for over a year. Have not complained up to this point. I.order combo fried rice my usual n there is really never any meat in it..called and expressed .how i feel about this and their delivery services which i always tip.the driver but he is incredibly rude when he doesn't get a tip.from others that order. I was brushed off no apology given. You just lost a good customer over this experience. WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN!! And will advise friends and family the same. Also my beef iwas not fully cooked. That was the worst experience I have ever had. The staff was rude. When I first walked into the restaurant The cashier was leaning on the counter with absolutely no enthusiasm and when my mom was playing around with him about it he tried to act like he didn't speak English and when his manager came to the counter he still did the "I don't speak English " act. We told the manager and she wanted to get an attitude with my mom and me. That is not appreciated. Also when the cashier walked away he all of sudden knew how to speak English quite well!! Evidently, this business must turn such a large profit that losing a customer means absolutely nothing to them. I find the behavior of the staff and management appalling. Its not that their food is even the greatest or of high quality to begin with it is a matter of convenience. So truth be told if you want subpar food and poor customer service then Wok Express is for you!!!

I was very disappointed. We arrived at 9:15pm; they close @ 10pm. Only 2 of us eating but they placed our food in to go containers and said they were closing in 15 mins. We left.. I had ordered Chicken Teriyaki & it must've sat under a heat lamp all day. It was dry & hard. Same for my son's Orange Chicken. Will not be returning again.👎

Definitely won’t be ordering from here again. Had my fiancé order something quick for the family as we were craving Asian cuisine. When our food arrived, my fiancé four season didn’t have any tofu in it whatsoever, the fried rice that came with hers & my entree were dry. The kids lo mein was very dry as well. This company is horrible! Their driver backed up into our car (he didn't even look) he said he didn't speak English and his manager was coming. The owner shows up tells my husband that he will pay out of his pocket to fix the damage. We even said we'd do the work to save him money. We bought a $110 light kit (because you have to replace the whole thing when the plastic is broke) my husband went up there to show him the receipt to get reimbursement for the $110 we spent on this light and the owner stated sorry call the police now because I'm not gonna pay for any of your damage. I will never eat at this establishment again! This is supposed to be for the Wok Express on Main in Euless.

So disappointing, so I ordered there about a month ago and order the Hot and Sour soup. It was nasty. Even I can make a better soup than they do. But was willing to give a second chance. This time I ordered the Wonton Soup. Look at the picture Wonton Soup is made with a clear chicken broth the one I got was dark . The wonton were so soggy and no flavor. Now lets get to the main course. I have had it here before and it was good. The last 2 times they have dropped the ball on there cooking of these items that should be second nature to a chinese restaurant. Will not be going back.

I didn't eat here This business left paper promotional flyers under every door in my apartment complex- we're talking three floors of units. As a result, their ads are now littered all over the complex. We don't need more litter and paper trash in the world. Until they clean up their act and either mail the flyers so they don't end up blown around by the wind, take up digital advertising, or, better yet, maybe work on addressing their low reviews so they don't need to rely as heavily on advertising and deals, I won't be visiting.

I passed by this place with my husband and family and figured to give it a chance. Never again. The customer service acts as if they don’t even care of the people coming in. We set the table for ourselves. The food is a whole other story it’s expensive for no reason. It was oily and salty, the chicken was mostly just bread and discolored, it was just off. The lo-mein was smothered in salty and sour sauce that makes the whole dish inedible. Overall a terrible experience and made us sick. Run from this place, it’s horrible 🤢.

Why are your doors locked during business hours? The sign says on the front doors “these are to remain unlocked during business hours” there is no reason for me to place a call in just to sit in the drive through, it completely defeats the purpose of being in and out quickly. Haven’t ate the food yet so can’t speak on it

I had it Delivered and it was pure slop I ordered eggrolls they didn’t even bring them I wanted my rice my extra dark, it came out wighter than a bar soap Beef lo mein had no flavor. Not even sure if The chick sesame was even chicken The only thing that was good about it was it only took about 20 minutes for them to deliver it I do not recommend this restaurant at all

We've been loyal delivery customers for a long time. The quality of your food has gone downhill. The last 3 times the food was overcooked, and the amount of meat in the dishes has been drastically reduced. Won't order again.

We really tried with this place countless times. It's so inconsistent, they forget your order completely, they forget side orders, it's hardly ever been a good experience. But my husband likes their beef fried rice so there's that.

We ordered orange chicken, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, fried rice, and the skewers. The food tasted like it was recycled I would not even rate this place with a one star at all. My kids were so upset about this food. It was TRASH! The sauce they put on their food is nasty. I wasted my $50. Nothing was working in there, no ice, no drinks. When you see the sign just keep “Wok’in”. I feel like I got robbed.

Online Location/Ordering Platform said open and allowed my wife and I to order food around 5:30, which was to be our dinner on Thanksgiving, but it never got delivered. Tried calling, but no answer. Drove up to the location and they were closed. We shouldn't have been able to place an order, and get charged, if the establishment was closed today.

Ordered shrimp fried rice and the shrimp was spoiled. I ended up throwing up.

Ordered delivery. Bourbon chicken was dry fried rice had no flavor, wonton soup basically tasted like water. Forgot my chili oil. Called and received bad customer service couldn't even take my food back for a refund. Waste of money. Would not order again.

Picked up orange chicken, chicken egg rolls and fried rice. Chicken was awful, not sure what was in the egg rolls and the fried rice wasn't good either. Ate the egg rolls only because they weren't sweet. The two broccoli pieces were good. Had to throw away the chicken. Definitely not edible.

I hadn’t been to Wok Xpress in years, and this visit was terrible. The experience was awful from start to finish. The person who attended me seemed like they were about to be fired by the end of the day – very poor English, poor advice, and bad customer service. The food was just average. There are plenty of places nearby with much better food for the same price, and even some cheaper ones. Run if you can

Fried rice is not fried at all rice is brown and everything else is kept hot some were. No flavor nothing!!!! They used No wok to prepare this. No sautéed onions no sautéed garlic nothing. Just tossed around brown rice steamed peas and carrots and steamed old chicken some shrimp and some kind of beef and there you have it “ fried rice”. This place used to be good. But that was many many months ago. I will not be coming back and do no recommend this place to anyone. You better off going to panda Express . Don’t come here you will definitely feel like you got ripped off.
