Loved this brewery which is in the Bay Meadows Delaware St area of San Mateo. The setting is very nice, new, clean, lots of seating, heat lamps. I had the Mosaic Box double ipa which was tasty and had a creamy texture. Didn't have the chance to try other beers because I kept going back to this.
Just minutes down the street from my brother’s place. Surrounded by newly developed businesses, it is in a pristine location for social and business events and happy hours. Great outdoor space for families. Bocce Ball and spacious for kids to run around. We were celebrating my sister-in-laws birthday and were allowed to buy and bring in outside food. That’s what gives this rating a 5 stars! They’re risking their potential profit from their food menu in exchange for repeating customers to enjoy and have a relaxing experience with tons of craft beer options. Great service as we sat pretty far away from the main dining area.. constant staff check-ins.
Great place to enjoy an excellent beer, outside, as long as it's not freezing out 🙂. I've been here several times and the beer is always excellent and the staff is helpful and kind. The available options for food has varied a lot, but, I mean, this is a place for beer, ya know?
We brought our stuff here for lunch and had a great experience. The manager, George, was incredibly helpful and informative. He took the time to walk us through each beer, explained the differences, and made excellent recommendations without rushing us at all. Great atmosphere, great beer, and even better service. Thank you, George — hope to see you again soon!
Great place to grab a beer. They have a wide variety of choices. I like coming here for the sours. It’s a great place on a nice day. You can order off your phone with a QR code. They have some covered seating but the rest are outside. Food is pretty good as well but wouldn’t come there just for it. They have bathrooms there as well. Fun place to hang out and grab a drink.
What a cute place for solo, families, friends, groups, and doggies! All are welcome and there's enough space for everyone to be comfortable. I came across this wandering after a doctor's appointment and it's a lovely area with more shops and restaurants further down. They utilize open seating and there's a qrs code o the table to order through Toast tab. They have a rotating, seasonal menu, currently Oktoberfest themed. This is a brewery, so they're drink heavy, limited food but snacks, salads, pizzas are available. I tried the Brattza (bratwurst, sauerkraut, mustard, no onions for me) - sounds weird but it was delicious. I would appreciate a bit more brat on it. I also had the kale salad which had tasty, fresh beets, and the perfect balance of dressing. I had the Aloha slushy, absolutely amazing, I had two. I am not a beer person, so I was pleasantly surprised with the slushy. It was really so good. Overall, neat place, easy service and checkout with Toast tab, great seating, and a fun game area, television, and welcoming to all. I will definitely visit again!
Great spot to enjoy a beer and appreciate the beautiful San Francisco weather. They have many different tap beers to choose from and serve absolutely delicious pizza. In fact, this was some of the best pizza I've ever had. The crust is thick but fluffy with lots of toppings. The best part of the pizza is the outside edges. The pizza seems to be pan cooked with crusted cheese all the way up the edges. My coworker and I stopped by on business and I might go back a second night in a row. Absolutely delicious. The kale salad was also amazing and a perfect side to balance the pizza.
Non-Alcoholic Delight: A Perfect Encore at Sawdust Festival Laguna Beach, CA – As the Sawdust Art Festival kicked off its opening day on June 27, 2025, amidst the vibrant artistic displays and the energetic tunes of the Cobra Cowboy duo, I stumbled upon a truly remarkable find: the Fieldwork Encore Hazy IPA non-alcoholic beer. Poured with a beautiful, lasting head of foam, this non-alcoholic IPA immediately impressed. From the first sip, it was clear that Fieldwork has crafted something special. The "hazy" moniker is well-deserved, with a wonderfully cloudy appearance that promises a full-bodied experience. And it delivered. The taste was simply excellent – rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, capturing the essence of a quality Hazy IPA without the alcohol. Enjoying this refreshing brew next to the Cobra Cowboy stage, it truly felt like the ideal complement to the festive atmosphere. It was, in every way, perfect. This is a non-alcoholic beer that doesn't feel like a compromise; it feels like a genuine, high-quality craft beer experience. I will undoubtedly be seeking out more of the Fieldwork Encore Hazy IPA. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying non-alcoholic option.
Overall, a great vibe! They only have outdoor seating, but it’s heated, and you can order directly from your table via their website. For such a small spot, the IPA selection is impressive. The Detroit-style pizzas here are to die for! We got the Fireball pizza. It wasn’t too spicy and was perfectly cheesy. It’s usually crowded after work since there are so many offices nearby, but we always manage to find a seat. Sharing a table with others adds to the experience, too. They also have a clean bathroom.
January 2025: Stopped by at night for a member appreciation event. Free Pizza 🍕 😁 for members! 😋 Pizza and beer was excellent. I had a flight of IPAs. Location is convenient for taking the Cal train. Keep up the great work Fieldwork team. 11-24-17 update: Had some juicy IPA 🍺. The sensee was a hit! Chill place to hang out and enjoy some quality 🍺 - especially like the pale ales and IPAs.
A great place for a drink and a meetup with friends. It’s an outdoor space but the are umbrellas and heat lamps. Good thing there was no rain and mild temperatures when we were there. Only thing I would have preferred was a TV to watch a game. But that could ruin the atmosphere. I’ll live. Repeat. It’s a great place for a drink and meet up with friends (not watch TV).
We visited Fieldwork Brewery on a lively Friday evening, and the outdoor space was perfect for a casual night out. The seating is self-service, and you can conveniently scan a QR code to place your order, which makes things easy and efficient. With plenty of heaters and a couple of cozy fireplaces, the atmosphere was comfortable even as the evening cooled down. We tried the Detroit-style pizza, aptly named the "Delivery Boy," topped with pepperoni, jalapeño, olive, and onion, and it did not disappoint—tasty and flavorful. Service was quick, and the overall experience was great. Definitely a spot we’d recommend!
Everything is dramatically better than 2.5 years ago when I first visited. All the food options, especially the pizza, is superb. Quality of every style of beer has also improved significantly. Based on what I had, I recommend the Oktoberfest light lager, Olivia, Sour currently on tap, New Zealand IPA ( and I'm not an IPA person usually, especially not California made ones other than Russian River ), and the Stout on tap ( Oct. 11th )
Went here on a weekday at about 2. There were a few tables that were occupied at this hour. We got Adrianne, Madalynn, Tiger Uppercut and the Boylan Root Beer. We didn't order any food other than the Pretzels. The beers were tasty and very good value for money. I will definitely come back here for more and try others.
Came here twice and really enjoyed both times. They have a wide selection of beers from light to IPA to dark, and they change their selection often as well. Great to come for a drink after work or in the evening, they got good vibes. Street parking is fairly easy to find but during busy hours might need to go one block out to park. The tables are first come first serve, so just sit at any open spots. They have their menu on a QR code at each table which is also where you order from. Their beers are reasonably priced - $8 for full size, $5 for half or $3 for taster. They also have a flight where you can pick 6 to try for $18
We frequent many of the Fieldwork locations. It's our favorite brewery. The one in San Mateo is very nice. It's really well situated in a park setting. It has everything you need to enjoy your time there. Open air and shade for warm days and partial cover with heaters for evenings or cold days. The servers are attentive and friendly. Like some other locations, they offer delicious corn chips with dip, tamales or grill cheese sandwiches. Or you are also welcome to bring your own food, picnic style and enjoy along with your beer. There is a kiosk for ordering from a nearby burger place as well. Once you have your beer of choice and food, you can choose from a variety of seating areas or play a game of Bocce ball. Clean and stocked bathrooms are a welcome plus. Definitely will return wherever we get a chance.
Great service great selection of beer and nonalcoholic options and nice to have the ability to order food from nearby.

Mary was an amazing server, was so so helpful and very knowledgeable about the crafts. Thank you Mary!!
Nice place to chill with a cold beer. Lots of options on rotation. outdoor seating has plenty of shade
Absolutely amazing beer and amazing atmosphere. Love this place however have to say be sure to make sure your whole order comes out. Since the service for food comes out as the menu items are ready…

Amazing pizza and beer, what more could you ask for besides having it with good company? Oh wait also fast service and friendly staff... the trifecta of a good time
My buddies and I had such a blast at The Links! Such a great price to reserve and play a bunch of fun games. It was easy to reserve online and so easy to order drinks and food to be delivered to us…
Lot of varieties with the beer. I am a hazy ipa person so was hoping that they could introduce a variety of those ipa's. Great place for people who like IPA or Lager. The setting is friendly, buzzing and outdoorsy. Recommend that they could clean the tables after a party leaves. Lot of seating area and parking place. We ordered the hoppy IPA flight and hummus dip with pita. Side note: they let you bring your own food(BYOF). There is a decent burger place nearby called ROAM artisan burger. You can check my review for that place. Great place for office bonding like a happy hour on Friday or weekdays.
Outdoor bar w/heat lamps for the colder nights. They have a good variety of beers & lately have added some N/A drinks as well. They have a really good pizza, and some other food, but you can bring other stuff in too Added bonus for the colder nights-there's a fire pit The bartenders are awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable and always visible.
Nice beer selection and good outdoor seating. Lots of different benches and outdoor spaces in this converted shipping container style beer garden. It’s definitely a corporate vibe but the beer is good and the whole area is so what do you expect. Lots of new apartments nearby, decent parking options at lunch time on street. The hummus was really tasty but too little quantity for 9 bucks. That’s my reason for taking a star off. I would still come back and. Try other menu items
Nice venue, lots of beer choices with flight options, it's also nice that it's totally outdoors with lots of seating and parking nearby. I wish they had more stouts as I don't like IPAs as much, but that's just personal preference. Overall pretty cool place to come by and get a drink with friends.
Really sad that they stopped serving pizza. The beer is good, but the pizza was excellent for Bay Area pizza. I will likely not be going back since the pizza beer combo is gone. Bring back the pizza!

Not too many food items available. \nWas looking for more of a variety especially because I have two boys\n\nService was amazing and ambiance was just ok for families
Food & drink were expensive, but ok. It's pretty much self-serving & outdoor ambience was unremarkable. The chairs, hard iron seats & backs, were extremely uncomfortable! There needs to be cushions!
Servers are the typical bay area mixture of rude and arrogant. Great location and outdoor space. You order with QR codes which is always terrible but they started letting people order at the bar. Good. The beers are terrible. All IPAs, sours, and syrup-sweet "stouts". Not a single proper ale, lager, porter or anything with malt or nuance. Just hop, sour, or sweet overload to cover mistakes in brewing. I want to like it here but it's always disappointing.
